If someone is able to crack through his social wall, he can be very loose and talkative. To those that don't know him he seems like an asshole who doesn't care about anyone or anything. He is not prone to losing his temper. Calm and thoughtful are good ways to describe him.
Levi is the complete opposite. He likes to know everyone, mainly for their position and what they can do for him. He's a skilled conversationalist and knows how to capture peoples interest. He is also intelligent, as he knows what Aureus knows. He is more of the fighter compared to Aureus, and will usually take over in those situations. He can be rather outspoken at times, and is fairly selfish.[/b]

In terms of posture, Aureus tries to stand up straight the majority of the time, while Levi tends to slouch. Their hair is slightly shaggy with long bangs. They wear size 10 1/2 shoes. When it comes to clothing, they both tend to wear blank T-shirts of various colors or band T-shirts. Levi likes to wear hoodies from time to time. Rarely you'll see one of them wear a plaid button-up over a T-shirt. For pants it's nearly always loose fitting jeans or cargos. Occasionally Levi will wear basketball shorts. For footwear it's either a pair of black and gray Fallens or their old Varsity Captain boots. Finally, the two have gone through phases with fedoras and dark red beanies.

Description of style: For Aureus/Levi street fighting is simply the style that comes naturally to him, as he wasn't instructed in any particular martial art. He uses all of his body, i.e. his fists(front and sides), feet(toe, heel, and arch), elbows, knees, head, and shoulders. The surroundings are also fair game. Aureus likes to let his opponent attack first so he can learn their habits and counter them. Levi, however, likes to be very aggressive and will charge into a fight, throwing out whatever comes to mind.
Overall Strengths: Because of his patience, Aureus is sometimes able to pick apart a fighter's habits and weaknesses and successfully exploit them. It's analytical nature also helps him learn new techniques from the people he fights. Having flaming, studded gloves also makes him a tad more dangerous, plus it makes him look really cool.
Overall Weaknesses: Because of the waiting games Aureus likes to play, he can be overwhelmed by aggressive opponents, especially those more skilled than himself, versatile fighters, or those who know his style well enough to fool him. Also, due to his lack of formal training, he is weak against people with strong fighting backgrounds.
History Information
History: Aureus' father ditched him and his mother before he was even born. Every couple years he'd up and ditch his family and go make a new one. The fucker was starting a franchise. And so, that was the first blow to the young boy's development. After living a meager life with his mother for five years, the second blow came in a familiar form. She ditched him. Left him to be dealt with by the government, or adoption as they're known.
While waiting to be adopted, he not only had to fight with abandonment issues, but also had to go through hell with the doctors that were there to help him. He spent years in a shitty building surrounded by people that he didn't trust and who didn't like him, not to mention the daily visits from lesbians, gays, old women, and infertile couples looking to have a child of their own. Having people stare and watch him all the time got to him. Which is why he always tried to exclude himself from others. It was at this time he took to books. All kinds, kinds that were probably too advanced for him. But it didn't matter, he wanted to learn things that weren't taught in the dirty classroom they were bundled into everyday. In addition, there were always a bunch of kids that chose to bully him. And what did he do? Fight back. Again and again he was forced to defend himself. Eventually, he got pretty good at it, and at that time those who didn't hate him feared him. Not that he attacked anyone who left him alone, they just didn't trust him. And why should they?
He was eventually adopted at the age of eight, against his wishes, by an old couple. Now in this tear jerking story of woe, could anyone guess what happened next? They abandoned him you say? Nope, they abused him. Or the male, his 'father' did anyway. According to the man, he was his son, and had to do what he said. Whatever that included. Getting his beer, cleaning the house, living in a cage. Eventually by means of a nosy case worker, his predicament was discovered and he was removed from the home immediately. And then there was a trial and all the mess that goes with it. Back to the orphanage. He was nine.
Because of all the stress, all of the mistrust, all of the missing affection, Aureus created another personality to cope with it all. Levi was his name and he was everything Aureus hoped to be. Confident, outspoken, and a real fighter. He made everyone listen to him, and didn't take shit from anyone. It didn't help his relations with the other children, but he had someone to talk with. For a while, he didn't even know Levi was himself. He thought he was simply someone that knew a little too much about him. And eventually, he came to trust him. It wasn't until one of the people at the orphanage noticed how he was behaving and threw him into another 'meeting' to deal with his 'condition'. Levi told him not to listen to the shrink, and that they needed each other. And of course, Aureus listened. For the next couple of years, he learned to hide the way he was.
Once again he was adopted, but this time by someone he liked. She had been wandering through the orphanage looking at the children like the thousands of others before her. Only something about her struck Aureus. She was around 30 years old, raven hair, and remind him of his mother. No matter how much he wanted to hate that woman, he naturally yearned for her. And now this woman, Ashley, filled that piece in his life. Even Levi liked her. She became attached to him too and finally adopted him. He was eleven.
She lived in nearby Long Beach , and was middle class. Their house was pretty nice overall, and Aureus finally felt like he had a real home. One he could be comfortable in. Ashley made sure he had lots of books to read, and she didn't even mind Levi's appearances every now and then. She thought he was pretty funny. He attended a public middle school, and as usual kept to himself. There were still assholes that liked to pick on him, and others, but they learned their place when they had their arms broken by him. Again, everyone tended to avoid him and Levi was his only friend. But that didn't matter, he was only there for a few years before it was time for high school. And where did he go? Well, PHS 259 of course.
Aureus' three and a half years at 259 were definitely productive. Before long he had earned the title of Varsity Captain. It was also the place where he fell in love with a raven haired beauty named Chihiro Amuri. Much like Levi, she enjoyed using people, but even so they formed a fast friendship after a hallway fight and a run-in in the girl's locker room. Because of her, the dull-eyed loner learned to trust people and came out of the shell he had trapped himself in for so many years. But as young romances tend to do, things didn't stay perfect for long.
A transfer student named Karel Sorosu raped Chihiro and effectively cracked her relationship with Aureus. What followed was a whirlwind of teen angst, violence, alcohol, and a little drug called Brimstone. In the end Aureus lost Chi, his pillarship, and threw himself into rehab. After that he was able to partially heal his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, but things were never the same between them. It may have gone differently if she hadn't left for who knows where for a year or so, or had she not lost her unborn child when she returned to Long Beach.
Those years also saw a barrage of attacks on the school by different groups, an internal conspiracy, and Levi's fling with a girl named Max. In the middle of his Senior year, an earthquake turned it all to rubble. Aureus now attends PHS 42 in a much more low-key role than he did at his previous school. He occupies a space somewhere between his old tight-lipped loner persona and his short-lived youthful hopefulness.
