(OOC: I don't care who posts first I'm just putting Nicolas there as a subtle reminder that this is a thread for him.)
"Is everything set?" Matrim asked the man over the phone as he made his way to his motorcycle, the gym bag strapped over him. He had been getting ready for this day, not by physical training so much as mental. He read up on all the rules, he knew what was and wasn't allowed, and he was ready. He bought the equipment for the team, he even bought a boxing ring. That's right, an honest to God boxing ring. He had it put in the gym for now, but knew that there would need to be a place for it later on. Some place that wouldn't interfere with classes.
"Yes, Mr. Gallagher. The ring and equipment has all been set up in the gym, the bleachers are ready, the lights are ready, and the snack bars are open," Said the man Matrim had hired to organize this whole thing. Being rich, well, it had it's privileges. Of course, all proceeds from this event would go into the schools budget, tickets would be sold, and people would be able to see the Cinderella story take on the pillar.
"Good," Matrim said hanging up. It was the day, the big fight. Matrim started his motorcycle and drove to the school from his buildings garage. This time he wore his helmet for once, not caring about looks so much as getting to this fight in one piece and on time. Getting pulled over now would suck, so he thought it best to avoid that situation.
Pulling up to the school parking lot he found a nice spot and got off, taking his helmet off he made his way to the gym. When he stepped inside he noticed the lights were all set up, making it seem like a real boxing match. At the doors of the gymnasium were people who were selling tickets to enter. Pre-bought tickets got you better seats and cheaper entry, and there was plenty of food to eat. The fighters themselves got in free, as well as whoever they asked to be their coach. Matrim had asked Mathew Amtrum of course.
Matrim made his way to the locker room, getting changed into his boxing shorts, and waiting for it all to take place. He waited for his coach to show up, he waited for the opponent to show up to the locker room so they could do the whole smack talk thing, as well as a weighing in and other various things. He had his gloves and stuff read to go on. Once the fighters were ready and the seats were filled the house lights would go off and the stage lights would come on.
