Body
Build: Daughtry is nothing unique when seen at his bare core. A lightly defined upper torso, hidden and tone four pack abdomen, strengthened shoulders with muscular arms, a touch neck, well arched feet, and powerful muscular legs. If seen by any individual, the assumption would likely be that he is a casual athlete and nothing more.
Facial Features: Descending universally from Europe, Allen's head is shaped in the traditional Caucasoid form. A rounded skull with a small forehead, square jaw with a rounded chin, low undefined cheekbones, thin puckered lips, rounded and retracted ear lobes, a small but definitive nose, and small rounded cerulean-blue eyes. A mesh of golden-blond hair overlaps his head in naturally thick spikes, that run above his ears and above his neck, with a hint of bright brown in the roots.
Body Tattoos: After joining Drake Anderson's posse known as the "Rat Pack," Allen Daughtry decided to have a tribal shark tattoo etched across his left arm. Its southern edge ending an inch below Allen's left wrist, the tattoo rises up the inner section of Allen's left arm, ending at the top of his bicep with the Hammerhead shark spread across his bicep muscle. Painted in a traditional black shade, it is easily noticeable if Allen is shirtless or sleeveless, but the tendrils drawn on his hand can be faintly seen at all times.
Apparel
Signature Attire: These pieces are almost always on Daughtry's person throughout his day. These include Allen's Brown Leather Jacket, his Gray Shades, and his family's German Cross. A single silver pin is pierced into the low point of his left earlobe. Having once worn his father's old overcoat for cold winter days, but now owns his own long Black Overcoat for use in the evenings and a chilly day. In the two years leading up to his arrival at PHS #42, Allen Daughtry wore a simple, cheap pair of Ebony Shades as his signature, though when they were broken by Fei Long, he replaced them.
Casual School Clothing: Along with his usual accessories, Allen is known to wear a simple shirt and pair of slacks while at school, along with a pair of mahogany Steve Madden "tennis" shoes. The shirt is usually a button up with an undershirt, or a long sleeved shirt, or even a hoodie, while the pant is often a pair of blue jeans or dark and comfortable khakis. At times, Allen may wear a silver Timex watch, but usually relies on his modest cell phone to inform him of the time. Sometimes, when in the mood, he may even wear the "Mr. Awesome" he won from the Valentine's Day Male Auction.
Winter/Evening Outfit: A slightly warmer variant of his school attire, Allen adorns his signature gear and tosses on his heavy overcoat over a dark turtleneck or sweater (never wool), with thick jeans and a pair of thick dark tennis shoes. He will often add a green scarf, skull cap, and brown leather gloves if needed.
Formal Outfit: When a special event comes up, Allen has little problem with adorning a suit to appear appropriate for the occasion. Usually, Allen simply dons a Black Suit with subtle white vertical stripes, a black belt, dark brown formal shoes, and a white button up shirt, one or three buttons undone depending on the event. Sometimes, he may even wear a Blue Silk Tie, with a black vest and his overcoat still adorned.
Thief Outfit: While only worn when on a job, Allen keeps a theme of dark, expansive and simple. With a trimmed black hoodie that fits well to his chest, reinforced black cloth gloves, tight-knit black pants and small black running boots, with a utility belt around his waist that safeguards the majority of his gear, and a chest compartment that handles his emergency gear. Last of all, Allen wears his Night Vision Goggles to filter out distracting lights with basic technologies.

Personality: Once an apathetic and withdrawn individual, Allen's time as a Pillar at Mugen Hall has brought out a more active nature. Instead of viewing from a distance, Allen involves himself in a situation that he deems important. He is not afraid to speak with others, but he is still stiff with strangers. With his familiars, he can open up, cracking jokes and grinning widely. Yet, he does not feel comfortable telling his personal thoughts, fears and weaknesses to people, save for his father.
Lately, Allen has grown more comfortable with showing emotion when his passions flare. While this lenience does not clash with his ideals, he fears the potential for jumping into a situation without thinking properly ahead. Allen is also gaining a particular despise for the excessively corrupt, whether morally or financially. He would never feel hate for someone bitter or cynical; he would, however, feel anger towards someone that would harm an "innocent" person simply for greed or illogical thinking.
Still rather stiff and stony in public, Daughtry is uncertain of his situation with women. He has no acute fear or nervousness of the opposite sex, but he isn't sure if he could show his sensitive side towards a woman he cared for. His trust for other individuals is still growing. This is why Daughtry does not actually consider anyone he knows a "friend" yet. Even with those that he likes and respects, his understanding of those individuals is not at a level that he could call them a friend. Thus, he is still growing to be more sociable.
Finally, he tends to be something of a mix between a rebel and a lone wolf. When encountered by someone that bothers Daughtry, he tends to act remarkably sarcastic and blunt, having no care to show kindness or regret for his opinions toward the other; to those who are kind to Daughtry, however, he is calmer, more restrained, and tends to let his logical side speak for him instead of his emotions. To those he respects or likes, and could become a friend one day, Allen acts more natural, with his optimism, idealism and love of things shown more, and his opinion of the person held outright; however, if that like is for a woman, his care for them is typically restrained, unless his only interest is consensual sex, which he then tends to flirt outright. And of course, with those Allen Daughtry feels hostility from or towards, his emotions flare as his logical thoughts lead him to oppose the person with every opportunity he has, as the man has little patience for his enemies.
Mentality: An analytical thinker, Allen is left-brained, and typically thinks out problems in steps, seeing the world one piece at a time. Thanks to his experience in Parkour, Allen has come to contemplate in a fashion of efficiency, seeing physical movement as actions of science; this leaves his music to be an art, not a sport. He does not suffer any mental illnesses, and has an I.Q that ranges in the 75% percentile of the American student. Thinking of himself as a "realistic optimist," Allen tends to see the glass as half-full, and enjoys turning dreams into ideals and growing nostalgia over them. However, the driving force of Allen Daughtry's beliefs is through his logic. Even if he is willing to stretch his thoughts to hope, there must be some sort of reasoning in order for him to accept.
In terms of his perception and style of reaction, Allen is a man of, as he often says, "logic over instinct." He believes that human nature is at its best when thought, reasoning and the use of analysis and logic are pressed to their fullest, and given precedent over a person's own instinctual id, emotional feelings, or moralistic superego. This does not mean that Allen is without instincts, feelings or ethics, however, it is merely that he believe someone's intelligence should reign supreme over their innate desires, their attachments, and their idea of societal good. Allen's logic, however, is innately good, and while he allows himself to steal and spill blood, or to sleep in the beds of women and hold judgmental opinions, his morality tends to stand for the "greater good of humanity." Therefore, any action he takes typically has some sort of underlying gain for humanity, even if it harms an individual person or group, and every action he takes is given with absolute determination and an unbreakable will.
Politics: While still not officially involved in politics, and still unwilling to openly speak out his opinion, Allen has begun to find a pique of interest in the science and art of government. While he personally finds sympathy towards the more liberal side of the spectrum, he still finds several arguments made by conservatives and moderates as legitimate, and is unwilling to pick a side of his own at this time. He will will be old enough to vote in November.
Ideal: Analysis of every detail is key to correct all mistakes, and to act out progress itself. Through analysis, humans evolve, and purify themselves from their own darkness, but not without the cost of personal corruption and loss of innocence. Yet, the corrupted then become incorruptible, and in the end, innocence is a dream, and guilt is a reality.
Belief: Speculative Deism - Allen has come to believe that a "higher power" is almost necessary for the Universe to exist, but is uncertain which Gods exist.
Hobbies: In his spare time, Allen enjoys a number of activities to spend throughout the day. A major practitioner of Parkour, the junior often jumps across urban rooftops and scales simple buildings, participates in rock climbing to make himself better at climbing obstacles, once studied and competed in knife fighting, and has taken lessons from Professor Kiske to make himself a more agile fighter; thus, Daughtry is beginning to pick up the nick name of "Urban Ninja." He is also growing in skill in regard to playing guitar and singing rock music, so it is common to find him stringing out a favorite song. Finally, as any other teenager enjoys, he likes to occasionally read fiction and nonfiction works, watch movies, and research any subject that interests him.
Social Habits: Tends to grin when his ego is satisfied; fiddles with his shades in conversation or boredom; needs music to focus on work; enjoys breaking out of his icy shell at times; only drinks when offered or at an event, can grow tipsy rather easily, and loses a bit of logic in drunken situations; toys with the use Marijuana, typically once a week.
Talents: Allen is quiet the worldly young man, and holds an extensive school of knowledge in modern world histories, philosophy, American political science, public speaking and social skills, locksmithing (thievery), and rock music.
| Historical Information |
Background: Born at the heart of July, a young infant christened Allen T. Daughtry became the first and only child of two common parents – Timothy Daughtry, a College Professor of Philosophy and Modern World History, and his most beloved student, Liana Gibbons. The two were of differing lifestyles, personalities, ages and commitments, yet they had, somehow, found themselves attracted to one another, and once found themselves in bed, creating a love child in the process.
Allen’s father had been in his early thirties when he was born, and his mother in her late teens. She came from a family of substantial wealth, enough so that there was no fear in the two supporting the child, however, still not enough to convince her parents to allow the maternal student to drop out of the university. Continuing her education at Oregon State University, the majority of the parenting responsibilities fell on Tim, who still had to continue his occupation as a popular and directing seat Professor. The mother moved in to the father’s apartment, and there the child was raised.
The boy’s younger years, without much consciousness, were truthfully not too turbulent. While Tim constantly evaded his egotistical in-laws, who constantly criticized his lifestyle, his lover – as the two had yet to marry, a reason why the grandparents were a pain – gave comfort. Growing up to the age of seven was no problem, and Allen has distinct memories of fondness between his mother, his father, and himself. Yet, even as a toddler, social skills were not shown; he seemed a withdrawn, introverted child from the start.
It was when he turned eight years old that life began to change. His mother, who had been in the Oregon University thus far for the entirety of his childhood for her Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s, and Doctorate was finally able to join society, and gained an occupation at the State of Maryland as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Baltimore County. Timothy, now the spouse of his junior love, was comfortable with the long move, and quickly gained a transfer as a Professor of History to the Baltimore division of the University of Maryland. Allen was fine with the move as well, since the youngsters he was surrounded by at elementary school were not terribly bound to him. The major obstacle, however, were the grandparents; they hated the idea of their own “baby” being on the other side of the country, especially in the “turbulent” times the world was in. Whether true or not, their selfishness would not hold back their daughter and her husband, who moved east without hesitation. This would begin years of strife for the family that would eventually tear them all apart.
Five years passed with a noticeable affect on Allen’s persona. He had, seemingly, accepted his habit as a quiet, withdrawn youth, strongly reinforced by the nights he had spent listening to his father’s discussions of philosophical ideas of individualism and liberty, and brought the boy to care less for what society deemed for him, and more for what he deemed to himself. Often not liking or desiring the attachment to friends, Allen instead spent his time reading or indulging in people that were interested in him; non existence game characters. His parents’ relationship was still stable, however, the stress of their schedules was tearing at the weak seams that had already been in place, mostly because of the rushed wedding, burden of a child, and the significant age difference. It would not make a difference in twenty years, but the fact that Liana was in her sexual prime and Tim was leaving his own was beginning to show considerable strain on their love.
Around this time, Allen discovered the “fad” of Parkour, the art of flight. It was a fitting ability to him, considering that its philosophy was based upon avoiding or merely substituting combat with escape. The fourteen year old Daughtry had never been a fan of the fights that occurred at school, and now that he could learn to efficiently escape them, he would feel more comfortable. An “acquaintance” of the teen offered to teach him the various methods, and his father was willing to pay the slightly older youth for the sporting. So, for the next year and a half, a junior by the name of Juan educated Allen in the basic skills of efficient acrobatic and bodily movements. This would bring some, yet not much, social ability into the youth, yet most of his experiences would allow for him to become the experienced Parkour “thief” he is known for today.
By the end of his Parkour training, his parents had reached their boiling point. Tim was beginning to suspect that his younger wife was having an affair with her superior, and was soon proven correct when the woman arrived home late with a friend pointing her to a “date” earlier that evening. The two had an argument so fierce, Allen grew upset with the two, threw on his clothes – regardless of the fact it was the middle of the night – and ran off into the dirty streets directly in front of them, catching the two off guard. Furious with his parents, specifically with his mother, Allen decided not to come home for two weeks, avoiding detection and “rescue” by the local Police through his skills in Parkour, and scrounging up food, water, shelter and clothing by experimenting with thievery. This period played out as a major turning point in Allen’s life. Being alone in the dark world of Baltimore’s ghettos made his conscious pass on to a new level of observant thought. He began to grow obsessed with the idea of overseeing the details, the lifestyles, the way of the Human Race, and understanding exactly why they worked the way they did, and how they ticked. It was not a disturbing hope by any means; in a way, it was noble, human in itself. He was a Cancer, after all; he desired to find his place in existence. He found it as its subtle, silent observer, far away with a telescope.
This period would also be the point where the Qi inside of Allen began to grow. Curious of his neighbors, Allen found himself staring like a dog at those that slept in their homes while he crouched at their windows, originally intending to break in and steal a few things, but soon finding himself enthralled with their waving bodies, the breath that left their forms, the shade of their flesh. Finding himself fall into a near-meditative state at these points, Allen’s conscious was literally growing capable of concentrating its own intellect, knowledge and energy into “estimating” the status of the person he overlooked. Allen, at this elementary level of the Qi that he would eventually title as “The Keyhole,” allowed him to “detect” medical irregularities, heart rate, perspiration, muscle mass, etc. It was nothing tremendous, but since he could use the skill for doors, objects, and lock picks as well, it definitely came in handy.
Eventually, Allen returned to his family, to find that his mother had actually decided to leave town on the “advice” of the boy’s grandparents, leaving Tim to find the boy he had “driven off all on his own.” Depressed and angry with the woman he had loved, Timothy consoled in his star child, who had been like his mirror, his pupil. Packing up and moving out of Baltimore County, the father and son immigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where Allen’s father gained a job as a Professor at Penn State. Yet, a year later, Tim was offered a job to become the head of the Social Studies Department at Mugen University, and as his son had already been attending Public High School #381 prior to the new occupation, it was not a difficult move.
Time at Mugen Hall: On the first day of school, Allen Daughtry and the other "Mugenites" were exposed to the school's staff at a school orientation in the campus' amphitheater. The junior watched quietly as a handful of professors, the Dean Ms. Valentine, and Direct Xing introduced themselves in detail. Near the end, Allen came face-to-face with the school's head of security, Alter Mann, before the orientation's end.
For a month after the semester's start, Allen simply went to his classes and casually met with other students on the school grounds, mostly keeping to himself, observing the world around him. He didn't make any friends, but he did meet his roommate - Gabe Ember, in the dorm room he deemed "The Bunker." In the month after orientation, however, Allen had been researching other schools of the Corporal Punishment System that had been in the headlines when he slipped across a note from a passerby he briefly spoke with that talked about a secret meeting in the amphitheater. When he arrived that night, Daughtry found the front aisle filled with several faces he recognized, including his roommate. Through a series of discussions and problems brought up, Allen Daughtry was offered to become the school's "Keeper of the Peace," one of the Pillar positions under the Collective Captain, whom would be Gabe. While a part of him felt reluctant, the situation's dire need eventually led Allen to accept the title.
And so, for about three months Allen casually leads his position as a defender of the school, coming to meet several students of the various schools in the process, including his ally Gerald Taku and the rather passionate Lynn Fordeen, but as the new year begins to arrive, a crisis begins to threaten Mugen Hall: a business owner in the rap industry, named Kelvin Roberts, begins to threaten the school's music department for the survival of his own record album. When requested to attend a meeting by Gabe Ember, however, Allen finds more problems, as one of the other school leaders appears to be going rogue from the student hierarchy, most of the school's staff appears uninvolved in defending the campus, and one of the professors in attendance seems to have connections to the dangerous Alter Mann. Thus, after the meeting's completion, Allen is severely concerned about the school's safety, and he and Taku venture off to meet Gabe at The Bunker to discuss the issue.
Shortly thereafter, Allen's social life began to pick up. He started to meet new people, such as Drake Anderson, and formed alliances that, even he knew, had the potential to grow into friendship. He participated in a Valentine's Day "Male Auction," that aimed to collect funds for rebuilding the school's destroyed gymnasium from a previous crisis the year before by "selling" the participating boys to their female counterparts for a night at the school's Valentine's Day dance, of which Allen was "purchased" by Sapphire Firestorm. Besides taking the girl to the dance, Allen spent a casual night on the town with her, and went on to meet other women in other situations, such as Brooke Skyiths in school and the mysterious "Relic" on a dark and cloudy urban street. He would also go on cross paths with other students, such as a strange man in a cafe (Hiroshi), and Ryu Hayabusa, a dangerous transfer that engaged him in a fight.
Yet, as the month of April neared, an unfortunate situation in Gabe's life forced Allen's Captain to abandon his post and the school itself, with Daughtry and a handful of Ember's other allies fighting the men pursuing them in a fight to the death, where Allen first made contact with his future rival, Alain Kruger. After the men were defeated, Gabe took his leave, and Allen lost his title as Keeper of the Peace with him. Worse, a dark side of Sapphire Firestorm's past threatened her life as well, and through a series of events, Allen tried his best to save her. However, no matter what result came from anything in his environment, Allen's own personal life went haywire, as his secret profession as a hired thief dropped him into the lap of a local crime family.
One night, after having stolen a pair of knives for his pawnbroker Joey Jefferson, Allen Daughtry returned to his shop to find his fence being muscled into submission by a number of dangerous men in suits, and when Allen attempted to escape, he was knocked unconscious by a baseball bat wielded by an unseen assailant. Waking up at an unknown hour later on, Daughtry watched as Jefferson was executed before his eyes for reasons he knew nothing of, and feared for his own life when he was cut free and placed in front of one of the family's bosses.
The older man, in his own way, explained to Daughtry that the family knew about his skills as a thief, and hoped to have him use his skills to assist one of their family's branches on the west coast of the United States, in San Francisco, where they needed someone to "clean up" some of their competition. The boss was essentially forcing Allen to become an indentured hitman for their family in the west, an enslaved assassin, and if he didn't comply, than all those he loved would be killed. Allen, while unconvinced that the mafia discovered his true identity, agreed to their terms for the time being, and was released under the watchful eye of two hustlers.
However, Daughtry had other plans. After losing the two men with a use of his parkour capabilities, the boy warned his father of the situation, though uncertain of how the older man could hide away. He was surprised to learn, however, that Tim Daughtry was "more than able to stow away" thanks to an unknown source, and strangely enough, his son believed the story, and followed his father's orders to escape from Philadelphia as soon as possible. Taking the command to heart, Allen left to collect his things from "The Bunker," and from there, made a hasty beeline for the West Coast, where he planned to hide away as just another student. The school he chose for attendance was an impressive place, full of intrigue and history, and it's name was Hircine High.
Time at Hircine High: Daughtry's time in one of San Francisco's premier institutions was mostly a quiet life, filled with the man actually having a return to normalcy. He floated through the halls, observing other students as they fought their battles and enjoyed their lives, and thanks to the lessons he learned at Mugen Hall, Daughtry joined them from time to time. He met a few fighters at the school, and heard plenty about the school's history of violence, but for the most part, regardless of the Pillarship title given to him by the School Captain of the time, Tyler "Kyukaku" Scott, he remained mostly behind the scenes, assisting when necessary and simply taking the time to learn.
However, this little spark of peace was not meant to be. In a recent show of extremist force, Hircine High was abruptly attacked by domestic terrorists with a series of explosives, obliterating the school from the campus. Allen Daughtry, like many others, had been caught in the blast, and barely escaped with his life. He would spend at least one month in the local hospital recovering - alone, without support from the family that could not find him - before learning that the System saw his injury as an opportunity to rid him of potentially harming the power of Director Troutman at their new school, and instead transferred him to another San Francisco high school - Public High School #42, commonly known as Moral Crest High.
It would be here that Daughtry would make his recovery, and it would be here that, once again, he would live and learn.

He is also growing in skill in regard to playing guitar and singing rock music, so it is common to find him stringing out a favorite song.
