The Jester vs. Kate McHallin
You are both led to the middle of this enormous Colosseum. All around you is dirt.
An announcer speaks.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome to the ring... Damien Kross, The Jester!!!!!" He then gives a slight pause as the crowds cheer. "And the opponent... Kate McHallin!" An equal amount of clapping and cheering can be heard from all around as the two of you are about to begin combat in this dry and dusty arena. You stand on regular dirt... This will truly be a match that decides skill.
"Let the Pillar Cup Tournament begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

If this were Soul Calibur, giant gold letters would flash on the screen declaring loudly "DESTINED BATTLE!" This was indeed meant to be.
I, for once, did not don my usual suit... No, I knew better than to face someone like Kate McHallin in a fucking tuxedo or sport coat. A pair of tough, blue jeans were kept on with a leather belt, my upper body covered by a simple purple T-shirt.
As the audience cheered for me, I gave them several theatrical bows and blown kisses. Ah, my adoring fans... With a smirk on my face, I would turn to my opponent- the lovely Kate McHallin.
'Well well Kate, we both knew this was coming, hm?" I shrugged. "I hope I won't disappoint you... And who knows? You pummel me hard enough, you might just knock me clear out of Damien's body! Wouldn't that be something?!" I exclaimed with glee, spreading my arms open wide.

Well, wasn't this just... cheeky? Interesting? Should-have-seen-it-coming-a-mile-away? Something along those lines. The blonde stood there in the huge place, those emerald eyes locked onto her sort of (see not really) ex-boyfriend-lover-everything rolled into one. Well, she had to admit he was still attractive as hell. Good looking was always something at the top of her list, however... Damien was not to be touched. Excuse me, Jester was not to be touched.
It didn't matter anyway, she loved Adrian Hanlon.
He was talking to her, that didn't matter. Kate just smiled and pulled something out of her pocket. Cotton balls. Swabs of cotton, that she stuffed into her ears while she smiled. She could still decently hear major things, like the crowd cheering. But everything was highly muffled. That of course helped with... whatever Damien's Qi was. Mathew had warned her after all.
She wasn't talking to him, not outside pillar things. Her hands came up and she waved him forward. Letting him make the first move...

Was that- wow, speak of the fucking devil... The Destined Battle music from Soul Calibur? Fucking epic win. I didn't know who I had to thank for the music selection, but damn, nice choice.
Kate stuffed the cotton into her ears, and with a frown, I crossed my arms. As I spoke, I projected my Qi towards her, all sound waves coming from me going straight to her. It was simple talking, but knowing the cotton, I would have to talk quite loudly for her to even hear me at all.
"Oh really Kate? Okay, I'll play along." I assumed my Hapkido stance. "Try to cry when I finish pummeling you. I like it when they cry." I winked to her, licking my lips.
If you hurt her Jester, I swear to God...
Oh what? Are you still all lovey dovey with this bitch? What about you and Miss Ballerino? Aren't you chasing that piece of ass?
Whether or not Kate and I are together, part of my will always love her as more than a friend- that's a tough truth I have to live with.
Boo fucking hoo. Just to spite you, I'll make a real show out of this. I wonder if I can get her to scream for me.
Jester...
OR, I could give these fine people in the audience a REAL show and start a good ol' fasioned gang rape! Good times, good times.
Mark my words... You do anything of the sort to her and you will regret it...
Sticks and stones...

The thing about this relationship that would always be odd... well, there would always be a piece of Damien that loved Kate, and a part of Kate that would always love Damien. Not Jester. A piece of Kate would always hate that bastard. And since Jester was the one in charge, guess which emotion was the one to come out to play?
She just smiled a bit, not completely sure what kind of advantage she now had over him. But it was still there. One thing was for sure however, Kate wouldn't cry. No matter what he did, she wouldn't cry. But she wasn't as weak as she use to be, Jester would find that out first hand.
She moved, not directly toward him, or rather circling around him. She moved to her right, slowly circling. Not exactly moving toward him, but rather around him. Waiting for the jerk to make a move.

Awww, she wasn't going to make the first move... Typical Kate... Bah, fine. I'll bite. My eyes watched her as she circled me, just like the vulture she was. I moved to follow her circle, not leaving any part of me open to any sneak attack.
Finally, I launched my assault- a frentic charge towards her, aiming for a grapple, my right arm shooting out with a slight bend in the elbow, attempting to grab the back of her neck. At the same time, my right foot would rise up, coming to press against her stomach, my ultimate goal being to force her head down forcefully into my knee- an effort to disorient her.
It was a strange move to begin with- hardly one a Hapkido fighter would use, so the element of surprise would be on my side. It was just a matter of if she would see this coming or not.

Well to be honest, Kate didn't study how people fought or anything like that. She was a very simple sort of person when it came to fighting, the blonde just reacted to whatever was thrown at her. This would of course include the moves that Jester were chucking her way. The funny thing was... she expected him to be faster, or stronger or something...
Not matched in the least bit.
Which of course, was now the case. Maybe all that fighting she had done had done her some good! The blonde lifted her left hand lifted when his right came flying, and she held her palm up, slamming it on his fist. Batting it away, for lack of a better word. His knee came up and slammed into her stomach.
That hurt a bit, but her head wasn't slamming into his knee by a long shot. She brought her right in quick and fast, as hard as she could into his ribcage. Trying very hard to break something there. No holding back just because it was Damien's rather attractive damned body. Then She'd try to tangle her right arm with his, and brought up her left knee to smash into his shin like a lift. Hopefully by pulling on his right arm and unbalancing him with her left leg, he'd fall over.
Then she'd go from there. And if not, well, whatever was clever.

What came to pass was something straight out of a bad anime- the classic shot of two knees clashing together epicly. The only difference being that Kate had taken a hold of my arm. As her knee collided with the bottom of mine, barely missing the shin bone itself thanks to a loss of balance on my part, even more of the shift in equilibrium would follow.
Despite my fall, I would retain the hold she had on my arm, intending to bring her down with me... Now, anyone who knew anything about my fighting style knew that I was at my best on the ground... Poor Kate however, because of our past, had never seen me truly fight... I doubted she would know of my skill in grappling.
With both of us on the ground, and with our arms tangled in some horrific looking knot, I would attempt to throw both my legs over her, to each side of our arm tangle, and try to execute an armbar- a classic submission hold intended to hyper-extend her shoulder and elbow, causing a great deal of pain.
The catch with this move however, was the amount of technicality needed to execute it. The conditions seemed good enough to work it, so I went for it.
