Woot. Em's first post here, EVAR. I LIEK THIS SEXY PLACE.
It had been a month since Emily left Long Beach for San Francisco, and all she could think of was one person: "Unfettered". How as he? How as 259 doing? She basically had no idea of what happened to Long Beach, and had absolutely no knowledge of the earthquake that caused her previous school's downfall.
Emily settled here, a month ago, to settle family matters. Matter of the heart, as they say. The whole family thing was new to Emily, and she promptly decided to live alone for a while. She wasn't used to having relatives, and it was awkward.
All her life, she thought she had nothing.
Oh well, too late to fret about that though. It was Emily first day inside the school, as Layla had done the job of transferring Emily to PHS 42 herself. It looked like a rather big compound, probably a bit bigger than that of 259.
Oh, what was she thinking! Why was she still comparing this place to 259?
... Simple: Her heart was left there. With that german.
Oh well.
Who knows what might happen?
New school, new people... it's a good start!

It was easy to blend in with this less raunchy crowd. Rem's new look and attitude had done well for him here. Even as a transfer, he was already well thought of by the faculty, though, the students still regarded him as 'one of those transfers'. It mattered not. He liked it here... this school...Moral Crest High. He chuckled a bit at the naming choice, perhaps a gesture of good will on the part of its founders toward the school's future. And, as far as the Japanese youth could tell, it was an appropriate choice. He felt at ease here, more himself. His new self. Rem had passed several of his old transfer schoolmates on several occasion and none of them had even recognized him, so well had his new 'image' conceal his long-dead former self, so well did he now fit in with the more sophisticated clique of PHS #42, that the old Rem seemed more like a dream than a memory.
"Hm...?"
Another, more familiar sight entered his field of vision, coming in his general direction with a less hurried pace. The edges of his mouth curved ever so slightly, whilst his eyes remained as focused and vigilant as ever. Emily, his sister... no, not his sister, she was the last link to his past self, one he could not, or would not let go. She was not related to him by blood, but their sibling tendancies could never be denied. He paused in the middle of the corridor, bowing his head slightly and pushing the bridge of his glasses up as she drew nearer. Yet, she still represented the old Rem. A plan formed in his head, a spur of the moment idea that would solve the dilemma once and for all. Would she recognize him at all? It was true. He had changed so drastically in such a short period of time. He looked different, dressed differently, acted and spoke differently. He had a new hairstyle, and even opted for the bespectacled look, rather than sporting contacts. He'd even gotten the black star tattoo that had, for so many years, been right under his left eye, removed. Would she recognize him? Their bond, his final connection to his former self depended on it.
If she kept walking, unable to recognize him, he would consider it a sign that he should cut her out of his life for good. If she did recognize him, a sign that they were somehow destined to be at each others' sides. For his ambitions drew heavily on people like Emily.

Wowzors! Another day at Moral Crest... It had a catchy sound to it, almost like the place demanded respect which was kind of funny really.
Linda walked aimlessly down the halls. Why you might ask? Well she was just scoping things out so to speak. The School Captain had already broken up two fights that were damaging property, and now she was just trying to find some more familiar faces. So far she knew of only a handful of people that were attending this new school, and the social creature needed to know MORE!
As she wandered a certain girl began to look more and more familiar to her. As she got closer she was able to identify her.
"Emily is that you over there?" She shouted across the hall, there were quite a few people around, but she hoped Emily heard her.

Minding her business, Emily went inside the main building and started looking for her locker. Tough luck, this place had more buildings than 259 ever did. Heh, nothing less from a public school trying to appease the short fuses of the students, no?
It was a while before she heard a loud: "Emily is that you over there?"
She blinked. Isn't that voice from-- "Linda?" She said, looking towards the direction of the voice. "Wa-wa-wait. What are you doing here?"
Of course she asked, she had no idea what went on.
No idea about the earthquake.
Nothing. She had moved here a month before the earthquake so what the hell was going on here?"

Linda looked at Emily shocked.
"What am I doing here?" She chuckled. "The same as everyone else silly. I'm going to school since 259 went down with that Earthquake." She answered Emily's question almost as if it was common news. Linda had no idea that Emily wasn't hear because of the earthquake... but it would be interesting once she found out.
Of course Linda walked over to Emily as she spoke to her, how rude would it have been if she hadn't? It would have been crazy rude and that was just not PC anymore. 259 was all gravy to Linda now, and she needed to lose some fat so why not leave the gravy off of her potatoes?

"What am I doing here?"
Emily blinked. Just what was this girl going to tell her? 259 closed down? Something? ANYTHING? She was slightly distracted for a moment though, looking towards the direction of Rem. She stared at him for a second, recognizing him slightly.
She was hesitant to believe so though, after all... that would mean he had changed THAT drastically in a few month's time. She kept on looking, trying to find any further distinctive features to prove her hypothesis of him being Rem before---
"The same as everyone else silly. I'm going to school since 259 went down with that Earthquake."
Emily's eyes snapped wide open as she turned to meet eyes with the pillar. "WHAT?!" Emily exclaimed, "EARTHQUAKE?!"
Emily grabbed Linda's arms by impulse, not so sure if she was really being gentle. "Earthquake?! 259!? Ha-Ha-has everyone been tra-transferred?!"
She was getting all teary eyed in panic.
"Ha-have you s-seen this guy, with an a-eyepatch with the nazi symbol and white hair like mine... have you?! Please tell me he's not hurt!"
Oh god.
Tough love.

"Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!" Linda shrieked startled by Emily's sudden change in emotional state.
"Um... I dunno who you are talking about. I'm sorry!" She answered Emily as best she could while being shaken and all.
Jesus this girl has got a grip!
"As far as I know only some students were transferred. That's why I am looking around to see who all I know around this place."
Linda just looked at Emily, waiting for some kind of answer. She was clearly shocked and had heard nothing about what happened to 259... Was kinda random. Linda thought everyone knew about the earthquake...

"Um... I dunno who you are talking about. I'm sorry!" As soon as Emily heard that, she stopped shaking Linda and fell on her knees on the floor. People were being idiots and watching this turn of events, but Emily didn't care.
How could she? How could she have left 259?
... and now she's here, worrying over HIM. God forbid, he was caught in that earthquake and died. Oh, god. She had to stop her hyperactive imagination.
"As far as I know only some students were transferred. That's why I am looking around to see who all I know around this place."
Emily didn't answer, and just began to shake. Her body temperature began to fluctuate higher, and if Linda checked, she would be running a fever of 43 degrees. No, she did not just unlock her master Qi... but that was the effect of her emotions.
The girl was tense.
"I... left 259 around... a month ago... only to hear this... I shouldn't have left..." she muttered, staring at the floor.

Linda watched Emily fall to her knees, clearly she had left someone she really cared about behind. It was always hard to leave people behind, twas time for the cheer up to begin.
"Hey Emily don't be so down. Like I said I am looking around to see who transferred. Maybe you should do the same. You know, see if your friend transferred over here too or not?"
Linda stood there looking at Emily. Her look was not one of condemn, it was one of understanding. Maybe Linda wasn't such a bad person after all. Meh, only time would tell. Right now Linda just needed Emily to know that she was still hear listening to her. Linda didn't really consider Emily more than someone she knew, and she doubted Emily expected anything more than that... but perhaps the two had just gotten off on the wrong foot.

...
Yeah, she was right. She shouldn't be so down so fast... after all, if she guessed right, these transfers had happened just recently and -- looks like they made themselves at home quite early.
Emily looked up at Linda, a light smile on her face finally. She pushed herself off the floor, standing up as she did earlier. "T-thanks.... I guess I'll wait a bit."
Hmm. Linda doesn't look to be a pretty bad person after all -- well, Emily never thought she was, but surely Trizen and David might see her like that.
Oh, life.
But still, she couldn't help but worry-- after all, she is in love with the guy.
It was a love pathetically unrequited.

Hmm... Good that seemed to calm her down a bit.
Linda sighed.
"I'm sure you'll find the guy your looking for." Linda said giving Emily a friendly smile. This was a new school, a new place and there was no point in Linda letting old things get to her.
"So Emily what classes are you taking here? Anything interesting?"
Small talk, the greatest way to break the ice. Emily probably had more of a connection to 259 than Linda ever did. After all, Linda was there for only a fraction of the time she had guessed Emily had attended 259. How could she understand her feelings?

"I'm sure you'll find the guy your looking for." Emily smiled, nodding. Aye, seriously, this girl could be like a child at times. It was hard to control emotions on her case, primarily because she is bipolar, but she always tries her best to live through it, regardless.
"So Emily what classes are you taking here? Anything interesting?"
Emily thought for a while. Classes? "Ah, I'm taking some AP Biology and several other sciences. Kinda preparing for formal Nursing School."
Yeah, even though she was more or less able to be a nurse by herself thanks to Layla's guidance, she still had to deal with several other things -- like formality.
College would be fun, but it was still a lonnnnnnng ways off from her at the moment.
Waaaaaay off.

This is interesting news.. Linda had no idea that Emily was even interested in a nursing career. Well, you learn something new everyday I guess.
"Well it sounds like you have everything all planned out then don't cha?" Linda said with a smile. Emily seemed to have her stuff together, one could tell that she was a smart cookie.
Linda looked around, making sure that she wasn't missing anything. Moral Crest was full of fights and it seemed like every time Linda turned her back something was going on.
"Well Em, it's been a pleasure but I got to jet."

"Well it sounds like you have everything all planned out then don't cha?" Emily smiled sleepishly. It sounded like a complement, and it wasn't everyday that a Dragon would compliment her if at all.
"Well Em, it's been a pleasure but I got to jet."
Oh right.
She was most likely the captain again. Not surprising, really. Emily would just smiled and wave as she stood there in thought.
She had many questions as she walked away after Linda would disappear from her sight.
The hallways just replied with the sound of her feet through the now empty corridors, as she went off to find her locker.
