((OOC: This is cheer leading try outs. You come to "try out". Spectators are allowed, but might be kicked out. So warning on that! <3 ))
Kate had put fliers out all around the school. In all sorts of eye catching colors, and posted everywhere. The blonde was sitting at a table in the gym, typical but needed. She was wearing the cheer leading uniform, and no one else was sitting at the table with her. Kate was the Captain of the team, and her rule was final.
She shuffled some papers and looked around. There were some students milling around in the gym in various gym clothing, waiting to try out. It seemed like the ratio of females to males was 3:1. That was fine with her, as most cheer leading teams needed to be mostly female.
"Alright guys!! SHUT UP FOR TWO SECONDS!!! Line up please, and you start," Kate pointed at some one without looking and pointed to the place in front of the table.
"Dance around, give me a cheer... do something..."[/font]

Matrim was in the gym. He was in the bleachers, with marsh mellows. Sure, most people had popcorn for entertainment, but Matrim was weird. Matrim liked marsh mellows. Preferably over a burning Dani Vega. But she wasn't here, so he'd have to deal with a bag of those really tiny ones that you could grab by the handful. Although, he didn't have mobility to grab handfuls, so instead he would lean his head forward into the shredded open top of the bag and just bob for marsh mellows.
"WOOOOO!" Matrim would yell, "School Spirit!"
Was it necessary for Matrim to be here? Of course it was! He was Varsity Captain. He needed to be there in order to make sure Kate did a good job, and to make sure that his cheer leading team was up to par. After all, Matrim wanted to show them what for with the dancing, since he planned to run around as the school mascot dancing. And he'd be working with the cheer leaders in order to do that.

Why was Mathew here? Well to scope out all of the hotties that tried out for cheer leading? Why was he trying out? To get close to said hotties. After all he would have to help them stretch, and toss them around, spend a lot of time with them, go on trips and share hotels. It was a sacrifice he was willing to make..... for the school.
Mathew stood in line when Kate called for order, his eyes lighting up when Kate pointed to him to start first. Unlike most of the kids he was not in his gym clothing, he figured it was much more impressive this way. He was in Jeans and a T shirt, his dull green duster coat known as the trench coat still on his figure. This really had been an impulsive choice for him. But he was the Student Body President, he would be able to handle himself.
He didn't really know what he was going to say for a cheer so instead he would show off his physical capabilities to start off. Mathew would walk away from the line, giving himself a bit of room so he didn't hurt anyone. Then Mathew did a standing back flip, followed by another, and another. Moving backwards as he did so giving him even more distance. When he felt that he had enough distance he then ran forward before diving forward, his body turning the dive in to a roll, his hands pressed against the floor springing his body upwards in to what would have been a donkey kick, but he let his body fall, his weight shifting as he moved his body swinging it so that his body was spinning in a break dance style. He built up more momentum before pushing his arms up sending his body up off of the ground, his body twisting on the air as he rotated. He had to close his eyes so he wouldn't get dizzy.
When he started to descend his rotations slowed down and he opened his eyes, his hands shooting downwards slamming in to the ground to catch himself, causing him to be in push up position, he would twist his body again so he was on his back before bringing his legs up to his chin and shooting them outwards as he rocked his body so that he could flip from his back on to his feet, his demonstration done.
"Oh." He said as an afterthought. "Give me a P. Give me an H. Give me an S. Give me a 4. Give me a 2. Whats that spell!? PHS 42!" He grinned when he was done, the cheer was lackluster. But he didn't even know what the mascot was yet.

Kate was a little shocked. Mathew was trying out for the cheer squad. Matrim was in the bleachers, which was a given, but Mathew was trying out for the cheer squad. She watched him, even though she already knew he had the physical abilities to be on this team... just didn't know he had the will.
"You're on like Donkey Kong."
Which of course meant that Mathew was on the team. She was smiling at him, almost grinning ear to ear. The pale girl lifted an eyebrow at him, chuckling under her breath.
"Practice is tomorrow right after school, out on the field. Don't be late darling.... NEXT!!!"
Onward to the next person, whom she assumed would step up and do something. Instead she got a chubby, nerdy girl in glasses who tried to dance around but looked rather pitiful. Kate didn't even say anything, just pointed to the door.
"NEXT."

Cheerleading?
Raine was more of a dancer, not exactly a lover, not exactly a fighter, but she definately believed she was not a cheerleader. At least, that was what she thought. Then again, she remembered the times where she went to the pep rally at her old school where the girls were throwing up stunts. Raine definately would love to try stunting and throwing people up into basket-tosses, torches, libs, arabalesques and what not. It was really cool, plus it took lots of physical energy, endurance, and of course, team spirit. With a lot of extra energy to spare, knowledge of basic tumbling and a mind that was meant for choreography, Raine wanted to maybe just give it a shot.
Dressed in a fitted t-shirt and black spandex shorts with white sneakers, Raine looked around nervously as she tried to think of a cheer in her head. Freestyling a dance would not be too hard, but a cheer!?
After a few guys, and a curvy girl with glasses, the pretty blonde called 'Next' which meant Raine was up next.
Confidence, and energy, that's what she needed!
With a bright smile Raine started off with a cheer she had from the top of her head.
"Hey crowd! How's it going? Muah" Raine would shout with blowing a kiss with the latter portion of the sentence. After all, cheerleaders all had those cheesy facial expression that helped them score points at competitions no? "Are you ready to get real loud? We're Crest high and we're here to show that the best is fourty-two. Who? Fourty two let's hear you! Fourty- two!"
Ending the cheer off with a toe-touch, which was actually called a Russian in dance, Raine added in a few hip-hop dance moves with a variation of sharp and fluid movements before she did a round-off back hand spring. Though, she could not do a full, after all that was the extent in which she was trained in for break dancing.

Now pray tell would Kanika be in the gym at this time? She knew it was cheerleading tryouts. But cheerleaders did nothing for soccer of baseball teams, so she shouldn't care, right? Really, she was just a fan of high kicks. Blame DOA commercials. Damn team ninja and their independent breast physics that made woman look like the shoved two ferrets and a glowstick down their shirts. Sidetracking thoughts aside, she was here because she figured it'd be fun to watch. She wouldn't be caught dead cheerleading though. Skirts baaaad. Pants gooood.
So she went up into the bleachers. And she immediately spied two casts. It was Matrim. Mr. Varsity Captain. And the soccer team captain. Which meant, she was taking orders from him. At least when it came to sports. And he was habitually faceplanting a bag of marshmellow. Not a bad setup if she did say so herself. She'd just rather have Reese's Pieces. Peanut butter and chocolate for the absolute win.
"Yo Mat!" She called out and waved, jogging up the stairs to join her captain. She didn't know too many people yet. And spectator sports were always best viewed with friends. How else were you supposed to get snarky commentary. But for the most part, she'd likely find a lot of this stuff to be chesey and overdone. She dropped down next to him and relaxed, leaning on one shoulder. "What's up? Didn't miss too much did I?"

OOC: Apologies for the long read. Kind of got carried away.
California was truly a foreign place.
Gareth Adawolf Rahkier. His full name, though he really preferred it when people just called him by his first name, his last name, or even by the nickname he told everyone, "Wolf." The man looked no different than his times on the broken streets of Mostar, but what had once earned him the reverence of a King now no more distinguished him anymore than that of another commoner. Granted, his physique was enough to make a statue blush, and his clothing was custom and cleaned, but his individuality was now just one more flower surrounded by many others. He was just another grain of sand in a wide spectrum of colors.
And so, as the fresh immigrant walked through the courtyard of his new public high school - an impressive facility - he needed some way to either converge with others or stand out. Frankly, he was hoping for a way to do both. His pride depended on it. Whenever he wasn't busy glancing at the countless women attending the school, though, he realized rather quickly that something fairly important was gathering. He wondered what it was, so naturally, he asked.
Poking the nearest boy, a scrawny looking sophomore child with far too much make up and cheer, Rahkier asked when he drew the boy's attention, "Excuse me, vat is dis here?"
The boy's brown eyes glanced up at him with a frown and just stared for a while. He was probably enjoying the sight of Gareth's open shirt, revealing his incredible build, or perhaps his impressive chin. Or maybe he was feeling nausea from the cigarette in his hand, it was always hard to tell the difference between desire and disgust - and sometimes, there was no difference. Eventually though, he just responded with a condescending tone.
"Oh, you must be new here or something. Well... this is the cheerleader tryouts, reserved for just about THE best."
Rahkier stared back down at the small boy as he recalled his own cheerleading events back in Germany. He had never been a part of a squad, oh no, nor had he been in any sports, but he did remember watching competitions between some of the nation's beautiful girls with pom poms. It was not a very distinguished recreation in that part of the world, but it was enough to make any boy grin.
"So, vhy are you trying out?" Gareth asked with a pull of his cigarette.
"Why? Because the girls need support, that's why! Team spirit sonny! And I'm gonna be right there with them, cheering away! Plus, they need guys like me to hold them up, and that has some real benefits, for real."
It was at that moment that Rahkier realized exactly what he was talking about. It had plenty of benefits: being part of a team, getting to show off one's own abilities, and most important of all, tossing around incredibly sexy women that have no other men around but you.
"Oh yes, I dink I like this sport." Rahkier responded in a grin, having decided from the very beginning that hiding his German accent had no benefit whatsoever.
"Good! Now get in -- wait, what are you doing?!"
The boy had been trying to tell Rahkier to stand right behind him, but alas, he had no intention to do so. Lines were for those who gave a damn about the rule of others, and since Rahkier had no patience for such, he made his quick march for the very front of the line. Several yells of frustration and anger followed him, and one Football player out of season even tried to stand in his way, only to be knocked across the jaw in the process, bringing a wide grin to the immigrant's face. So of course, it wasn't long before Mr. Rahkier was standing before the long line of men and women, the judging girl, and the girl who was trying out at the time.
"Ms. Cheerleader voman, I am Volf. And nov I vill profe to you vhy you'll need me for your team!"
At that, Rahkier clashed his fists together in a sudden bit of energy and false rage, a sudden spark of electricity bounding through every inch of his arms as legs as the heavily chiseled legs bound into a striking pose. Howling in the cry of a wolf, Rahkier commanded the crowd, "Cry vith me! Hovl vith me! Dis is the Mighty Moral Crest High! Ve are de best! No oder can best us! Hovl vith me! Dis is our battle cry! For ve are de Mighty Moral Crest High, and no one can stand above us!"
Suddenly, as if not even Rahkier can anticipated it, his hands rushed forward to grip the waist of the girl who had been trying out, the girl named Raine, and without hesitation, pulled her and tossed her body up into the air clear above Rahkier, as if she had been on a trampoline. Had he not the precision, she would have easily fallen onto him, but with a sudden bout of power and dexterity, Gareth's hands were widespread and supportive of her legs as his biceps worked hard to support her weight and hold her high into the air all at once. He waved her high as he continued to yell loudly, continuing the battlecry for all to hear.
"YES! Ve are Moral Crest High! And no one can best us! None! YES!"
And with that, though with considerable sensitivity, Rahkier could slide the girl down from his grasp, dropping her down, grabbing her by the waist, and planting her on the ground in front of him, before taking a bow and stepping aside.

I was SO excited when I heard about the cheerleading squad~! There was no way in hell that I was going to miss out on something as fun as that! I totally, one hundred percent, knew that I was born for these kinds of things. And I had showed up on time. While yes, I was a bit of a tomboy, that didn't mean I didn't like some girly things~! Besides, I knew that it was quite possible I could gain some valuable friendships through it~! I hoped so anyways. I was definitely lacking friends at this new school.
I came dressed to fit the part, I wasn't sure what exactly would be done here this day, so I had thrown a pair of black track pants on, with a single yellow stripe down both pant legs. They were my favorite pair~! And a black sports bra hugged my assets, a red button down hung over my shoulders, the fronts tied in a knot, resting against just above my belly button. My tennis shoes were the only thing I regretted bringing, due to the fact that they were white, and they were definitely going to end up getting dirty~!
I'd push those silly thoughts out of my head though, because I was here to do one thing, and one thing only. I wanted on this cheer-leading squad~! I had been standing, waiting and watching. The only person I recognized in the least bit, even though he looked slightly different without all those Glowies was Mathew. The male that had so rudely interrupted my schemes at that rave~! I'd forgive him though~! I never once pictured he'd be the cheerleading type! Soon enough though, it would be my turn to show my stuff. I'd wait for the go ahead, and then move up and center.
"Moral Crest~! We're the best~! Put the all other schools to rest~! Scream it, scream it~! You all know then name~! MORAL CREST CAME TO BRING THE GAME~!" I got all into it too as I shouted out whatever came to mind~! Every time I mentioned 'Moral Crest' I'd form an M with my arms, followed by a C. I felt like I was partially performing the YMCA dance, but I totally didn't care~! And I'd pull off a little dance in between. The final word would cause me to jump high into the air, throwing my arms wide and scrunching my knees up slightly behind me, before I'd catch myself and throw a huge shining smile toward the girl he assumed was running the show.

Adrian would walk into the gym, just in time to see Mathew flipping around on the gym floor. Adrian laughed, maybe a little too loud, and would probably draw notice to himself. If Kate looked up and saw him, he would wave, mock-sheepishly.
Adrian would make his way up into the bleachers, sitting on the other side of Matrim and his bag of marshmallows. As he regarded the varsity captain, sitting there with an open bag of marshmallows, the first thing he wondered was, of course, why marshmallows? The thought was quickly pushed from his mind, however, as the second thought came in: Those look pretty damn delicious right now.
"Hey, man, mind if I have some-"
Adrian would outright refuse to finish his sentence after seeing Matrim, who had no arms to use in digging out said marshmallows, simply dip his head into the bag and take a bit mouthful directly from it.
"Ehhh, nevermind."
Adrian, despite how mildy grossed out he was, still found it amusing, and let out a chuckle. There was something very likeable about the Varsity Captain. Maybe not so much as the Cheer Captain down below, but, he was alright.
Adrian sat back and watched the girls and guys strutting their stuff, very amused that, somehow, Kate had found her way into being the Cheer Captain. He shook his head, snickering again, more to himself at the thought of it. Here he was, American Football team captain, and she was leading the Cheerleader Team. If that wasn't just perfect, he didn't know what was.
Adrian would eye the marshmallows again, at least until Matrim took another inhaling mouthful, whereupon Adrian would shake his head, and decide instead just to watch the tryouts without food for the time being.

It was worth coming here. Kanika was already having a fantastic time as she got to watch the 'Vig Vad Volf' completely steal the show that some other girl had put on. By lifting her and just turning her display into a display of MANLINESS. In all caps. Because caps were cruise control for cool, and that guy deserved them. Maybe he wasn't cool in a traditional sense, like a James Bond or Richard Hammond, but he was awesome for just barging in and taking the girl by surprise. She would totally approve of him being a cheerleader, if only they let him yell out everything. She hadn't heard that many V's since a certain movie about a Vendetta.
Then came Kyria. They'd gotten into a bit of an intense spar in Lincoln Park. And Kanika got the worst of it. But she got to learn what a real fight could be like, so it had been a major learning experience. There was blood, sweat, and ripped tops. It had all the ingredients of a proper catfight, though it hadn't been that unrefined. They'd both had some form of fight training. Kanika's had just been inferior. But as the girl finished her own display, Kanika stood up and raised both arms in the air, showing her support. "WHOOOOOOOH!" Eloquent, but still effective. The 'woo' was still a staple of modern communication.
That's when some guy walked up and sat on the other side of Matrim. She had no bloody idea who he was. Probably some sportsman though. He was a chum of the Varsity Captain after all. And she could guess exactly why he was here; bewbs. And she couldn't blame him. They could be considered the real Pom Poms. Though the guy was probably only scoping one girl in particular. Sportsman/cheerleader was the classic combination. As unoriginal as it may get, it wasn't going to go away anytime soon.

Emily was a little nervous. Who wouldn't? After all, Layla had caught wind of her actually considering the notion of joining the school cheerleading squad and demanded her to wear an anime cosplay for this occasion -- anyone whom had seen Lucky star may even recognize her hair; set into two ponytails. Okay, now she was getting somewhat uncomfortable. The skirt was too short. Maybe it was too late for that, as Kari had already half-exposed her to the entire school population. What a day that was. God, Emily would rather not remember that. It was nice that no one really asked her about it, and that guy managed to stop pestering her. Ha, Kari got her real good there. Eh? "Hey, hey. You're next!""Wha? Me? OH!" Emily dashed off and stood at the center of the gym, slightly blushing. Damn it, Layla. She stood there for a good second before she began to sing her own render of a school cheer. It was her first time trying to dance in public -- back in japan it was HER being cheered on because she was an athlete. And now-- Oh god, she was (hopefully) going to be a cheerleader. A deep breath, and she flipped forward, doing somersaults before stopping, beginning her cheer: "Green and black we are back! Gonna beat you good it's understood! Shame on you, shame on you! We're gonna run after you!"Her movements were graceful, though repetitive. It was obvious she had no experience, but definitely had potential at least. Of course, it was up to the Cheer leading captain. After all, who wouldn't try to at least train her to use her acrobatic abilities to good use? "Gotta take what's ours this fights not gonna last for hours You better know what's good for you We're P-H-S We're Fourty-two!!"... Awkward silence. God, she felt like she sucked. T___T I'm not good at choreography. >>;

There were plenty of people here, in fact, more than Kate had thought would show. She wasn't paying much attention to the bleachers, and thus did not see the male who was in a way toying with her heart... as much as she was toying with his. Next was a cute little Asian girl, she wasn't a cheerleader already, but she could be molded into one. Kate was about to tell her to go ahead and be done, since she was accepted. However, a male, with a very nice body indeed stepped up and joined in suddenly. Kate suddenly sat straighter, a smirk upon those full lips of hers.
"You're both in, practice starts tomorrow after school on the field. Don't be late."
There was a sparkle to Kate's eyes. Two guys, and two girls thus far. The pale woman kept on smirking as the next came up to bat. The next was a tomboy looking girl, but with enough energy to take her far. Kate watched her and nodded, repeating herself once again. That made three girls, and two guys. Following her was a cute little thing, she tried really hard which was good enough for Kate. The blonde nodded to her as well, and told her to show up to practice.
"NEXT!"

"This is all..... rather disturbing......" Mat said. Feeling a little ill that Matthew was a cheer leader. His respect for him was borderline now, but he wondered if it might be a ploy to get in good with the cheerleaders. He only hoped that Mathew would come to his senses and join a sport instead. Even if he'd need to take off his trench coat to put on some football pads. It was better then not having any players. "I'm not sure what to make of it all........."
Matrim then face planted the marshmellows again, something that would seem almost wrong to everyone else. When he came back up with a mouth full, his mouth couldn't even shut completely due to the sheer amount of marsh mellows. They were scattering out of his mouth like crumbs slowly as he chewed. His eyes incredibly intense as more cheer leaders tried out.
"Are you ready to get real loud? We're Crest high and we're here to show that the best is fourty-two. Who? Fourty two let's hear you! Fourty- two!"
"Horty Who!" Matrim yelled with a stuffed mouth, tons of mini-marshmellows pouring out as he chewed them.
"Yo Mat!" Said the girl he had met before. He was going to start calling his team mates and such by their last names. Of course, he wasn't sure if she was going to make the cut quite yet.
"Hello Stryker," He said after managing to swallow the remaining bits of marshmellow, "Come to join cheer leading? Only need to cheer for the American football games, so it'll work out if you want to. Might even make you a more flexible goalie. You could even learn to cheer us on in the middle of a game!"
"Cry vith me! Hovl vith me! Dis is the Mighty Moral Crest High! Ve are de best! No oder can best us! Hovl vith me! Dis is our battle cry! For ve are de Mighty Moral Crest High, and no one can stand above us!"
"I vanna vin!" Matrim yelled, not mocking the accent, but becoming overcome by the sheer energy emitted by the guy.
"Moral Crest~! We're the best~! Put the all other schools to rest~! Scream it, scream it~! You all know then name~! MORAL CREST CAME TO BRING THE GAME~!"
"WOOOO! Moral CREST!" Matrim yelled, the last part was a hesitated deep voice. Sort of a more manly gangster way of saying the school name. He smiled and giggled a little bit, "I just love these American cheers. They're so.... cheery."
"Hey, man, mind if I have some-" Matrim would turn to him with another mouthful in him, they would be pouring out slowly as he had re-stuffed his mouth with entirely too many of them, "Ehhh, nevermind."
Matrim would nod in approval of his decision to give up on asking and look back to the floor to see more dancing, more cheering, more excitement. Even Stryker was getting excited, yelling out a 'Woo!' somewhere in the midst of all this. And then the former School Captain showed up to try, and sure she may not have been the most skilled looking cheerleader, damn it all if she didn't just try her hardest.
"Gotta take what's ours this fights not gonna last for hours You better know what's good for you We're P-H-S We're Fourty-two!!"
"Yesh we ahh! We Kck ash!" Matrim would muffle through the spilling marsh mellows, chewing them as they fell back into the bag they had originally come from. Matrim smiled widely looking around at the rest of the people in the crowd. He was excited for this year, he knew it was going to be amazing, he could tell already. Just so long as these people could work together and get a good routine going.

Adrian, after seeing the marshmallow debacle, immediately went to his cell phone. He input a number, and quickly his hands flew over the slide-out QWERTY keyboard, sending a text message to... someone.
After the last performance, someone came in, a fairly well-dressed guy, with a bag of popcorn in his hand. He came up to Adrian, bowing somewhat, and held out the bag to him.
"Thanks, Brutus," he said, slipping a fifty dollar bill into the man's shirt pocket. Brutus nodded again, slipping out just as quickly as he entered. Adrian smiled and began to munch of the popcorn. Ahhh, ninja servants. How useful they could be.
He watched the cheer tryouts, laughing and rooting anytime it felt appropriate, shooting his arm into the air to cheer on the guys and girls, especially the goofy German. However, during a lull in the tryouts, Adrian got a rather devious thought. He stood up suddenly, popcorn in hand, and called out to the floor.
"Hey!" He began, his vicious grin covering almost his entire face. "I think we should see what the cheer captain's got in her! Let's see a routine!!"
Adrian laughed, remaining standing for Kate to turn around and see him there. If she hadn't noticed him walking in, oh, she'd notice him now. He was gonna catch hell for this, for sure, but he knew it'd be worth it.

Really? Her eyes spotted Adrian right away when he started up the idea of her doing a routine as well. He wanted to play it that way huh? The blonde male would pay for this later, really he would. But it seemed like everyone was staring at her now, trying to get her to do some sort of routine.
Fine, they'd get a bloody routine then!!!
She got up from her seat, and walked around the table until she was standing where everyone else had tried out. But instead of facing her seat, as the others had, the blonde looked at the crowd. A smile on her lips that was full of school spirit!!! Yeah right.
Kate stood perfectly still, poised with her back straight, knees slightly bent, etc. Her hands came up and clapped together. She seemed like a perfect old school cheerleader in that moment.
Until she flipped backward quickly, and landed on her feet. She had even grabbed her pom poms off the table. She raised these and yelled.
"CAN I GET AN M C?"
Some of the crowd got it right away and yelled MC back at her. Moral Crest of course. Dur.
"I SAID.... CAN I GET AN M C?"
As soon as more people roared at her shaking pom poms, Kate did a mix of cart wheels, flips, round house, forward, backward, etc, pom pom shaking, smiling combo. She didn't breakdance. But there was lots of kicking in the air, and getting the crowd to scream MC louder and louder.
She finished with a backward flip into a perfect split and smiled for the whole damned thing. Then she got up and returned to business mode. The crowd calmed down in an instant.
" If there is anyone else who would like to try out, consider this your last call."
