OOC - Takes place immediately after While you were sleeping... (Sara Quinn).
Sara blinked, trying to adjust her eyes to the sunlight streaming through her window. Moving to sit up, she winced in pain, her hand moving to her neck and rubbing softly. She was still shirtless from the night before. Remembering what had happened, she sighed deeply, closing her eyes. Fighting back the tears she looked around her room sadly. The room itself was destroyed from the kidnapping. That had been so long ago... And not once had she cleaned yet. The rest of the house was in no better condition.
She looked at the empty spot next to her, wondering he had gone, and if he was still here. She knew he wasn't when she spotted the note. Opening it, she read it quickly and put it back down. Fine... Let him do as he pleased... She didn't care, so long as Alpha was no where near her.
Her small dog crawled out from under the bed and looked sadly up at her. At the sight of the dog, Sara did cry, the tears rolling gently down her cheeks. Why had everything gone so wrong? If she just hadn't slept with Matrim, nothing would have turned out like this. This whole time, she had been blaming Matrim for all of it. But it was her. If she hadn't slept with Matrim none of this wouldn't have happened... Travis would have been there the night that they had come, breaking into her home and taking her. The dog jumped gently onto the bed and whined softly.
She reached out to pet it, but it flinched from her touch. That small movement made everything that happened hit home. Hard. Everything that had happened came back in a wave that rolled over her, filling her with sadness. She let it flow over her, her mind running through each thought and then moving to the next one. What if Travis hadn't been strong enough to stop them from taking her. If that was the case, then they would have taken her anyways, and this still would have happened. And the news of Travis and Reira. That had been completely unknown to her until last night. She wondered if maybe she would have been better off not knowing that. Sara was completely over Travis, had accepted that he had been in the right. She missed him, but accepted his leaving her now. But knowing he had slept with Reira, and yet, she and Matrim had still ended up together, tore at her heart. She was able to admit to herself now that sleeping with Matrim had been... Maybe not her smartest idea, but it had been necessary, and she wouldn't change it for anything.
Apparently, Matrim would. That stung more then anything else. Matrim didn't love her. She accepted that, did Alpha need to rub that in her face? Did he need to make her feel small and ugly? She avoided him after the whole friendship thing, thus causing her to miss out on the news of his child and Reira's death. Was it worth it? Why had she avoided him? Not willing to go there, but feeling slightly better after thinking it all through, she pulled herself out of the bed. It was time to clean the apartment up, and move on. What had happened had happened, there was nothing she could do about it. Only try to fix things, to make something of her self.
There had been no sign of the kidnappers in the longest time. They were gone, she was sure of it now. She had been made to do terrible things during that time, and she didn't want what had happened to affect how she lived her life. She needed to admit to herself that part of the reason she had been so... fucked up lately, was partly out of fear of them. Admitting they were gone, meant she could stop playing this stupid game.
She pulled herself out of the bed and stood in the middle of the room. She needed to put an end to this. The final thing she needed to do to move on, was clean up her life. Starting with her home. Moving into the kitchen she pulled out the box of garbage bags and started to clean.

Hours later, Sara stood in the middle of the living room. Looking around, she nodded. All the garbage, debris, and other crap were gone. Every room had been cleaned. With some help from the super of the building, she had taken out all the broken furniture, and all the garbage bags were gone. She had told the manager that she had been robbed and they had vandalized her home. He had wished her his most sincere apologies and left her to finish.
She just needed to paint over the graffiti and she would be finished. Which meant a trip to the store. And she also needed some new food, both for herself and the dog. For the thousandth time, she wished she had a car. She would also need new furniture, with most of it all having been destroyed. But maybe for today she was done. Moving into the kitchen she picked up her phone, having found it in another room of the house, and ordered a pizza. Ya, she was done for today. Tomorrow she would get the paint and paint the walls a cheery color...
Ya... Things were going to be ok...
