Something was certainly different about today.
To Thirteen, it could have been like any other day, except for that off feeling in her head, and the A-Team theme being played in the background from some car as she made her way into the main 42 campus. Off days were rather common to her, but this one was of course, special. Instead of being cut from the future, such as what normally happened, instead...it felt as if her Qi was spiking in very awkward ways. She wasn't just seeing the future, she felt as if she could touch it almost.
Needless to say, it was a very odd moment...or...moments now.
Thirteen stopped and peered around; a useless gesture considering her condition, but then again, it was warranted as simple human reaction when something was going wrong. Time skipped seemingly seconds ahead at a time, making for a difficult time walking.
She stumbled once, trying to gain extra footing as people skipped and lagged, much like trying to play a first person shooter on a terrible server. Except the difference was now...was that this was real, and there was no disconnecting from the server to find another one. There was only one known world with thousands of variable permutations. But it was still only one world...she couldn't teleport to somewhere else...
Could she?
No. Of course not. That's not how she worked.
A final stumble practially put her on the ground. She couldn't see, and was for the most part, crippled as time toyed with her head. She couldn't accurately see much of anything, much less a girl starting to approach her.

Today was special; for one certain white-haired girl who barely has any idea of what was to unfold. In fact: for Emily, today was all about going to Math class and finishing up some homework for her AP Psych class that afternoon after lunch.
Emily thought of coming early to school today, basically walking calmly into school grounds; walking inside as her cellphone was open, texting her beloved Ryuu a good morning for the day.
Well, after the message was sent, Emily pulled her cellphone back to her pockets and finally noticed one unfamiliar student who seemed to be quite disoriented. Being a student with a decent amount of pre-nursing school training, this girl was quite confident in her own abilities to help.
So, of course; Emily slowly made her way to approach her. "Hey, are you alright? You don't look so... good..."
No answer. Oh my, she really was disoriented. Probably even more so than she originally thought. "Hey! You okay?" Emily would drop her bag of heavy (and albeit overused set of) books closeby as she ran forward, basically attempting to catch the girl as she made one final stumble. Emily had caught her before they reached the ground, but as soon as they made contact; something felt wrong. Emily was frozen.
What was it that she was seeing?
There were images. Lots of images, plowing through her mind at a hundred miles an hour. It was quite unbelievable, and yet somehow, Emily felt cold sweat run down her face.
The window to the future - what does it say?

Oh, you'd think this was normal for Thirteen. After all, how stable could a girl that could see into the future be? Of course, not very, but even then, she had some kind of control of her powers...like how far into the future it went, and where. But Thirteen's fast-forwards were coming at a randomly staggered and lagged rate, indicating that she had in fact lost control of her Qi.
But it was far more than that, oh yes.
Far more.
The very fabric of time and space was being shorn apart at the seams in a very short radius around her, and sadly, even though she couldn't move, see, or speak...she could hear the footsteps and voice of an approaching girl. She couldn't stop her from getting too close, she couldn't stop her from...not hitting the ground.
And as soon as Emily, yes, she now had her name, touched Thirteen, the thread was broken, and the both of them would fall limp on the campus floor. (Permission Granted.) Time raced by as the both of them, their consciousnesses rather, were shot into the depth's of Thirteen's own mind...giving them the most realistic future scenario possible. The sun turned to clouds and rain, and the two would land in the wet grass of a more...temperate environment.
"Ow...what's going on...?"

Emily had no idea what was happening. She did not feel that she had hit the pavement, nor did she feel the weight of the woman who basically had fallen onto her. It was as if she was taken into some other part of reality; as she had an ominous feeling of slight fear.
A fear of the unknown?
Emily's mind raced, her memories from childhood up to the present basically running back and forth through her mind like music on endless loop. Memories of pain and laughter ran back and forth; back and forth and Emily was trapped on her own mind; in another's own mind.
She had never felt this much fear before.
No. She had.
Only two times before, hasn't she?
Yes, those moments where she felt her self-control slip through her fingers. This wasn't one of them, but she was afraid. As the black darkness sparked thunder and rain, Emily heard a voice that snapped her out of the confines of her own mind.
"Ow...what's going on...?"
Emily's eyes snapped open, meeting droplets of water. Using a hand to wipe them off her eyes, she would look at the girl, puzzled as ever.
"I... don't know." She said, "Where are we?"

((I'll take small fries for 200 Alex.))
The rain was smattering against her face...everywhere, in her eyes, in her hair...this whole place was a mess, and the interesting part? When she did the same as Emily, wiping the water from her eyes...she could...well. She could actually see. And her Qi? It didn't work. At least not in the normal sense. But more about that later!
As for where they were, Thirteen knew exactly where they were. She had had this dream...before. Wait. They were in Vancouver, where exactly was still up for debate, but surely, she had seen this before. And Emily was in it.
"I think we're in Vancouver..."
HA! Rather, they were in the confines of her own mind, Thirteen's Qi taking Emily for the ride. Thirteen got up, trying to help Emily to her own feet as well. It was rather obvious they were trapped here for the time being, so they might as well make the most of it. Good ol' rainy Vancouver, the site of many trials and tribulations, including a few that neither of them were technically not supposed to see.
At least the damned time skips had stopped. Sadly, Thirteen had accurate deduced what happened, on the account of regaining her sight.

Vancouver? Never been there, never heard of it much besides the fact that it was in Canada. As to where in Canada exactly, and which province it was on - nope, Emily wasn't that geographically aware of places. Nor could she recognize the difference between here, Long beach and San Francisco.
"I think we're in Vancouver..."
Emily blinked. "Vancouver?" She exclaimed, "You mean, we're in Canada? H-how in the world did that happen?"
And of course, the clairvoyant gave Emily the answer that would normally make some people believe she was crazy. I mean, how often do you get inside the psyche of another person? "I think...I think we're stuck in my head."
Emily blinked. "... are you serious?" She said, "Is this the result of... your Qi?" It wasn't hard to think that this would be a product of a Qi, after all - Qi was strange by nature and anything just as strange could be assumed to be because of Qi.
"... Why are we in Vancouver?"
Well, that was just one of the hundreds of questions in Emily's mind right now. She didn't know when this was, or what to expect at all. All she knew was this was no longer San Francisco, and that everything she was seeing felt, sounded and looked real. It was almost scary to think that a Qi such as this could exist - but of course, not impossible.
