"I'm not used to this..." (Ryuu) [Mature]

For a brief moment, Ryuu looked taken aback, since he hadn't honestly expected Emily to be okay with him staying over. "Ah, then lead the way, and I'll see if I can get them down for you." He stood up and followed after Emily like a love-sick puppy as she continued to cling onto the pillow like her life depended on it. "Thanks... I'm glad you're okay with me staying, even though it was pretty much an unplanned decision." Ryuu replied, as he shoved his hands into his pockets and followed behind Emily, towering over her slightly. "I'm pretty sure you do live alone, considering there's no one else here but the two of us. Well, if you ever need someone to live with, just let me know and I'll stay with you I'll try to help, if you want." Ryuu smiled, as she led him to the stairs. He noticed there wasn't much decoration beyond the first floor, but then again, Emily lived alone, who would she try to impress anyways? Ryuu only came to her house when he felt like seeing her, or she needed his help.

He followed her into the hallway, and saw there were two doors, one on each side of the wall. He leaned forward slightly, his head hovering near her shoulder, placing him almost at the same height as her, as he saw her point at the door on the left, he straightened up as she opened the door on the right, which was her room. He looked behind him at the door across from Emily's, which led to his room for the night, before facing forward once more, as he followed Emily into her room. The minute he walked in, he smiled slightly, her room looked exactly like a typical girl's room, there were drawers, closets, a clean bed, and lots of drawings tacked up on one of her walls. He wandered over to the wall, and took a closer look at the drawings, before noticing the piles of manga she had on a bookshelf, next to it were medical books, located on another bookshelf. Ryuu smiled, come to think of it, Emily had never actually seen Ryuu's room yet, only the inside of his house.

He saw her stop in front of one of the bookshelves, as he looked up at the top of the bookshelf, and saw a box on top that was labeled, "Rem." "Let me take care of that." Ryuu replied, as he walked over to Emily, and reaching up, he easily grabbed the box with both hands, before lowering it down onto the ground. "There we go. Got anything else you need me to take down?" He teased, poking a bit of fun at Emily, as he laughed playfully. He then bent down, and pulled the cover of the box off, revealing Rem's old clothes inside it. Ryuu shifted through the clothes, before finding a t-shirt and pair of shorts that looked like they would fit him. "Hmm... I think these will do. If you don't mind, can I use your shower? You weren't the only one drenched in the lemonade." Ryuu asked, as he placed the cover back on the box, before putting it back up on top of the bookshelf. If she let him use the shower, he opened the door and went into his temporary room, leaving the clothes on the bed, and asked for a towel, before heading to the bathroom, as he closed the door behind him quietly.

Emily chuckled. There were things that were borderline insane, especially for a girl like Emily to live alone. It required not only a lot of effort to sustain herself financially, it was more of also requiring the self-discipline to resist against buying things that she wouldn't really want as much or need - a trait rarely found amongst teenagers their age. Emily didn't mind Ryuu staying at all. For one, she loved him, second, she didn't think he'd pull anything funny.

Not yet at least.

"I'm pretty sure you do live alone, considering there's no one else here but the two of us. Well, if you ever need someone to live with, just let me know and I'll stay with you I'll try to help, if you want."

Emily looked behind her back and smiled as Ryuu said that. "I do live alone. Haven't lived with anyone for a long while either. So I'm pretty much used to it, I guess." She said, "Well, it would help a lot with expenses if I could find someone to live with - not easy to have a house and live in it alone. It makes me miss my apartment at 259 a bit."

Emily then led him to her room, where the box was on top of one of her bookshelves. Ryuu took it down and found clothes he wished to use.

"Hmm... I think these will do. If you don't mind, can I use your shower? You weren't the only one drenched in the lemonade." Emily nodded.

"There's a shower on your room. You can put your clothes on my bed when you're done. I'll wash them tonight for you." She laughed, heading to her drawers to pick up her pajamas as well. "I guess I should shower too. It's a hot night."

Emily would then wait until Ryuu left before pulling her clothes out of the drawer - a rather loose light green cotton shirt and white short shorts, and headed out into her bathroom.

Like some women, Emily decided to take her time. She was quite vain, after all. Give or take, around 45 minutes. She had a tub though, so she let herself soak a bit before the shower.... But we'll leave it at that. As soon as she finished, she would leave the bathroom, quite relaxed as she dried her hair with a towel in front of a vanity mirror beside the bedroom window. Should Ryuu come in, he would find her giving great attention to her hair, drying it and brushing the entirety of the length carefully. It wasn't often she let her hair down nowadays, considering she braided her hair or put it up very often. Her hair was now slightly wavy, due to that very reason.

So at least, this was new.

Ryuu nodded, and turning around, headed into his temporary room, placing his clothes on the bed, and headed into the bathroom. He then stripped his clothes off and stepped into the shower, washing his hair and body. He let the powerful jets massage his back, and turned the water off, and grabbed his towel, drying himself off. He then dried his hair, as he slicked his wet front hair back, revealing his gray eyes underneath. He then wrapped the towel around him, and walked back into his room, and pulled on the shorts, but left the shirt on the bed, it was quite a hot night, and also very humid. His dirty clothes in his hand, the towel hanging around his neck, Ryuu walked out of his room, and knocked softly on Emily's door, to let her know he was coming in, before stepping into her room. Unlike Emily, who took 45 minutes for her shower and bath, Ryuu had taken about 15 minutes or so. Yeah, it was still long for a guy, but who honestly cared right? As long as he was clean, Ryuu didn't care how long he took.

Closing the door slightly behind him, beads of water clinging to his chest, Ryuu looked around, before seeing Emily standing in front of the mirror located beside the bedroom window, drying and brushing her long hair very carefully. Ryuu wasn't used to seeing her hair down like that, he was used to seeing her hair braided or put up, he noticed her hair was slightly wavy currently, so this was new. He walked over to where she was, before sitting down on her bed, holding his clothes in his hands, he didn't want to place his juice covered clothes directly on her bed, since he didn't want to get the comforter sticky from the juice. "I haven't seen you with your hair down before," He commented, smiling at her, "You look nice with it down." His hair drying rather quickly from the humidity, Ryuu's hair would stay slicked back, not unless he felt like slicking his hair back down. "I think this is the first time... I've ever stayed over at someone's place before..." He said quietly, having been tutored most of his life, he hadn't really had the chance to stay over at any of his friends, or anyone's place for that matter, when you think about it. Nice childhood eh...

Emily looked back as soon as she heard noises from the door. Ah, Ryuu was done? Well, Emily expected that - after all, she was full aware that she took a while to finish bathing. "I haven't seen you with your hair down before," He commented, clothes still in hand as he sat on her bed, "You look nice with it down."

Emily blushed, looking away - but not without a smile on her face. "Um, thanks." The blush wasn't just because of that, but mostly it was because she noticed that Ryuu had nothing on but a pair of shorts. The white-haired girl wanted to slap herself for being so embarrassed - she saw much worse things at the hospital and she was fine. Seeing Ryuu like this though made her heart beat faster.

Emily ran her fingers through her now-dry hair, checking for tangles. The good thing about using fragrance oils is that they do good for the hair as well, making it soft. Well, Emily was vain like that.

"I think this is the first time... I've ever stayed over at someone's place before..." Emily looked at Ryuu and smiled, "Mm, this is the first time I have a guy in my room, if that counts as something." She then chuckled, hoping to lighten the mood. It seemed a bit somber for a moment there. "But really, if you need another place to stay you can always stay here with me anytime you want."

In fact, she kind of wanted it. After all, Emily had more or less lived alone for more than 5 years already - that was quite a lonely life. Though there were several people she had lived with for a very small time frame, like Miria and Rem (who eventually left for Delilah's place) but things never really were that stable for Emily.

Smiling again, Emily moved over, sitting right next to Ryuu and leaned against him, her head on his shoulder, and her hand holding his.

"Mmm... maybe we should do homework."

"Um... You're welcome..." Ryuu replied, as he rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment, looking the opposite way for a little while, before turning his head back as he saw her run her fingers through her hair, probably checking for tangles, something that Ryuu didn't have to worry about, his hair was slightly short after all. "I am greatly honored to be the first guy in your room... Or something like that." He said, bowing teasingly to her as he chuckled, the mood lightening up once more. "I'd like that a lot..." He said softly, smiling at her. Truth be told, he thought about moving out of his father's house one day, he just never thought of when exactly. He knew it would be sooner or later, but never sooner. After all, he was still in high school, and it was still nice to be able to use the dojo his father had built specifically for him to use. Though he was considered a legal adult now, so he could move out any time he wished.

He returned her smile as she moved over and sat down right beside him, leaning against him, her head resting on his shoulder, and her hand holding his. "Sure... but I feel so comfortable right now, I'm not sure I even want to move." Ryuu laughed, as he slowly stood up, his clothes still in his other hand, as he released Emily's hand to go hang his towel that had been hanging around his neck in his room, then led the way back downstairs. He would then deposit his clothes in Emily's washing machine, before coming back into the living room, sitting back down at the wooden table, crossing his legs. "So, where were we?" He asked, as he looked at Emily, smiling at her, it was getting quite late, but then again, it's not either of them really cared about what time it was right now. There were more important things to worry about. Like if they would ever get past first base!

Yeah, come to think of it - it really was an honor for Ryuu to be in her room. Emily had never really allowed much people inside her room before. She let David in a while back on her old apartment, but that was to see the shrine. Ryuu on the other hand, was allowed in because she wanted him to be inside.

But of course, she wasn't aware of exactly why. But none the less, Emily and Ryuu left the room and headed back downstairs to where the books were, just where they left them. Emily took the seat she had earlier after placing her clothes by the washing machine, quite happy that she didn't have to cover herself anymore. Thing was, could Ryuu erase that thought from his mind?

Especially when he's in his girlfriend's house, alone, basically with access to every single room?

Emily of course, knew this bit. It was like she was inviting him over for something a bit more. Not like she was against it, she loved him and all.

She blanked out for a while, staring at the paper - blushing, as her thoughts wandered onto what could happen, her thoughts tingling her senses and increasing her heart rate to disturbing heights.

That thought where her mind wandered how it felt to have his warm hands wander to... other places. Emily probably wasn't completely innocent after all.

It was so that she didn't notice Ryuu's question. "So, where were we?"

Emily blinked and snapped out of her thoughts, blushing. Was she just caught daydreaming? "Um... sorry, I was thinking of something. Yeah, we can uh... wait." She then pulled her blushing face onto a book, looking for where they stopped. "Y-your homework's last topic is about the male and female sexual response cycle right?" She began to look at her own book as well. "... I just have ten more questions and then I think I'm done."

Ryuu was busy looking at his textbook, trying to figure it out to finish his homework, as he furrowed his eyebrows. But after a while, his mind started to wander, as his eyes went blank while he stared at the textbook, not taking in a single word of writing. It was hard to believe that in the entire house, it was just the two of them, all alone. It basically screamed, they could do whatever they wanted, and no one would be none the wiser. Ryuu knew this however, he wasn't a complete idiot. Just thinking about it, made Ryuu blush furiously, his heart beating so fast, he felt like he had swallowed an entire pack of Mountain Dews and a box of candy. He started to wonder, what it would feel like, if the two of them would go beyond just kissing each other. Looks like Ryuu was just as equally innocent as Emily was. Snapping out of his thoughts, he continued to blush as he asked Emily where they had left off, except it seemed she had been daydreaming just like he had been a couple minutes ago.

He saw her blink, a blush clearly visible on her face, now he definitely knew she didn't notice his question. "Mmm hmm." He replied, the blush on his own face still visible, after she had pulled his textbook towards her, looking for where they had left off, though it looked more like she was trying to hide her blush from him. He leaned over, to look at her textbook and the questions she had left. "Ah, that's not too bad. If you need help, just let me know. I think I'll be able to finish off the rest of my homework now." Ryuu then spent the next 10 minutes or so, in silence, except for the few times when he had to ask Emily for help on some of the questions. By the time he finished, it was already quite late. He yawned and stretched his arms above him, his chest and arm muscles clearly visible. "Done... Finally. I'll be glad when exams are finally over..." He said, as he lowered his arms down, and gave Emily a smile. "It's weird... Even though my brain is drained... I don't feel exhausted. Um... do you want to watch a movie with me...? Or would you rather go to sleep...?"

The next hour or so was a bit awkward and filled with a bit of sexual tension.

Two teenagers, barely dressed, together in a room? Seriously, Lloyd and Marianne someone up there must be having a lot of fun playing with them. The night was quiet, and of course - there were the occasional questions and Emily being insecure again (more like asking for an excuse to look at him) and asking Ryuu to check her solutions.

Emily finished just a minute soon after Ryuu, and laid her head right at the coffee table akin to what would be called as a *headdesk*, though albeit not that hard. "Yes, finally." she said, "I don't want to look at numbers for the next few days."

She opened her mouth to say more, but she fell short when she saw Ryuu basically stretching, letting her see some of his... well, assets. Emily blushed madly; gawd, was he hot.

"Done... Finally. I'll be glad when exams are finally over..."

Emily chuckled, "Don't we all?" He then lowered his arms, but the image was quite plastered in Emily's mind. Yes, she did have a thing for guys who were strong, smart, and caring. Quite a rare find, though Emily wasn't so sure about herself. Her own poor self-image and sense of self-worth made her think that she was no more than ordinary, when in truth - she could very well be one of the prettiest girls in school.

One of the many, since the school was loaded with them.

"It's weird... Even though my brain is drained... I don't feel exhausted. Um... do you want to watch a movie with me...? Or would you rather go to sleep...?"

Now that was a difficult question. Emily didn't feel exhausted right now, in fact - she felt exhilarated. as to why, she had a hunch it had something to do with being aroused. Maybe it was the nature of Ryuu's homework that stirred up her own set of hormones, or maybe - God forbid, Ryuu himself?

Sitting up straight, Emily then began to speak in an attempt to have her mind stray from the thought of "being aroused". "Sure. I don't have much good movies here though..." She said, "I have the entire Star Wars series though... and... some DVDs of several good Medical Dramas I got from Layla - House M.D., was one. It's quite good."

Oh god, wasn't that the Drama that had a sex scene at the 3rd episode?!

Ryuu breathe a sigh of relief, he had finally finished his Biology homework, and about a minute later, Emily had finished her Math homework as well. He stretched his arms above his head, as he heard his joints crack from keeping them in the same position for so long. He stared at the ceiling for a few minutes, as he noticed Emily blushing madly, slowly he lowered his arms, blushing just, if not equally as madly as she was. It was such a hot and humid night, he had forgotten for a brief moment, in the the excitement of finally getting to be alone with Emily finishing his homework, that he wasn't wearing a shirt. Resting his elbow on the table, his cheek resting against his partially curled hand, Ryuu saw Emily straighten up, as he lifted his cheek off his hand, looking at her in mild curiosity, though the blush on his face was still there. "Sure, House M.D. sounds good to me." He replied, as he got up, and held his hand out to Emily, to help her up. If she took his hand, he would gently pull her up, and led the way to where her TV was.

He then crashed onto the couch, resting his elbow on the armrest, his chin cradled in the palm of his left hand, as he leaned back comfortably against the backrest of the couch. Once Emily had placed the DVD in and joined in sitting down on the couch beside him, he would lift his right arm and wrapped it around her, pulling her close to him, if she wanted, she could rest her head on his shoulder or chest or anywhere she wanted really. The entire room would more than likely be dark, since all the lights would be turned off, and the only source of light coming from the TV. They could do whatever they wanted, and no one would be able to see. "It really has been awhile... Since the two of us got to spend time alone with each other, hasn't it?" He said softly, looking at Emily and giving her a gentle smile. At this rate, the movie would be the last thing on either of their minds...

"Sure, House M.D. sounds good to me."

Nothing like a good medical drama to get things kicking, hmm? Well, Emily was quite excited. Why? She loved these sort of shows. She quickly fixed the DVD player up and set it to play from the first episode onwards. There were three episodes in each DVD, so at least it should be enough, right?

After it started playing, Emily shut the lights and headed off to the seat right next to Ryuu. She didn't exactly expect him to pull her closer, as she was not used to that sort of affectionate gesture, but just smiled and leaned her head against his shoulder - just like what she did earlier.

"It really has been awhile... Since the two of us got to spend time alone with each other, hasn't it?"

Emily nodded, and if it wasn't so dark at the moment - her face would be a bright tinge of pinkish-red. She wasn't so sure what to feel at this point, "Mmm, yeah." She said, "It's one of the reasons I wanted you to stay for the night, actually. We haven't really had much time since that thing with the hotel and all."

She then laughed softly, snuggling closer to Ryuu. Ah, It wasn't easy trying to keep herself in control, especially when she's full aware of what her body's going through at the moment. Right now, she just wanted to watch this with Ryuu.

The first two episodes had Emily all excited. For one - it really made her sound so geeky by being able to name things that the doctors on the show were doing, explaining medical terms and condition - it was either she was really good at what she does, or she didn't have a life or watched this over and over again, which was unlikely considering her schedule. She only had been able to watch this show once or twice.

Everything went quite well, until that episode came.

"Occams Razor"

Emily slightly froze, blushing madly and looking away as the first part of the episode began. Not exactly really... um... helpful, was it?

"Oh dear." She said, "They're having it rough."

A laugh.

... Nope, doesn't help at all!

Ryuu returned her smile, even though the room was almost entirely dark, the only source of light coming from the TV. He shifted slightly as Emily leaned her head against his shoulder once more, getting into a more comfortable position. "Yeah... We hadn't. I missed spending time with you... I'm glad I get to spend the night, because I wouldn't want to spend it with anyone else but you..." He said softly, before kissing the top of her forehead as he felt her snuggle closer to him. It wasn't easy for Ryuu to keep himself in check too, seeing as he knew what his body was going through at the moment. But despite that, he really just wanted to spend as much as time as he could with Emily, and watch the DVD. Ryuu couldn't help but chuckle lightly at how excited Emily was as soon as the first two episodes started. Even though it made her sound geeky by being able to name and explain all the actions the doctors were doing on the show, the medical terms and condition, that didn't matter to him, all that mattered to him that Emily was having fun.

Though the minute the beginning of the third episode began, Ryuu felt Emily freeze slightly, as he began to blush furiously, as he looked in the opposite way that Emily was currently facing. The sounds coming from the TV weren't exactly helping either. "Ahahaha... Yeah... that's real rough for the both of them alright..." Ryuu laughed nervously, still facing away from the TV. Only when the main theme song came on, did Ryuu finally turn back to face the TV. About halfway through the episode, Ryuu's exhaustion finally caught up to him, as he felt himself start to get sleepy. He yawned widely, but continued to watch the episode until it was finished. Ryuu looked down at Emily, but couldn't tell in the darkness if she was asleep or not. If she was, he would gently shift her, as he stood up, and gently laid her down on the couch. He would then go to the TV, and take the DVD out, and place it back in the case, before switching the TV off. He then lift Emily up in his arms, letting her head rest against his shoulder, before heading back upstairs.

Once he reached the door to her room, he'd push the door open with his foot and go into her room. He quietly walked to Emily’s bed, pulled back the comforter, and placed her down gently on the bed. He then pulled the comforter over her, and looked down at her, smiling gently. He then turned around, and headed to the door, but stopped instantly, as he felt a tug.“?”

The one thing Emily was known for amongst her friends, was her insane amount of curiosity. Though helpful in her desired field, it was also a double-edged sword. Sometimes, her own interests made her become slightly obsessive to a point where she overworks and/or thinks of things a bit too much.

The entire episode kept mentioning the dreaded act of sex and it didn't help Emily's mind a bit. Her mind did not stay on the episode very long, and of course - in deep thought, Emily might have dozed off somewhere after the diagnosis.

Mostly fatigue - part physical, part mental. She woke up again when Ryuu went to close the DVD player and the TV, and decided against notifying him that she was awake. It felt nice to be carried like this. To be close to Ryuu the way she and he were right now. She took a whiff of his scent, and more or less decided on something that moment.

No, it wasn't due to Pheremones, Lloyd.

She waited until he put her down on her bed, before grabbing him by the arm. Her eyes were open, but still quite visible on the moonlit room.

"Ryuu." She said, blushing. "May I ask you s-s-something?"

Oh boy.

"... a-are... you physically attracted to me?"

Yeah.

Some girls have that sort of insecurity on them, mostly those whom are quite vain - Emily included. Emily knew little of this sort of things, and how to deal with them. What? She was quite young, and if anything - the only experience she had close to something like this was that night with David.

That night where she said no.

Emily was like any other typical girl, who wanted her first time to be special and meaningful. Not that she was thinking Ryuu wouldn't be that person, and it wasn't that she thought he loved her any less - but rather, just that gap in her ego that throbs with despair.

She wondered if he ever had fantasies of her doing things with him. You know, those sort of things.

Not surprising, considering how many passionate kisses they've already shared over the past few weeks.

"... I... just want to know." She said, letting him go. "You don't have to answer if you don't want to, I'm sorry."

Ryuu was seeing something rare here. Emily was usually headstrong, idealistic, courageous and somewhat stubborn - but now it almost as if she was purposely hiding in a shell all this time.

One could also wonder, why does she only have one mirror in the entire house?

Ryuu turned his head and body slightly to the side to look behind him at Emily, who had grabbed his arm, stopping him in his tracks. He could see her eyes were open and quite visible in the light from the moon that poured into her room. "Ah... sure... What is it?" He replied, a look of mild surprise on his face, before blushing furiously. "...Y-yeah..." He replied, as he felt her release his arm, letting it fall back to his side, "... I've been attracted to you ever since we first met, and started training with each other back then." Truth be told, Ryuu had always been attracted to Emily, but since this is Ryuu we're talking about, it took him a long while to finally realize his feelings for her, by which time, he and Emi had already broken up and moved on from each other. And to be honest, he did have fantasies of doing things with her, which wasn't all that surprising, considering how many passionate kisses the two of them had shared with each over the past few weeks.

"A-Are you physically attracted to me?" Ryuu asked quietly, as he sat down on her bed, and held on to her hand, keeping it warm. He was deeply in love with Emily, but like all human beings, he too was quite insecure and sometimes despaired about the feelings she had towards him. Just as it seemed like Emily had been hiding in a shell all this time, considering how she normally acted, Ryuu seemed to have lowered how he normally acted, considering how sarcastic, cynical, and headstrong he was. He then swung his legs up onto the bed, before lying down on the bed beside Emily, on top of the comforter, as he turned his head to look at her. "You're the only one I want... You should know that by now." Ryuu said, as he smiled at her, before reaching up with his free hand, and gently pulled her down towards him, before kissing her passionately, his heart beating like he was having a heart attack. He had a feeling that tonight was going to be that night. You know what I mean. Hopefully they'll get to third base, or the narrator will give up on the both of them.

"...Y-yeah... I've been attracted to you ever since we first met, and started training with each other back then."

Emily's lips feigned a small, but meaningful grin of gratitude and appreciation. Emily's gaze fell to the floor, her current expression basically hidden by Emily's silver hair.

Was this sort of the affection she had missed, when she said no to David's advances?

Mathew's?

Or even perhaps, when she clung so tightly to her feelings for "Unfettered" that she had basically shut her heart to anyone else? It was at this moment she began to think that maybe it was a good thing she left Long Beach.

Maybe.

"A-Are you physically attracted to me?"

Emily watched as Ryuu sat down next to her and held her hand, making her blush. She pulled herself closer to him, clinging onto his arm him gently. Emily was, too, in love with Ryuu.

And to think, it took her so long to realize it. I mean, those kisses that they shared before, she could've kicked his ass for it. But no.

She could've ignored Mary's plea and said no to Ryuu on that thing with that mock marriage that Mary and Taku had all set up along with their classmates.

She could've said no to Ryuu's affections, and clung onto that wavering, unrequited, but still existent feeling that she had for "Unfettered" Winters. Her love for Ryuu was slightly selfish, as part of her reason was that she wanted to move on from "Unfettered", but it was no less real. Emily knew little of these sort of things besides the things she read about on books, novels, and the things her friends told her of.

One thing was for sure though; she didn't regret accepting Ryuu the way she did. Truth is, Emily's greatest worry right now was if she would be a satisfactory girlfriend to him - considering her lack of experience with romantic relationships.

Though, maybe she would be experiencing something totally new tonight.

"Yes."

"You're the only one I want... You should know that by now."

Emily's face turned a bright red, and had little time to react before Ryuu pulled her close into one passionate kiss. She was lying stomach-down right on top of him, and it didn't take long before Emily pulled her guards down and returned to him the favor.

But as they continued to kiss, Emily's mind began to race again; questioning her own self-worth for this.
