"What I am doing is saving your ass from being knocked out."
Sara glared up at him, disgusted that he would think he had the right to interfere in the affairs of the students, just because he was the Student Body President. And he had the nerve to insult her, AND threaten her. All in one shot. Who the hell did he think he was?! She really wished she had a padlock to throw at him.
She dropped her head, resting it on her arms that were wrapped around her legs. He shouldn't have interfered. Now she was going to go insane wondering who would have won. She didn't want that. She should have beaten the crap out of him faster.
"You're welcome by the way."
Sara looked up at him, the first thing she saw being his hand. He was offering to help her up. How sweet~ NOT. She knew damn well what he was doing. He was trying to make this more humiliating for her. Well... No. She had no ideas on how to work this against him. Either she took it and it looked good for both of them, or she ignored it and it looked bad on her.
She reached up and took his hand, pulling herself to her feet. When she was up, she let go and began to brush the dirt off her clothes. "I... uh.. Ya, thanks." She turned away from him, slamming her locker to make sure it was closed.

So she can be reasonable after all.
He thought with an amused grin when she took his hand. He pulled her up, no tricks or anything. He was doing some PR, that's why he was helping her up. Well that and rubbing salt in the wound. He did enjoy killing two birds with one stone, it made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Like when he climbed the rope in Gym class.
"So you can be civil." He said with a small laugh, his voice was quiet enough though. He wasn't talking loudly so everyone could hear, mostly aiming for just her, but if anyone else was really close he couldn't help it.
"You want to fight that's fine, keep it off school grounds though. Next time I might not be so nice." He said, it was clearly a warning, both from his tone and the words he used. She may think him a monster or an animal after their first meeting, but he was a monster that was going to guard this school. Off grounds it would be business as normal, but while he was on this plot of land, he was one of the good guys. In a manner of speaking at least.

After Sara ensured that her locker was closed, and she had taken a deep breath to calm herself over having been civil to him, she slowly turned to face him. Her hand dropped her lock slowly, her fingers playing over it gently, wishing that she could just whip it at his head again. But she wouldn't. She had to admit, she had appreciated the fact that he had taken her to the nurses office the last time they had fought. She dropped the lock, pushing the idea from her head, and faced him fully, her gaze meeting his.
"So you can be civil."
He spoke quietly, and she was sure no one else had heard him. Her anger flared.
"You want to fight that's fine, keep it off school grounds though. Next time I might not be so nice."
What an ass... He thought he was so big and touch, when really, he was an ass. She eyed him, considering. She didn't hate him, that was for sure. She just couldn't bring herself to see eye to eye with him. She couldn't understand him, or bring herself to want to. But she wasn't just going to let him walk all over her either.
She stepped up to him, her eyes on his face, watching for any reactions. Her hands moved to his shoulders and she smiled sweetly up at him. Yes. She was using her feminine charm. She gave his shoulders a squeeze and pushed lightly against him. "Pray you never meet me outside of school again then."

Mathew had to bend down a little, but he did so not wanting to embarrass her too much. Well not all at once at least. He laughed at her little threat. As if he would be afraid of a little girl like that. No, she would be the one that would need to pray that he never met her off school grounds. See if she really thought she could take Mathew, she would fight him here and now. Despite the tough act she wasn't, she knew that if she gave Mathew a reason, he would destroy her. It was fact, and he was going to call her on it.
"Is that so? If you really think I need to pray then why not beat me here and now. Humiliate me in front of everyone, or can't you do it?"
He had no time for her little games. If she wanted to challenge him then she could do so no. Otherwise she could shut up. It was time to step up or shut up, though he would be surprised if she was stupid enough to step up. Especially coming out from the losing side of another fight just moments before.

Sara stared up at his face, willing him to fall for her bravado. Fact was, she was scared shitless of him. He was strong, and he seemed to have no sense of guilt or remorse for anything he did. He would kill her without a seconds hesitation, she knew it. She didn't exactly want to fight him. She still had no chance against him, despite the act, and he damn well knew it to. She was regretting doing this now. Hadn't he taken her to the nurse last time they had fought? Maybe he wasn't all bad... Atleast when it came to being Student Body President...
"Is that so? If you really think I need to pray then why not beat me here and now. Humiliate me in front of everyone, or can't you do it?"
She looked at him, shock crossing her face. Well... That sucked. He had called her on it. She was once again stuck in the position with two choices where she looked bad in both. She could fight him, lose, and look bad for both fighting him and losing. Or she could back down and lose face only in his eyes.
She slowly let her hands fall from his shoulders and she took a slow step back. She had to bite her tongue, hard. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She needed to calm down when he was around, this was NOT someone she wanted to stand against. She needed to make nice between them, and soon, or they would never be able to look at each other with out fighting... Or atleast she wouldn't. She turned her face up to him. "I don't think i thanked you for taking me to the nurse..." She didn't think she had ever blushed so hard in her life.

Mathew grinned, he was happy to see that she did have a brain. He was trying to do his job and do it right, though people like this made it hard. At least she was finally thanking him. It turns out he was lied to, being thanked didn't make it all worth it. But it did make it suck slightly less. After all who wants to do good deeds AND be hated. If he was going to be hated he would rather just stick to doing bad deeds.
"No you didn't thank me, but you're welcome. It was that or hang you by your panties by the flag pole. The nurse just happened to be in the direction I was going in." He said with a shrug.
Truth be told he did it to be nice, but he still had a reputation of being a jackass without mercy. He had to play it up a little bit. Still she was making an effort so he would do the same.
"You know I was surprised to see you transfer here too. Though I guess a lot of the 259 students got dumped here. Funny how that always seems to happen isn't it?" He asked attempting to change the conversation from his little quip.

"No you didn't thank me, but you're welcome. It was that or hang you by your panties by the flag pole. The nurse just happened to be in the direction I was going in."
Her expression turned to one of shock. He hadn't seriously considered that had he?... That was... sick... Holy shit... What the hell was wrong with?! No, he wouldn't have done that would he? The guy had crucified a blind kid, of course he would have. Who was she kidding?
She wondered if she should let that one go, but he changed the subject before she could say anything about it. He surprised her. Was he trying to make small talk?~ She considered for a moment and then chose to comment. If he was going to try to make small talk, she would oblige him. One step closer to not being mortal enemies.
"Ya... Same. Out of everyone, you were one of the last people i was... expecting to see." She had almost insulted him. Not on purpose or anything, just because it was almost like habit when it came to him. She looked back him sharply. "Why did you come here?"

He leaned close to her, letting his nose brush against hers, a grin on his face. She would be able to smell his breath, smelling faintly of pizza, the last meal he had eaten. A small chuckle escaped his lips as he leaned in.
"Don't you mean I am the last person you wanted to see?" He asked raising an eyebrow. He was messing with her now, trying to intimidate her. He knew she didn't like him, their past meetings had showed him that. He couldn't say he was fond of her either, after all she threw a lock at his head.... three times. She was lucky that he was a Pillar and they were on school campus, otherwise he would do a lot worse then hang her by her panties.
"Why did I come here?" He re asked her question as he straightened up, pulling away from her face. He grinned as he mused for a moment. He came for a lot of reasons, but he was going to be upfront, well partly upfront.
"Opportunity." Was all he said, a one word answer, but he would let her figure out the meaning of it. After all there were a lot of things that opportunity could mean, especially to someone like Mathew.

He suddenly leaned in closer. To close. WAY to close. She couldn't move. His nose brushed hers. What the hell was wrong with him?! Did he have no concept of 'personal space'?! She took a small step away by instinct, but otherwise tried to hold her ground. Her face hardened as she tried to hide her... Anger? Hatred? Disgust? It didn't matter, the fact remained, he was to fucking close.
"Don't you mean I am the last person you wanted to see?"
His eyebrow cocked and she knew he was messing with her. She wasn't going to let it work. "Well I wasn't going to say it." Ya. Smart. Piss him off more. Good job.
He pulled away to answer her, giving it some though. He gave her one word. And that answer scared her.
"Opportunity."
She stared at him, trying to decide what he had meant. It seemed to her that he was letting her make her own decision about the meaning of the word. Why couldn't he just be more clear? She decided to push it. Might be a bad choice, but hell, throwing locks at him had been a bad choice. She closed the distance between them again,, her hands moving to squeeze his shoulders, looking up at him, her expression evil. She thought he might appreciate it, showing no fear, only a sick interest. "Well... Have you found anything good?"

He grinned, simple as that. She didn't seem to know what to do or say at first. The answer might have even scared her, and it should. He told her before what he was after, that he wanted the world. He would be it's savior and unite it, or failing that, he would be the monster to be united against. He had no fear, not guilt, no hesitation to do even the most heinous of acts for little or no reason. Kicking puppies, setting places and people on fire, crucifying blind kids, and leaving women naked and broken to be raped by any thug that passed by. None of it was below him, he was willing to venture to say that nothing was below him.
When she reached up and grabbed his shoulders showing interest, almost twisted he smiled. No longer did she recoil at his touch but embraced it? It was a ploy or she lusted power. Could be both. Either way he would play along, his hand moving behind her gripping her hind quarters firmly with one hand.
"If I didn't would I be here?" He said still grinning his same cocky grin, a mischievous sparkle in his eye.
With that he leaned down, not asking permission, as was his style. He pressed his lips to hers assaulting her lips with his own. Forcing her in to a deep kiss. A reward for saving her? His own interest in her? Or did he just want to see her squirm? Once again he let her interpret his actions, uncaring of the result. After all, he could do whatever he wanted, who was going to stop him?

Sara was both pleased and a little frightened when she saw the grin come to his lips. The grin meant that things were going well, but also, someone like him only grins when he knows something, or has a plan. He didn't push her away or deny her, and she considered that a personal triumph. But she felt the pang of guilt at being so close to a guy. She was seeing Travis. And her hands were on someone else, even if it wasn't serious. She knew, if Travis saw this, that would be it for them, and most likely for Mathew as well. But that part wasn't that bad.
She held his gaze, trying to put everything she had into it so she didn't flinch from him or falter in her gaze. But then she felt something grip her backside. Sara froze, not moving a muscle, afraid to break the hold, and to proud to back down. She tried to think quickly, to decide what to do, because this was wrong. He shouldn't be doing that. She shouldn't be letting him. Oh fuck, if Travis saw this...
"If I didn't would I be here?"
What did he mean by that? What had he found? She was curious. Genuinely curious. Enough so, that she forgot momentarily that his hand was gripping her. She wanted to know. When they first met, she had agreed that she believed in his vision. Just not in his methods. And it was his methods that made her sick. She watched him lean down. Sara knew what was coming, and yet she couldn't back away, couldn't stop him. The kiss was forced. She had to think quickly. She had two choices here. One, she could break the kiss. She wouldn't be able to go anywhere with his hand on her, but she could lean back. He might be offended, or he might laugh at her. She didn't know. Or she could kiss him back. But she didn't want to do that.
Maybe there was a third option? If she didn't want to do either, she could be neutral. Simply let him kiss her, making no effort to return the forced game. Wouldn't it just piss him off if she showed no interest at all? She forced her body to remain loose and comfortable, letting him push the kiss on her, but making no move to kiss him back. When he pulled back, her face would be unimpressed, but not rude. Simply, uninterested. Not looking down on his... techniques, but not commending him either. She would make sure he caught this look before letting a small smile touch her lips, and she would speak.
"Wanna tell me whats caught your attention?" I'm so sorry Travis...

Mathew was a bit disappointed that the girl didn't kiss him back. He hated being disappointed. When the kiss broke he rolled his eyes still keeping his hand firmly on her hindquarters. He wasn't letting her go yet. She seemed to want him to think she was unimpressed or pretending it never happened. The second option seemed likely since she asked him again what caught his interest. He wasn't going to play that game, not yet. She would have to earn it. He would just ignore her comment like she ignored the kiss.
"Wow what was that your first time being kissed? I fucking hope so because that was just pathetic. I mean I have kissed girls that have never been kissed and gotten a better kiss back. You seriously need to work on your technique before you get a reputation as being a cold fish."
He said with a small chuckle. He was a bit amused, that was for sure. But he was going to bait her. She was a girl with strong pride, he would attack that.
"Now if you want a second chance to prove that you are not a pathetically bad kisser then I am willing to give you a second chance. But if not then I will just have to assume it is hopeless for you and let everyone know just how bad you are." He said still grinning.

When he pulled away, he didn't react as she assumed he would. She had assumed he would back off seeing that she had no interest in playing this game with him. But instead, his hand remained where it was and he rolled his eyes as though she were at fault here. Ignoring her comment he went on to insult her.
Her face reddened the more he spoke, the anger inside her boiling. She had to fight to keep it in check. Now was not the time to pick a fight with him, not when he was so close, and had her pinned to him. He grinned down at her, baiting her. She knew damn well he was just baiting her. And yet, it was working. He was playing on her sense of pride, threatening to destroy it by spreading rumors to the school. Not that she would kiss or sleep with anyone.. but she wasn't a cold fish... DAMN HIM! He even had the nerve to offer her a second chance to redeem herself. She knew that no matter what she did, he would still insult her technique. She could be the greatest kisser on earth and he would still insult her.
She glared up at his cocky grin. She wished she could murder him. She had never felt a need to hurt someone like this before. She needed to decide on what she was going to do next. She thought of Travis. He would kill her. And the guy in front of her would probably have no problem blackmailing her if he ever found out she was seeing someone. He would be able to use that against her. There were so many options and so many possible outcomes. She was getting a headache.
She swallowed. She would never forgive herself for this, and neither would Travis if he knew. She reached up, one hand going to his neck, the other into his hair. She pushed herself onto her tiptoes and pulled him downwards so she could reach. God, this was killing her and she hadn't even done it yet. She pressed her lips softly to his, slowly, teasingly, then began to deepen it, leading the kiss. She wanted to scream at what she was doing. This was sick, and cruel. She finally began to pull away, slowly bringing the kiss to and end.

When the kiss ended he grinned. It was a lot better, the teasing was a very nice touch. He definitely approved. A very pleased look on his face as he licked his lips, still able to taste the Strawberry lip balm she had left on his lips. His hand squeezed her ass again, testing to see how firm it was. He was enjoying this. Just think, if he knew she wasn't single, he would be having more fun.
"Well that was a bit better. I retract my cold fish statement. Given you are not my best. But not my worst. You're ok." He said letting go of her ass finally and ruffling her hair like she was a little kid that had done something cute.
"As for what I have found that interests me. Well that's for me to know. After all you didn't give me the impression that you were really on my side. Why would I want to give you information you could potentially use against me?" He asked still grinning.

Sara pulled away from the kiss to see him grinning, looking very pleased with himself. Well... At least he approved... stupid ass... She felt him give her ass another squeeze, causing her to jump. She closed her eyes, cursing herself for that. And, as if on cue, he insulted her. Well... Not completely, but enough so that the anger was almost ready to spew over and she would rip off a locker door and whip it at him. God, he was just so cocky, and so arrogant. He even had the nerve to ruffle her hair, and she couldn't help but put her hands up, shooing him away with them.
He spoke again. So there really was something that was interesting to him here. She wanted to know what it was. She cursed herself for being so damn nosey. It was that trait that had gotten her into this mess in the first place. Oh god, imagine if Travis found out about this. He would murder her. But how to respond to what he said? She had gone this far, why not go the extra mile... It was already fucked up enough as it was. She cocked her hip, crossing her arms and giving him and innocent, confused stare.
"I never said I wasn't on your side. I said I didn't agree with your methods. I told you I agreed with your vision though, and thus, that puts us on the same side." She gave him a small smirk.
