Alright guys, I recieved this interesting... for lack of a better word, rant, from a member on the board. After reading it, I thought to myself, wow, that makes sense. After talking to some other mods, it was agreed that it be put up here for the rest of the members to read and give their input on it.
So please, have a read, and lets see what you all think.

Stat Rant
OK, so, I decided to do a little rant about Stats. Jess was getting on my case telling me to make this into some form of a post-able segment and that's what I'm going to do. Now, I realize that I have only RP'ed for a year but here's the deal. I'm really good at Math, really extremely good. It's english I have issues with, so bear with me on my sentence fluency and horrible grammar.
Strength - How much damage you do, physically, how much you can lift. A very good stat to have, especially when you want to grapple someone or punch them really hard. Tis a good stat, but in my minds eye I find it to be incredibly over rated. Just my own personal opinion.
Now something I notice is sometimes characters will have a ton of strength, but not a lot of Con, and here's my first little complaint. When you punch someone, it hurts your fist, a lot. The harder you punch something, the more it hurts. So if you're strength outdoes your Con by like, a crap load. Shouldn't punching anything with that amount of strength do some major damage to your knuckles? Shouldn't kicking hurt the ankle? Shouldn't ramming through a wall with your shoulder cause a bad dislocation?
Dexterity - How fast you move. And sometimes, not on this board, but other boards that do not have Int will sometimes use the term [skill] which I won't use here since technically Int would be the judge of that if you want to get technical. It's your speed whether it's your hand speed, your foot speed, your running speed, how fast you can type, whatever.
Again, dex without Con, wouldn't you just be able to sprint really really fast? But it'd just be sprinting speed since you can't do a strenuous activity without a lot of Con? After all it takes a bit of toughness to run for very long! Which means in a fight, going full speed, you should start sweating it pretty easily without the Con to back it all up. and next up to bat is....
Constitution - In my opinion, I love this stat. It's not everything though. Now yes, it is your toughness. The way I view it is that it's your defense, how long you can do a strenuous activity, basically your last-ability. Keeping in mind that no matter how tough you are, if you are on the losing side of a fight and not dishing out hits to your opponent they will eventually win. And God forbid they put you into a submission move when they over power you, because most of those are easy to do for the user and you can just lay there. Basically, I have no quarrels with how this is being RP'ed.
Intelligence - Basically this, paired with dexterity, is the likely hood of which you will hit. When fighting an opponent, it's important to think that Int vs Wis is the chances that they won't be able to stop, counter, dodge, avoid, or otherwise bring an end to one of your attacks. Dexterity is the support in this, because you need the speed to back up a dodge/counter/whatever. This is also how smart your character is, which means yes.... having 1 Int is the equivalent of riding the short bus.
A lot of people expect their hits to connect when they have crappy Int, get over it. It's the price you pay for pumping all your stats into the physical side of things.
Wisdom - This, paired with Dex, is dodge-ability. Your ability to see things coming, and react to them. So if someone throws a punch, with enough Wisdom you will be able to see an opponents moves rather well. You just need the dexterity to do something about it. People need to realize that when someone has a lot of dexterity, even if your wisdom is higher than their intelligence, they can still hit you.
and lastly....
Charisma - Now, in the description of Charisma for this site it fails to mention something in particular. In fact, it misses quite a few particular's. But when dealing with my Qi I've asked a staff member if this is how it's RP'ed, and their answer was yes. So, this is what I'm going to make clear to everybody Charisma is the stat used for Qi. Yes, you may have your Qi power at Pro level, but how long you can use a Qi and how powerful it is (unless otherwise specified somehow) Is through charisma. That is how it's been on every Qi site that I've been on.
Example: Sara and Travis wind burst thingy, the power of the burst itself would be charisma, while the power of the attack behind it is strength. Sort of a Strength + Charisma hit. Another example would be Matrim's flames. The strength at which the fire burns would be his charisma, because in his Qi the only thing that changes with the level is how much of his body is covered with flames. The flames themselves will continue to rely on his charisma stat.
And yeah, it's also how well you can influence others. Which makes it an OK stat except for the whole having free will thing with PC's. Don't have to like someone because their Charisma is through the roof. I'm sure I've pissed off enough people IC and pumping stats into Charisma probably won't change that fact.
That being said... I think I covered it all....
