Quests are the major staff run story arcs of the site. This is where the events from the Government and other non student related groups will be enacted allowing you the members to interact and take part in the world beyond the school system. There are a couple of things that you keep in mind before joining a quest though, these things will be outlined below.
1) As quests are major storyline events we will not be restricting how many quests you can be involved in. Meaning that if you were part of the first quest, you are allowed to be in to the second quest. We want to encourage you to participate in the quests and help the plot shape itself rather then pick and choose and try and guess which ones will have the highest payout.
2) You must sign up for the quest. This lets us know who is involved in the quest so that we know when everyone, or the majority of the participants have posted so we may move on.
3) Activity is key. Should you be inactive for longer then a week, yes even if something happens and your computer dies, then you grant staff permission to god mod you and knock you out. This will disqualify you from the quest and allow us to continue. It may sound harsh, but most quests die from lack of activity and steps need to be taken to ensure it keeps moving.
4) The staff will review the quest and reward people based on the events of the quest and player interaction. This is a careful process that the staff will work on together, because of that we ask that you not complain if you don't get the best reward. All it does is make the people that got the best rewards feel bad and makes the staff members not want to do it again. Remember there will be other quests and other rewards.
5) As quests tend to get large and out of hand the order of names on the sign up sheet will be the order that you are to post in. However in the event that someone is holding up the thread. After a day of no new posts then the person holding up the line will be skipped over and must wait until their turn again to post. The only exception to the post order rule, is if you are in direct combat with the quest character.
6) In the case of direct combat all players that are in direct combat will follow the post order as normal, but only with the members that are in combat. Below is an example post order.
Quest character
Player 1
Player 2
Player 3
Player 4
Now if both Player 1 and Player 3 are in combat with the quest character it would go like this.
Quest Character
Player 1
Player 3
Quest Character
In this situation they skip over players 2 and 4. However both players 2 and 4 may jump in at any time. So if player 4 jumped in to the fight after player 1 posted he would get his post that he jumped in before returning to his normal place.
