In the beginning, Masaru was Calm, serious, intelligent, kind, and patient. That was when he first came to America. That was the way he was brought up, and that was the way he believed he would be for the rest of his life. Due to his very unpleasant and unusual experiences in the Correctional Facility, his whole mindset had a huge turn around. He still has the base personality, where it counts. He has gained a slight personality disorder from the Correctional facility, though. To the average person, and in normal situations, he is still Calm, serious, and intelligent. The Correctional facility has hardened his heart, and his patience isn't what it used to be. He is now more secluded, and cynical, trusting no one. He hates violence, and believes the easiest way to stop violence is to crush anyone who acts violent before things can get out of hand.

Defining Marks: He is rather tall for a Japanese person, and when he isn't wearing long clothing, the distinct muscle line is very apparent.
Description: Masaru has long, thin dark brown hair, with long bangs and reddish brown eyes. He is five feet ten inches tall, well proportioned. Using Ancient martial art techniques, he has found a way to turn his muscle compact so that although he is stronger than some body builders, he isn't as massive as them. He looks slim when wearing clothes, since they cover his muscles. He wears black corduroys, black dress shoes, and a black button up shirt. Over the shirt, he wears the vest given to him from the correctional facility. Over that, he wears the leather trench coat that was also given to him at the correctional facility. Under all that, he conceals his shin and arm guards. Overall he stands out a fair amount from any crowd, since he wears dress clothes all the time, but is rather movable due to its flexibility.

True to its name, Musabetsu Kakutô Ryû or Anything Goes Martial Arts, is based on learning and adapting many different styles of martial arts, taking what works and discarding what doesn't. As such, Musabetsu Kakutô Ryû is not confined to a single way of thinking or philosophy when it comes to martial arts combat. This gives the practitioner of Musabetsu Kakutô Ryû the advantage of adaptability and unpredictability in a fight since he or she would ideally know moves and techniques from many different schools that complement each other, minimising perceptible weaknesses. The user not only learns multiple styles and techniques from both friends and enemies, but also displays the uncanny ability to adapt or modify these techniques in mid-battle to catch his or her opponent off-guard. This style, along with Masaru's Qi, is a deadly combination. He is able to read an opponent, and easily copy their basic to advanced knowledge of their own techniques. With his good memory, he can hold an unimaginable amount of fighting styles in his mind and call upon them whenever neccessary. This technique is based on trying out new things, and if they don't work, discard them. Trying out a new technique is risky in real life fights, so there aren't that many people who use this style nowadays.
Overall Strengths: Using his Qi, he is able to master other peoples fighting styles almost immediately, his fighting style is very advanced. He is able to switch to any style he wants whenever he wants, so he can keep his enemies on his toes, and do what he wants depending on the situation. Qi advantages: he is able to read what an opponent is logically going to do based on data he got from observing them, so there's a high chance he can be able to defend against some or most attacks.
Overall Weaknesses: Masaru's Qi makes him have a ridiculously good memory, so if you can bring up any bad memories from his past, like the cake, you can have an advantage over him. Also, if you are expecting him to switch styles, his surprise advantage disappears. With low wisdom(30-50) he sees many before images of people with his Qi. These can give him headaches over time and/or confuse him at lower levels.

History:
Growing up in a secret society founded by his parents, Masaru led a fairly sheltered life studying from the books and sparring with his private tutor. This secret society's main goal is to accomplish world peace and lead it into the "golden age", but shortly after Masaru becomes a teenager, the society is destroyed by an unknown organization aspiring towards world domination. Wanting their son to lead a safe life, they quickly ship Masaru to the United states. Seeking to make a secret society of his own (with no goals yet, but doesn't plan on making one for world peace) , Masaru quickly enrolls into high school 259.

After a few days at 259, Masaru finds himself not wanting a leading position, and plans on joining another gang, possibly pulling the strings in secret or advising tactician.
After the whole Correctional Facility Incident, Masaru transferred out of PHS 259, and went back to Japan for a time to train with his parents. They shipped him back out to America as soon as possible before their enemies would know they had a son. Masaru learned a fair amount back at home, and he has grown to hate violence. The way he sees it, the only way to end violence as soon as possible is to utterly crush the one who is violent. Masaru got over his fear of cakes shortly after the Correctional Facility incident, and now only hates cake, and can sometimes go into a rage when his cake memories come back.
