Who Has More Money? (Adrian)

[Adrian]

What Kate might not have realized the physics at work with what Adrian was doing, especially considering her response to it. When Adrian initially started pushing on the desk, he was pushing in compensation for Kate's weight on the other end. However slight it may have been, it was still more, relatively, than if he were pushing the desk by itself. Thus, when Kate would jump up onto the desk, in the time she would spend in the air, Adrian would be pushing the desk that much faster.

And so, she would have herself a quickly moving target to land upon. And, as she was attempting to move across it quickly, as soon as her front leg would land upon it, it was very likely that landing on a quickly moving desk with simply one foot would cause her to pitch forward due to a lack of balance on a moving surface. It's all Newtonian, really. It would be like unintentionally stepping upon a conveyor belt moving away from the way you were moving, or going up a down escalator. Unless you were fully prepared for it, you would fall.

And so, unless she managed to catch herself, Kate would find herself tripping forward instead of setting up her kick after all. As she would fall, Adrian would reach up and grab her around her upper body, flipping her over his shoulder and sending her back-first onto the floor in front of him.

If all went according to plan, Adrian would pop up to his feet, getting some distance from his date-to-be and taunt her with a smirk.

"C'mon, Kate, don't tell I'm gonna beat you here without even throwing a single punch." He would smirk and await what she would do next.

[Kate]

Well wasn't this interesting!!! The laws of physics were so against her in this moment. Wooo for life! Kate wasn't going to like this in a bit. He gabbed her, and chucked her over his shoulder, she managed to twist enough mid-air and land on her knees rather than her back.

"Without a single punch? I can make your day then darling. Tell you what, we could even make it a brawl. Stand toe to toe, and wail on each other."

She was grinned as she stood back up. Why? Because Kate was for certain that she would win in that sort of thing. In fact, she'd bet a lot more that she would win that sort of thing. Kate rose and smiled at him. The small of her back was sore, and so was her knees... but other than that the blonde was doing just damned fine. She lifted a hand and waved him toward her with a wink. Letting him come to her.

"Come on cutie, come closer to play."

Said the spider to the fly...

[Adrian]

Adrian was impressed at the girl's acrobatics, twisting in midair from such a short distance. She stood up and had more to say to the younger boy, issuing forth yet another challenge. She wanted a stand-up slugfest.

Now, Adrian wasn't stupid. He saw the way she cracked that desk. He knew how one of those fists would feel across his face, or on his ribs. And yet, Adrian, really, was stupid. If someone challenged him, he wouldn't back down. It's what got him into this Reapers mess in the first place. And it would end up causing him to give himself up for a night to this girl after all.

... yeah, like that was gonna be such a bad thing.

"Alright. You're obviously too scared of me to not fight on my terms, so I'll beat you on yours." Adrian grinned and moved in towards her punching range, putting his dukes up and waiting.

"Alright, dear, take your best shot."

[Kate]

Oh, well wasn't he ready to loose? He came forward to her challenge and Kate grinned. She offered him a wink and blew a kiss toward Adrian. Such a good looking man... it'd be such a shame to smack him around. At least with blows to the face and everything.

"Oh, I know all the things were going to do that night darling. You won't ever forget it."

She chuckled and put her 'dukes' up as well, grinning ear to ear. This was going to be way too easy. Her knuckles cracked again, and she put her left foot forward. A feint to the face in a left jab sort of way followed by a right hook into his ribs. Full speed, full strength. Kate was looking to win, and claim her prize. Which oddly enough, was the person she was damaging.

[Adrian]

Adrian grinned, knowing exactly what he was putting himself into. He knew it, and Kate knew it, and anyone who would have overseen the repartee thus far would have, as well. However, Adrian, unphased as always, would walk directly into the fire, so to speak.

Kate put up a boxing stance, but Adrian kept himself wary. He saw the feint before, and you couldn't fool the boy twice, at least not in the span of a few minutes. The first feint punch was simple enough - Adrian just put his hand in the way of the fist. Feint or not, it required little forethought and left him able to concentrate on the follow-up, a lower right hook.

So the girl would try to box, after all.

Adrian was used to fighting like this. His left elbow came down at an angle, hitting Kate's inner forearm to block it from its intended point, and then bringing the same fist forward, stepping even closer to the girl as he threw a hook of his own, coming inside the girl's guard to hit her in the ribs as well.

[Kate]

He blocked and moved, like he knew what he was doing. She let the punch to her ribs connect on purpose, taking the hit like a pro. Her left hand latched onto his wrist, and she well, for lack of better wording, twisted. Her body coming behind his, pulling his wrist and arm to the left to complete it better.

She then wrapped her arms around his waist and pressed her entire body to his frame. Leaned in and even grazed her teeth on the back of his neck. Her grip? Tight as could be, firm as ever. Then she lifted him, bending backward and trying to slam the back of his neck and head into the ground.

German suplex anyone? And in heels?

Unless he had somehow gotten out of her grip during all of them, she'd slam him into the ground, and flip WITH him. Only to come back up and do it all over again. If he was still... awake at that point at least. She was going for a knock out. Kate was strong, she could take his weight.

[Adrian]

Kate took the punch, something Adrian somewhat expected (everyone else loved to do it to show their dominance over him) and grabbed his wrist and pulled, spinning both of them into a position that, if they weren't currently beating on each other, would have been rather sexy. Adrian, unwilling to show his expectance of the upcoming loss, turned his head so one of his bright blue would look at Kate.

"Well hey there, sexy."

Adrian would smirk, and as she attempted to lift the boy, he would hook his left leg behind Kate's, catching her up and botching the throw. He would then shift his weight forward, giving her more resistance to any concurrent throws. Adrian would, however, be powerless to do anything else, or at least, as much as he wanted. He could elbow her in the face, but there was no way in hell Adrian would EVER mess up as pretty a face as hers. Out of options, Adrian decided instead just to taunt.

"Come on, Kate, I thought you wanted to fight first, and fuck later?"

There, he out and said it, and it made sense, considering the position the boy and girl were currently in. His head turned to her, he smirked and shrugged. She would have another chance to either throw him again, or try something else.

[Kate]

Well, wasn't this a pretty pickle. Kate was still standing there, with her body pressed to his. She chuckled, low, breath on his neck. She had stopped the moment he had tried to trip her, standing solid on the ground. The blonde was loving every moment of this.

"I never even said a word about fucking Adrian. Trying to take what you haven't earned?"

All teases, somewhat. She had hinted, but really hadn't said anything just yet. Already planning on it, but not said a word about it. Big difference to Kate McHallin.

" Darling, you're all sorts of fun without the sex, consider that a compliment..."

What to do? One arm stayed anchored to his waist, the other moved, slamming a fist into the back of his neck. Hard. Maybe he'd go down now? Maybe not.

[Adrian]

Adrian knew full well what he had said, and why he said it. He was a good flirt, even in the middle of a punching fest. She countered his tease with one of her own, words that Adrian had, to some degree, expected. Was she actually taken aback or insulted? Probably not. In fact, if Adrian had Kate figured out like he thought he did, at least to some extent, she probably loved it as much as he did.

Her fist slammed into his neck, and he was literally powerless to stop it. And it hurt. A lot. Adrian took the hit, rolling counter-clockwise in an attempt to use the fact that one side of him was now free to break free from her grasp. He was seeing stars, however, and wasn't really able to do much else until he could gather his thoughts again, which wouldn't be immediately.

Instead, he just looked the girl straight in the face, his eyes clearly showing a bit of loopiness still. He smiled, a kind of crooked half-smile of someone who hadn't fully pulled themselves together.

"And here I thought you were trying to do the same to me," Adrian said, in reference to Kate talking about him taking what he hadn't earned. His hands came back up, weakly, and he beckoned her forth with both hands in the "bring it" gesture.

"Sugar, you know the sex would only be the cherry on top of one damn delicious sundae."

Okay, yeah, it made sense, but Adrian was half delirious from the punch. One would be surprised he could even attempt to be that suave in his state. "So you gonna knock me out or what? You've been trying since we started this thing, c'mon, I thought you were tough."

He grinned and raised his eyebrows. He wasn't QUITE down and out just yet, but he was close. Her next few moves would determine just how fast he went down.

[Kate]

She grinned at him, loving the reaction he had. It was odd really, how well they were getting along. And how well they would get along. Like some one up there loved them or something. The blonde was grinning at Adrian, knowing that he wasn't at his best after that last hit. She was going to go in for a KO... once again.

The blonde surged forward, deciding to talk later. But he was very true, sex would just be the very sweet cherry on the top. Something that Kate was already looking forward to... to be honest. The girl surged forward, once again.

But what to do? Kate jabbed once more, toward his face... and planned on him blocking it. Her other hand would latch onto his, pulling him in. Her other hand? Swinging around the spot on his neck she had hit before.

[Adrian]

Kate punched, and Adrian, mustering the best he could, lifted his arm up to block the hit. Falling for it hook, line, and sinker, he felt himself grabbed and pulled in, and, surely enough, punched hard right in the same spot. Adrian took the hit full on, stumbling backwards as he did so.

Ohh, that was gonna bruise tomorrow.

And yet, for some reason, Adrian still refused to go down. The boy's stubbornness truly knew no bounds, and even though his mind was nearly out to lunch, his body still seemed to want to keep going. Adrian finally found his feet, somewhat, wobbling back and forth. He grinned, looking completely goofy and dazed, his hair disheveled and his eyes looking about at everything as if he were seeing things in a whole new light.

"C'mon, Kate. You ain't so tough... you can't even punch me out..." He began, slowly, pointing at Kate as he said so. "In fact... I'mma punch you right now, and you're gonna get sooo knocked out..."

Adrian grinned and started to lurch toward Kate, closing in the distance, his finger still out and pointing at her. "You ready for this? I'mma knock you out Ka...Ka..."

Adrian closed the distance between them and lifted his left arm as if he were going to punch her as he was speaking. However, by the end of his sentence, as he falted, Adrian's multiple shots to the neck finally caught up with him, and he passed out, falling forward onto Kate.

Maybe he'd land a hit on her after all.

[Kate]

He still wasn't going down? Kate scowled fully, not liking that in the least bit. She thought he was pretty weak, but if he was tougher than she thought... well, he had to be! Taking all that and still standing. Maybe not standing up straight, but still standing.

And that was when he passed out; pretty much on top of her. Not that Kate couldn't handle it. She lifted her hands and braced his body, grunting a bit at the sudden dead weight. She carefully laid him on the ground, smirking to herself.

"Silly boy.."

Kate leaned over and placed a soft kiss on his cheek. And then she gathered her things and left, leaving him knocked out on the spot. However, when she got to the door, the blonde made sure to re-lock it before closing. It'd be bad if he had that watch stolen from him because of her.

A few minutes later, Adrian would finally awake from his unconscious state. He sat up, rubbing his neck where, sure enough, a bruise was already starting to form. His eyes focused, and he looked around, seeing that Kate was nowhere to be found. He frowned a bit at this, somewhat hoping to maybe continue their repartee after the battle. As his mind returned to him, though, Adrian began to realize that this made more sense. There was only so much time in a period, and she certainly had places to go anyway.

Adrian reached into his vest pocket and produced the card Kate had given him. He read over it again, a grin coming to his face, and then he pocketed it once more. He nodded to himself, before finally standing up and exiting the room on his own accord.

Maybe things would start to get a little more interesting here, after all.
