Take A Bow (Fei)

[Kate]

Kate hadn't gotten a call from Fei, but considering it really had only been a bit since they met... it wasn't that big of a deal to her. A lot had happened in those few days, and Kate felt like relaxing. She had some bruises, some cuts and scrapes, and a burn on her ankle... but everything was almost done healing. The girl stepped out of the girl's locker room and into the empty pool area. It was after school, early evening.

And granted, she could have gone to her own damn pool. But that was there, and she was here. The girl was dressed in a two piece, dark green in color. It showed off both sets of tattoos, the one on the small of her back and the one on her upper arm.

Kate dropped her towel on a bench, and slid into the pool with ease. She dipped under the water, and thus couldn't hear the door when it suddenly opened again. Kate came up for air in an otherwise silent room.

[Fei Long]

Why hadn't Fei Long called Kate yet? Well, there wasn't one good reason for it. You could blame it on being busy working out, doing school work...or the recent beatings he'd signed himself up for lately. Win or loss, Fei Long was beginning to see the strength that PHS 42 held in its walls. He just needed to adapt, to get stronger and faster. Once that was the case, they wouldn't stand a chance.

School had been over for a bit, and Fei Long was just on his way out when he was passing the pool. The wall of glass windows allowed him a peak to see a girl with quite the pleasant physique strip down to her swim wear before diving into the pool. Fei Long entered on certain instincts without even realizing he had stepped through the door. He walked by the pool as the girl swam beneath it, Fei Long realizing just who he was ogglying once more.

"Too bad I didn't save that 'free shot' for now."

If Kate turned to look at Fei Long, she'd see the chinese student straddling the diving board. His chin laid in his left palm, as he placed his elbow on his left leg to hold his entire head up lazily. Fei Long's face was still a bit bruised from the elbow Kate had given him, but it still didn't stop him from giving her a charming wink with his right eye.

"How's my favorite devil woman?"

[Kate]

"Hows my favorite devil woman?"

Kate turned, slicking back her wet hair with her hands, staring up at him. Those emerald eyes seemed larger somehow, one eyebrow lifting as she smiled at him. He looked pretty good, sitting up there on the diving board. She let her hands fall back into the water, still staying where she was.

"She's doing pretty good, if she really has to comment on it."

She laughed a bit, enjoying the slight comment. She had been called many, many things. Bitch, babe, whore, slut, beautiful, a ton of things. The pale beauty didn't move toward him, but didn't move away. Devil woman was staying right where she was.

"And yourself?"

[Fei Long]

"She does."

Fei Long added once more, his smirk growing into a smile as they both chuckled a bit at the remarks. Fei Long let his hands fall back into his lap as he sat up, posturing his back up once more as she fired the question back his way.

"Tired. I got a mild case of sleep apnea at the moment. Some crazy girl decided it would be a good idea to break my nose with an elbow to the face. Women. Go figure, yeah?" Fei Long would reference back to their scuffle, only pausing a moment before continuing.

"In all seriousness though, I have to thank you. PHS 42 is no regular highschool as I've come to notice. The fact that I came to that notice with you first has kept me from getting killed in my more recent run-ins. It's useful to know that looks can definately be deceiving here...especially when they look as good as you."

[Kate]

"Careful there Fei, my boyfriend might de-man you if he heard you say that."

She ducked under the water quickly, then swam to the edge. Her arms pulled her out of the water easily, and soon she was sitting there calm as you please. The blonde smirked at him, remembering their little fight.

"Well, don't try and mar a lady's face, you might breath better... Healing up well?"

Kate had a ton of marks and bruises. There was one large on on her chest that looked like someone had landed on her. Stitches in a few places as well, and sooo many other bruises. She was a walking battlefield.

And she was stronger, and tougher than she had been before. By far.

[Fei Long]

"Heh. He could try."

Fei Long hadn't been aware that Kate had a boyfriend. If he had, he might have known it to be Adrian Hanlon, the chinese fighter's new rival in life. The last time they fought was in a hospital room, which came right after the hardest battle he ever fought. Which, he knew he won, even if they both "technically" passed out. Semantics.

"Well, enough."

Fei Long shrugged with his shoulders, not terribly beat up as it was. He had a few scratches on his back and a few bruises underneath his clothes. All in all, he wasn't far from 100%. All surface injuries, nothing serious.

"So...I've been thinking a bit more about what you've said, and I'd be lying to say I'm not uber curious. I'm really itching to see who Kate rolls with."

[Kate]

Kate began to move toward him, slowly moving through the water. There was something fun that happened when she was talking with Fei. He was just a very fun person.

"I'm going to have the party this weekend. Inviting certain people and all that. I will warn you that almost everyone there will be able to kick your ass from here to the ends of the world. At least, certainly better than I did."

She laughed, and pulled herself out of the pool. He was sitting on the diving board, and with Kate grinning wickedly, she began to climb the ladder to where he was. Carefully standing on the board with him, she grinned.

"So, the diving board is for diving."

Kate slammed her foot into the board, making it shake. Fei Long may not have wanted to get wet at the start of this, but Kate was going to make him take a dip into the water whether he wanted to or not.
