Ready for A Slow Dance w/ A Stranger(Kate)

[Adrian]

Adrian nodded, understandingly. Whether she intended to or not, Kate had given Adrian a bit of insight into what things she wasn't particularly comfortable about. Adrian made a mental note of these things, in order to avoid them, or at the very least, approach them gingerly if they came up in the future.

The waiter brought back his titanium Amex, and Adrian signed for it, leaving a generous tip for the waiter, as he tended to do when he ate out. Kate offered forth another question, to which Adrian rose an eyebrow at.

"You know, you could technically make a very good case that this is just a repeat question of my own, worded differently. But I'll humor you. And no passes, either," Adrian said, smirking. Sure, he was more of an open book than Kate. But Adrian, on the other hand, had nowhere near the rough and tumble early life that she did.

"Since we're being honest... feelings do. Feelings are something I'm not especially used to. I didn't get a whole lot growing up, and business runs in my family's blood. I'm used to retaining an aloof atmosphere from the rest of society, so when someone starts making me feel otherwise...."

Adrian trailed off, staring into Kate's eyes with a sort of longing before he caught himself, shaking his head.

"That's when I start to feel uncomfortable. Though I can't say for sure whether I dislike it or not..." He said, smirking.

"What do you think of the Reaper's motives?" Adrian would ask, venturing forth a more important question, lowering his voice somewhat so as not to alert the attention of anyone who may be listening in .

[Kate]

"Considering we haven't done much yet, I really don't have any comments about things. Not yet."

Kate got up from the table, calmly. Gentle fingers settled her dress and hair in a few movements. There was a smile on those full lips. The blonde was ready to blow this Popsicle stand. She grinned down at him until he got up as well. She'd put her hand back in the crook of his arm once he did so, and proceed with a slow sort of stroll out to his car.

"Do you regret loosing to me?"

There was a sort of twinkle in her eye as she asked. The blonde was enjoying their little game, and it could probably continue all night. That was something that Kate was really looking forward to, truth be told.

[Adrian]

With their meal paid for and eaten and everything squared away, Kate stood up, ready to leave. Adrian followed suit, crooking his arm for her to take it as he expected, and walked with her out of the establishment, nodding a goodbye to the employees who wished them well as they exited.

Kate's next question came, then, and Adrian grinned, and shook his head. "Not in the least. Not yet, anyway," he said with a smirk. He opened the door to his car for her, helping her into it, and then stepped into his own side.

He turned to her at that point, starting up the ignition, and shot forth another question.

"Would you like for me to lose to you again sometime in the near future?"

[Kate]

Kate grinned at Adrian, already ready with a saucy little answer. She slid into the car first though, clicking the seat belt into place. Her hand reached out and grasped his for a second, gentle fingers wrapped around his.

"Yes, but the thing I look most forward to is the time you finally win."

There was a smirk on those full lips. The pale woman was going to enjoy this night fully. She had every intention of flaunting him around all the other girls, only for them to find out (or at least think) Adrian had no interest in them what so ever... because he'd be wrapped around her. Even if it was only because of a bet he had lost. That g ave a slightly sour taint to the night, but that was alright. Nothing was perfect after all.

"What exactly do you look for in a woman?"

[Adrian]

Adrian smiled at her answer, nodding appreciatively. The girl was clever, and had quite a wit to her; Adrian enjoyed that. He started the car and began driving, not as obscenely fast as he had before, but at a relatively normal speed. He'd already shown off his penis enlarger, no need to do it multiple times in one night. Kate's question fired off as he drove, and he thought about it. He knew the answer was going to sound corny, but, well, he had to tell the truth, right?

"Oh, y'know... someone like you." Adrian smirked, ready for a groan or something to come from Kate in reply.

"Honestly, though. Beautiful, tall, clever, smart, not breakable, strong mind and strong body, and, it's always a plus if they have money. Then I feel less like they're dating me for my bank account than my personality. So... yeah. You fit the bill, almost exactly. Lucky me, eh?"

Adrian grinned, and pulled up to Kate's domicile. It was late enough that valet parking had become available, and so the valet was standing outside, waiting. Adrian removed himself from his car, going around to Kate's to get the door for her as well, as he would always do when they were together. Once she was out, Adrian caught the eye of the rather young valet, and gave him a wink before tossing his keys over to him.

"You take this baby out, I will know it. And you will die. We square?"

The valet nodded nervously, and Adrian smiled. "Good."

Taking Kate's arm in his, he led her back up to her suite. Once she unlocked the door to let them inside, Adrian would flop down on the couch, lolling about rather lazily.

"Alright, I got another one: What kind of books do you read?"

[Kate]

Kate didn't groan or roll her eyes, she just smirked. The blonde got out of the car in a smooth movement. Heels clicked on the ground as she walked around his penis extender, and she was soon standing by his side again.

"I don't really read. I use to love curling up with a book back when I was a freshman, but now... I find other things to be more entertaining than reading books. I use to love fantasy books with knights and the like."

Back when she was cute as a button freshman. Ha. Back when she was innocent and always wanted a knight in shining armor to come and rescue her ass. That wasn't something she dreamed or wished for now though!

"What do you want to grow up to be?"

There was a bit of humor in her voice as she spoke because she had worded it the same way teachers did to small children. Just a bit of a tease.

Adrian could easily identify with the girl's answer. While he enjoyed reading himself, somewhat, he supposed, it was never really that big on his to-do list. He preferred historical fiction, though, when he did read, but that was beside the point.

He rolled over on the couch, laying on his stomach, when she asked him the question. He frowned, unseen by her at this point. Why does everyone keep asking me that?

"To be honest, Kate, I'd never given any thought about what I wanted to be," he said, either ignoring or not getting the humor in the way the girl had presented her question. "I've always known what I was supposed to be, what I was going to be. I am the sole heir to Hanlon Networking, after all, both of its legacy as well as its processes. When my father passes, controlling stock of the company will be shifted to me and I'll 'run' the company. Like my dad does," he said, a little disgusted at the idea. His dad didn't run anything.

"I don't know, it's what's best. The name needs to live on."

Adrian shrugged and rolled back over again, his eyes catching sight of the Xbox 360 under the TV. He got an idea for another throwaway question, and put it out there.

"How much would you say you like to play video games?"

[Kate]

They were in her place once again. She took her shoes off by the door, and set her purse on a table. The blonde would then walk to the sliding doors of the living room with the wispy curtains, even as he answered to her question and in turn asked her another. He couldn't see her face, which may have been a good thing because she was ruing starting this game at this point. But it wasn't worth a pass.

"A lot more than I'd like to admit. They've become my secret passion, because I don't like people knowing I like video games. Would tarnish my rep and all that jazz."

She opened the curtains a bit, then the doors to let in a breeze. Kate would then turn on a heel and walk to where he was. To stand over him with her hands on her hips.

"Do you play any sports?"

[Adrian]

With that answer came a bemused smirk. So Kate loved to play video games, but didn't want anybody to know? That was cute. Adrian shook his head, trying not to laugh at her. Not because she liked video games so much, no, that was perfectly understandable. Because she didn't want anyone to know. Even so, Adrian had no room to talk. He had his own secrets that he didn't like people to know about, and after asking his question, began to seriously worry about what would happen if she pressed him for any of his.

She opened the curtains somewhat, letting in that cool San Francisco air. He smiled as the wind cooled him off somewhat, and as Kate came up to him, asking another question, he sat up to give her a spot on the couch, if she so desired. He even pat the seat next to her in case she didn't take his sitting up as enough of a hint.

"I played a smattering of them in prior years, but my favorite was football. American football," he clarified, unsure if Kate was one of the types that thought 'soccer' first at the mention of the sport's ambiguous name. "In fact," Adrian said, more than a little proud of this fact, "the Varsity Captain just recently named me Captain and quarterback of our football team this season." He grinned, his chest swelling a bit with self-pride.

"Are you satisfied with the way your life has turned out, as a whole?"

If she sat down, Adrian would wrap his arm around her and hug her close as he asked the question. He knew it would be a little harder to answer, and had no qualms holding her safely if it would make her feel better answering it.

[Kate]

She smirked just slightly as he talked about football. American football of course, because they weren't in another country. She smiled and sat down next to him. His arms were around her in a second, and Kate leaned into his grasp with a smile. Nuzzling her face in the crook of his neck.

"Hmmmm. I really don't know the answer to that. My life, up to a point was pretty good. Then it got entirely too shitty. It's taking a much better turn now though. I rather like certain... moments."

And that was her answer. No yes or nos about it. Just saying it like it was. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the warmth of his skin. She pressed her lips to him, tickling his neck slowly.

"What do you do for fun?"

[Adrian]

Adrian closed his eyes and smiled at the feeling of her lips against his skin. Her answer to his question was more than satisfactory; he had only been looking for an opinion, nothing more. When she asked her own question, Adrian had to pause a moment, letting her kiss his neck lightly, enjoying the feel of it, and the way he felt because of it.

Finally, he'd answer.

"Does spending time with you count? Otherwise, I work out a lot. I'm kind of a gym-a-holic. Otherwise, I like to watch TV, play a few video games here and there, usual guy stuff. Nothing too spectacular, I'm afraid."

When Kate finished kissing his neck, Adrian wouldn't be able to resist any more. He would tilt the girl's head up somewhat, kissing her lips once again. He had completely forgotten about the slave routine by this point, and how he wasn't supposed to touch her without permission. His desire to feel his lips against hers was simply too great, and the question would have to wait. Right now, Adrian wanted to make out with Kate until both their lips fell off.

[Kate]

She snickered just slightly at his comment. Spending time with her? He was really trying to work those words of his. Trying to weasel his way in, and Kate was alright with that. He could just keep on trying. And maybe he'd win sooner or later. The pale woman was a little shocked when he suddenly began to kiss her, for what seemed the millionth time that night.

She wasn't about to argue. Kate sunk back into the couch and kissed Adrian right back. Those emerald eyes fluttered closed, and one hand went through his hair... again. It seemed that every time their lips met, one of her hands (if not both) found their way into his hair. She just liked to get a good grip on things while they kissed apparently.

After a decent amount of time passed, Kate pulled back and smiled at him mere inches away from his face. There was a low chuckle in her throat.

"Keep this up and you'll bruise my lips before we even get to the party."

[Adrian]

A good bit of time passed of the two just making out. Finally, Kate pulled back, laughing and commenting about it to Adrian. Adrian just shook his head, grinning as if he were in on some sort of secret joke.

"Oh Kate, a tough girl like you couldn't possibly bruise that easily. And besides, you know you like it," he laughed, kissing her one more time before letting her up... for now at least. He sat back up on the couch, stretching out his arms up above his head and letting out a little yawn. Of course, this begged the question: if they weren't going to make out until the party started, then what should they do?

Adrian looked aroudn the room, seeing if anything caught his interest. His eyes, of course, always wandered back to the beauty sitting next to him. As they did, he smiled at her, another genuine, full-toothed smile, one that seemed to radiate personality and excitement about their predicament.

"So, mistress, I think I acted out of turn there a bit," he said, his smile coiling tighter into a wry smirk, "You're not going to punish me for my insubordination, are you?"

[Kate]

Kate grinned at him. Was he asking for punishment? Really, was he asking for it? Kate grinned... there were so many things she could do to him, to make his life just fucking hell.

"Glutton for punishment Adrian? I could really make your life such a living hell darling."

The pale woman wondered what she could do now? She twisted around so she was leaning on him, brushing her lips along his neck. Slender fingers brushing locks of his hair back so her lips had access to his ear, which she knew to be a tender spot.

"Don't move. At all."

She kissed his ear, kissed his neck, ran fingers along his chest... and all with a sweet smile. She continued to tease and taunt him, whispering naughty things in his ear as she did so. All to tease him, to see if his will would break or not.

[Adrian]

Adrian's problem was that he was competitive to a fault. He absolutely could not resist a challenge. It was what caused him to get into fights with people way too strong for him to even stand a chance against, make bets he's sure to lose, and beg for punishment. He couldn't resist the thrill of just maybe being able to rise above the odds and come out the victor. And this is the reason why he was practically begging Kate to make him say 'uncle', just so he could show her that he wouldn't.

She told him not to move, which caused a shudder to course through his body, but he repressed it as best he could. She knew his weak spot, and was working all up on it. Kissing and touching him gingerly, very much making it very difficult for him to keep his composure. So far, so good, however, and Adrian closed his eyes and held himself as tightly together as he could, not letting the girl's sensual touch drive him over the edge. He was holding on, and obeying the rules, but he didn't know just how much of this he could take. Kate's touch just felt so damn good....
