Thirteen Silivasi vs. Sam Ballerino
You are both led to the middle of this enormous Colosseum. All around you is dirt.
An announcer speaks.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome to the ring... Sam Ballerino!!!!!" He then gives a slight pause as the crowds cheer. "And the opponent... Thirteen Silivasi!" An equal amount of clapping and cheering can be heard from all around as the two of you are about to begin combat in this dry and dusty arena. You stand on regular dirt... This will truly be a match that decides skill.
"Let the Pillar Cup Tournament begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Sam made her way into the Colosseum, blushing lightly at the applause and waving shyly, offering a smile. She had fans! This was exciting.
She watched her opponent enter the dry dirt arena. She looked... well, blind. What? She laughed nervously. This couldn't be legal, could it? Unless the girl had super sensitive hearing or something... Well, she put her name down for the competition, she could damn well get through it herself.
Taking a breath, she mentally and physically prepared herself for the fight. She could do this. She could. She'd been improving her skills since she came here, courtesy of Damien, and had a little bit more confidence in herself and what she could do.
She'd done some stretches and whatnot before entering the stadium, so she adjusted her stretchy blue jeans one more time, pulling her white tank top back down over them, and spread her Converse-covered feet, centering her body weight and watching her opponent carefully for sudden moves. Her knees were bent, ready for action, and her hands were up near her face.
"You ready?" She called.
It's go time.

Why Thirteen had signed up for this gig was beyond her own comprehension, a part of it might have laid with the fact that she wanted to meet new people, and what better way to meet and mingle than with the activity that made Moral Crest go 'round? No more than a good old fight of course.
Although Thirteen might have wished for a small crowd...perhaps this would be nice for once. She locked her mind into the fight, it would not stray into another time...this would be as clean as possible. Sam Ballerino? Fun times. Nobody she knew, but it was likely that they would know each other very well during and after the match.
She had as per rules, not brought a weapon. Her upper body was short-sleeved UnderArmour, and her her shorts were just that...shorts. Her shoes were nothing special either. All in all, she was ready for a very mobile fight.
"Yep. I'm ready dear."
Thirteen was. She wasn't mocking in any way. Sam was an opponent to be respected...and they would fight just that way.
Game on.((I know you just leveled, but make sure you use the stats BEFORE this thread started... ))

OOC: lol snap, thanks for reminding me. you want i should post stats im using for this fight, then? ^_^
All right. The girl wasn't making an immediate move. That was fine with Sam. The thought made her grin slightly - just a few short months ago Sam wouldn't have known what to do if the other person hadn't made the first move.
Thanks, Damien.
She decided to attempt to take advantage of her opponent's weakness. She slowed her breathing as much as she possibly could, making it very hard to hear. Slowly, she circled around Thirteen, stepping softly and minimizing noise as much as she could. If she made it all the way around to Thirteen's back without being heard, she'd lunge forward, reaching for her wrists from behind and pushing her foot into her back, her aim being to get her on the ground with her arms incapacitated.
But if Thirteen happened to hear her, however, or sense her by other means, Sam would abandon that plan, ducking down and sweeping her leg around to the back of the girl's knees, hoping to knock her over anyway.

((Sure! That would work. I stay at 15 wisdom.))
The girl was quiet, and the crowd was only a little bit of help. Their incessant chatter was background noise for hearing Sam, who would be closer and therefore, much clearer. Only problem was, at this distance, it was impossible to hear almost anything, and therefore, was a useless sense. At least right now. When she got closer, however, something came into view...at least to her. The kinetic energy distributed by Samantha's footsteps.
*Tap...tap...tap*
She really was a featherfoot wasn't she? Sam was trying, but there was always a way to see what her opponents were doing. Feigning ignorance of Sam's actions, Thirteen stayed in her stance, letting Sam in well behind her. And when she attacked? Well, Sam had made it easy by making her moves predictable, Thirteen slipped left and turned, enabling her to dodge either attack...
Her left hand launched at Sam's left side, going for the ribs if possible, keeping her right back for defense. Defense against another counter would be easy, although ANOTHER counter would be pointless. Win-win situation Thirteen...

Merda. The girl hadn’t heard her come up behind until Sam was on her. Either that or she'd let her come close on purpose. Either way, Thirteen moved left, and Sam went down for the leg sweep, but the blind girl dodged that one too. She was still down when Thirteen swung at where her ribcage would have been, so that one missed entirely, and Sam used the opportunity to shoot up, throwing all her weight into a solid punch directly into the girl’s solar plexus. Whether it hit straight on, or she missed and just got to her stomach, that whole area was sensitive enough that Thirteen would probably get the wind knocked out of her for a few seconds, probably more if the punch landed exactly where Sam wanted it to. OOC: These are my stats for this fight: Dexterity: 25 Intelligence: 15 Wisdom: 30 the others are still the same. if anything else changes, i shall be sure to let you know.

Thirteen hit nothing but air...she was beginning to see the way Sam fought. Quick turns and effective counters. Many would think that Thirteen was an ineffective fighter without a weapon, but oh how so wrong those people were. In this case, Sam had given something else up. The weight she was throwing into her next attack was MORE than obvious, kinetic linking didn't lie, it told Aurora where the hit was going to land.
The attack hit.
Her defensive hand. Her attack hand recoiled back to defend.
And sure, it did just a little damage. The momentum still carried through, and she was hit where Sam was probably expecting, but unfortuately, it wouldn't be enough to knock much wind out of her...maybe a small bruise, but that's about it. However, now facing one another, Aurora had an opening.
If Sam was on the ground, and Aurora was short...
Do the math.
Aurora, still with Sam's fist firmly cupped in her palm, now grappled, Aurora launched her foot, aiming anywhere from Sam's low torso to her face. Being that low, and at such a range, it was going to be an exemplary feat to MISS her opponent. On another note, with so much weight put into her last attack, it was unlikely that her other arm would be in a good position to defend. This blow should hurt.
And even if, even if Sam managed to block or counter, there was another way around...

Blocked again. What was with this girl? She probably couldn’t see well enough to tell you the color of the sky, but she was blocking everything thrown at her, at least so far. She had to be sensing some other way, but Sam wasn’t about to sit down and have a think about it, because the girl was now aiming a kick at her.
Sam was still halfway in her crouch, but with her fist still locked into her opponents, and her right hand thrown back, all she had to block with were her legs. She pushed forward with her locked left fist, using her opponent to balance herself as her right leg came up. She pulled her knee into her chest and pushed it sideways, deflecting the kick. She’d wrench her fist out of the young girl’s grasp and back up. Attacking obviously wasn’t working here, so she was going to go for a different approach for the moment – defense. It was more in her comfort zone anyway.
She’d move into a ready stance, feet spread, weight centered, her hands up near her face, but she’d remain as silent as possible, moving only to breathe, and even then, it was slow and controlled, silent even to her own ears.
Let the girl wear herself out, trying to attack what she couldn’t see.

Sorry Sammy.
Negative on that one. She was blocking, and it was certainly a valiant attempt at one. Thirteen wasn't blind. Maybe so visually, but when it came to something like this, touch and sound were her best options, and at a close range such as this one, Sam was as visible as a Ferris wheel in the city fair.
Aurora's first instinct was the smart one. Don't let her out of her position. Sam and Aurora were of roughly equal strength, so when Sam attempted to get her fist free, the following things happened. Simply put...Aurora's mind decided to take advantage of the situation.
Thirteen held on, tugging just a little bit with Sam's pull to offer some balance, and as her kick upward was blocked and pushed out, she recoiled it, circling it around for momentum. As of right now, Sam had two limbs free. Her last leg, used to keep herself upright, and her right hand. However, with the added momentum from this kick, combined with Aurora's natural speed, there would be hardly a way to counter...
Aurora pulled, keeping her free left arm ready against a VERY unlikely counter, and pulling along with her right, raised the same leg she'd used to attack before, the force and velocity amplified by the block and rotation...her knee came up to bash Sam anywhere from the upper torso to the face. Good luck blocking again.
She also was continually checking the links of all of Sam's limbs...just to be sure something wasn't going on with them, or her own body...she wasn't going to miss again...Sam was already off balance to an impossible degree.
-Actions Taken-
Recoiled and amplified momentum, adding attack power and velocity to her grapple/Muay Thai like knee attack. Checked for possible counters. Raised dominant left hand for defense.
Unleashed a knee attack aiming for Sam's upper regions.

Ow. OW. Caro dio dolce, ow. She hadn't expected the girl's leg to come swinging around again for another kick, and didn't react fast enough, so her knee went smashing into Sam's solar plexus. Though the attack wasn't the strongest Sam had ever received, having it slam directly into one of the most sensitive areas of the human body was enough to throw her back and force all the air out of her lungs.
Sam found herself on the ground, completely unable to breathe, but sucked it up for the moment, taking the opportunity to crawl away backwards and standing up when she got her breath back. She'd gotten out of the girl's grasp for now, and she wasn't about to rush back in with another headlong attack, when Thirteen would probably somehow miraculously be able to predict and counter - again. Sam didn't know how the sightless girl was able to so easily tell how she was about to be attacked, but at the moment it didn't matter much. What did matter was that Sam had obviously underestimated this girl.
She stood in a ready, but defensive stance, waiting to see what her opponent would come up with.

She felt bad. Thirteen actually felt bad. Kneeing somebody like that was no doubt against her normal style, but part of fighting was adapting to changing conditions. Thirteen was adapting. Actually, they both were. Sam was doing well, and so was she, this fight wasn't yet over however, and it could be drawing out for sometime. The opposite might happen if Thirteen were to attack, but you know...nothing ventured, nothing gained, and as such, Thirteen went on the offensive.
Of course, Thirteen was assuming she was fighting a sighted person, and she was probably right considering the chances.
In that way, you never charged head on. Thirteen was split-stepping, hopping over and over in alternate, left foot, right foot, left foot. Jumping every so often to decieve her, throw her off balance. Sam might figure out her pattern...but at the last second, that split-step would be a feint, slipping to her slight left, what could be considered her less dominant hand. Thirteen fell into her normal style, throwing a palm strike at Sam's kidney, keeping herself planted solidly, and defensive. The attack wasn't really expected to hit.
But she was expecting a counter...
