Bloody hell. This? Again?
Aurora was browsing once again through the sterile...mostly...hallways. Too bad that blasted smell always got to her senses. Normally, people had eyes to look around and see the life, but this...this was just bad. This place felt and smelled absolutely lifeless, even though the noises of all the machines and people moving in and out would tell her otherwise. However, she was not here to take in tour of the hospital she already knew...she was here to visit one Sara Quinn, who but a day earlier had her kneecap completely and utterly shattered.
Now...she was probably very aggro.
Thirteen reached her room, tapping her foot once to make sure she was inside. This specific room was in the orthopedics department, with a rather nice gymnasium just across the hallway. Now, the only problem was going to be trying to talk to her...Crazy Sara was crazy after all...at least...just a little bit out of it. Now...attempt number one.
Aurora held her breath and walked inside to see her in bed.
"You doing alright dear?"

Sara floated peacefully through some sort of oblivion. She didn't know if time was going slower or faster, and frankly? It didn't matter. She didn't feel the need to worry or think about anything in the darkness. So she just relaxed. Enjoyed the ride while she could. Nothing really went through her mind. Nothing of importance at least.
What brought her back was a dull throb. It started in her lower body, crashing through her dark oblivion with every beat of her pulse. At first it was bearable, but it slowly became worse. Feeling came back to her body and she could clench her fists, her face contorting as she gritted her teeth, pulling herself from the sleep.
Her eyes opened, blinking in the soft light. She shifted and her legs, her left knee exploding in pain. She gasped, arching her back as she sat up in shock. Her head pounded in ways it had never pounded before. Looking around she realized she was in a hospital. But she didn't really care. Her whole body felt kind of floaty and loose despite the pain. Which... now that she thought about it, wasn't to bad... She laid back down, wiping the sweat from her face.
At the moment, she was alone. This left her to her thoughts as she tried to remember what had happened. It came back to her in bits and pieces and her annoyance and fear grew. How the hell could it have gone so wrong? She wondered what exactly was wrong with her, and how long it was going to take her to get back to work. This threw everything off schedule. She was supposed to be working with Gabriel now. This was going to put things out of order. And she hated when things weren't in order.
She dozed on and off, taking the chance of being in a crowded hospital to rest. She guessed they had her on some sort of medication. But it was wearing off, leaving her feeling sick and drained, sweat running over skin as she worked through the increasing pain. She felt safe here though. Laying there with her eyes closed she heard a soft tap at the door, and figuring it to be a doctor, she ignored it. Finally, some drugs... Until it spoke.
"You doing alright dear?"
Her eyes opened and she turned to look at the girl who had come to her room. Her gaze hardened and she looked away, staring at the ceiling. "Of course I'm ok."
And then it hit her. All of it. It all made sense. She closed her eyes, chasing the thoughts away, hoping it wouldn't show on her face. Oh wait. The girl was blind. Sara let out a laugh, unable to stop herself, and it turned into a cough as pain shot up her leg. "What happened to my knee?" She winced. "I want more drugs... Now..." Her voice was a threat. She would follow through with it if she didn't get more drugs. And soon.

Hmmm, first response was anger, some resentment. It was quite obvious that Thirteen wasn't welcome here. But, unfortunately for Sara, Aurora was staying. If she didn't want to talk, that was okay, but the girl that came for her was too nice to leave. Hell, she'd even brought a daffodil to place in the vase for Sara...a beautiful yellow, even if Sara didn't care about her...she cared about those that...well. Yeah.
"That oaf Mr. Orange decided to step on it...you were delirious and tried to pick a fight while you were severely injured...so I pinned you down. Let's just say you weren't happy."
Aurora managed to find a seat and sit down as Sara went through her threats. She was after the timeframe for Aurora's prediction, and it appeared, once again, that it had come through. The future was awkward, but so very awesome like that. But now...this girl, she was...well. Crazy Sara was crazy. Simple as that.
"I'm not the doctor...the vicodin will have to come from elsewhere."
She spoke the truth on that.
"I might have saved your life Sara, and now all you could think about is the drugs? Not what you were trying to accomplish by attacking a school board member? Or is this about the kidnapping?"

Although her face hardened dramatically, Sara listened to what Thirteen was telling her. Her eyes followed her as she found a seat. There was no way Sara was going to tell her where to find one. Wasn't it obvious she didn't want visitors right now? But Sara remembered that though... She had attacked the guy in orange without a second thought. Then her qi hadn't worked... From there it was hazy, but she remembered the injury to the knee... Or the pain of it at least. At least she was telling Sara the truth. She snorted. Of course she hadn't been happy. Until she had the drugs...
And the drugs... Shit... She just wanted to get some more drugs to stop her leg from hurting. You know... she might just understand where House was coming from at this point. She could feel the addiction of the root already kicking in, the withdrawal coursing through her system. It was probably why the leg was hurting so much this early. Sara was going to need to be extremely careful from this point on if she wanted her leg to heal properly. There would be no using her leg until it was done. She wasn't taking chances. Not with her mission on the line...
As Thirteen spoke next, Sara froze. Before all this had happened, back when she utterly oblivious to the plague of the gangs, she would have felt indignation, anger, embarrassment about the girls next few sentences. But now? Nothing. Nothing but a sick craving for more... More what? She didn't know. More knowledge, more fights, more drugs, more power... Greed. She was greedy now. And quite happy with it.
She laughed loudly. "What do you know about the kidnapping? You can't possibly think for a second that you know what my motives are. Now. I want more drugs." A sick smile was plastered on her face, and if Thirteen could see it, she probably wouldn't still be in the room. "And if I don't get them... You're going to meet a very unhappy Sara..."
And although she laughed, she felt a pang of fear as she swallowed hard. "How much do you know about the kidnapping?" Her words dripped with venom. If this girl knew what she had been made to do... If she knew what they had done in that place to her... Sara looked back up the ceiling, the sick smile still on her face. Well Sara would just have to kill her then <3

"Obviously the motives weren't yours if you were kidnapped. That's the whole point of a kidnapping...to go against your will."
Thirteen picked out a package of Starburst from her pocket and opened it, plucking a chewy cherry candy out of its own individualized package. She munched down on it and tossed one to Sara as well. Sugary sweets...probably not good for her at this time, but maybe it would take her mind off the addiction.
"I know what you're after...the gangs, you're becoming a killer, you were trained to destroy, to harm. You were tortured, they broke you, and now you're willing to do the most horrible of things. I don't need to make you unhappy. You're already there."
Thirteen took another Starburst. These things were rather tasty weren't they? The only thing she wished at the time was that Sara's voice was a little more friendly, but hey, that could wait. Thirteen had in fact probably gone a little harsh on her, but hey, it was for her own good wasn't it?

"Pfft... What do you know..." Sara felt the small candy land on her and she picked it up, eying it. "I said I wanted pain killers, not fucking candy." Still though, she unwrapped the small sweet and popped it into her mouth, sucking on it before she chewed it. These things always got stuck in her teeth. This sucked, and on top of that, he mouth didn't seem to want to work properly so she was really glad at the moment that the girl was blind and couldn't see her trying to nom this STUPID piece of candy D<
She chewed in silence... relative silence with the slurping of her trying to eat the damn thing, and then looked over at the girl. She couldn't bring herself to freak out at her. There was so much she wanted to do to the girl, most of it ending with her death, but... Something about her... Sara thought back to their first meeting, with the warning she had given her. She was right. That was what Sara hated. She had been right then, and she was right now.
Sara tried to think about whether she was happy or not. She couldn't tell. She didn't really know either way. More it didn't matter. Or... She just wasn't feeling any positive emotions at all. What was considered happiness was more... Pride. Even the excitement was a negative sort of emotion. She ran her hands over her face, pissed off that she couldn't just walk away from the small girl sitting next to her. She didn't want to think about this. It hurt her head. She wasn't supposed to be thinking so deeply about these things. She was just supposed to do her job, and get the hell out. Then she smiled as the revelation hit her. It didn't matter if she was happy. What mattered was that she was enjoying herself. Maybe not enjoying herself right at the moment, lying in bed with a shattered knee, but enjoying the prospect of the life she would be living.
"How do you know I'm not happy? Do you have any idea what it feels like to... to hurt them?" Her voice was quiet, awed. She looked at her hands, admiring them. The things they had done... The rush of adrenaline through her veins, the smell of death.
She smiled at the girl, and then leaned over quickly grabbing onto the edge of the bed to turn herself, ignoring the huge stab of pain in her leg and grabbed the girls wrist, pulling her closer to Sara. "How do you know?!" Her voice was excited, happy... and crazy. Her eyes were wild. It didn't matter! What mattered was that she would be powerful. She would bring down the gangs and the pillars, and then maybe even the school board!! Who needed it anyways!?
She let go of the girl and leaned back. "Now either help me get the fuck out of here, or get me some more drugs."

"A lot more than you apparently. And sugar is the best I have. Do I look like a pharmacist?"
Oh yes, here came the sarcasm, the cynical torture. Sara couldn't escape it, and there was nothing she could do about it. If she tried to make a move for Aurora, not only was she faster, but the sheer strain of moving her leg at all would send her into some painful shock. She was not in a position to talk much whatsoever. However much she wanted wanted to.
"I don't but I know what it's like to hurt you...and believe me, it sucks."
Sara was nice, somewhere, deep down. Really deep down. You know, at the bottom of the Marianas Trench deep. But it was there, and if Thirteen would go looking for it, maybe she could get to it. Maybe, but it wasn't really likely was it? Oh well. She was here, and if Aurora didn't get killed in her sleep, she might decide to try again after her surgery.
"Don't you remember I read the future Sara? I also read the past, and I can see yours. That's why. Nobody told me, but based on your reaction, you confirmed it pretty well. And I'm not leaving, and I'm not drugging you. Live with it."

Sara continued to lay there smiling as though she hadn't heard the girl next to her, not caring what she had to say. What she knew or didn't know didn't matter. Not one bit. Sara didn't care. Just didn't care. Simple as that. She had learned to look out for herself and only for herself. She didn't need to the distraction or anything of friends, of caring for people. Not right now. She had yet to approach even her closest friends since coming back. And she was fine with that. Preferred it that way. The smile fell. They didn't need to see her like this.
Her expression turned serious. "You need to stay the hell outta my past and future. It's none of your business. I happen to appreciate what happened to me. It was a good thing. I'll be forever thankful to him... It was my choice to stay when they offered to let me go..." That right there should sum it all up for the girl. Sara had not been brainwashed or anything. This was her choice. It was her choice to go through with all this. She enjoyed this.
Sara was becoming more and more aware of the pain in her knee as the drugs wore off. Her head was beginning to spin, her heart beat becoming erratic as her body tried to soak up the last of the high. She needed more drugs. And soon. "Where the hell is that doctor?!" she suddenly growled out. He needed to get his ass in here and dope her up some more.
She sighed, running her hands over her face. When she spoke, her voice was annoyed, agitated. "Why the hell are you here anyways?" Sara didn't exactly want to be left alone here, but why the fuck was she still here?! What did she want? Seriously, the girl had a fucking death wish, or she liked verbal abuse or something. Sara was in mood for this. Not right now. Not ever.

Aurora was listening to everything she possibly had to say. Sadly, it sounded as if she was still delusional, and lost to the world. After what she had to go through, it made a lot of sense. Thirteen would probably be a little delusional too if she was tortured with knives, weapons, baseball bats, and whatever it might be. Ouch. Baseball bats...did Sara get Barry Bond'ed?
"It's my business if I saved your life Sara. If I didn't think you were worth a damn, do you think I would have made the effort?"
As nice as Thirteen was, she could also be quite cold and calculating...at least to those that she cared about. Sara was one that she cared about...at least, the one that was deep down inside. Granted it was unlikely she'd be able to do anything...but after getting beaten a few times, maybe shot, she'd probably get the picture pretty quickly.
"I'm here...because you're miserable. Simple really. I don't just save someones life and take it as a small deal even if you're the eviliest person in the world, it doesn't feel good that even one person decides to give a crap? Hm?
Sure! Smile...it always made things better. Usually. xD

Sara glared. Bitch thought she was smart eh? Saved Sara's life... Pfft. "I don't need you to give a crap. Does it seem like i need sympathy? I could have gotten out of there just fine..." Sara didn't actually know this for a fact, as it stood, she couldn't quite remember what had happened after the knee. Sara turned her head away pouting. Yes, pouting. She was laid up in a hospital bead with a blind girl who claimed to have saved her life. She could damn well pout if she pleased.
After what she had been through, she didn't need anyone to care. It didn't matter. Yes, it was nice to know someone cared. Someone was sitting next to her bed. She was alone. Completely alone. And that sucked. It was nice to have someone here. But that didn't mean that the addition or lack of someone sitting at her bedside made much of a difference to her at the moment. Everything would still be all the same if she wasn't here, except that she would be resting in silence.
"What are they going to do about my knee? How long till I get the hell out of here?" She was a little afraid of this answer. An injury right now wasn't good. It would put her behind. Behind what, she didn't know, but she wouldn't be able to start fighting immediately like she had planned to. It would have to wait. Which sucked. How was she supposed to tell Gabriel she had done this to her knee? Dammit... Why did it always have to be so hard to do your job?

"I don't care if you need symapthy, and you crawling out while you were unconscious? Hardly. I COULD have left you there. If you so wish, next time there's a riot, I will."
Thirteen didn't have the capability at the moment to lie to Sara. She could, and would leave her to die next time if she so chose. She could pout all she wanted too...it wouldn't do much good. There wasn't any humility it appeared left in this one. All of a sudden, Sara's life didn't mean much to Thirteen. Cold as it was, but until she could fix her utterly self-destructive attitude, there wasn't much to say.
"As far as I know, they are going to put in a plate tonight, and you'll be working again in about a week."
That was a pessimistic assumption. Sara was a fighter, and would likely be on her feet much quicker. Hell, she'd be using that metal plate to bash in faces most likely. Or...take on the pillars and the gangs to uproot the schools government.
"Look, I know what's going to happen. You guys are going after the pillars and such. I know you need a knee for it, but don't do anything stupid...like attack school board members without backup alright?"
Not that she condoned it...but this was how she remained a neutral party in the whole mess. Sadly...this whole situation was going to get worse in the future, and something told Thirteen, Sara wasn't listening too well.

Sara turned her head slowly towards the girl. Her eyes were suspicious and hurt. Her moods were all over the place. She couldn't control her emotions at the particular moment. She had gone through anger, hysteria, hate, fear, even happiness, all in a matter of a few moments. Now...? Sara just felt tired. Really tired. Like she wanted to sleep forever and not wake up. "A plate..." She sighed, closing her eyes and sinking into the bed. The fact that Thirteen knew about the plans to go after the pillars really worried Sara. More then she was willing to let on. "And that'll fix my leg? You really know what happened? When they took me? You know what they made me do?"
Sara rubbed her hands over her face, not sure that she wanted to know the answer. It was hard... really hard. She didn't want to care. She had been kidnapped in the first place because she was weak and she had become close to the right people. She had been chosen to be the one to be kidnapped because she was friends with certain people. She was now supposed to hurt those certain people. She couldn't bring herself to care. It was to much. She tried to harden her emotions to it, but the girl sitting in front of her... Thirteen made Sara feel small and ugly. It actually made Sara feel bad that she might not like her right now. What the hell was that about? "Why the hell me...? Of all the people... Fuck..."
OK... Moment of weakness over. Before she could cry, Sara's hand struck out, grabbing the lamp off the table next to her bed and she whipped it at Thirteen. She would understand right? Sara wasn't in her right mind D: She didn't mean it.. She just... Couldn't control herself...

"I wish I didn't. But I do."
Yeah, unlike a future, a past was absolute...there was no changing it after it was said and done, unless you were a true time traveler, but to her knowledge, no one like that existed yet. Sara's knee was being replaced by a metal plate, which wasn't too bad really; it'd be a short recovery time for her. Girl was a fighter...
Seriously.
Just about that moment, time went into overdrive, and after two weeks of forgetting to write in this thread, Thirteen caught a burst of movement. Her internal alarm went off, screaming evasive action! Incoming Lamp! Aurora ducked and the lamp promptly met and destroyed the window behind her, letting in a nasty breeze.
"Careful. You might catch a cold."
She looked out the window to see nothing once, then got from her seat.
"You'll be fine, just have a rest, and try not to kill anyone."
