@ Luna: I don't feel it is quite appropriate we should limit their stats they surely earned, it's simple politics that is going on now, just like Communism haven't we learned that doesn't work?

Ryuu: I agree completely RP is s'posed to be based off of your character and how well you RP them, a great rper told me that a person with limited stats could beat a person bulked in stats simply due to their superiority of will and skill of their words and I hold true to that method.

Masaru: If you're stats are indeed nerfed down I will give you my items to compensate, you did deserve the stuff you were given you certainly worked the hardest in the whole of the quest and was by far the best showing I've seen I don't need the stats I'll work for mine...

@robbie: agreed it's simply giving those what they want and not what people truly have earned through their own free will and time, whats to say we don't challenge the other high scoring people on the board? hmm? did they earn those yes they did. Wasn't the purpose of the stat cap system s'posed to level out the points earned it certainly was.

@ Justin: yes that was the whole purpose of this fine establishment to escape tyranny from Leon not repay the efforts he had done. He wanted everyone else nerfed besides him who's to say we can trust those who are saying that our characters are now nerfed for that same purpose? No one can all we can assume is you've got or best interests in mind.

I think my problem lay not with the actual amount said players are getting, but in the sheer force in which it was laid upon. I am not necessarily in disagreement with WHAT they are getting, but instead HOW. If I took this in RP terms, completing this quest would be akin to receiving what the Spartan-II's did in the Halo series.

It killed people. Slowly.

It might be too late now, but would there have been any possible way to SLOWLY add on the points over a certain amount of time?

In normal RP, that's how it goes, and it goes rather well. You gets a stat point per fight, and that's fine and dandy. The world goes round, and the baby stays quiet. But since this quest took place over a year, shouldn't character grow WITH the story, and not AFTER it?

It takes more work, and might not be practical, but hey, crazy is my middle name.

The people in the quest did work hard, and those rewards should've been handed out over time in their respective threads, yes. But that didn't happen. The quest was a yearlong thing, and I agree they should've been given the stats slowly over time.

However, they didn't, for whatever reason.

masaru's point about giving a child a toy that he worked hard for and then taking it from him when the other kids are jealous is spot on.

Agreed on that point. I'm STILL a little iffy about the items and some of the things they are getting. Namely some of the items, but I'm sure that will be worked out.

They deserve the exp, no doubt, especially after getting a couple stories that sounded roughly the same.

everything that could be said has been.....sorry if i come off as a bitch but noobs, suck it up and sign on for hours every night like we did for a full year and then get locked up inside two or three limited threads for the remainder of a year and a half and then you can come talk to us about fairness and patience.

Well, I kinda think Bastille's comment was a step backward, if anything....

Personally I feel like SOME sort of action needs to be taken to officially address this, as holding shit in limbo for too long is much the same as getting rid of it anyway. Set the poll, Mikaroonie.

My opinion in Summary:

Rewards - undecided on whether to nerf or not (lack of experience with stats, I won't have a good opinion

Rewards should be given and claimed all at once. Explained below.

I'm going with... something must be done... I don't know how much stats influence characters and so cannot really say if it's better to nerf the rewards of the quest or to leave them as is.

After a little consideration, though Thirteen's idea of gradual rewards made sense at first, I have decided that I believe that rewards should be given and claimed all at once.

Of course, any current fights and threads shouldn't have the rewards applied (this is why multi-threads confused me) but as was said earlier, the CF thread took a friggen long time and those who had to wait for its conclusion (the Seven) to RP freely have waited long enough to get full benefit of their efforts.
