Sara walked slowly around the first floor of the large shopping center. It was one of those ones in a building so there were like... a jillion floors. She skirted around the large groups people, avoiding them like the plague. They made her uncomfortable. Being around this many people sucked. People made Sara uncomfortable. But she liked to shop. A lot. And she had chosen today, early afternoon, when there wouldn't be nearly as many people as normal. She needed to get up to the higher floors. Here was just jewelery and stuff. She didn't need that. She wanted to get to the lingerie and jeans. And then maybe to the shirts...
Sooo... She needed the elevators. She made her way to them. They were in the back of the mall, three of them along one wall. She made her way to them and pushed the button, and stood back to wait for the elevator. Within a few seconds the door opened and she stepped inside, looking at the row of buttons, and pressed the one for the top floor.

Kate loved to shop. Loved, loved, loved to shop. She was a rich girl after all, and she loved to spend her money. The blonde didn't even notice who had gotten into the elevator with her, instead she was just relaxed. Kate was wearing her normal sort of clothing, jeans and a button up white silk shirt. White rimmed sunglasses on the top of her head, lips perfectly glossed. Kate's appearance was always perfect, she just didn't leave her house any other way.
Those emerald green eyes landed on Sara and realized who she was when the elevator began to shake. The entire thing shuddered and Kate braced herself on the railing. Those emerald eyes were startled as the elevator came to a sudden, screeching stop.
This was not good. Not in the least bit.

Sara hurried into the elevator, eager to be out of the crowded floor. There was someone in there, but it barely registered with her who it was as she pressed the button. She was eager to get started, and get her mind off her problems by shopping them away. She had blown so much money since Travis had left, and she was planning on keeping it up. The light blue jeans she wore now were new, bought only yesterday. As was the red t-shirt she wore. Her hair was tied back in a simple ponytail and her hair brushed along her back as she titled her head up to watch the little light tell her what floor they were on.
And then elevator shook. Sara threw her arms to the sides in an attempt to keep her feet, her legs bent, right foot slightly in front of the other. The elevator came to a stop. Shit...
"Hey, are you alright?" Sara slowly stood back up straight, turning around to see if the other person had been hurt. Her eyes fell on their face, and her face hardened. "Oh shit! Common?!" She backed away from her, to the other corner of the elevator, crouched defensively. The last time she had seen this girl, she had started a fight for no reason with her on the roof. Of course Sara was going to be a little freaked seeing her again.

Kate clung to the railing as the elevator shook. The blonde stared straight at Sara, lifting one eyebrow as she did so. The girl sighed and sat down on the floor. Criss cross applesauce just like in kiddy garden. A sigh escaped those full lips, and emerald eyes stared at the other girl.
"Listen girlie, I'm not going to pound your face in after the manicure I just got."
Kate waved her fingers, indicating she had just gotten them done. The pale girl relaxed backward and smiled at her, humor dancing in her eyes. This was the last person in the world, right next to Damien Kross, that she would have picked being stuck in an elevator. The first? The first person she would have chosen would be a Mr.Adrian Hanlon. Oh, that would be a fun ride in a stuck elevator with him. She sat there, just staring at the other girl.

Sara continued to keep herself tensed and prepared as the blonde dropped down to the floor. Sara didn't like her. At all. It was that simple. The girl had not beaten the shit out of her for no reason on two occasions. Sara was beginning to understand how some of her own little friends were feeling.
"Listen girlie, I'm not going to pound your face in after the manicure I just got."
Sara continued to brace herself for a few seconds until she was sure the girl was keeping her ass on the floor, and then turned away, tugging at the elevator door. Shit... how long were they going to be stuck in here? There was no way this could go well. Why did her life have to suck so much right now? After all the shit that had happened, like Travis leaving her, did she have to get stuck in an elevator with someone she considered to be the snottiest girl in school?
After a few tugs on the elevator door, it was apparent it was stuck tight. They weren't getting out of here that way. Sara felt the bubble of fear rising in her. "Shit... Shit shit shit... Oh fuck man... What the hell are we supposed to do now?!" Her head turned towards the blonde, as though the question was directed at her. Okay, so she was freaking out a little. Sue her.

To be honest, Kate wasn't happy about the situation either. However, she wasn't going to let it show in front of this girl. Things like this could be considered weaknesses. In fact, in the future, this might be just the thing to use against the girl later on down the road. Kate's smirk got a little wicked. All these little facts could help.
"We'll sit here and wait for someone to get us out, of course. That is what we're supposed to do of course."
Kate's teeth flashed in a fake smile. She sat down in the corner she was, and sighed again. She pulled off her jacket and began to relax. It would probably be awhile before anyone noticed... unless...
"Since you're up, why don't you hit the red alarm button? That will let them know something is wrong in the first place."
She was already up after all.

Sara glared down at the blonde sitting in the corner. God, Sara hated this bitch. She was so friggin' demanding. Sara was tempted to sit down in her own bloody corner and let the little princess push the bloody button herself. But she knew it was probably a better idea to just do it. Sara wanted out of this damn elevator bad enough.
So with a final glare she turned to the panel and pressed the emergency button. Nothing happened. Sara pressed it again and again, and still nothing happened. She let her hand fall away, taking a deep breath. She needed to calm down and not make a fool of herself. She looked at the blonde and gave a small shrug. "I guess were not getting out of here for a while..." She tried to hide the fear from her voice.
She dropped into the corner across from the other girl. She guessed she should stop thinking about her as the other girl and get her name. "Look... We don't know how long we're going to be stuck here, so let's try to be civil eh? I don't want any trouble." She had to look away at that, remembering her loss to this girl. "I'm Sara..."

Kate wasn't a princess, Kate wasn't even a queen. The blonde was a goddess and she knew it. At least, that's how she viewed certain situations. Kate had an ego about stuff like her body, the way she looked. The pale girl just smiled at Sara.
"My name is Mara."
Considering the girl had never heard her name before, she wouldn't know any better. Kate had told a few people her fake name, now including Sara. Also that stupid Bastille or whatever, and that kid Gabe. Three people knew her as Mara, while the rest of the world knew her as Kate. The blonde flashed her a smile that was as sweet as sugar.
"I'm sure someone will get us out shortly Sara. Don't worry to much."
Even now Kate was working hard on getting them out. She had her phone in hand and was sending text messages to her boys. The big guys were likely to get them out before anyone else did.

Mara? What a stupid name... A stupid name for a stupid blonde... ~Wow, Sara was a little hater today wasn't she?~ Sara was definitely not happy about this. She didn't trust this girl. At all. She really didn't doubt it was a fake name or something. Seemed like something the little snake would do. Oh jeez... Sara was glad Mara couldn't read her mind.
Sara really wasn't very happy about being trapped in here with the girl. This was not going to end well. She couldn't even say what exactly it was that she didn't like about Mara, it was simply that the other girl had caused to much trouble, started to much shit for no reason. Sara didn't hate her... She just didn't trust her... At all...
"I'm sure someone will get us out shortly Sara. Don't worry to much."
Sara sighed, and hugged her knees to her chest, her forehead dropping onto them, an audible groan coming from her. This sucked. What else could go wrong? She lifted her head slightly to watch the other girl. Well... If she was going to be stuck in here with her, she might as well try to make nice right...?
"I uh... like your nails..." BAH D< Sara hated being nice. But it wasn't a lie. Her words were spoken tentatively. Sara really did like her nails. But she wasn't the type of girl to go and get her own done.

The girl hugged her knees and groaned, making Kate almost smile. She swallowed the sudden smirk and instead sighed to let the pressure to laugh out. The blonde smiled at her when Sara complimented her, of course. Kate was a vain person, and loved the shape her body was in. She bought expensive clothing, got her hair and nails done, the works, all the time with her extensive amounts of money. Money made the world go round after all.
"Thank you. I got them done at the salon a few stores back."
The expensive in the mall salon. Nothing was ever cheap in the mall, not even the crappy food at the food court. They robbed poor people here, Kate was convinced. Well, she was more than convinced. Because once upon a time Kate hadn't had all that much as far as cash had been. Back before her father had died and she had gotten everything. The blonde didn't have to worry about any of that now though.

Sara had to close her eyes and bite her tongue. God she hated girls like this. The ones who thought they were so ~great~, had to wear the best clothes, the best jewelery, always look perfect, and stuff like that. Sara couldn't understand their fixation with it all. Hell, Sara's jeans were from like Walmart or something. She was happy with that. They had nice stuff. It was only going to get ruined someday anyways, then you would need to buy another pair. Sara could by 3 years worth of jeans for what this girl probably paid for her purse. And it wasn't that money was an issue, because Sara had money. Plenty of it. That didn't mean she needed to spend it.
"Oh... I know the one. Looks like a good place. So um..." Shit shit shit... She didn't know what to say. Or do. Shit... "Did... I do something to offend you or something..? Like, I just can't really think of why you would hate me so much... Like, i know we fought and all, but i fight with a lot of people and don't become like.. mortal enemies with them..." She was rushing her words, trying to get them all out in an attempt to not offend the girl. Sara just wanted to understand a little better, maybe make it so she didn't have to watch her back from now on.

Oh, the girl wanted to know why Kate hated her. Ha. The blonde didn't hate the other female at all. Slightly annoyed about everything, but over all Kate didn't hate her. The pale girl chuckled under her breath and shook her head just slightly.
"The first time around it was because you scuffed my dead mother's bracelet. The second was just for fun. I have this bad habit of loving to fight."
Not exactly typical for somebody like Kate, at least looks wise. In fact she looked like the sort of person who would cry and wail if she broke a nail. Something like that. No, Kate was not typical in the least bit. She loved to fight, like it was in her blood or something. She was Scottish after all. Maybe it really was in her blood.

So... They had something in common then. Not that Sara would ever admit it. And it was nice to know that she wasn't hated. The last thing Sara wanted was to be hated. She just wanted a good fight. Most gave her one, and they became friends after. Others hated her for her rash and violent actions, and she made enemies. Lots. But Sara would never admit they had something in common, thus putting them on the same level in some area.
"I hadn't realized I had done anything to the bracelet... Probably because I was a little distracted by the fact that you were starting a fight?" Her voice was hard, clipped. She hadn't appreciated what the girl had done that day, but if it was some sort of bracelet... Maybe Sara would have fought as well. Maybe. Doesn't mean she agreed with the girl starting a fight in the middle of the girls locker room. On top of that, Sara was still hurting from her lose on the roof.
Sara was simply making small talk, trying to pass the time until they got the hell out of this elevator. As long as Sara was distracted, she wasn't feeling claustrophobic. But the fact remained, being stuck in an elevator with this girl was stressful enough as it was. But hell, at least she had a Qi now right? Sara sighed. If the girl wanted to continue to talk, she would have to be the one to speak next. She had made an attempt at conversation. Now it was her turn.

Kate could tell by her voice that she didn't give two shits. Never mind the fact that the blonde's bracelet was from her dead mother, but the blonde hadn't told the other girl anything about that at all. The pale female shook her head just slightly.
"You would too, I think if your mother was dead."
Both of them, and her father. Almost all of her family and all that jazz. The pale girl sighed just slightly, and opened her mouth to say something else when the lights began to flicker. The elevator shuddered and she grabbed onto the sides of her corner as it did so.
This was not good, not good at all.
Kate was freaking out on the inside, really bad. Outside she remained calm and cool despite it all. It was an ability the blonde prided in herself. You learned to deal with things when you got the shit beat out of you, or you were raped. Something like this was nothing compared to those things.

"You would too, I think if your mother was dead."
Sara's head snapped up to look at the girl, her face an expression of shock. Well... She hadn't been expected that response... Sara blushed and looked away, looking at anything but the girl sitting across from her. Suddenly, the elevator shook, the lights flickering. Sara let out a small whimper and pushed herself into the corner. She wanted out of this. Soon. She was freaking out. It wasn't that she was afraid of elevators, but she was sure everyone had an inner fear of plummeting to their death in one. Especially when said elevator was shuddering as though it was going to drop at any second.
The elevator flickered into darkness, and the shuddering stopped. Sara remained motionless in the corner, the silent dark somehow more frightening then the shuddering. Oh god... They were going to drop to their death, die in complete darkness... She was going to die with someone she didn't like... Sara whimpered again, her muscles locked as she pushed into the corner. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. Mara didn't need to see her freaking out.
"I... I'm sorry about your mom... And the bracelet..." OK, so her voice was cracking like she was going to cry, but at least she was making an attempt to make sure she wouldn't die with an enemy.
