David looked over at the clock on the wall of the empty classroom, He butt planted on the teachers desk. He had met with a student who happened to be around at the time, asking him to deliver a message to Mathew, requesting he bring himself to room 103 and to bring Bastille. This was a moment he had been waiting for, and would be the first time he and the dragon had met since theyre fight at 259 some months earlier. He sighed. He didnt know what he was thinking. He knew that Mathew knew nothing of his association with his Slave, and so he was sure his wanting her contract would give the Dragon pause.
He had no intention of revieling why he wanted to do what he planned. Just the sheer act and thought of it would be enough for him. Once the Dragon arrived, he would start in, not gloating, mocking, or mouthing off, just getting straight to the point.
"Glad you showed up. I'll keep it brief. I want Bastilles contract as Your slave. It will be a verbal passing. You will give it over to me, in which Case Bastille will then be my slave. In exchange, im offering you my services, or Favor- Anything within physical reason. After that our association with each other will be done- You can get back to destroying lives, or building them, or whatever it is your whim calls for on a daily basis, and i can get back to ignoring all of you."
His hands were in his pockets as he spoke, and he wouldnt look at Bastille whenever she entered, his eyes on the Dragon before him.

Mathew hated being bothered by random students. It was the worst way to leave a message, having some half wit search the school for you. And the kid was always terrified. So Mathew had to sit and listen to a quivering child as he stammered out the stupid message. Mathew was tempted to beat him up just for waisting his time. Seriously couldn't people at least give the random student a note, or find Mathew themselves? He just didn't understand some people. Hell, he had a cell phone, though if the kid was someone Mathew didn't like then he wouldn't have the number he supposed, but that wasn't much incentive to go to the meeting.
The kid was so terrified that he wasn't much use, though Mathew did find out who wanted to meet him. Blaze wanted to meet him, and wanted Bastille to come. Mathew grinned, this was a very transparent meeting. Bastille had told Mathew, or let it slip when he was in the hospital last that she was in love with both him and Blaze. It wasn't hard to guess that for her to be in love they had to spend time together. And since he never made his deal with her a secret and never told her to keep it secret. It wouldn't be to much a a stretch to think that this was about the arrangement. That or Blaze planned to kill him or something.
Whatever, I will go and hear him out.
Mathew had a lot of time to prepare his answer. Well at least what he was going to do. He wasn't sure if this was a meeting of peace or battle. But he had his marbles, pennies, and sand just in case. And if it was to be a day of talks, well that was one of the things Mathew did best.
When Mathew entered the room he was taken aback by the fact that Blaze didn't even give him the courtesy of sitting down before he went in to business. Not even a greeting, it was a bit rude, but Mathew let it pass.
So it is going to be verbal and about the contract. Bastille is apparently in love with him.... Could it be? Is Blaze in love too? Hmmmm.
Mathew kept his face schooled and neutral. Keeping his thoughts to himself. The fact that Blaze was offering a favor was interesting but not all that tempting. Really he didn't feel like he needed Blaze at all.
"Why would I allow you to make her a slave? Surely you know that slavery is against the law. I thought you were the type to respect international laws Blaze." He said, his tone slightly sarcastic. He was going to play a bit true, but he was going to get to the heart of the matter.
"What do you want with her? And if I don't get a straight answer, one that I believe to be honest then I can tell you my answer is no. If you think it is none of my business, well keep in mind that I am a nosy motherfucker." He said grinning smugly to the former Pillar.

"In truth, i couldnt care a less if your nosy. Fact is, this is a deal between me and you. Why i want her, what i'll use her for, what my purpose is has no consequence in this conversation. I find it quiet possible that i would be of far more use to you then her. If not now then later." He sighed, retaking his seat, his hand popping to a chair that belonged to the teacher. "If your looking for information regarding any association i may or may not have with Bastille, you wont get it since its not part of the deal. I will tell you that i have no interest in any School Politics any longer, and my side is my own. I will place it on my honor to follow our agreement, and whatever you may feel about me you know that my honor is my life."
Everything he said there was true- His feelings, her feelings, mathews feelings- none of it had anything to do with what Mathew had to consider. This was a business deal and in Davids eye, personal matters shouldnt be brought into the conversation.
"As stated, one Favor to be cashed in at any time of your choosing." He shrugged. "Unless you have a better idea, to which i will of course consider." He, again, didnt look at Bastille during this transaction and exchange of words, keeping his focus on the matter at hand. He had no intention of talking to her until him and Amtrum were finished. He wanted this to be as legitimate as possible, and didnt want any sort of outside interference. If Bastille wanted to be a slave, David would make her one. He would treat her just like a slave, if thats what she felt was needed. He waited Patiently for Amtrum to speak, and he was an ecpert at hiding his feelings, keeping his face intent on the words he and the Dragon spoke.
All but honesty came from him- lets see how Mathew handled it.

Bastille had been in the library when Mathew had oh so rudely told her to come. She wondered if her training would finally begin but when she saw them approach a classroom it hit her and she stayed outside the door. She would lean against the wall outside listening in intently her arms crossed over her chest. As she listened to them speak her ultimate appearance did not change at all. It stayed monotonous and bleak. Her eyes stared straight ahead with out falter.
But as blaze spoke it was as if in her mind, a transparent vision of a girl her height with long blonde hair waving down her back and glorious violet eyes stared at the door her hands over her chest clinging to a locket. Bastille looked at the girl as she fiddled with the locket nervously yet her eyes showed so much happiness as she watched straight into the room. Bastille knew she was the only one who could see the girl, for in reality it was The old Bastille coming out to listen for herself. So her personalities where still so very far apart. The girl wore a long blue dress and her hair well, as mentioned earlier was long and wavy blonde with ribbons in it. A bit to pretty to ever in a life time resemble Bastilles to appearance, it looked a lot like her sister Vera if she would ever obtain the ability to be nice. As Blaze responded to Amtrum the girls hands lifted to her face in an admirable way her eyes tearing up and the salty liquid ran down the cheeks. Happiness swarmed in the girl like a radiant glow and Bastille almost wanted to smack the girl for too much froofy happy feelings. But the girl would not vanish from view and so Bastille stayed leaning against the wall and watching her.
“oh blaze” the girls voice echoed in a ghostly British voice, unearthly pretty. Bastille touched her throat. Her voice was far from that pretty. The girl vanished after covering her face fully in happy tears. But what astounded her more was that it seemed the water left on the ground by her tears was still there. Bastille checked her own eyes only to find them dry. Well this was an acid trip. Bastille leaned her head back and ignored it…her eyes going to gaze at the opposite wall again the “inner” being long gone and locked up once again inside the cage it belonged in.

"No Deal then. You don't want to tell me that's your deal. But this isn't a business transaction. This is personal. Bastille is a lot more valuable to me then any favor of yours. I don't want a favor, I don't want your life. If you had given me a good reason I would have released her right here and now. But I will not transfer her like some kind of animal. She is not a trinket to be bought or sold."
Believe it or not Mathew's tone was angry. Ironic since she was his slave and he considered her his property. But he also knew she was human. He kissed her sure, but he kissed a lot of girls. In fights even. Never once had he used his power to try something sexual with her. Mathew knew that Bastille was in love with Both of them, and that was fine with Mathew. He intended to use that if he could, but he wasn't going to stand in the way of her heart.
"This might be as unimportant as a business deal to you Blaze, but to me this is a personal matter. A matter of the heart. I will not let you disrespect me, or Bastille by pretending otherwise. So my answer is no."
With that Mathew turned his back on Blaze as he started to make his way out of the room. He had nothing more to say on the matter. Mathew wasn't in love, but he did care about the girl. And she was in love with both of them, Mathew would not subject her to this, trading her like an item. He had more respect for human emotion then that, even he wouldn't sink this low.

David's eyes squinted. He was no fool. He knew that, how Mathew worked, there had to be some sort of purpose for him, some sort of added incentive for him to consider anything. He needed information on Blaze, and David wasn't about to give him something that could be used against him in the future. But he wasn't going to let it go there. He hopped off the table, running over to stand in front of Mathew before he could reach the door.
"You want to know what the difference between me and you is Mathew? I don't change. I remain the same person. To the public, to my friends, to my enemies. You change constantly to fit your need- If you need to be a good guy, you'll be a good guy. You want to be a bad guy, you'll be a bad guy. What ever it is that brings you to the top, no matter what it is, you do it." He folded his hands across his chest, making it obvious that Mathew wasn't walking out of that classroom by the door- Sure, he could run through a wall, or try, but David had chosen this specific Classroom for a reason. It was a Qi training class, the walls being re-enforced to prevent too much damage from taking place.
"You see, the only reason i can think of as to why you would want my reasons behind anything is to gain some useful little bit of information to carry and use against me in the future. You want it- fine, I'll give it, but since this is personal its going to be a side bargain, one similar to a deal i made with your School Captain at 259. My reason is this- She wants to be free. She has told me so, but is too proud to say it to you. She wants to live like anyone else and have her own choices in things- What i will do with her if i get her from you? I'll do what you obviously don't have the guts to do or are far to blind by your own ambition and need to teach to do- I'll release her. I'll not force her to stand by me, to be around me, I'll let her go and allow her to choose whether she wishes to stay by me. THATS my reason and what I'll do with her."
He smiled.
"If thats not a good enough answer and your seeking more- then you'll need to answer me a question first. What i have told you is what matters here-its a damn good reason in my eyes. You think i mean it as a business deal- your right, i did, because you have treated her like a slave and part of your business because of some petty little bet. If you were half as strong as you claim, you would have released her after you won the fight and told her to follow you if she so wished to learn and be strong. You did not. To me, she is a friend, and i would see her freedom, not act like she owed me something because i got her from you, or because Ive helped her- but because she is my friend."
He leaned against the door-frame.
"That concludes my monologue- if you TRULY feel her of more worth to you then me- then prove it. Let her go, and let her choose to follow you. You'll find her a far more promising student when she decides on her own to learn."
In all of that, he gave no indication to any feelings he might have for her, but made sure it was known that Bastille was his friend. He shrugged. "Then again, i guess trying to teach her a lesson has worked out pretty well for you thus far. You don't want my offer- fine. There won't be another like it, not that that matters. But just think on what i said, Mr High and Mighty, and try to see if my words don't hold some truth."
With that- HE would turn and walk away, looking over at Bastille with a slightly downcast look before sticking his hands in his pockets and making for the cafeteria.

Bastille stared after him with the same bored look on her face. She shifted to stand up straight and sigh heavily. Her crimson eyes closing she began to adjust her jacket around her shoulders. Soft hands flew quickly through her hair before she gave a parting look at either of the two.
“well if that’s over, I have to meet a german and a frenchie for a certain world war III do over…” she said with a bored tone.
It was true she had an appointment with Gabreil Seran and Unfettered over matters of her fencing…but all in due time...she was not going to be late. She was trying to break her bad habits. Captain Trese’ Kondo of the newly formed Amalgam aka Black Hand Assassination Organization didn’t care for weak links and that meant lazy people. Bastille would have to work up to her part again. Conrad and Amico where already apart of the organization it was Bastilles turn to finish high school and then join along with Homi who would work as the onboard nurse. Bastille was content with this fact but she was told she was to be a scout now…looking for alternate agents…In any case…time to go meet the German and the frenchie….their last world war had been interrupted by Germany proclaiming school would begin soon. Bastille took out a shard of the broken porcelain mask in her pocket and tossed it into a trash can.

Mathew just rolled his eyes at Blaze, he was proving to be a fool. He acted like Mathew changing was a bad thing. Adaptation is key to survival. Just look at nature, those that don't adapt die. He was right Mathew would be the Hero, he would be the Monster, he would be anything he needed to be. But there was nothing wrong with that. Blindly holding on to an ideal of self image, that was a sign of weakness. An unwillingness to change, to let the world change around you while you remain the same. No Mathew would gladly change and grow. Yes it would take him to where he wanted to go, but it was better then sitting around and waiting for his desires to come to him.
As for his logic of Bastille wanting to be free but too shy to tell Mathew. That was also bullshit in Mathew's eyes. The way Blaze seemed to think Mathew was ordering Bastille left and right, making her do his bidding. He could count the number of things he had told Bastille to do on one hand. One was join the Reapers with him so that she could be under their protection, the other was to get in to the truck after the bet. And a couple of times he tried to train her, but she just ran away.
No, like with Adrian he really didn't do much with the title of slave. Hell he considered Adrian more of an apprentice, but then again Adrian actually was training. Still if Bastille really wanted freedom she would swallow her pride. After all if she truly felt oppressed asking for it would be no obstacle, not if it was truly what her heart desired.
"Bye Blaze." He said letting the boy walk away. He just shook his head in annoyance at having had his time wasted like this. Then Bastille said she had to make her leave. He was also fine with that.
"Alright Bastille good luck with that. I will call you about more training later. And sorry for wasting your time today, I thought he called us cause he had something serious to talk about." He said with a frown. His mood was shot, he would need to find someone to beat up, or some ice cream. One of the other.
