Who Has More Money? (Adrian)

[Adrian]

If there was anyone on this planet that could match Kate smirk for smug smirk, it was quite likely to be Adrian Hanlon. And so he did, the confidence and subtle arrogance in her twisted lips infecting his own, so to speak.

A slight movement caused the girl's hair to fall from around her shoulders, revealing a tattoo that brought no words, but a simple eyebrow raise to Adrian's features. He spoke not of it, deciding the girl could bring it up if she wished. As far as he figured, there was likely little story to tell of it anyway. It was just a rose, after all.

It's not like some angry ex-boyfriend carved his initials into her or anything.

She then questioned his motives for entering the room, to which he would respond first by lowering his head slightly, looking up at her in an almost lustful fashion.

"I don't know," he began in a deeper, more sensual ton of voice, "perhaps as I was walking by I felt the strong pull of a powerful, sensual female presence, and was powerless to stop myself from partaking in its radiance personally..."

He smiled a rather provocative grin in her direction for a moment, before leaning his head back to a normal position, assuming a rather general stature, and shrugging. "Or maybe I was just running late and walked into the wrong classroom. You pick."

He shrugged again and laughed a little, smiling good-naturedly at the girl.

[Kate]

Oh? Oho! Kate sat up just a little bit straighter, that smirk on her lips suggested such wicked little things. She was a sexual creature, and didn't really beat around the bush about it. And truth be told... it had been a long time since she had gotten laid. A very long time, made her feel almost frisky. She couldn't help herself at all, him flirting with her like that. Like he could push all the right buttons with those words, that voice, and the entire package. He was pretty good at this, wasn't he?

She stepped forward, sort of hopping off the desk. A few strides and she was standing right in front of him. Those emerald eyes were simmering, full lips twisted into perfection. There was something in the way she walked that suggested she was the cat, and he was the mouse about to be preyed upon.

"As much as I'd wish for the first, I have a feeling it was the second."

She chuckled, and lifted a hand. Her hand pressed to her chest, and smoothed the fabric there. Kate leaned forward, as he was leaning back on the desk. Closer, and closer, ever slowly. The pale woman liked to tease, loved to flirt. He was bringing out that side of her. Leaning forward to the point where they were almost nose to nose again, except it was really almost lip to lip. Just a breath away.

"Adrian, if you continue on that path you've set out on... I just might have to take advantage of you."

A low chuckle. That's right, take advantage of him. Kate always got what she wanted. Sooner or later.

[Adrian]

As he spoke, Kate pushed herself from her desk and walked - no, the girl stalked - over to Adrian's position. Adrian's breath caught in his throat for a moment, but thankfully he was able to catch himself and not look or sound like a goof in the process. Was he nervous? Well, a completely knockout babe had gone from playfully teasing to a look and a walk that screamed lust. Wouldn't you be?

She positioned herself close to him, extremely close. Their faces were nearly touching, so much that if Adrian wanted to, he wouldn't have to move far to press his lips against the soft, luscious ones next to his. As she spoke, Adrian's grin widened, almost into a full smile. He leaned forward as well, his nose brushing up against hers.

"Good to know, Ms. McHallin, because this path is the only one I plan to follow..."

Adrian let his words hang in the air for a bit, letting the girl know his intentions fully. His forehead leaned in, so that now their foreheads touched as well. His eyes, directly in front of hers, looked into them as he whispered to her softly.

"Although I believe the end result will be much more mutually beneficial than you may realize."

Would he kiss her? It may be the perfect line for it, but no, Adrian would hold off... somewhat. He would lean in even closer, his lips close enough so that even a baited breath would feel warm across her own, but then he would pull back again, breaking their physical touch ever so slightly, a fiery look in his eyes and a sensual grin on his face. What would she do now?

[Kate]

Kate leaned back when he did, she couldn't help it. Laughter spilled from her, shaking her sides with it. He was a real piece of work, wasn't he? And in such a good sort of way. She smiled up at him, taller man is tall? Her hand lifted, and touched the side of his face. Caressing his jaw line with soft, gentle movements, fingers almost curling on his skin.

"That's very good to know. But of course you'll have to convince me."

Cat and mouse, but who was the cat and who was the mouse? He seemed to like to be the cat, as did she. The times she had played the mouse were far behind her. The old days and all that jazz. Her hands moved again, to his person once more. Her fingers found the waist line of his jeans, and she put her thumbs through two belt loops by his hips. Keeping him close, so he couldn't run away.

"What exactly would you do to convince me?"

A tease in the question, and a challenge. What would he do? How could he "convince" her? Kate was already sure she would be seeing him again, that he would be loads of fun in the future. The question was, what could he do to talk her into his bed?

[Adrian]

As she touched him, Adrian fought back the urge to shudder uncontrollably. The girl was so soft and sensual, and her touch was enough to drive a man crazy. Thankfully, he was a strong enough man to (just barely) hold himself together, and it likely made him look all the more well-made for it. His smile did soften, however, as she did so, from one more erotic to one more kind.

When she spoke, however, his features couldn't help but revert back to a more sexually aroused state. (No, not THAT feature.)

As she hooked her thumbs in his belt loops, keeping him close to her, he used the time to stand up fully, moving in closer to her once again. His hand, opposite the one Kate had used to caress his face, came up and brushed her hair from her shoulder, tucking it back behind her ear with a smooth, precise movement.

"Convince you? Love, I couldn't say it better than you did yourself. If you weren't convinced, would you be in the position you are now?"

His smile widened to an almost predatory grin as he looked down at the girl, her hands gripped to his waistline. His own hands moved down each of her shoulders down each side of her body casually, until he reached her hips, where he held them there. His gaze held hers, and he cocked an eyebrow.

"Hmm?"

[Kate]

He was such an interesting person, and Kate had to admit to herself that his flirting was on a level that rivaled Mathew's. Sooner or later this would come to kissing, which would add another name on Kate's ever growing list. She pretty much melted into his arms, loving the feeling of his hands on her. She was grinning up at him, emerald eyes sparkling.

"I'm interested, not fully convinced darling."

Laughter from her lips, light and soft. She really was enjoying this odd little random meeting. It was making her day that much better.

"The man's supposed to sweep the lady off her feet. I'll admit that it's mighty hard to impress me to the point of what you're hinting at Mr. Hanlon."

[Adrian]

As Kate seemed to fall into the younger boy's arms, Adrian grinned mischievously. She continued to dare him to make a move, to act on the obvious impulses that the two youngsters were feeling. Adrian wasn't sure exactly how this game was going to end; it was a habit of his to see most things as a game or a competition. Who actually wins, and who loses in a situation like this?

And does it even really matter?

Adrian laughed at his own revelation, and decided to speak on the matter. "Well, dear, I do consider myself old-fashioned in that regard. I've just got one thing I can't decide..."

Adrian's face turned to a sly grin before he continued.

"When you say it's my job to sweep you off your feet, did you mean... physically...?"

As he said the word, Adrian, with his arms already in a prime position at her hips, extending them all the way around her waist and hoisted Kate up, causing her legs to splay somewhat so that she was straddling the boy in mid-air. His arms rested upon the middle of her back, anchoring her in the air. Adrian was a pretty strong guy, thanks to his rather obscenely detailed weight training and boxing practice, and holding a girl like Kate would prove no trouble at all. His eyes, as per the course of the conversation, would lock with hers again, as a half-smirk turned up at the right side of his face.

"Or should I do it verbally, and tell you, with absolute honesty, that you are, without the doubt, the most wonderful woman I've had the honor of spending any amount of time with, alone in an empty classroom?"

He raised both eyebrows at her and smiled. It might have been corny, coming from anyone else, but Adrian's tone of voice and social upbringing helped manage to make it come across as much more suave and persuasive.

[Kate]

Both eyebrows rose as she was suddenly in the air. The only logical thing to do was wrap her legs around his waist, and move her arms to his shoulders, so that's what Kate did! She was pretty much wrapped around him, and he was holding her very nicely. Made her rather happy. Her facial returned to that saucy sort of look, and she put their noses together again. One hand almost lazily lifted and ran fingers through his hair.


"Or should I do it verbally, and tell you, with absolute honesty, that you are, without the doubt, the most wonderful woman I've had the honor of spending any amount of time with, alone in an empty classroom?"

Alright, those were some pretty corny, yet classy words. At least with his voice shaping them. She bit down on her bottom lip, still somehow smirking.

"Only in an empty classroom, alone? Not the most wonderful you've ever met?"

Such a tease, she leaned in, fingers still playing in his hair, and pressed her lips on his jawline in feather light kisses.

[Adrian]

Kate seemed to take well to being lifted up into his arms, which Adrian certainly didn't mind one bit. This girl was certainly open to playing along, if she didn't honestly like the boy outright. Adrian laughed as she spoke back to him. Was everything this girl said just part of one giant tease? He shook his head, shrugging somewhat.

"I don't know, Kate, I've met a lot of women in my life..."

He smirked at her. He could tease, too. The way she left those light kisses on his jaw and chin was driving him wild, though. There was no way he could keep up just teasing for too much longer. His stubborn-ness had to hold out as long as it could, though.

"Too bad none of them were anywhere nearly worth my time as much as you, love. Well..."

Adrian laughed lightly, considering his words.

"Too bad for them."

The next time Kate would lean in for one of those little pecks, Adrian would shift his head so her lips would meet his own. However, he wouldn't commit himself to a real kiss, not just yet. He wanted to tease her just as badly as she was doing him. Thus, since she was used to the pecks, he would simply allow her to kiss his lips once before pulling his head back somewhat. Adrian would then look at her, eyebrows raised, inviting her for more.

"Too bad for them, indeed."

[Kate]

He moved his head suddenly, and their lips met. That startled her, only because she had really been expecting something a little more...aggressive? Or how about, way more aggressive then just moving in the way of her light kisses. One eyebrow cocked, and she looked up at him. Some of the warmth was gone, but she was still smiling.

"Yes, too bad."

If he was going to play it this way, then damn well fine. He was going to have pay the price for it. Her hand in his hair suddenly became violent, tugging and grasping rather harshly. She almost surged forward, and took what she wanted, planting her lips on his. Her eyes fluttered shut, and the blonde enjoyed her kiss very much, not making it short or sweet. Instead, everything about it was just screaming lust. When it ended, she'd pull back and laugh again.

[Adrian]

The hand in his hair pulled suddenly, and Adrian found his head forced into Kate's as their lips met in a long, full, forceful kiss. Adrian's eyes closed as he savored the taste of her lips against his. This is what he wanted all along, but was simply much too stubborn to ask for it, and maybe a little too shy to actually make the move himself. Either way, he would turn it to his advantage, as he always tried to do.

The long kiss parted, and Kate laughed. Infected by hers, Adrian couldn't help but laugh, too.

"Damn, girl, it took you long enough to come to your senses."

He smirked and leaned in, kissing her again, matching the passion and intensity of her prior kiss, if not surpassing it. His arms held tight to her, holding her head close to his as their lips locked for an extended period of time. Finally breaking the kiss, Adrian regarded her, eyebrow raised.

"See, now that wasn't too hard, was it?"

[Kate]

He laughed as well, and then kissed her again. This place was filled with interesting, hot looking guys just prime for the picking. Much better than her last school. She smirked when he broke the second kiss, after he said his little part.

"Depends on when the last time you've had a good kiss was. It seems to me that every time I turn a corner, I've got some guy trying to press his lips to mine. It's a rather interesting school."

A chuckle, and her hands went behind her back to where his were. Fingers clasped onto his, and pulled. Her legs detached from his body, and her hands were firm enough to suggest that he should let go. She would place her feet on the ground rather easily, but not move away. Kate just needed to feel the ground under her own two feet for a moment.

"Though I must admit Adrian, you've been the most fun since I've had since transferring here. I think we could have lots of fun together darling."

[Adrian]

"Well," Adrian began, releasing his hold on her when she made the obvious movements to suggest she was ready to be put down. "Let it be known, then, in the records of Ms. McHallin's little black book, that this time, you were the one who tried to kiss me." Adrian snickered, but hearing that, while filling him with a sense of jealousy he wasn't sure how he felt about, also gave him a sense of pride. So many guys after her, which came as no surprise, but she definitely kissed him first. Did she choose him after all, out of any of those guys?

Unfortunately, the way this girl worked, Adrian had no way of knowing for sure. At least he was aware of it. She spoke again, and Adrian nodded his agreement, his hand coming up as he trailed a fingernail softly down the side of her cheek to her jawline, which he traced down to the tip of her chin.

"Likewise, Kate, likewise. I can say with all assurance that, if I were to run into you again sometime... and then again after that... and any time you wanted after THAT," Adrian paused to let out a little laugh, "that would be fine with me. I think you're right, quite a bit of... fun could be had."

Oh no, Adrian didn't miss that innuendo, not at all. He'd much rather pick it up and run with it.

[Kate]

"Let it be known, then, in the records of Ms. McHallin's little black book, that this time, you were the one who tried to kiss me."

Oh yes, in a way she had. Been the first to kiss the other person that is. At least this time around. Kate wouldn't let it exactly happen again like this. His finger touched her face, and she fought the urge to shiver. Her hand came up and pressed his hand to her cheek in a serene gesture. Kate was very graceful and elegant when she wanted to be. She turned her face just slightly and nipped at his palm for a moment.

"Likewise, Kate, likewise. I can say with all assurance that, if I were to run into you again sometime... and then again after that... and any time you wanted after THAT," A pause. "that would be fine with me. I think you're right, quite a bit of... fun could be had."

She chuckled, her smirk growing. The blonde was loving every single moment of this. The pale woman kept his hand gently pressed to her face, and closed her eyes.

"So then, why don't you pick me up at my apartment this Friday? We can go out dancing, or to dinner or something interesting that I'm sure you can think up."

She pressed a kiss to his finger tips and began to slowly back away.

"Call me, and I'll give you the address. If we're dancing, tell me before hand so I wear the proper dress. And let's say seven sharp alright darling?"

Kate really wasn't taking a no with Adrian Hanlon. They were having a date, whether he really wanted it or not. The blonde grinned in that saucy way, full lips twisting.

[Adrian]

Kate's hand came up to his own, pressing his hand against her cheek. Markedly different from the other exchanges these two have had in the past few moments, this one held an air of softness that Adrian, while he knew had probably existed in the girl, hadn't fully seen until just now. The gesture brought more of a warmhearted smile to his face than he had previously shown.

Adrian had certainly been doing a lot of smiling since he stepped into this classroom today.

Kate told him to pick her up on Friday, and Adrian shook his head somewhat, almost in shock.

A date? Is she asking me on a date? ... no, she's definitely telling me to take her out. I love this girl.

He laughed somewhat. "Friday night, eh?" He thought about it a bit, and his mind flashed an image of the girl he had met a few days earlier. She would be having a party on Friday night? Perfect.

"It just so happens, love, that there's a beach party going on this Friday that I put a large enough amount of my father's money in to ensure it was worthy of my presence. If you're interested, I'd love for you to go with me."

Adrian shrugged, leaving it open. Honestly? As cold as it might be, Adrian was an opportunist. If Kate wasn't interested, he'd just as soon hire one more person to transport all the sound system to the party and not bother to show. This opportunity was better than any he'd find there, anyway.

"Of course, the party starts at eight. Since you're so set on me picking you up at seven," Adrian paused to grin at her, "we could always do something else beforehand."

He would leave it open to her imagination, mostly because he didn't entirely know for himself what they would do, just yet. Adrian was a suave enough guy to get something figured out, however.
