Blam.
Leanne's peripheral vision noted the two arms that were outstretched trapping her with her back against the wall while she was forced staring into the grey eyes of some random guy. She was trapped like a mouse in the paws of a cat, or something like that, but she was anything but helpless. At least that was how she looked with her arms crossed infront of her. Her own ice cold eyes and usual distasteful disposition glared with disgust back at the guy.
It was like a blast from the past, the last time this happened she was being blackmailed, and she ended up having to develop a motherly figure if that was what some people would view it. However this time this guy had no leverage and he merely was interested in Leanne's appearance.
How shallow.
Sure there was the physical attraction first, or so they say, however to simply be so aggressive and forceful to have a girl go out with them? It was not what Leanne would respect. Guys like this were not even worth a second thought. Out! Gone! Next!
"Hey, don't be like that, you'll have fun with me."
Leanne glanced away focusing on the spot where the sun created a small spotlight on the floor as she merely remained unresponsive to the male. She heard the guy sigh, at least he wasn't some kind of woman beater as Leanne had enough of violence for a good few years. However, Leanne felt the guy place a hand on her right cheek and brush away her hair as he reached in to steal a kiss until he noticed the scar on Leanne's face.He removed himself from her promptly and Leanne paid no heed to the boy as she stepped away uncrossing her arms.
"Tch. No one would want damaged products like you."
Leanne ignored him but caught sight of tall slender male that seemed to have seen most of what happened.
"Hope you didn't feel let down, not being able to be a hero and all." Leanne would say to the guy with the emerald green eyes in a sarcastic tone.

Gabriel himself was damaged goods, a piece of him had been taken in the sake of freedom and hope. In a sick way he was a hero but in the same instant he was the villain. He felt the sick thrill of the thought of forcing the incompetent man from his position and then beating him within an inch of his life. He could feel the anguish take over within his stomach urging him to take what he wanted, and what he needed.
"Hope you didn't feel let down, not being able to be a hero and all."
Gabriel let himself stroll over as the aggressor male backed off, his little spill sounded like it could hurt feelings and destroy a person no matter their relation. Now Gabriel was a few short feet away from her now. not quite the alarmingly close quarters she'd been in with the male before.
"On the contrary," Gabriel said in his french accent, "I still hope I can be of some heroic work here or there," He gave a weak smile noting his imperfect situation.
Gabriel was normally all about his own persona, a man with dignity and grace but since loosing his arm he felt as though a weight dragged him down or even still a spotlight shown on his impurity. He covered the weakness accordingly, surgery had graced him with a steel replacement, and he clothed it in a black leather glove giving the phantom limb more believability.
"Not a friend I'd assume?" Gabriel noted at the retreating jerk.

Leanne was surprised with the familiar French accent that warmed the English language. She herself could not rid herself of her mother tongue's blessings and it seemd this fellow shared the knowlege of French. Perhaps he was French or perhaps he was like Nicolas who was able to speak the language. Either way, it didn't seem like the guy was at all threatend or turned off by her snide remark. Instead he said he hoped to be able to pick up the pieces noting his own imperfect situation. Leanne, was an observant one, and much like the man infront of her wary of her own dignity and held an air of elegance and grace. It would seem that they shared more than one similiarity.
Although she was observant Leanne had noted the gloved hand but she wasn't exactly courageous enough to make assumptions as her thoughts ran wild. Okay, maybe that was a lie. However, she didn't want to judge or jump to conclusion so early. After all pity was worse than insults in her perspective.
"Not a friend I'd assume?"
"Don't even know him." Leanne said with a small shake of her head while her speech was laced with the French accent as well.
Her cold exterior retreated a little and she became little more friendly perhaps it was just cause she felt this guy was amusing enough to share a few words with.
"And, do you happen to be French? Or just able to speak the language?"

"And, do you happen to be French? Or just able to speak the language?"
his brow cocked up noting the dialect similarity between the pair. A slight smirk was shared as well, very few around here were of his own ethnicity, in fact the few who even shared similar forefathers seemed to mack them.
"Oui, I was born an raised there." He said with a faint grin, "And you? which region do you hail from ma belle?"
He said with what elegance and charm he had left in him, just like any country he was sure it was much easier to charm American girls with his accent rather than one of his own background with the same strategy, however he would stick true to his youthful training, a gentleman, a Lord. For Gabriel Seran was a Duke of Lyon in years passed.

The first other French person she had met in all her years in high school. Was it a miracle or was it just simply her not meeting the right people. Moral Crest had just became a brighter place, as Leanne was able to speak with at least two people comfortably in her mother tongue which brings a sense of comfort and security. Leanne was automatically intrigued by the young man and no longer held a sense of wary and cautionary gaze in her eyes. Her lips curved into a small smile before she engaged deeper into conversation with the young man in front of her.
"Mon dieu, moi aussi! Je suis née en France à Cassel." Leanne noted.
She had been born and raised in the small town of Cassel. Although Leanne may look like a fairytale princess with the enchanting look in her eyes and the way she carries herself when she walks and speaks, she was had actually grew up on a farm. Of course, until she was sold to Tremblay and switched around to wealthy families serving as their maid.
"I'm Leanne Deveraux, pleasure to meet your acquaintance." Leanne would say with a small bow out of habit and courtesy.

"I'm Leanne Deveraux, pleasure to meet your acquaintance."
Gabriel bowed as well out of courtesy grasping her hand with his free one, it just so happened to be the right one, the glove. It was simply a practiced movement so it flowed gracefully as he kissed the arch of her palms before relinquishing the princess look alike. Deveraux it sounded familiar though those of his court had many a name, perhaps by some coincidence of the past they had met, perhaps fate drove them back together now. Or maybe it was just another coincidence.
"Non, ma belle the pleasure is all mine" He turned upright once more feeling a bit of calm now
the tension was soon replaced with curiosity as his glinting eyes surveyed her in a quick movement fast enough so they didn't loose their lock on her eyes. Cold as she appeared he got a strange thrill off of it and the short glint of warmth she directed towards him, it felt good to be of some importance.
"So Leanne Deveraux, would you be interested in joining me to a meal?" He said in all politeness secretly wanting to get any chance at getting closer to her.

Was it just Leanne or were males at this school extremely traditional and polite. She had met two males so far in the school, well two males that she actually bothered to talk to and both of them had kissed the back of her hand showing utmost gentleman personas. It was a nice change from the punch and introduce or flirt and introduce methods back at 552. Then again Leanne was never the type to pay any attention to people that she found to be 'unworthy'. She was just harsh on her morals and well, just cold.
"So Leanne Deveraux, would you be interested in joining me to a meal?"
The light played created a bright glint off of Leanne's glassy blue eyes before they crinkled into the usual blank enchanted look. Perhaps it was just a nice way of putting it, or some may call the enchanted look- distant.
"I wouldn't see why not but, after I get your name." Leanne would say with a small polite smile in a contemporary fashion.

He smiled charmingly as he released his hold on her palm. He hadn't realized he didn't give it. It was a genuine mistake, feeling a bit rude now he felt the need to make up for it.
"oh excuse-moi, I am Gabriel Seran" he said with the utmost respect for the family name.
In truth, his name was all he could respect they were from a long line of nobles that ruled France through many years of descent. The bloodlines trickled down to his family, till of course they all died off beside him, now holding the title of Duke of Lyon. Though he could not stay in Lyon long during his short visit there. There were pressing matters in Italy and he still owed Unfettered a favor thus spelling his return to PHS 259 soon to move here at Moral Crest #42.
"Now I didn't have anything truly in mind but perhaps you have a favorite?" he said with the suggestion that he could eat just about anywhere.

Gabriel Seran.
Unfortunately Leanne was not too well versed with her country's own history nor was she aware that Gabriel had royal blood in him. The fact that he was of noble blood was rare and it was absolutely facisnating to be in a noble's presence although if Leanne had known she would find him to be no different even with his title. Leanne was not all too awed at titles, she was more of the type to appreciate what is done with the titles.
"Pleasure to be your acquaintance. As for what to eat, how about the Cheesecake Factory?" Leanne suggested.
She had always loved sweets and craved the giant slices of Oreo cheesecake that was served at the restaurant. Besides their food was not that expensive yet still tasted great. Then again she wasn't exactly too hungry so anything was fine.

Gabriel smirked he did truly enjoy a woman who dabbled in the sweetness of life rather than live behind a shadow of fear. he could see enjoying his time with her.
"Sounds good to me," he said with a quick wink.
Turning about he had expected her to follow and shortly join at his side. It was only a short way down the hill from the school he hadn't even needed to drive this time around. Once she'd caught up with his long stride he'd rejoin the conversation they'd started up before with a flirtatious disposition.
"So I haven't seen you around here before , may I ask what brings you?" he tilted his head aside to direct the attention towards Leanne curiously.

Leanne was starting feel that the guy was starting get flirtatious. Not that it bothered her but it was just that she would most likely not be playful back towards him. Sometimes she just might humour the boys since flirting to most of them was just playful fun. However, Leanne was more of the girl that had cheeky responses back to cheesy lines. She was more of the talker rather than the one who took action which reflected in her school position as well. Never the one to fight, but the puppeteer or spokesperson behind it.
Joining beside him Leanne let Gabriel take a slight lead as he'd show her the way to after all she still wasn't all too sure where everything was in the town. It was a big city!
"So I haven't seen you around here before , may I ask what brings you?"
"I'm a transfer from 552, I suppose I was trying to get away from all the drama and violence there and start fresh, but I don't think this school is any better in the...violence area." Leanne admitted.

Gabriel nodded respectfully, his distrust of those from 552 had faded since he himself became a transfer. It didn't really matter where they all came from, each person was a little bit different and a lot of the same.
"Yea, you kind of stepped right into a little bit a war," He started loosely as if it were a discussion for small talk, "And unfortunately for you I'm right in the middle of it." Gabriel said with an edge of joking to it.
She wouldn't necessarily know who he was or his contribution to the madness ensuing about but he wasn't going to sugar coat it for her, the school was chaotic and a mess his goal was simply to fix the imperfections do what must be done to solve it all in the end.

It was as if she had just stepped into a school that was undergoing a revolutionary period and riots, revolts and all that were just reaching the climax or the uprising action. Leanne was surprised to hear the Gabriel was part of the violence that was taking part in the school. Not that she was surprised to know that he fought, but the idea that he was fighting for something; fighting with purpose and with plan. Leanne would only wish him the best as she knew the pressure and hardships that came along implementing change, especially when a whole school may be against them.
"A war? Would you mind telling me what's going on and what you are trying to do?" Leanne asked curiously, "I'm not going to get involved but, I would like to know, if you don't mind."
She wanted to know for her own enlightenment. Perhaps she could lend him a hand in some way or think of a plan that may work. Besides staying in the dark and being naive was not her plan for a fresh start. Leanne didn't want to get too involved after all.

"A war? Would you mind telling me what's going on and what you are trying to do?" Leanne asked curiously, "I'm not going to get involved but, I would like to know, if you don't mind."
Gabriel gave her a short look and then a sigh, did he want her involved? They'd only known each other for a few moments what closeness could he possibly feel? It was the imminent guilt that would sting if he'd be the cause of her demise. He came upon the cheesecake factory and held open the door gently for her to pass through as a gentleman should. This was a topic to be held over a meal.
Seated at a row of tables in the finely lit room Gabriel addressed her respectfully from across the table. "This war is like most wars, its a dispute of power." He shook his head solemnly, "Though that is the way most see it, I along with those who follow see it as a war of equality."
Gabriel paused to allow for the waiters to gain a larger distance from the table, "As you may have heard this school's pillar system is very powerful, they've been known to be very brutal as well. The Hierarchy commands a small army of students to run amok and do their bidding, while the students oppressed suffer."
Gabriel gave a mourning look and exhaled with a sigh, "What I'm trying to do is form a force of people large enough to outnumber the hierarchy and force them into accepting a democracy, rather than a rule by brutal strength..."

Soon enough they arrived at their destination and Leanne entered and quietly thanked Gabriel as he held open the door for her. She slipped into the establishment alongside with him as they were invited towards a table for two. The typical atmosphere of the restaurant lingered and Leanne couldn't help but feel curious as to what the war in 42 was like. She wondered how different or how similar different schools behave.
"This war is like most wars, its a dispute of power."
True that. But who held the power? Who wanted the power? What kind of groups are formed already? Are the ones in power being responsible and using their power in abusive ways? What kind of things did they do? Many questions cluttered Leanne's train of thought, but she continued to listen.
"Though that is the way most see it, I along with those who follow see it as a war of equality."
Communism? Leanne's first thought of equality was communism, oddly it wasn't democracy.
"As you may have heard this school's pillar system is very powerful, they've been known to be very brutal as well. The Hierarchy commands a small army of students to run amok and do their bidding, while the students oppressed suffer."
Leanne couldn't help but be reminded of what she had done. It was after all quite similiar and basically almost a mirrored version of what Gabriel had described. Was this what other people thought of her idea? Then again Leanne herself knew it was brutal, yet this oppression, was it for other causes? Yet, the look on Gabriel's face looked agonized enough to make Leanne wonder what kind of things the pillars and students have done.
"What I'm trying to do is form a force of people large enough to outnumber the hierarchy and force them into accepting a democracy, rather than a rule by brutal strength..."
"I see. So the pillars and those army of students, they aren't doing anything for the school then? Just abusing their power and you just want to take that power for the students and have everyone to decide what happens in the school?"
