First day at a new school… fantastic. Needless to say TJ wasn’t exactly thrilled about the idea of returning to school after having the time off during the move but it wasn’t as though he had much choice either. So he’d thrown on a dark grey sweatshirt over his black tee, blue jeans that had seen better days with a black belt to hold them up, his normal worn down work boots, some sunglasses and a green wool cap. It part his attire told that he missed the desert sometimes but this city was a the new start, he didn’t have a say either way.
The drive wasn’t long and before he really wished TJ brought the small car to a rest in one of the parking spots. He sighed heavily as the engine shut off. He wasn’t even good at all this school shit, math, history, English… he fucking spoke it, wasn’t that enough? And who cares what happened 800 fucking years ago? And 2X-9=Y… um… what? Yet, he was stuck here since boxing vocational schools didn’t exist. Grabbing his school bag from the passenger’s seat, TJ stepped out after locking the door and dropping the key into his pocket in one swift motion. Now… the long walk to start this joyous day of learning!
Gag me with a fucking spoon.
Of course when taking the time to actually look at the school TJ’s jaw almost dropped off his skull. Holy Frijoles! Did he take a wrong turn and end up at some little college somewhere? This place was huge! It made some of the private schools he’d seen look crappy. A quick shake of the head and TJ made his way toward the center courtyard area between the buildings. Now he was supposed to check in at the office or something to get his schedule and locker and all that shit but there was a wee bit of a problem… where the fuck was the office?

It had been a while since he had arrived at PHS 42. Although the school did exceed his expectations in one too many ways, such as through the outrageously strong students, it held onto an air of peace. Of security almost. The grounds were capacious and the students here had access and freedom to use and enjoy the grounds and the facilities. As long as one could view the school as a relatively nice place- it wasn't so bad.
Lugging along a book, Andrew stood up from his sitting position in the courtyard and began to walk towards the Main Academic Building. On his way over, he noticed a rather well built male student walking into the school grounds. Nice. A new student. The start of a new adventure for some. The start of....what one could call The Purgatory for others. Personally, his time here so far, has been equivalent to running through a forest with random traps every few yards.
Well....nothing could go wrong from a greeting. Thus, Andrew approached the newcomer at a perpendicular angle. Stowing his book, he spoke with a happy voice, friendly almost.
"Hey, it's good to see a new face around the school. Nice to meet you."

Hearing the sound of an approaching voice TJ slowly shifted his gaze to the smaller kid that was apparently trying to be nice. Now being nice wasn’t what he needed right now, helpful was more along the proper lines. Granted the guy couldn’t know what TJ needed help with, but given the small fact he was new it might lend to the lost aspect. So the newer student to PHS 42 turned to the helper and made sure to get what he needed, information.
“Yeeaah, you know where the main office is in this place?”
Simple enough, if the guy knew, if not well… there was the dreadful searching. Obviously TJ was the kind of guy to get to the point of the matter, no plan of any small talk of any kind. He needed to get somewhere and this was going to help, hopefully. After that, TJ was going to go where he needed to go and do what he needed to do to get officially set up in this place. What the other guy did afterward well… free fucking country right.

“Yeeaah, you know where the main office is in this place?”
Ahh- a straightforward man. Well, if that was how he was, then that was how he shall be received. Andy continued smiling as he nodded his head slightly and gestured to his left, towards a building which stood behind the courtyard.
"Over there- although you should try to go around the building to the main entrance. There's a side door if you would prefer a shorter route. And- if there's anything else you need help with, feel free to ask."
He was feeling particularly peachy today. For some odd reason- or another, he felt at ease with his surroundings, himself, and those bruises on his shoulder and wrists. Andrew continued to survey TJ with some anticipation. He would tag along with this newcomer for a short while more before heading to class.

Good man, answered the question right quick and even made mention of a shortcut. Of course there wasn’t going to be any internal debate for TJ on which route, obviously he was going to take the short to avoid wasting any time. TJ shifted his gaze in the proper direction when the guy gestured, nothing all that complicated in the end and they would probably have a map there for later on. He gave a quick nod as he started off toward the building.
“Thanks, man.”
Other than that, TJ was all set and good for now. There was always the chance of some later problem arising but he really didn’t pay much to any sense of preparing for little inconveniences. If the helpful kid decided to tag along for whatever reason, even as simple as mild bored, TJ wasn’t going to be some freak-out psycho. However he might inquire as to why but that would be the end of that. The kid could follow him like a puppy for the entire day if he so choose… just no pissing on the boots. >_>

“Thanks, man.”
He watched as TJ started to head for the shortcut. Of course, everyone enjoyed the shortcut- it was the shortest route after all. However, the feeling of anonymity between them bothered Andrew.
"No problem. By the way, it's nice to meet you, my name is Andy."
He decided to tag along just in case TJ needed to ask about something else. Being new to the school was tough indeed, and some of the students didn't take too kindly to newcomers. It was all- perception and character. If someone in the school disliked or was bothered by someone else's personality, it seemed that they were in for a beat down. However, that didn't always happen.

With this Andy tagging along, TJ gave a little shrug. As mentioned above he really didn’t care either way. But with company often came conversation meaning that he would have to talk about… stuff. TJ wasn’t a big talker by any means of the word.
“Call me TJ.”
Behind the sunglasses TJ’s eyes roamed over the crowd taking little notes all the while, not about who was strong and jump him but more of the ‘potential’ around… if you catch the innuendo. Frankly, if anyone wanted a fight with him all they had to do was ask and he would be more than happy to oblige. To put a clichéd way that every guy probably did, he wasn’t afraid of anyone. It came with the territory of being a boxer, fear of a person was going to cripple you in the ring so you have to think you’re invincible to mortals. Anyway, TJ shot a glance over his shoulder at his guest or guide or whatever… Andy.
“Got nothing better to do right now huh?”
Granted it wasn’t meant how it probably sounded. It would sort of sound like TJ was making fun of the kid for following him around, but really he was curious as to why and how there couldn’t be something more entertaining.

“Got nothing better to do right now huh?”
No…that wasn’t it. Andy knew he had to get to class sometime soon, however helping out the new kid felt like a priority compared to class. If the new kid got lost, and ended up being beaten or getting injured, he would feel guilty. Because he had seen the new guy and had not helped him. Because he could have prevented it.
A slightly sad expression crept over Andy’s face. The prospect of pain and suffering was something which no one should experience. However, world peace is nothing easy. It comes with a price. Probably more bloodshed and death.
He grinned sheepishly before replying
“No, I have something else to attend to. However, I felt like helping you out. That’s all.”
