Ryuu pulled open the door of the boys locker room, a duffel bag hanging on his shoulder. He didn't have anything to do after school, and since the swimming pool was open, he decided to take a swim. He went into one of the change stalls and changed into his dark blue board shorts. He threw all his clothes into the duffel bag he had brought with him, and slung the bag over his shoulder, and walked out of the change stall. His sandals clacked against the floor as he passed the showers, and walked into the main pool area. Good, there was nobody around as far as he could see. Sunlight shined through the windows that lined the walls, as Ryuu placed his duffel bag down on one of the deck chairs, since no one was here, he didn't have to worry about someone stealing his stuff, took off his sandals, walked over to the middle of the pool, and dove in. It was deep enough that he wouldn't crack his head when he dove, but it wasn't so deep that he couldn't touch the bottom. As he broke through the surface of the water to take a breath, he swam a little back towards the shallow end, and his feet touched the bottom, enabling him to walk. Water dripped down his face, as he shook the water off, so that his hair wouldn't stick to his face. He dove down into the water, and swam a little back towards the deep end. He came up for air again, as sunshine shone on the water, making it sparkle as it made little waves when he came up, before settling down and become still. He then started to float on his back, just drifting in one spot, alone with his thoughts, letting his thoughts flow out one by one, allowing his state of mind to relax. He thought he was alone, or so he thought. The sound of sandals hitting the floor make him sit up in the water, as his feet once again touched the bottom, disturbing the stillness of the water. "Who's there?" he called out, as he swam over to the shallow end. As he reached the end of the shallow side, he stopped and stood in the water, droplets of water dripping off his hair and once again returning to the water it had come from. Someone was here, but who was it? He would find out soon enough.

As of this post, this thread is open. Please feel free to join in :PThere were very few places Emily hung out at; they were: the Library, Rooftops, and the pool. Earlier that afternoon, Emily had decided to take a dip in the school pool. She didn't plan this before, unfortunately -- just planned it, and of course that would mean she didn't bring her normal swimwear. She had to borrow some from the school. There wasn't really a lot of them, save for this. A freaking two-piece swimsuit not even suitable for competitive swimming, along with a yellow towel that more or less made her a bit more comfortable with herself. Emily wasn't really into such showy outfits. The girl entered the pool and -- "Who's there?"Damn wooden sandals. "Ah, sorry. Did I startle you?"Her white hair was loose, at least for the moment, as she had yet to tie it up.

Rem lay on the raised diving board, his arms folded behind his head and his legs crossed, foot bouncing and tapping against his knee to the classical music he was listening to on his iPod. He'd been vaguely aware of someone disturbing the water beneath him.
"Who's there?"
He didn't think he was being loud, but his foot tapping against his knee probably alerted the swimmer to his presence. Rem sat up, pulling his headphones off and giving the swimmer the once over. Another Japanese kid. Rem probably wouldn't have spared more than a second of observation otherwise. He was intrigued. It was rare for him to see someone of the same nationality. Before he could make himself known, he realized that he hadn't been the one who'd startled the swimmer down below.
"Ah, sorry. Did I startle you?"
Emily? Well, this would be interesting. He'd lay back once again on the diving board and see how this played out. Typical big brother behavior.

"Ah, sorry. Did I startle you?" As Ryuu looked up, he found himself looking at Emily, the girl from the Militia meeting. "Ah, no, you didn't startle me, I just wasn't expecting to have company," Ryuu replied, as he looked at Emily with a calm yet tranquil look on his face, almost akin to free flowing water, "You're Emily right? I was told your name by someone, I think his name was Riley." Ryuu wasn't given just her name, he was also given her phone number, and had made a promise, to watch over her, but why Ryuu was suppose to do that, was still beyond him, he had no idea why really. The only person he watched over and out for was Emi, who he cared about, he hadn't really been given a thorough explanation from Riley, who had disappeared before Ryuu could even ask. Ryuu vaguely noticed Emily was wearing a two piece swim suit and a yellow towel, her long white hair was loose, unlike most guys, her appearance wasn't what Ryuu focused on.
"We didn't really quite have a formal introduction back at the meeting in the library, how about we start over again? It's nice to meet you Emily, my name is Ryuu Hikari."
During that time, Ryuu had pulled himself out of the pool, as water dripped off his chest and landed on the ground. He then shook his hand over the pool, drying it slightly, before holding it out for Emily to shake, it didn't matter to him if she accepted it or not, it was fine with him either way. Ryuu didn't realize that Emily wasn't the only one here, in fact, Rem was here too, laying on the diving board, able to hear their conversation. "I was given your cell phone number from Riley, but I did not want to call you, for fear that you would be frightened at finding out a stranger has your number," Ryuu said, his voice and expression rather calm, "But now that you know, I do hope you don't mind that I have it. If you do not want me to have your number, I will gladly give back the card that your number is written on back to you." Ryuu may be sarcastic and cynical a lot of the time, but he can be very considerate.
"If I may ask, what brings you here?"

"Ah, no, you didn't startle me, I just wasn't expecting to have company, You're Emily right? I was told your name by someone, I think his name was Riley." Oh, yes. Riley. That explains it. "We didn't really quite have a formal introduction back at the meeting in the library, how about we start over again? It's nice to meet you Emily, my name is Ryuu Hikari."
Emily shook his hand and nodded, "Pleasure to meet you." Emily didn't really notice Rem too.
She would have if she looked around, but she wasn't paranoid enough to do that yet. "I was given your cell phone number from Riley, but I did not want to call you, for fear that you would be frightened at finding out a stranger has your number,"
Ah, so Riley had been giving away her number. That's... not exactly something Emily could give points for, but she could swear she saw Ryuu for a moment in the meeting. "Ah, It's fine. I trust Riley wouldn't give my number to anyone else without a reason, yes?"
She smiled. It was at least something Emily hoped it was. Oh well, no point in being paranoid today. She was here to relax. "But now that you know, I do hope you don't mind that I have it. If you do not want me to have your number, I will gladly give back the card that your number is written on back to you."
"You can have it." Emily would take the towel off her waist begun tying her hair up in a ponytail.
"If I may ask, what brings you here?"
"Same as anyone who would be going here: to swim."

"Pleasure to meet you." He felt her shake his hand and nod, as he released her hand, letting his arm drop back down to his side, as he began to explain to her that Riley gave him he number, but he did not call her for fear she would be frightened because of it. "Ah, it's fine. I trust Riley wouldn't give my number to anyone else without a reason, yes?" "Indeed boss," he replied, nodding his head seriously as he folded his arms across his chest and saw her smile, "As for the reason, all he told was he was going somewhere, and he wouldn't be coming back." Ryuu did not want to tell Emily that Riley made him promise to watch over her for whatever reason, because let's face it, even it sounded weird to him, and he was the one who made the promise in the first place! What she doesn't know, won't hurt him, right? And it's not like Ryuu was a psycho anyways, he was the son of the president of Hikari Industries!
He then asked if it was alright that he had her number, now that she knew, and if she didn't want him to have it, he would gladly give it back to her. "You can have it." "Ah, arigato... (Ah, thank you...)" He said quietly, as he saw her take the towel off her waist and begin to tie her hair up in a ponytail. He then asked her what brought her here, as he slicked his wet front hair, so that he could see better now. "Same as anyone who would be going here: to swim." "Ah, my apologies, now that I think about it, it sounds like a rather silly question to be asking," Ryuu said, not like his usual sarcastic self, it was hard to act sarcastic around her, "What I meant was, did you come here to relax, get away from something?" Ryuu continued to keep his arms folded, as he looked at Emily, a look of mild interest on his face. "I do however, have a couple questions regarding the meeting and the organization, since I came in quite late. It appeared to me, the bond between those at the meeting that knew each other prior, was breaking apart. But my question is, why should I join Militia? Why should I get involved with it, and what is the single goal that unites each and every one of you in the organization, together?"
Ryuu may not know much about Militia, but he did know one thing, and that was he wanted to protect Emi, he cared very deeply for her. "I may not know much about the group or you for that matter, but I do know one thing. There is someone here I want to protect, and I won't let anyone hurt her. If joining Militia will help me to protect her, then I will consider joining it. "

Emily wasn't anyone special, or anyone who produced a ton of money at a time. She was like any other middle-class person, working to get by. It was this reason that she was having difficulty when it came to deciding to retire from art or not.
"Ah, arigato... (Ah, thank you...)"
"Hai, hai. [Yes, yes.]"
"What I meant was, did you come here to relax, get away from something?" Emily looked at Ryuu.
Emily stood there, quiet. The first one was easy to answer, but the next few questions would dictate Ryuu's stand on Militia. So far, Emily was dedicated to the group, and was ... of course, idealistic.
"I may not know much about the group or you for that matter, but I do know one thing. There is someone here I want to protect, and I won't let anyone hurt her. If joining Militia will help me to protect her, then I will consider joining it. "
"Militia exists... to give those who are weak the chance to grow and be able to defend themselves, so that they won't need the hierarchy. So that no pillar can push them over, and create a balance of power between all students -- native or transfer." She told him, crossing her arms above her chest. He had someone to protect, and to Emily-- It was a good reason to want to become stronger. This man would have drive. "The thing that kept Militia together was the vision of "Unfettered", the man who made this organization. We believed in him, his vision, and his leadership. Now that he's gone, Militia began to fall apart..."
...
"--- but that won't happen, for as long as I exist."
Emily's voice was determined and firm. She had some sort of influence in the group, but merely refused to use it. An Elite Guard; a title that probably meant little right now.
"You have to understand though, that being in a gang will put the people you love in danger of being hurt. Though Militia as a whole can help you to protect her, things may happen. Things will happen. Not that I'm discouraging you, but --... rather telling you a horrible truth. We are in essence, no matter what I call it, a school gang."

Just as in Japan, Emi was required to take swimming classes during PE. Just thinking about them gave her a stomachache and increased her stress. She could swim good enough to go into the deep end, but she hated dirty pool water. During most of her PE classes, she told the teacher that she was on her period and unable to go into the pool. However, the teacher knew that having your period every week was impossible and realized that Emi was just faking to get out of going in the pool.
Emi was scolded and was now forced to come after school to make up every swimming class she missed. She tried everything to try and get out of it, even begging her father to sign a note saying that she was unable to swim due to a contagious disease. However, even her family agreed with the PE teacher that it was best for her to continue learning how to swim, so Emi ran out of ideas.
She stood at the side of the pool wearing a simple blue one-piece, waiting for the PE teacher to arrive. However, fifteen minutes passed with no sign of him. She wasn't complaining because she wanted to delay her torture. Actually, she hoped that something happened to him that would make him unable to come.
A girl who showed off her big chest in a revealing bikini walked past, bumping into her. Emi could have sworn that she heard the girl say,"Watch where I'm going." Before she attempted to walk away. She attempted to walk away because Emi grabbed her shoulders and turned her around.
"Oi, who do you think you are?" Emi demanded in her accented English. She was met by a scowl and the girl pulled away and walked away.
The Japanese girl made a "tch" sound before her hand reached over to undo the straps on the blond-haired girl's bikini top. It fell, revealing her large breasts and many people in the area turned to stare at the sight. Some guys even whistled to egg the two girls on. "You bitch!"
Emi was pushed into the water, and she grabbed the slut's elbow to take her along. They both hit the water at the same time, and bubbles came to the surface before the girls came up for breath. Emi swam over and tried to dunk her opponent's head into the water, but she was overpowered. She flailed her arms and legs desperately as the blond-haired girl got on top of her. Seconds past, and she had trouble holding her breath. Finally, her mouth opened to allow water to enter.
This was the problem with swimming: she wouldn't have a chance if she faced an opponent. If the two were on land, Emi would have no problems beating the shit out of this bitch.
"Woah, I think we should do something about them. That Japanese chick's gonna be drowned,"a random student suggested loudly.

"Hai, hai. [Yes, yes.]" So it seemed Ryuu wasn't the only one who knew Japanese, Emily knew it as well. But despite knowing this, Ryuu continued to speak to her in English, as he saw her look at him while he asked her about Militia, the meeting did not provide him with very much answers, beyond showing him that the people in the organization were starting to drift apart. "Militia exists... to give those who are weak the chance to grow and be able to defend themselves, so that they won't need the hierarchy. So that no pillar can push them over, and create a balance of power between all students -- native or transfer." He saw her cross her arms, as he thought over what she said, yes, he wanted to get stronger, but not for the sake of being strong, but so he could use his strength to protect his sister, but most of all, he wanted to protect Emi. He cared about her more than anyone else in this entire school. It was something that drove him to get stronger. "The thing that kept Militia together was the vision of "Unfettered", the man who made this organization. We believed in him, his vision, and his leadership. Now that he's gone, Militia began to fall apart... but that won't happen, for as long as I exist."
Ryuu could hear the determination in her voice, it was firm, and Ryuu had no doubt in his mind she was going to try and keep Militia alive, to keep the vision that "Unfettered" held when he first made Militia. It was no easy feat however, seeing as the group that was once united by "Unfettered", was drifting apart, each going his or her own way. Ryuu didn't know who to follow, but seeing how determined Emily was, Ryuu couldn't help but increase the respect he held for her even more. "You have to understand though, that being in a gang will put the people you love in danger of being hurt. Though Militia as a whole can help you to protect her, things may happen. Things will happen. Not that I'm discouraging you, but... rather telling you a horrible truth. We are in essence, no matter what I call it, a school gang." "I understand the risks, and know being associated with Militia will place an immense target on those who I care deeply about. However," Ryuu said, as he folded his arms across his chest, "I want to get stronger, not for the sake of being strong, but so that I can protect those I care deeply about. I know things will happen, which is the sad but simple truth."
It was a risk, becoming associated with Militia, but Ryuu, if he could protect Emi from getting hurt, was willing to take the risk. "Despite that however, seeing the determination you have to keep the vision of "Unfettered" alive, I respect you for it. Gang or not, we all want one simple thing: To protect those we care about from being hurt. United we stand, divided we fall. Though those who were part of Militia prior to the transfer have drifted apart, all of you are in essence, still connected by that one single vision." Ryuu may have not been part of a gang anytime in his life, but that was merely his insight into the situation, and could be taken with a grain of salt, or downright ignored. But before he could get an reply from Emily, it seemed a commotion was happening behind Ryuu. "Woah, I think we should do something about them. That Japanese chick's gonna be drowned." At this, Ryuu's head instantly snapped around, and he held his index finger up, telling Emily he'd be right back, as he quickly but carefully made his way across the pool deck, moving towards where the commotion was happening. As he got closer, he could see two female students in the pool, the blond was holding the other girl's head in the water, Ryuu could see water splashing everywhere.
Japanese girl... Is it...? It is! It's... "Emi!" Ryuu shouted out, as he dove into the water, using his powerful arm muscles to power himself through the water, and reached the two girls, he hooked his arms under the blond girl's arms, and restrained her. "I suggest you let go of her." Ryuu said calmly, a hint of deadliness in his voice, as he stared down menacingly at the girl, who turned her head to look at Ryuu furiously, only to have her expression replaced by a look of fright. "Sh...she undid the straps of my...!" "I don't care what happened," Ryuu replied, looking down at her, "Let go of her, now." After a few minutes, the girl finally relented, and released her grip on Emi, as Ryuu released her and swam over to Emi, as she swam off, grumbling under her breath. Ryuu wrapped his arms around Emi, holding her close to him, as he swam backwards, and reached the shallow end, letting her lean against him, as he stood there, water dripping off his hair.
"Emi, are you okay? She didn't hurt you, did she?"

Emily smiled. At least there was someone in the group who was eager to protect someone, and usually that was one way one would get stronger. Emily herself had her reasons to be stronger, and mostly it was because she wanted to be something useful for that person she loved.
Useful in the sense that she wouldn't be in the way of his ambitions and goals. But of course, that trail of thought would be interrupted by some noise on the other side of the pool."Woah, I think we should do something about them. That Japanese chick's gonna be drowned."
Emily looked towards the direction of the ruckus, and was ready to dive in and help when Ryuu beat her to it.
She watched a bit more and smiled.
This was the girl whom he wanted to protect.
Looking up, she saw the girl approaching the two with a rather heavy metal chair above her head. She apparently didn't like being pushed around, even more so for another girl.
Emily slipped one of her wooden sandals off her feet and threw it toward's the girl's head. It was a bulls eye. If there was anything Emily hated the most, it was bullying.
Of course, the bitch fell on the floor unconscious. The rest of the crowd didn't realize the amount of force Emily had put into that throw.
Neither did Emily expect it to be a total bullseye. Well, she guessed God might have been on her side today. Emily walked over, taking back her slipped and knelt down, looking at Emi and Ryuu. "Daijoubu?"

The pressure on her head was suddenly released just when she thought that she would lose consciousness. Strong arms around her body pulled her to the surface and allowed her to receive air. She switched between coughing out water and gasping for air. Her throat felt sore, mainly due to the chemicals in the water. She swallowed so much that her stomach was beginning to feel funny.
This was why she was never a fan of going in the pool.
"I'm ok. That bitch probably suffered more than I did," she said darkly.
It was true. As soon as the blond-haired girl exited the pool, she was met by a few unwanted guys who were gawking at her chest, some even snapping pictures with their phones. Girls in the area laughed and made nasty comments. It wouldn't be long before rumors about what happened went around the school, ruining her reputation. Realizing that covering her chest would do nothing to the situation, she picked up a chair, intending to use that to get her revenge. Luckily Emily was there to handle that situation.
Well, the bitch did deserve it.
It took at least a minute for Emi to recover from what happened. It was then that the voice she heard moments ago registered in her mind. Could it be? She twisted her head to look up at whoever saved her.
"Ryuu..."
Unfortunately, he had to be here to see how nasty of a person Emi could be. She began to regret picking a fight with that girl. However, Ryuu seemed more concerned than disgusted, which really did nothing to help her guilt. They were also close together, close enough for her to touch his chest and feel the muscles developed there.
Damn, her fan girl side was coming out again.
"Un, daijyoubu," she answered as another student asked her if she was ok.
Reluctantly, she pulled herself away from Ryuu. She made her way to the edge of the pool and used the metal latter to pull herself up. All that water in her stomach was making her feel weak. As she stood up, she stumbled once, almost falling into the pool again. Luckily, she managed to regain her balance.

As soon as Ryuu managed to pull Emi up to the surface of the water, he heard her switch between coughing out water and gasping for air. "I'm ok. That bitch probably suffered more than I did." Ryuu looked down at Emi, his face was calm but his eyes were full of concern for her. And what she had said was true. As soon as the blond climbed out of the pool, she encountered a few unwanted guys who gawked at her chest, some even took some photos with their cell phones, Ryuu could see from the corner of his eye the little flashes of light from the cell phones. Some of the girls on the pool deck laughed and made nasty comments, it seemed the blond's reputation was going down the drain, and covering her chest wasn't going to help her one bit. So to get her revenge, she picked up a metal chair, holding it above her head, and was about to toss it at Ryuu's head, who turned his head when some of his friends shouted out his name to warn him, except Emily, Ryuu's "boss" was all over the situation.
He saw one of Emily's wooden sandals go flying through the air, and hit the girl right on the head, a bullseye. The blond bitch immediately fell to the ground unconscious, and who wouldn't, after being socked to the head with a wooden sandal? Ryuu smiled slightly at Emily, cocking an eyebrow, before he turned back to Emi, and saw her twist her head to look up at him. "Ryuu..." "Hey..." He replied, he had been around to see how nasty of a person Emi could be, but he was more concerned about her than disgusted, she had swallowed a lot of water while her head had been held under by the bitch. And they were also close together, but Ryuu wasn't worried about that right now. He looked over and saw Emily walk over, take back her sandal and knelt down, looking at the two of them. "Daijoubu?" "Un, daijyoubu." "Un, daijyoubu, " Ryuu said, bowing slightly to Emily, "Arigato, Emily." He then felt Emi pull away from him, and make her way to the edge of the pool and used the metal ladder to pull herself up.
Ryuu followed after her, moving through the water, and stood at the base of the ladder, making sure that she got up alright. As soon as she stood up, he saw her stumble, almost falling into the pool, but she managed to regain her balance, as Ryuu sighed inwardly with relief. He then pulled himself out of the pool, as water once more dripped off his chest and landed on the ground. "Emi, what happened? What brought you here?" He asked, as he leaned forward slightly to talk to her, this way, both Emily and Emi wouldn't have to crane their necks to look up at Ryuu, since he was a lot taller than the both of them. "Ah... Emily, this is Emi," Ryuu said, realizing that the two of them didn't know each other, "Emi, this is Emily." At least introductions were out of the way. "Emily, thank you for the assistance," Ryuu said, as he bowed once more to Emily, "It seemed that blond did not take too kindly to me stopping her, but I could not stand by and do nothing." Emily would know Ryuu's reason behind doing what he just did, he would protect Emi, no matter what happened to him.

"Un, daijyoubu."
"Un, daijyoubu, Arigato, Emily."
Emily nodded in acknowledgment before looking at the crowd. This bully of a woman was pretty, yes, but she probably should learn more people skills. "Okay, okay. Show's over. Out with all of you, or maybe you would all like to answer to me?"
Emily was getting used to this. Probably something she learned from being School Captain, once upon a time. Her hands were balled into fists, almost ready to fight.
"N-no m-ma'am!" They said, scurrying away from the scene as Emily went and checked the woman's pulse. Well, she was asleep. Just indecently exposed. Emily was still sympathetic, at least. She got her just desserts, no need to push it further than that.
Taking the sleeping female onto her back she would take her to a chair, covering her exposed chest with Emily's own towel. It was then Ryuu went to introduce the two girls to each other. "Ah... Emily, this is Emi, Emi, this is Emily."
"Hajimemashite." Emily said, smiling as she sat down at a chair beside where the blond bully was now sleeping. "[It's understandable. You have to protect someone important to you.]"
She then turned to Emi, "[You have to watch what you're doing though, Ryuu can't be there for you every second of the day. You have to protect yourself as well, for him.]"
That wasn't meant as a lecture, actually. More or less, friendly advice from a concerned friend. Her tone was friendly and warm, as usual. She only hoped that Emi would take her comment lightly.

A few feet away from the pool's edge, Emi fell down on her knees and broke into a coughing fit. More water exited from her mouth and landed on the concrete ground, disgusting a few nearby girls. Her stomach felt strange from all that chlorine water, as if she was going to throw up. However, she couldn't do that, especially with Ryuu around. Making a fool out of herself around her crush is the last thing that she would ever want to do.
Speaking of her crush... She glanced at him and noticed how great his chest looked. The best thing is that she actually touched it. Her cheeks turned slightly pink just from thinking about it, but luckily her face wasn't as red as the incident on the roof.
After her another coughing fit, she sat up and glanced at Ryuu and a white-haired girl. She paid more attention to the white-haired girl because she is totally gorgeous. Emi assumed that Ryuu is single because he held her hand and asked her to hang out with him, but who knows? It's impossible to actually trust men these days. Ryuu is also good-looking enough to get any girl he wanted. It is possible that he could turn out to be a playboy.
Jealousy ran through Emi, but she managed to push the dirty thoughts out of her mind and plaster a smile on her face. Lately, nasty feelings such as these have been running through her mind, which is so unlike her. Maybe it had to do with finding a guy that she had a huge crush on.
"Tadano kenka dayo. Taiiku no tameni kitandayo(It was just a fight. I came here to make up PE)," she said to Ryuu which answered the question he asked.
She then turned to Emily and said,"Yoroshikuonegaiitashimasu" which was a formal, uptight version of "yoroshiku onegaishimasu". Emi is obviously keeping her distance from this girl and planned to have it that way.
Just hearing Emily tell her how she should be more careful enraged her. Emi is tough enough to defend herself, and obviously doesn't need Ryuu to watch over her, although it is nice to have him around. A very independent girl, Emi hates having others lecture her.
Her reply to Emily was just a nod and a polite smile. Emi is Japanese, and faking politeness is something she does on a daily basis.
"Wakarimashita. Arigatougozaimasu."

Ryuu nodded back at Emily when she nodded in acknowledgment at the two of them, before she looked over at the crowd. "Okay, okay. Show's over. Out with all of you, or maybe you would all like to answer to me?" Ryuu smiled slightly at Emily, he could hear the authority in her voice, as he saw her hands ball up into fists, almost ready to fight. "N-no m-ma'am!" And just like that, the entire crowd dispersed, scurrying away like little rats, as Ryuu saw Emily go over to the blond, who was still knocked out, and take her onto her back and go over to a chair, and lay her down in it, covering her exposed chest with the yellow towel Ryuu had seen Emily had around her waist before. Ryuu then waited for Emi to climb out of the pool before he climbed out himself. A few feet away from the pool edge, Ryuu saw Emi collapse onto her knees and break into a coughing fit, as Ryuu rushed over to her and knelt down beside her, his hand hovering over her back, before he rubbed it comfortingly, as he saw water exit from her mouth and land on the concrete floor, disgusting a few girls nearby, but one glare from Ryuu sent them running away in fright. He saw her glance at him, her cheeks turned slightly pink as he looked at her with concern, once she was alright, he straightened back up and stood beside Emily once more.
After her coughing fit, he saw Emi sit up, and glance over at both him and Emily, as he looked back at her with a puzzled look on his face. He could see a smile on her face, but Ryuu wasn't sure if it was a real one or not. He had no idea that Emi thought he was good-looking, and could get any girl he wanted, but he never thought of himself like that, he just went through life, but right now, there was only one girl he liked, and she was staring at him right now. "Tadano kenka dayo. Taiiku no tameni kitandayo.(It was just a fight. I came here to make up PE.)" "So much for making up PE," he replied back, a tender look on his face as he looked at her, "I think you got enough physical education for one day." introducing the two of them to each other. His boss to his crush, and vice versa. "Hajimemashite." Ryuu heard Emily say, smiling as she sat down in a chair beside the knocked out blond. "[It's understandable. You have to protect someone important to you.]"
"Un... (Yes...)" he replied in a quiet voice, he would protect the person important to him, as he saw Emi turn to Emily. "Yoroshiku onegaiitashimasu" Ryuu's eyes flashed in surprise briefly, what Emi had just said was a formal, uptight version of "yoroshiku onegaishimasu." It was pretty obvious Emi was keeping her distance away from Emily, though why, Ryuu had absolutely no clue. Ryuu then saw Emily turn to Emi, as Ryuu folded his arms across his chest, his arm muscles flexed slightly. "[You have to watch what you're doing though, Ryuu can't be there for you every second of the day. You have to protect yourself as well, for him.]" Ryuu smiled slightly, although he knew Emily meant well, and was concerned, since her tone of voice was friendly and warm, it was making it sound like Emi was helpless and couldn't defend herself, and while Ryuu did not know much about Emi, he could tell she was anything but helpless. Years of fighting, training, and sparring, gave Ryuu the ability to evaluate a person's fighting ability just by looking at them.
Ryuu could relate though. Having had to take care of both him and his older sister, he hated relying on others when he knew he could take care of himself, he was very independent. But despite that, he wouldn't refuse help if it was offered to him though. He saw Emi nod and give Emily a polite smile. He had a feeling her politeness was fake, but he wasn't exactly sure though. "Wakarimashita. Arigatou gozaimasu." Nodding at Emily, Ryuu moved to the edge of the pool and sat down on the edge of the shallow end of the pool, as he stared up at the sky through the glass ceiling above him, his legs dipped in the water. He watched the clouds above him drift by lazily, as he leaned back, both hands behind him and resting flat on the pool floor, he highly doubted Emi would want to sit beside him, not after what had happened to her, but if she did, it would be rather nice. If not, oh well, what could you do, right?
