Riley sat at one of the computers in a Internet Cafe, the Java Cafe he believed the name was, as he sipped at a Styrofoam cup that had a mocha frappe in it, while he sat a table meant for two people. He wore a sleeveless black hoodie, a black Diesel t-shirt, black board shorts, and white Adidas shoes. He didn't feel like going to Starbucks, so, Riley had gone searching out for an Internet cafe that didn't charge so much, and found The Java Cafe. And he loved this place. When he get the chance, he'd come here, even if it was only to buy a small cup of coffee. Riley took a drank from his mocha frappe, as he then heard footsteps come up from behind him, and a rough voice call out. "Oy, blondie, you're in my seat! Move your ass!" Riley slowly turned his head slightly, to look behind him, and saw a guy, clearly a jock, standing behind Riley, a girl who looked like a cheerleader had her arms wrapped around the guy, like she was claiming he was her property.
Pathetic.
Riley ignored the guy, and took another sip from his drink. "Oy blondie, did you not hear me? Or are you that stupid that you understand English?" the guy mocked, as Riley sighed. Clearly, he was not going to get any peace and quiet. Quickly spinning in his chair, Riley smashed his elbow into the guy's face, as he went down like a ton of bricks, as whispers broke out around the cafe. "Please," Riley said, almost bored, "For your sake, and mine, just stay down okay?" The guy clutched his face, as the girl began to panic, before helping the guy to his feet. "You...I won't forget this..." the guy seethed, as he hobbled out of the cafe, the girl not helping him out all that much, just panicking and the like. "Sorry about that," Riley called to the girl at the counter, "He started it, not me. Didn't mean to cause a commotion." The people in the cafe stopped whispering and went back to what they were doing, as Riley sat back in his seat, unaware that his mini-brawl had caught the the attention of someone in the cafe.

The female had seen it all, emerald eyes watching the whole scene. She was sipping at her white chocolate mocha with extra white chocolate. Kate flicked blonde strands out of her face with slender fingers. She chuckled slightly, and stood. She was wearing something that could probably rival the cheerleader girl, which was funny because Kate had been a cheerleader. Short khaki shorts that showed her legs, heeled wedges, a pale coral tank top under an expensive white jacket. Several pale gold belts hung from her hips.
It was just a couple of steps forward, and she seated herself across from the boy who had downed the jock. One eyebrow lifted, her head cocking to the side. She didn't say anything, at least not at first. Merely sipped from her coffee cup, emerald eyes dancing with humor.
"Does trouble follow you around?"
Such a weird question, but Kate liked to throw people off their games. Meant she could get more information out of them, somehow. Those full lips twisted into a smirk, humor playing there as well.

Riley saw from the corner of his eye, a girl with hair the same color as his, wearing short khaki shorts that showed her legs, heeled wedges, a pale coral tank top under a white jacket, and to complete the outfit, he saw several pale gold belts that were hung around her hips. Riley looked and watched her from the top of his sight, as she took a couple steps forward and then seated herself across from him, as he saw her lift one eyebrow, her head was cocked to side, she didn't say anything, just sipped from her coffee cup, which was fine with him, as he took a sip from his drink and placed the cup back down, before resting his elbow on the table, and cradled his chin in the palm of his hand, as he stared out the window, his amber eyes glancing over at the girl across from him every once in a while. It's not that he was nervous that she was sitting at his table, it was just, he was curious as to why.
"Does trouble follow you around?"
Riley slowly turned his gaze and looked at her, as he saw a smirk appear on her face. "Sometimes," he replied casually, as he smirked slightly back at her and held his hands up and shook his head in mock exasperation, "But sometimes I go looking for it, besides, it's usually fun to chase after something. So what brings you to sitting here, at my table?" he asked, as he moved his hand, so he was now resting his cheek against his hand. "Most would try to stay clear of someone who fights." Riley was no fighting fiend, but he could hold his own in a fight, just, no one ever saw him fight before. "I don't believe I've had the pleasure of meeting you, I am Riley, and your name is?" Riley raised an eyebrow at the girl, his amber eyes holding a slightly mischievous look in them.

She was smiling, a coy looking thing as she watched him. He had a fun looking glint in those eyes of his, and Kate always took that as a god thing. The blonde felt rather flirty, and in a fun sort of mood. She held out her hand for him, making it clear that she wanted things to be a little proper.
"Kate McHallin, Riley."
Whether or not he took her hand, she'd continue on with the conversation. After all she had come over to start some fun. Some people around the cafe were looking around at them, because of the scene he had kind of started before. At least in the eyes of the jock he had. Sitting in his seat and all.
"I'm going to guess and say you go to the local school, PHS 42 right? If so we'll be running into each other."
She figured that he did in fact go to the local school. Kate was pretty sure almost everyone in the area went to PHS# 42. If he proved to be interesting enough, she'd make sure to run into him again. On school, and off school. The smirk just grew.

"Kate McHallin, Riley." He saw her hold out her hand as she replied, as a mischievous smirk started to appear on Riley's face. "Riley Davis, Kate, but you already knew my first name." Riley replied, taking her hand and shaking it, grasping it firmly, all business and no nonsense-like. A few people in the cafe looked at them, mostly at him, due to the scene he had created, well, at least to the jock he had elbowed in the face, since Riley had sat in his seat and didn't bother to move, he had felt lazy, and besides, this table was a nice one to sit at, why would he give it up just because some jock demanded him to?
"I'm going to guess and say you go to the local school, PHS 42 right? If so we'll be running into each other."
"You guessed correctly," Riley replied, after taking a sip from his drink, "I do go to PHS 42. I have no doubt in my mind we'll run into each other sooner or later." Knowing that, Riley had no need to ask if she went there too, she had already answered that when she asked him. He saw her smirk grow, as he stared back at her, intrigued. "It seems we've become the center of attention. Why don't we give them something to talk about?" Riley's smirk grew, as his amber eyes looked into Kate's emerald eyes, the mischievous look never leaving his eyes, as he rested his elbows on the table, interlocking his fingers together, hiding his face, only his eyes could be seen now.

Both her eyebrows rose. Straight to the flirting then? She chuckled low in her throat, no one would be able to hear it except the two of them. Those emerald eyes were dancing so wildly. Just what he was suggesting? Making a scene?
"So, give them something to stare at? Well my dear boy, I'm not sure if I get your meaning. I can think of lots of things that we could do to make them stare some more."
The smirk was coy and smug. She took a dip sip of her coffee, that wondrous white chocolate mocha. Tasted so good it should have been some sort of sin. She leaned in, those eyebrows still raised.
"So what exactly are you suggesting, Mister Riley Davis? I'd like to hear what is brewing in your mind."
Was she trying to push his buttons and figure out what exactly was going on? Of course Kate was!!! This boy was interesting, so Kate was very interested.

Riley saw both her eyebrows rise, as he heard her chuckle, it was low, so no one but the two of them would be able to hear it. He could see her emerald eyes dancing wildly, as he smirked even more, create a scene? That was exactly what he was saying. "So, give them something to stare at? Well my dear boy, I'm not sure if I get your meaning. I can think of lots of things that we could do to make them stare some more." "Well, if you have any suggestions, I'm more than willing to hear them," Riley replied back, "It's exactly what I'm saying, cause some commotion, give them all something to talk about." Riley didn't really care what others thought of him, he honestly did what he felt like doing. He saw the smirk on Kate's face was coy and smug, reminding him of someone, who you ask? I'll leave that to your imagination. He saw her take a sip of her drink, and then leaned in, her eyebrows still raised, as he absentmindedly played with his now empty cup.
"So what exactly are you suggesting, Mister Riley Davis? I'd like to hear what is brewing in your mind."
He chuckled softly, he wasn't used to be called mister. Only one person had called him mister, Emily, but that had only been once. "You'd find it very hard to figure out the inner workings of my mind, there is much going on inside this mind of mine," he replied, tapping his head with one finger, "But since you asked so nicely..." Riley leaned in, his face close to hers, from the view of the other people in the cafe, it would look like he was leaning in to kiss her. But that was far from the truth actually. His face was quite close to hers, a small bit of space in between. "Still wondering what's going on in my mind?" He kept his face close to hers, the smirk still on his face. She was interesting, very interesting. He hadn't had this much fun in a while. "Can you decode my thoughts now, my dear Kate?"

Wooo! All these boys around here were flirty! Every single damn one of them! Were girls so far and few that they flirted with everyone... well, everyone of them seemed to flirt with her. Minus the ones who had girls, which probably meant that this one didn't have a girl either. Worked for her, Kate loved the attention. Loved the rush that flirting gave her. The blonde smiled, and whispered in a breath, so only they could hear. And yet the people around them were staring, and craning their necks to try and hear.
"Riley, if you're going to get that close... you better damn well try to kiss me, or you just might upset me."
She chuckled, and winked at him before pulling back. Another sip of the perfection called a white chocolate mocha in a cup. The blonde loved the drink, her favorite of all time. The girl was smirking, and she leaned back in her chair, relaxing.
"So Trouble... I mean Riley, what is it you do for fun exactly? Lead girls on with your pretty face and words?"
Playing hard ball? Maybe. Maybe not.

His face rather close to Kate's, he saw her smile, and whisper in a breath, only the two of them could hear it, though the people around them while they were staring, were also craning their necks to try and hear. Heh, good luck with that. They were going to hear diddly squat. "Riley, if you're going to get that close... you better damn well try to kiss me, or you just might upset me." "Well then, the next time that happens, I'll make sure to remember," Riley replied, smirking at her, "I wouldn't want to upset you... Your Majesty." No teasing, no nothing, Riley was completely serious when he had called Kate that. He had called only one other person "Your Majesty" before, back at Point Hope. Was Riley flirting? Maybe, but that was because he found Kate interesting, and trust me, Riley never flirts, not unless he was interested. He heard Kate chuckle and wink at him before he saw her pull away, taking another sip of her drink.
"So Trouble... I mean Riley, what is it you do for fun exactly? Lead girls on with your pretty face and words?"
Riley chuckled softly at this, he had a pretty face? He never really quite thought that before, and Riley was not a narcissistic guy, he never really thought about his looks before. "I play basketball," he replied, casually playing with his empty cup, "I didn't know I had a pretty face. I don't usually lead girls on, but sometimes I do it." Riley looked at Kate, the smirk still on his face. "And you Your Majesty... I mean Kate, what do you do for fun? Play along with guys who like to create scenes and commotion?" If it was a game she wanted to play, Riley would gladly play along, he was a very good opponent and sport. Let the game begin.

Your Majesty? Oh. Oho. That was a funny way of putting it. Kate really was the queen (note: not drag queen) of her companies and various businesses. She reached up and tucked loose strands of hair out of her eyes and behind her ears.
"I go where the fun is darling. Night clubs, fights, scenes, commotions, pretty boys... you name it, I'm there." Gangs, but that one was going to be kept to herself, of course. Very little people around here actually knew about the gang she was in, the Reapers. And they were going to take over here as well.
"But since you play basketball... I might as well add that I was captain of a cheer leading squad, varsity... at one point in time."
Sure she had the looks of a cheerleader, but the attitude of one? Maybe, depending on how you looked at it. She was not an air head, nor was cheer leading her life. It never had been, even back in her innocent days.
"You going to join the basketball team or club or whatever it is we have around here? Are you any...good?"

You heard right folks, Riley called Kate, "Your Majesty." Not that he knew anything about what she did, what companies she owned, etc. In fact, aside from her name, he knew next to nothing about her, well, almost nothing. He saw her reach up and tuck some loose strands of her hair out of her eyes and behind her ears. Riley's hair was short, spiky short, he didn't even have to put gel in it to spike it up, it spiked up on its own, but enough about hair, that's not the point. "I go where the fun is darling. Night clubs, fights, scenes, commotions, pretty boys... you name it, I'm there." Riley kept silent, not because he was surprised and dumbfounded by this, but because he was thinking, hearing her say that reminded him of someone he knew long ago, back then, in the past, but the past, was the past, nothing more, nothing less. "Quite the socialite you are." Riley commented finally after his long pause. Riley himself was not what he would call extremely "popular," but he was a bit popular nonetheless.
"But since you play basketball... I might as well add that I was captain of a cheer leading squad, varsity... at one point in time."
Riley raised an eyebrow in interest, so she had been a cheerleader at one point in time before. Not that Riley was really surprised by this, she had the looks of a cheerleader, but the cognitive abilities of a cheerleader? Not in this lifetime, she was a lot more cunning, her attitude, well, it really depended on how you looked at it. But this much was true, an airhead, she was not. "You going to join the basketball team or club or whatever it is we have around here? Are you any...good?" I considered joining the basketball team," Riley replied, leaning back in his chair, "Heh, I'd have to be good, considering I was on the basketball team back at my old high school, before I transferred and came here." When Riley said his old high school, he wasn't talking about St. Paragon's, Point Hope High or even Public High School 259, no, he was talking about his old old high school, the one he had gone to before he had died.
"What about you? You considering being a cheerleader again, or is that all behind you now?"

Well didn't he ask an interesting question! Would she be a cheerleader again??? Kate had to think on that one. Considering all the options of it... and had to grin. To be a cheerleader again? Wouldn't that just be interesting?
"You know... I think I will. It's been years, but I think I really will try back out."
The blonde grinned at him, emerald eyes still dancing. He was good at basketball? Bragging about it really. She leaned forward again, her attention completely on Riley Dalton.
"Well, you try out for the basketball team, and maybe I'll cheer for you sometime."
Yup, Kate the blonde bombshell was going to try back out for the cheer leading group. Maybe it'd be a little clicky, or whatever... but cheer leading had been fun. When it had been with all her friends... and since her friends weren't here anymore, well maybe cheer leading would take on a different sort of appeal.

"You know... I think I will. It's been years, but I think I really will try back out." Riley saw Kate grin at him, her emerald eyes dancing, as he smirked back at her, a mischievous look on his face. "Heh, if you do, I think all the guys in the stand will be focusing on everything but the game," he smirked, as he leaned forward a bit, "We'll have pools of drool everywhere whenever you walk onto the gym floor." He saw her lean forward, her attention completely on him, as he he looked back at her, torn between amusement and puzzlement.
"Well, you try out for the basketball team, and maybe I'll cheer for you sometime."
His smirk widened at this, as Riley looked back at her. "Well, if you're going to cheer for me, then maybe I will join the basketball team." He then leaned back in his chair, and looked over at the clock mounted on the wall. "Well, would you look at the time. It seems my time here is up, I have an urgent matter that requires my attention." No, Riley was not saying this just to get out of this conversation, he really had to do something right now. He pushed his chair back, and stood up, picking his empty cup up. "Well my dear Kate, it was nice to meet you. Perhaps I shall see around in school sometime. I look forward to seeing you again." With that said, Riley then headed out of the cafe, but not before tossing his empty cup away, firing it like a basketball, as it landed in the garbage can. Pushing the door open, he then exited out of the cafe.
