Today was the day. Just a week ago, Nick had asked basically a complete stranger to move into the townhouse he lived in. To live with him. It wasn't a trick for him to swoon her, even though he made no promises to himself not to do so, but instead it was completely out of the love in his heart. Again, not that kind of love.
Anyways, Nick had woken up at a reasonable time and got ready to drive over to her place and pick up her belongings to help her move. He had spent all week finding new homes for the instruments piled up in the extra bedroom, furnishing it, and cleaning it. He checked one more time at the now inviting room, in which he had left one guitar and amp there. Nick text the number she had given him saying he'd be there in fifteen minutes and for her to be ready. He grabbed the car keys, his wallet, etc., and made his way to the shiny new leased BMW in the driveway. He got in, started up the engine, and backed out of the driveway, towards her house.
Once he found the correct address he parked, walked up to the door, and knocked, hoping she'd be the one to answer.

Today was the day!
A new home and new environment and hopefully one that she would enjoy living in. Nicolas had texted her that he would arrive at her place in approximately fifteen minutes. Luckily Leanne already had everything sorted out into her boxes. There were about six boxes that were there all labeled and sealed. One of them contained her hygiene, skin care, make-up, girly products, three others contained her clothes and shoes. The fifth and sixth contained some photoalbums, books, and other sorts of personal items.
As Leanne stacked all the boxes by the door her landlady was a little sad to see Leanne go but encouraged her to come back whenever she wanted. Soon enough the doorbell rang and Leanne opened the door revealing her newfound roomate Nicolas.
"Hey there, thanks for helping."

The door opened and there was Leanne, all ready to go. Nick smiled widely, excited that she was coming to live with him. It was going to be a challenge for Nick to stay out of her personal space because she was a girl, but Nick wouldn't let her know that. She might change her mind if she knew.
"Hi there. Um, I guess just load everything into the car..."
He pointed to the BMW behind him, parked next to the sidewalk. He smiled a little embarrassingly at the sight of the new car, but if she knew it was a lease, it would have been less impressive.

Shiny BMW.
Leanne liked beamers.
Sadly she wasn't the one that owned the car. She'd probably never get to own a car or actually get an apartment. Considering how things were turning out, it would be a surprise if she could even get into university. Sometimes she wished she were rich or at least well off enough to not worry about financial issues. Yes, there were bursaries and scholarships but they weren't always enough. Either way, Leanne was impressed by the car, after all it was a luxurious car and it had been awhile since she had felt like some sort of modern day fairytale princess. Then again, any thing was "considered" better than her farm back in Cassel.
"Hi there. Um, I guess just load everything into the car..."
"Wow." Leanne said her eyes widening a little. "Nice car, and, thanks, here can you help me take these?" Leanne said handing him a box while she took one herself.

"Uh, thanks. My father and I share it. But I rarely have to use it because I live so close to the school."
He felt he should reiterate how close he was. Leanne plopped a box in is arms. God it was heavy. Probably full of bricks... Nick liked to make stupid jokes in his head. He carried the box to his car, which he had previously popped the trunk to, and oped the trunk to its widest and placed the box in. From the looks of it, the trunk would hold three boxes and they would have to put the other three in the back seat.
One box at a time each took them three trips before the car was loaded. Nick sighed deeply.
"Alright, ready to go!?" he smiled.

Yay!
The car was loaded with a few trips back from the car to the house and vice versa. Although Leanne felt awkward having to load such a nice car with her junk in a box. Oh well, at least she'd have something look forward to once she got in the car and out of it. It was time to leave the cold basement that reminded her of a haunted house and into perhaps a nice family environment. At least, that was what she hoped for.
"Alright, ready to go!?"
"Ready!" Leanne said a little more cheerful than she intended. Was this guy some kind of energy giver or was his cheerfulness and optimism just too infectious for her cold defense mechanism to well, defend!
Leanne would get into the car once everything was set and she'd say farewell to her landlady while thanking her for her hospitality.

Nick got in the car on the drivers side as Leanne got in the passenger side. The car was packed, the new roommate was next to him, and the keys were in the ignition. Unless there was an objection, he was ready to go. He turned the key and looked at Leanne with his big dark blue eyes.
He hadn't noticed how cute she was yet. He could help but look at her for a good few seconds before snapping back to reality.
"Sorry, alright, let's get going to your new home!"
Hopefully she wouldn't have second guesses...

It wasn't until Nicolas was starting to turn her head did she notice him staring. However she shrugged it off, after all the guy was looked so freaking innocent that there's nothing to suspect, at least not too much anyways. Plus, Leanne didn't feel threatened in anyway, he was probably just too excited. After all even his excitement was rubbing off on her causing her to get a little bubbly which only happens when hell freezes over.
"Sorry, alright, let's get going to your new home!"
"Yep." Leanne said hiding the bubbly feeling inside of her. For some reason she was looking forward to this fresh start. It was a new environment and perhaps she'll finally get the feeling of family again after all this time away from her previous homes where she lived with others.

Nick put the vehicle in drive and stepped on the gas, towards their destination. Their drive would be a good fifteen minutes, so Nick had to say something to avoid an awkward, silent drive.
"So I cleaned out the room and furnished it for you. We had extra furniture laying around, so the only thing we bought was a bed. You'll be across the hall from my room if you need me, and we'll have to share the bathroom in the middle of the hall, I hope you don't mind."
He turned to her to make sure she got all of that information.

Leanne nodded. So their rooms were across from each other, which was fine. She was fine with everything as long as Nicolas would not come into her room uninvited, or into the bathroom accidentally or something, although she would lock the rooms whenever she needed privacy or anything. Leanne just hoped Nicolas wouldn't get all awkward and stuff to fine, er, feminine hygiene products in the bathroom or anything.
Now that would be awkward.
Let's just home he wouldn't get too curious and was smart enough to avoid those kind of things kept in the drawers.
"Okie dokes, can't wait."

He thought it might also comfort her if he reassured her with the whole privacy thing. He was a male and she was a female, so most people would probably think it a bit strange or that something was going on between them.
"And you have my word that I'll try and respect your privacy. If you tell me to not go through something or say that something is off limits, then I'll respect that."
He turned and smiled at her, hoping that she'd come to find it as a good experience instead of another bad memory.

"It's just the bathroom....necessities. If you catch my drift. It'll be pretty awkward for you." Leanne said putting it bluntly.
It was no use beating around the bush since he might just so happen stumble upon those things she would keep in the bathroom that would make situations weird. Leanne, herself didnt' really care too much or worry a lot of about rooming with guys since after she left her parents he had lived with different guys and only one family had a girl in it. Which was quite depressing since Leanne always liked those girl talks or girl times with her sister.
She missed her sister.

They had finally arrived at Nick's quaint little townhouse. He slowed down and turned into the driveway, then coming to a complete stop and parking the car and turning it off. He looked over at Leanne with a smile.
"Here we are."
He got out of the car and shut the door, waiting for her to do the same before he locked it.
"We'll come back for your stuff, for now let me show you the place."
He motioned for her to follow him to the door which he would unlock and open. It was about five steps up before you got into the actual living space of the townhouse. To the left was kitchen, which was large enough to do some good cooking, it had a little bar separating the kitchen area from the entrance area.
To his right was the living room, which had a nice, not too fancy and large flat screen television and a couch, and then there was the hallway that led to his dad's room and the garage. Nick pointed to the various places as he gave her the tour.
"Okay. So that's the kitchen, that's the living room, and that's my father's room and his studio down there. He turned our garage into his music studio."

Good gracious they had arrived.
Leanne stepped out of the car after Nicolas and the car auto locked with the press of a button. She followed her new room mate into the townhouse and was a little nervous about her new living space, after all it was going to be an all new environment. However as she stepped in, it was not what she had feared. It did not lack warmth nor the home-like feel that some of her previous households had.
"Okay. So that's the kitchen, that's the living room, and that's my father's room and his studio down there. He turned our garage into his music studio
Leanne turned to look at the areas and her eyes lingered upon the kitchen longer. That's where she'd be spending most of her time in this place. At least, that was the least she could do for the family as well. Cook! Either way the place was very home-y and Leanne a little at ease already. However, it also brought a sense of homesickness.
"Wow. Alright nice." Leanne said nodding as she took everything into her mind. Yes, she could imagine herself living here.

"Alright, now upstairs." he said, continuing the tour.
He made his way to a second flight of steps, this one actually going to a second story. Once he got the the top, he was in a narrow hallway with three doors. The door directly across from the stairway, in between both ends of the hall which the other two doors were located, was the bathroom they would be sharing. The room to the right was Nick's room, and the room to the left was Leanne's room.
"This right here is the bathroom we'll be sharing, and this," he said, walking down the hall to the right and opening the door, "is my room."
Nick's room was pretty simple. There was a mirrored closet on the wall to the left, his twin sized bed in the center of the right wall with a nightstand, and on the far wall there was a sliding glass door to go out to the balcony. Other then the Ibanez and the 150-watt amp, Nick didn't have anything in his room.
