Adrian held the girl, letting out a sigh of contentedness. He saw the bodyguards scatter and look about, probably uncomfortable with the situation. He felt bad for them, truly he did, but, when put up against holding Kate in his arms like this, or letting go so a couple of big dudes didn't feel awkward, he was gonna choose the former every time.
"Well, I guess that's a chance you could always take," Adrian smirked as he spoke, finally releasing her after a long while. The bodyguards, somehow sensing the intimate moment had ended, returned to their usual selves, keeping eyes on doors, windows, and especially the broken window still in pieces on the floor off to the side.
"Well," Adrian said, looking around at the suited men, and pursing his lips a bit in wonderment. "Are you, um... still planning on going home?"
He spoke in kind of a weird voice. He didn't really know he felt about that plan, after all. If she wanted to, he would no longer stop her, as he felt things had finally been mended at least somewhat between them. Of course, he'd prefer she stayed all day, all night, forever, but that was probably out of the question. After all, her bodyguards were here, and they would likely be getting fidgety themselves before too long. Regardless, he shook it off, smiling at her, as if it was just another question to ask.
