SO, WHAT ARE YOU LIKE?
Personality: Min has a pretty laid back personality - at least, on the outside. For starters, she is stranger friendly. Despite the 'Stranger Danger' lecture, Min finds herself socializing and making friends with many people that she meets up on the street. She holds an easy going aura that simply makes her approachable, and tends to smile a lot at the stupidest of things. Easily amused? That's one way to put it. However, one should not be fooled by the facade that she puts up - she is deceitful to everyone around her, her parents and herself included. It's come to the point where Min doesn't know who she really is anymore. To her parents, she might come off as an angelic little girl that helps out at soup kitchens and the retirement home. To her best friends, she'll probably be seen as a party girl that likes to get wild. To her teachers, she might come off as intelligent; the one with impeccable grammar. To the strangers? Well, they can range from, "Wow, what a bitch!" to, "Eh, she's average..." She's stranger friendly...ONLY to those who appear to be friendly themselves, or seems to be in need of some help.
Or is it a facade? Maybe Min just happens to act differently around different groups of people? Which tends to be the case. And there lies a problem: Min is not creating her own identity, but is mashing together an identity that is taken from other people. Does this make her a fake? When Min is alone, she has the want to remain alone. Quiet and reserved, she takes this time to ponder about herself, by herself; maybe read a book, or take a sip of coffee, even. And during this time, many thoughts tend to cross her mind. Min actually happens to be a self-conscious individual, which is the reason why Min is careful about her actions and words. She pretends that she isn't, always saying things like, "I don't care what people think," when she really does. She wants to be seen as a 'good' girl, but often times ends up in trouble for all the wrong reasons. She just seems to have rotten luck, because she tends to end up at the wrong places at the wrong times.
Another thing about Min is that she has a temper. But rather than letting it out, Min bottles it in and releases it all at once at night by either picking fights or venting it through dance. She tries to be the "better" person by walking away from impending fights, convincing herself that she shouldn't waste time bickering with ignorant people. On the other hand, if her buttons are pressed one too many times, Min would have no problem sending a right hook right into that person's face. Min does not fight like a girl, but if the situation itself gets down and dirty, then Min is all up for pulling hair.
To sum it all up, Min's personality really depends on who she's hanging out with and what her mood is.

WHAT ABOUT SOME PICXZ?
Build: Toned, with a sleek muscular build.
Defining Marks: None.
Description: Min has the typical Asiatic trait of almond shaped eyes that tend to 'chink up' whenever she smiles and/or laughs. They're chocolate brown in color, but tend to get lighter in the sun. Min usually wears eye-liner, but avoids eye-shadow and mascara. Min also wears black framed glasses, but prefers clear contacts for comfort. Min has long, dark colored hair, styled with many layers and bangs that can be easily brushed off to the side. The colour of Min's hair changes every couple of weeks, from dark purple to a light brown. Her hair is silk smooth and is often let down and left alone. No clips, hair bands or other accessories are found on her head. When blow dried, Min's hair turns out to be naturally straight. However, if left alone, her hair tends to come out in light waves.
With all the dance that Min gets herself into, her body appears to be very well managed in terms of it being tone. Her arms and legs aren't muscular to the point of it being disgusting, but not flabby, either. With all the dance lessons that Min has taken, she built up a solid base when it comes to stamina, allowing her to be active for long periods of time. Whereas Min may come off as a bit attractive to some males, most tend to simply like looking at her because she does not hold the typical hour glass body shape. She has no hip, no butt, and her chest size? Yeah, right.
Min's preference when it comes to style of clothing is the typical 'hip hop' wear. Loose jeans and pants usually take up her lower body, but on super hot summer days, she has no problem wearing fitted shorts. On her torso is usually a black wife beater with a hooded shirt over it. Min's closet is filled with hooded shirts and sweatshirts, that way, she can have some kind of hood over her head whenever she feels like it if she doesn't have a cap. As for her feet? An old pair of her favorite gray sneakers. Min also wears a minimum amount of jewelery. There is a simple silver band with a small, diamond-like stud on her ring finger of her right hand, along with a thin silver band on her left cartilage.
DOES THAT MEAN YOU'RE FEISTY?
Fighting Style: Pressure Points & Freestyle.
Years Practiced: Pressure Points, 2 | Freestyle, 9
Description of style: The main use of pressure points is for close quarters combat. Min mainly uses this as pain: Some points are painful because of the prevalence of nerves in the area. There is actually a form of martial arts called Pressure Point Karate - the amount of force used, the angle it's striked upon, depth and technique is important. A vital point strike can cause unconsciousness, paralyzes parts of the body, disrupt organ function and cause death. However, Min, not wanting to be a cause of death to others, merely presses down against the pressure points. Of course, unless in a life-death situation, she will not hesitate to strike.
Min holds no real fighting style. Although she had taken TaeKwonDo in the past, the self-defense class was nothing compared to actual fighting. TaeKwonDo prepared you to counter and block moves that one already knows. In no way does it help in street fights where people use dirty tactics. Jean herself began to adapt to the lifestyle of street fighting when her family was in financial need. She tends to be on the defensive rather than the offensive, but if an opportunity arises, she will strike. Not only that, but Jean tends to throw small, projectile objects with deadly aim, thanks to her father who had a knack for weapons. Although Jean could use weapons to defend herself, she does not have the guts to actually shoot or cut someone unless her own life was on the line - which is hardly ever.
Overall Strengths: Flexibility and sharp reflexes which Min has toned over the years. Quick on her feet and has experience in combat due to problems at her previous school and at home. She has excellent control over her body when it comes to combat, though at times she tends to over analyze situations and is unable to pull off a move. Min can be a stoic girl at times, so harsh words and insults hardly affect her. She can take criticism well, open minded and will try almost anything once. She takes the option to take on a low profile, having the skill of being able to blend in with everyone else and not stand out, avoiding fights.
Overall Weaknesses: Has a relatively low tolerance for pain, but that doesn't stop her from fighting. Because of her low tolerance for pain, she tends to be more on the defensive, which tires her out after a while. Min also struggles with trusting people to a certain degree, therefor the lack of friends and support from peers. She does have a slight build in her legs, which helps her in kicking, however when it comes to an overall physical strength, she can be considered a little weak, especially in her arms. thinks faster than her body can move.

ALRIGHT, LET'S GET PERSONAL NOW.
History: In the winter of 1989, both Jae-Sun and Min-Ji moved to the states from Korea in hopes of a better future. The promise of all the wonderful opportunities that would await them was appealing. Being more than financially stable in Korea, they figured that they would have no problem in the Americas. The language barrier was a fixed solution because they managed to contact an old friend from high school that moved to the states years before. An apartment was all ready for them to move into, and all they needed to do was fly over, sign the contract, and bam! It would be the start of a beautiful, easy-going life.
Or at least, it would have been, if it weren't for the high school "friend". Jae-Sun and Min-Ji had to put in a deposit for the apartment they wanted to get in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, and so they sent the money over via air mail to their friend, Hyung-Min. Now, when they arrived at the airport, Hyung-Min was supposed to pick them up and drive them to their apartment. Instead, they were abandoned; their money given as a deposit was gone, and the apartment never even existed. They had many of their belongings and a decent amount of money, but where would they go? It wasn't as if they could ask just anyone for help, either, with the language barrier.
The two adults were lucky. Being in an airport filled with Korean passengers, they managed to find a Korean-American who was willing to help them in their sticky situation. Although she couldn't help the two right away, she invited them into her home to stay for a couple of weeks, helping them find a decent home. However, their money was quickly withering away, and there weren't many "nice neighborhoods" to live in with their budget. Although thankful for the hospitality, they also felt as if they were a burden to the girl, and so they quickly moved into an apartment within the city. Living in poverty was not an included plan of moving to America.
It was a surprise to know that after a year of living in Detroit, that Min-Ji would get pregnant, and it was an even bigger surprise to know that there was not just one, but two. Twins! As much as they loved the idea of starting their own family, they were unsure if they would be able to financially support themselves now that they had to provide more food, clothing and time - all things they weren't sure they would have, especially because money was already tight to begin with. They were seriously contemplating on whether or not they should put their children up for adoption, because at least then there would be a very high chance of their children living a better life. However, as the weeks turned into months, they found themselves becoming more financially stable, and decided to keep the children.
On the evening of June 6, 1991, Jae-Sun and Min-Ji gave birth to twins. It was nothing spectacular, nothing out of the ordinary to the public eye, but to Jae-Sun and Min-Ji, these two children would be the epitome of happiness in their poverty stricken lives. They were named Young-Min and Jae-Young Adair. Young-Min was the first child to be born; only two minutes older than Jae-Young. A baby girl and a baby boy. What more could a couple want? As children, the two were as expected - constantly with each other. Perhaps not always on peaceful terms, but they looked out for each other, and had a jolly old time. However, with time, it became more of a burden. At a point, it was inevitable that they would begin to go their separate ways. At the advent of high school, when kids gained more freedom, it became harder for Young-Min to keep an eye on Jae-Young. Jae-Young, always having been a more wild kid, began to find himself in trouble more often.
Young-Min, on the other hand, stuck to her studies. Her parents sacrificed so much of their time to send them to school, Young-Min thought it would be a terrible waste to step on their hard work. So, Young-Min did everything in her power to keep away from the 'bad crowd', often warning her brother that what he did would eventually take its toll on the family. Of course, he never listened, nor did she expect him to - so then why was she persistent? Because, as much as the two fell apart, he was still her other half. She spent most of her nights worrying about her brother, wondering what kind of gang related activity he'd get himself into, and how long it would keep up.
It was during her Sophomore year that she decided to follow him and, pretty much spy on what he was doing. What she saw wasn't pleasant; in fact, it was a wake up call for Young-Min to see how different Jae-Young was from her, and how much the two fell apart from each other. After that night, Young-Min wasn't sure how to behave around Jae-Young anymore. She felt as if she were a complete stranger to herself and the family, and it bothered her because at times, she felt like he no longer cared as much for the family as the family did for him.
At the end of their Sophomore year, both their parents found an opportunity for a new job in Moral Crest. At first, it was just something they talked about - both were unsure if they were actually going to take it. However, when news of Jae-Young's expulsion reached home, it seemed as if they had little choice. Young-Min was not pleased with moving away, but she hoped it would give the family a fresh start - especially for her brother.
