A long sigh escaped his lips as Adrian hopped off the bus at the nearest stop, which was still a good walk away from his destination.
A lot had happened, and he barely even felt like he had been present for a lot of it.
AdrianandKate had evaporated, and were two separate identities once more. In the wake of it, the once-wealthy youngster was in no way comfortable overstaying his welcome, even if he didn't have anywhere else to go. So, he packed up what he owned, which consisted of little more than a few extra pairs of pants, shirts, and his coat, threw it into a backpack Kate was just going to have to deal with missing, and hopped onto the bus, figuring he'd find a destination sooner or later. Thankfully, the revelation had hit him sooner rather than later, and he had switched busses to ensure he landed somewhere nar his destination.
It had been a long enough journey, all the way to the outskirts of town, and an even longer walk, but here he was, long leather trenchcoat tossed over his shoulder, life in a backpack, and a look of well-hidden desperation on his face, his hand raised up to knock on the door.
When Linda answered, he hoped he didn't look too pathetic standing there like he was.

Linda was watching TV in a T.A.T.U. band shirt and Guitar hero pajama bottoms. She was all stretched out on the couch, shoving spoonfuls of Rock Road into her mouth while watching Oprah. Typical girl.
*Knock Knock Knock*
Linda hopped up, bringing her feet, covered by fuzzy pink bunny slippers, to the ground.
"Now who could that be?" She pondered for only a second or two before making her way toward the front door.
"Who is it?" She called as she continued on her way. She didn't want to open the door if it was anyone from the Mormon Church. Those fucking Mormons were always throwing a stick in her plans of remaining at home undisturbed. Really, they could go shove their bible and if it was them again... Well, Ice Cream could be used as a projectile, and Linda had pretty good aim.
Take that Holiday Nazis!

There was no immediate answer, and Adrian's face fell slightly.
Of course, she's probably not even home, Adrian thought despondantly. It would have been just his luck, too.
Until, thankfully, he heard that familiar girly voice calling out to him, asking who he was.
Oh thank God, Linda. Remind me to kiss you when you open the door.
Thinking that probably wouldn't go over well, Adrian smirked and shook his head before yelling into the door, hoping he was loud enough to soak through the heavy wooden impetus.
"Linda, it's Adrian! Can I come in, please?"

"Linda, it's Adrian! Can I come in, please?"
Linda paused for a few seconds...
"Adrian... My former roommate Adrian?!?!?" She listened to the door for a response rather than just open it. Not because she was scared, but because she was literally being that ditsy. The thought to open the door and just talk to him face to face, had not even crossed her mind. I think the ice cream and Oprah's brainwashing could be blamed for this.
Linda had not realized it, but she had accidentally dropped her ice cream when she had put both of her hands to the door, with her ear, to listen in.

If Adrian in his life would be remembered for one thing... it certainly wouldn't be patience. He didn't know what the girl's aim was, after all, if the stories he'd heard are true, she could take anyone he knew single-handedly, more than likely she could take a couple of them at a time with no trouble, so for her to actually be worried about just one guy, now that was just weird.
"Yeah, Linda, your roommate. The boyshorts guy. Do we have to dredge this up? I think your neighbors are staring at me funny!"
They weren't, not yet, but Adrian was hoping he would at least tug on the girl's sympathy strings (girls have those, right?) and get her to open the door to let him in.

"Neighbors....? Oh yeah! The people that live next door are damn creepy." Linda slowly unlocked the door, pulling back lock after lock, bolt after bolt. Adrian could probably hear the clunking sounds from outside as Linda unlocked the door. With a smile to greet him, she swung the door open.
"Come on in!" She smiled with her almost always present bubbly expression. She knew she could trust Adrian... but she wondered what brought him back here... Last she had heard, he was living with Kate.

Bolt after bolt and lock after lock slowly unlatched, and with each passing noise, it was like the gates of heaven themselves opening. When the door swung open, there, in all her ravishing glory, was Linda Osako, the Fist, clad in a T.A.T.U. shirt and cotton pajama bottoms adorned with little guitars and the Guitar Hero lego. Adrian eyed her from bottom to top, finishing with a little grin as she invited him in.
"Well don't you look cute?" he said with a smirk, totally meaning it but speaking in a teasing tone regardless.
He walked in and stumbled, barely catching himself from tripping over the fallen carton of ice cream. He looked back at her and shrugged, before looking down to see a bit of ice cream had fallen from the carton and into the carpet.
"Oh fuck," he said, half-expecting a meltdown, as he remembered the dirt escapade all those months ago. He hopped over to where the paper towels were, still remembering, and grabbed a handful, skipping back over to the mess and picking it up with the quilted quicker picker uppers. "Sorry about that, Linda," he said, somewhat sheepishly.
After that was taken care of, Adrian stood up and straightened his clothing. He was a pretty to-the-point person, and generally preferred not to beat around the bush. "So, Linda," he said, taking a quick breath to gain his composure.
"I, uh... kinda need a place to stay. I know Mathew and I were closer than you and I were, and Lord knows where he is these days, but... this is really the only place I've got. So, you still have a free bedroom?"
