Uncertain Hiatus

I'm not sure where I stand on roleplaying right now, and though any choice could happen, I keep finding myself at the same position on every XIN board I've been a part of: stagnation. It happened on Hircine, on Mugen, on new 552, and now it's happening here for me. I couldn't even join old 552 because I smelled the same old sensation was doomed to happen.

In any case, I'm taking a leave from roleplaying here. It could be for good, or just a month until I'm done with school, there's no way to tell yet. But I find that I'm getting extremely distracted from this site, taking time away from the essentials - school work, the novel project, my own home board at Hircine, and my own life - and if there was some value I was gaining from it, I'd be fine. But really, so far I've only made 39 posts that haven't accomplished a great deal. I've been cut back 30 EXP because of a transfer rule that I disagree with, and though I find the quest event is better than any other I've ever seen done, it still doesn't appeal to my desire for something deeper. So there's no real point for me sticking around RP wise.

I might still float around in the OOC and post up stuff in the arts section, but for now I need a serious break from it all. I have ambitions developing that some of you may have heard about, and I need to focus my RP energy on the interboard tournament that Matthew and I desire to have at some point with all of XIN. So for now, this is a warning to everybody if we have any threads - I'm sorry, but I can't be relied on.

Sorry everyone, but you know where to find me on MSN. I'll talk to you all soon, and I hope you all enjoy the environment you've built. But it's just for me - either not right now, or perhaps not at all.

Well I wish you would at least stay for the duration of the tourney. You have a chance at winning something since I took it over *sigh*

As for the "Xin" relation to this board, do not expect this board to stay associated with that internet cartoon. Yes, it was great... Like 4 or 5 years ago. Now you should expect to see quite a few transformations occuring in the near future. I have begun my OoC and IRL marketing ideas for the site which will most likely come into play starting next Friday. When I took up the position of staff it was to this board, not to the genre. I do not view this board as a Xin board and I hope in the future all of you will come to see it as its own thing. Yes, we do use a pillar system... because it was a great idea. However I don't remember Qi being involved, I remember special attacks and what not, however, even in the near future I am looking to rework the Qi system on the board.

As always it is sad to see another go, but keep us in mind. Xin won't hold us back forever.
