I had a really crappy day, and I need to get it out. I tried to post and reply as fast as I normally do, but there was a huge delay. My part time job and part time boss are to blame for that. The following rant is all the crap I am dealing with there. Just need to let my anger out.
Ok, so for those that don't know, in the "real world," I am a professional magician. I work part time at a magic shop. That part time job is, currently, driving me insane. My boss, who shall remain nameless, has done multiple things that have been building, and now I am at the point where I am fed up. They are as follows:
* Cut my pay per show I do for him at the shop (He hosts birthday parties, and without telling me, cut how much I get per show).
* Months ago told me to sit down about a promotion. Never held a meeting with me, and gave the position to someone else, and I only found out about it about three weeks ago.
* Is adding more work (specifically things that are the responsibility of another employee, as well as wanting to utilize talent FOR FREE) without any farther compensation.
* Payroll has not been on time for weeks. Apparently the employees needing to do things like, oh I don't know, pay BILLS aren't important enough to have the checks delivered to us on time.
* Has cut hours to the point there are times where it is debatable whether or not it is worth it to come in (i.e. the amount spent in gas costs more than it would be to come into work)
There are many, many other more minor things, but the above are the more major ones. Now, I am a patient, understanding individual. However, I do not like being taken advantage of. The things that are happening, I fell that is exactly what is going on, and it is pissing me off.
Well, for all that may reads this, thank you for your time. I normally don't complain (as those who know me can attest to), and am more likely to lend my ear to someone who wishes to vent. However, there are times (look how I cleverly worked in the title here) where I need to rant.
After writing this, I actually feel a bit better. Now it is just a matter of what to do about it.
