Outside a small outdoor cafe, Sara dropped her head onto the table she was sitting at. Why was she here? Oh yeah. 'Cuz she was an impulsive idiot. She sighed, closing her eyes, feeling the cool table against her forehead.
She had been soo bored this morning. There was nothing to do, and pretty much no one to hang out with. Everyone was either busy or gone off somewhere. So she had pulled out the last resort. Last resort not in the bad way. In the way that she had been so nervous about asking him. Stu.
But she had been desperate, at the desperation made her impulsive. She had sent him a text asking him to meet her here. Without waiting for an answer, she had left the house. She figured even if he didn't show up, then at least going out would give her something to do. But it was almost time for him to get here if he was coming. And she was nervous and awkward. She felt like an idiot.

Stu had received the text. He smiled, knowing that an unknown number may have meant her, and it happened to be Sara. He added it to his address book before walking out the door.
About 10 minutes later he strolled down the sidewalk towards the cafe that she had picked out. He saw her hair, and saw her face down. He got worried for a second. He walked over, and sat down quietly, making as little noise as possible.
And there he waited. He watched her, giggling inwardly at her actions, but said nothing. Instead he leaned back, and awaited her to raise her head for him to see. He was being goofy, yes, but she was the one with her resting on a table.

Sara reached up onto the table, her hand hand grasping onto the coffee she knew was in front of her. She pulled it slowly towards her, and lifted her head, elbows resting on the table. Her eyes opened as she lifted the cup to her lips to take a sip.
She jumped, letting out a startled gasp, seeing him sitting across the table from her, spilling her coffee onto her right hand and table. She hadn't seen or heard him arrive. Well at least it hadn't been hot. Her left hand moved to her face, rubbing her eyes in embarrassment. She hadn't realized that he had shown up.
She let out an embarrassed giggle. "Shit... You scared me. Hey. How long have you been here?"

Stu handed her a napkin to clean her hand off as he himself sopped up some of the spilled coffee from the table. He laughed a bit, not condescendingly, and waved a waitress over, to order them two more coffees.
He rested both arms on the table, leaning forwards slightly, and looked at her.
"Shit... You scared me. Hey. How long have you been here?"
"Only a few seconds. I wanted to see how long it would take you. Plus, I didn't want to wake you up if you were taking a nap. That would've been rude."
He laughed lightly, and looked towards her again. She was pretty, there was no doubt about it. He felt a grumbling inside, but he suppressed it. He had just met her. No reason to go all romantic already. This was just them hanging out.
Right?
"But anyways, how have you been? Good, I hope."

She took the napkin he held out to her, blushing deeply. That had sucked... He laughed, but it wasn't a mean laugh. He sounded like he was enjoying himself. It made her smile to as she tried to wipe the coffee up.
She finished wiping up her mess and dropped the napkins on the side of the table. She looked up and met his eyes briefly before turning away again giggling nervously again. She felt like a nerd...
"That would've been rude."
She turned back to him again, a real smile lighting up her face as she replied. "Well thanks so much, 'cuz it was so kind to scare me like that." She let out a laugh. Being able to use sarcasm and joke around had made her feel a lot more comfortable. Maybe he didn't think she was an idiot for calling him.
"But anyways, how have you been? Good, I hope."
She dropped her hands into her lap leaning back in her chair as she sighed. "Ya, I've been ok. Good. It's been a slow day. Normally I'm perfectly fine when there's nothing to do... But today... Man, I was just going insane~ I needed to get out." She looked around at the people. It was quiet today. "So, I'm glad you came." She smiled. "How about you? How have you been?"

"I'm glad I came too."
He watched as the waitress came, dropping off their drinks. The entire time, however, his eyes kept roving back to Sara, somewhat diminutive, meek, nervous, and shy.
Just like he was.
But something in her demeanor gave him courage, for whatever reason, and he continued talking, engaging her, and quizzing her on her life and whatnot.
"So... we really don't know much about each other. Who is Sara? What is your last name!? What do you do? What's your favorite color? Let me get to know you. You're fascinating."

"PFFFFT"
Sara started to laugh. Fascinating was something she was not. She pulled her coffee towards her adding a ton of sugar. It just wasn't coffee without a shit load of sugar. She continued to giggle, her face flushing red. Even if she didn't think she was, a compliment was still a compliment.
"Sara Quinn. I'm 17. I'm a student... Obviously." She gave another giggle and looked at him, her eyes meeting his. "My favorite color is green. Ummm... I'm a pretty boring person. I like to fight? A lot?" She let out another laugh, enjoying the attention. "I'm a better listener then I am talker, I tend to get shy really easily."
Still, under the smiles and giggling, she was slightly suspicious. He seemed very interested in her and she wondered why. Sara honestly didn't see herself as particularly likable. She had anger problems, impulse problems, and whack of other stuff that she considered to be negatives. Although he couldn't know that, she wondered if there was something else to this. Some ulterior motive that she didn't know about. And yet... She would continue because she was enjoying herself.
"What about you? I'm pretty curious as well, you seem to be a very interesting person." She gave him a little wink and laughed again.

He listened intently, drinking his coffee black, more focussed on her than the scalding hot liquid that ran down his throat. He smiled as she revealed herself, really more interesting than she ever gave herself credit for.
He laughed lightly at the last part, more of a happy sigh, and then decided to answer the question that she gave him, laughing alongside her wink.
"Well, name's Stuart, Stuart Pott. I'm 18, also a student, graduating this year, actually. I uhh, also like the color green." A slight blush here, honestly not trying to match her answer but the fates were against him here. "I used to like to fight. I have my own anger problems, and some attachment problems, but I'm working through them.
And I don't think you're boring at all. You're one of the nicest people I've met here. You actually have sat down and talked to me... You're the first girl to do that since Olesya."
He visibly flinched here, drudging up bad memories of the times he had fought with the girl he had loved, no longer wanting to remember her, wanting very little to do with her outside of the Militia.

As she finished talking she took a chance to take a sip of her coffee. She wondered what he would tell her. He had been extremely open during their last meeting, and wondered how much more he would share this time. She really did find him interesting. If what he said about changing his ways were true. Which she assumed were as he hadn't attacked her yet.
Their first meeting had been an all out brawl, and that had sucked. Their last meeting had been pretty heated as well. But if he was telling the truth, then he was... amazing. She smiled. People like him made her happy.
He laughed with her and then began to speak. She sipped the hot coffee adding more sugar as he spoke, keeping her eyes on him. She caught his blush and smiled when he said he liked green. Well who wouldn't~? It's only the greatest color on earth~
He complimented her again and she gave another nervous giggle, blushing and looking away. Typical girl, she couldn't take compliments. Any girl who is ever given a compliment feels compelled to spill some dirty little secret. You're beautiful... I killed a man... That's a lovely shirt... I farted in the bathroom...
And she would have said something like that... not the farting part... because Sara didn't fart... ew... When she noticed him flinch at the sound of what she assumed was his ex's name.
On instinct, she tried to make physical contact to comfort him. Her leg slid forward under the table and rested against his leg. Contact always made it better. And then she tried to change the subject, smiling and trying to make him happier.
"So no more fighting for you~?" She mocked a sniffle and pouted at him. Yes... Her leg against his, offering to fight him... ~Sara was a really oblivious person wasn't she~?

He looked up as he felt her leg touch his. His heart began racing, and blood surged to.... his every point in his body. He coughed slightly, then heard the taunt.
"So no more fighting for you~?"
Oh... She didn't just.
He grinned mischievously. His other foot snaked around, resting his leg against hers, his foot slowly wrapping around, readying to pull her leg out should she make a move.
"Oh I still fight.... I mean, I got you good quite a few times just the other day."
He sat his hand down on the table, seeing if she'd go for it. Would she? Who knew... but their meeting was about to get more interesting.

Sara pouted, trying to hold in a giggle, her leg against his when she felt his other leg meet hers. Was it just her, or did it seem like his foot had wrapped around it? There was a slight pressure, but that was either from him simply resting it there... or he was ready to pull out her leg. Her eyes met his, dropping the pout. It was replaced with a secretive smile. Oh, it was on. Either way, this was about to get good.
"Oh I still fight.... I mean, I got you good quite a few times just the other day."
Her smile widened. He did not just go there. And yet... She wasn't offended as she normally would have been. She was intrigued. It seemed to her that this was turning into a game. And boy~She loved games. It seemed innocent enough to, in the way that they would still come out of this as friends.
Sara noticed his hand set on the table out of the corner of her eye. This was looking to her like a dare~ She chuckled, leaning forward, pressing her leg back against his foot, her other leg pushing harder against his. Her one arm rested on the table and she leaned on it, her chest pushing upwards as her other hand played with her bangs, then, as though it was completely natural, dropped down on top of his hand, her fingers on his wrist, ready to grasp it if he tried something. Oh yeah~She was calling him on it.
"I got my own fair share in last time to though~" She tilted her head to the side.

His heart beat faster, her touch sending shivers down his spine, heightening his senses. He felt each digit curl around his wrist, and he smiled, returning hers. Her legs tensed against his, and he felt his own tensing up.
She taunted him, her hand delicately strolling along his skin. He laughed a bit at her statement... And he decided to act.
"You did... and I still taste the copper taste of the blood. But I won't let you beat on me that again."
She would hopefully not expect what he was going to do. He pulled back with both legs, hopefully pulling her slightly downwards, and her pressure on the table would be removed. With that, his left arm would shoot under the table and lift it, throwing it into the air.
He would then jump away from her, and fall into his defensive stance, bopping on his feet, readying for her strike. People around them would begin to scatter, trying to get away from the random spout of violence.
It would be interesting, to say the least.

To say she was enjoying this would be an understatement. She didn't know exactly what "this" was, but she could tell it was about to get good as she felt his leg tense against hers. She shivered, tingles flying down her spine as she realized that it was going to start now.
"You did... and I still taste the copper taste of the blood. But I won't let you beat on me that again."
Before she could comment back, continuing their little spar, he tugged back on her legs. She was caught completely off guard and she slipped off the table, falling lower in her chair.
And good thing she did, because next thing she knew, there was no table in front of her, and people were running away. She heard the loud bang of the table hitting the ground somewhere off to the side.
Her heart was beating out of her chest as she watched him get into a defensive stance. Oh, it was on... She stood up, taking a few slow steps towards him. She stopped, cocked her hip, placing her hand on it, and smiled at him.
"I hope you're ready for what you just started."
Then she grabbing his chair and whipped it at him, as hard and fast as she could, and took off, following closely behind it. She drew her right fist back, preparing to slam it into his abdomen whether he dodged the chair or not.

Stu laughed at the position, the pissed of girl, the entire air of everything. Blood surged throughout his body as he warmed up, readying to fight her again.
Then the chair came at him. He wasn't fast enough to dodge it, not in any shape way or form. Instead he began to turn, grabbing the chair out of the air, bending his finger painfully in the process, before he completed his spin, the chair whizzing around and towards Sara, he kept it in hand however, and used it as cudgel.
Should he dodge, which she very well could, he would be happy. He thought that hitting her with it might be extreme, but not fighting to his best would only upset her.
He was hoping that the chair would catch her before she closed the gap, her speed a bit more than his. He had no defense against the punch, but if she was that close, the chair was guaranteed to hit her. And he knew he was stronger than she was.

As Sara followed behind the chair she had thrown, she noticed him begin to turn. He couldn't dodge it, it was obvious, but she couldn't think of what he was going to do. Until he grabbed it, using the momentum to turn around and then used it as a shield of sorts.
Now no matter what, when someone had a chair as a shield, it didn't bode well. A chair had legs, and the legs could be used as a weapon, as could the chair itself.
But she was quick, and she could dodge. But what to do once she dodged, an which way to go? Well now that she had stopped to consider, it was to late. No place left to go but down if she wanted to have any chance at an attack.
She abandoned the punch, and let her legs collapse under her, and she slid along the ground, her feet straight out in front of her to kick his legs out. This probably wasn't the smartest thing to do, with the chance of both him and the chair falling on her, but she was really stumped on this one. She hadn't expected him to catch the chair. But this was fine~This was a simple spar, not an all out brawl to beat the shit out of each other. But she did expect him to not hold back. That would be disrespectful~
