~~~Earlier~~~
Standing around with a towel around her torso, she flung clothing around, holding an outfit up to her before tossing it aside. Roxy was never happy with her clothing when it came to going out. Course it really wasn't a date or anything, it was more of a scheduled run in with someone that wasn't a girlfriend of hers.
She wasn't about to fawn over a guy from school. Not just yet. Pine was a cutie, his red hair and the way he kinda hid behind it. She wasn't sure if he was just playing shy but her curious nature would see just what type of person Pine was.
Holding up a pair of rough looking jeans she quickly tossed them away. She wanted to look nice, not look as if she was into grunge. Roxy always had a taste for dark and vibrant colors. She wasn't afraid of pastels, she just liked to wear something loud that screamed that she had a wild personality. Hell she liked to be noticed. Why hide what god had given her.
Finally deciding on a thigh high purple plaid skirt that had various zippers through out the skirt, a black v-neck tank top that peeked from underneath the long sleeve jacket that ended just below her chest. Happy, she got dressed finishing with knee high black stockings and her favorite ankle leather boots.
Fiddling with a few black bangles, she walked into the living room where her father sat. She leaned down and gave him a peck on the cheek.
"I'll be home later daddy. I have my phone."
He would eye her outfit but knew better than to say anything and nodded. He would also instruct her to call if she should be home later than midnight.
Roxy smiled agreed to the terms and then headed to the door. They had an understanding. As long as she checked in, kept her grades up, and was responsible. He would treat her as an adult, he has yet to go back on it.
Taking her keys from the hook on the wall she shouted another goodbye before heading out the door.
~~~Currently~~~
Standing in front of the theater, Roxy had her hands behind her back and moved back and forth on her heels. She kept her eyes open for Pine since she knew he would be arriving soon.
Within her ears were ear buds played music from her ipod that barely peeked out of her jacket breast pocket.

After School Pine returned to the group home and checked the time. He had plenty of time to workout and get ready before he needed to leave. The theater they were meeting at was on his way to school anyways so he wasn't going to waste time looking for it. Pine worked out for an hour before collapsing in a puddle of his own sweat. Normally he would lay in that puddle for about 20 minutes before getting up but today he did not have the twenty minutes to spare. So instead he willed himself off the floor and into the shower. Drying himself off, Pine looked in his wardrobe for something to wear. Being a guy was a good thing, it meant you really didn't need to have a million different clothes. He already pretty much knew what he was going to wear, all he needed to do was find it. Pine pulled out a white long sleeved under armor shirt, his black pin striped zip up hoodie with the small black skull stitched with white thread on the left breast, a pair of dark denim levi red tabs. Pine got dressed and gelled his hair so the entire get up looked complete (OOC- Reference his pic for hair style). Looking at the clock Pine smiled, there was still plenty of time to get there. Never one to be tardy Pine would arrive about five minutes early, that way if she was just on time he would not be waiting long and if she was early then he would look good. The Theater Pine arrived as he expected, about five minutes early to the party. He had his earbuds in and was listening to Cross my Heart by Marianas Trench. His head bounced to the beat as his eyes scanned the crowed until they found Roxy. Pine was impressed by what she was wearing. Still Pine was still unsure of what was taking place here. None of him actually knew if this was a date or just friends going out. Had they even known each other to be considered friends? Could this be an attempt to get to know Pine? Then again wouldn't coffee have been a better option? So many questions and Pine really didn't have the time to work them all out. He moved through the crowd and waved at her. Upon reaching Roxy Pine would quickly glance her over. "I see...You dress to impress." Pine said a small grin flashing across his face. The attempt at flattery was lame but the kid was nervous. "S-so...what movie are we going to see?"

Roxy removed her ear buds and waved him off with a smile as she replied all nonchalant.
"O something I just threw on. You like?"
She knew he would guess that she was teasing as she turned slightly to show off her outfit. Roxy wasn't about to let on that it took her an hour to decide. And that was just deciding. Don't count the amount of time she took to prep herself and place on her makeup.
Tucking her ear buds back into her pocket she retrieved the prepaid tickets she had gotten while she was waiting. Roxy handed them over with ease answering the question of what the two were about to see.
"I hope you don't mind that I didn't give you much of a choice. But I couldn't help myself. I wanted to see this one since I first saw the previews. If... you had something else in mind I'm sure I can talk my way into getting different ones or we can just sneak into another gallery."
She couldn't help but smirk at her last statement.
On the ticket stub the title "Watchmen" in bold print along with the time which was approaching soon enough. She would wait til he made the move towards the building before walking beside him. With her hands now at her sides she had a hold of one of the panels on her skirt and turned and twisted it within her fingers.

Pine bit his lower lip as Roxy did a little spin so he could get a full view of what she was wearing. If she was playing a game, Pine had already lost. His eyes were transfixed on her moving form. His mind returned to earth as she began to speak again.
Pine took the ticket and looked at it. The title of the movie they were to see was THE WATCHMEN. Pine let a small grin cross his face as he played with the ticket. He had also wanted to see the movie, it was a comic book and Pine loved comic books. Though he had never read the watchmen it was a well known and acclaimed comic. It also helped that the director also did 300 one of Pine's all time favorite movies.
"You mean we were only going to see one movie?" Pine inquired as he faced the girl. "I never watch anything less than two on one ticket...Considering how expensive the tickets are you might as well get your monies worth." Pine stopped talking when he realized that he had not stuttered at all during those couple of sentences. He wasn't sure why that was or who was actually in control right now.
Pine decided not to think about it and walked beside Roxy to into the theater. As they walked Pine glanced at her and noticed she was fiddling quite a bit with her skirt.
"Nervous?" He inquired as he held the door open for her.

((ooc-I got creative at work )) When he questioned her she looked down and realized what she was doing. “O, no more like anticipation. I guess I can’t really help myself I’ve been so hyped in wanting to see the movie, I swear I watched the trailer online like 100 times. Kinda gives the feeling that you wanna see it so much quicker because you have access to. Kinda wanna pounce, in a way.” She laughed, yea she knew she sounded stupid right then and there but she didn’t care. Course she would care if he thought she was a little out of it but she couldn’t help herself, rarely does she think before she does or talks which leads her to take risks without knowing until the possible last second. She liked that little part of her that did things unexpected, kept herself interesting, at least to herself. Tucking her arm around his as they walked, this would stop her hands from being so fidgety with expectation of the movie, she smirked to see his reaction, weather he would accept it or reject it. She wouldn’t lie she was interested, if she wasn’t she would be home alone playing around online or watching some tv. “Do you like the front or the back?” She asked innocently as they walked into the front entrance before adding in. “To sit at?” Roxy preferred the back but some people like sitting in the middle and a few people that like to stare upwards rather than forward like the front.

Her answer to the question was satisfactory. People seemed to act nervous when they were full of anticipation. It was the same way Pine felt when the sword came out to fight. The pure exhilaration his body felt when made to hurt. The thrill of victory and the anticipation of the kill (not literally of course). Though when it came to movies Pine really could not emphasize with Roxy. He had never been one to get excited over something that wasn't real, something he couldn't relate too.
So as a result his reaction was just to shrug. What came next however merited a much better reaction than just a simple shrug. Pine felt a slender arm move around his to rest. His whole body went rigid for a second. His face turned quite pale and he looked down to see Roxy's arm resting on his.
~Don't stand there like a statue! DO something!!!~ The voice yelled at him and Pine continued to walk. His body loosened up, every part except his arm which was still rigid and shaking slightly. It had been ages since anyone had touched him this way, it was even longer since that touch came from a woman. The entire situation was making him nervous. His eyes, if she was able to see them, would show this quite clearly.
Next came another question would he prefer the front or the back. Pine bit down hard on his lower lip so he didn't say what the other voices were yelling at him to say. The amount of vulgar sexual comments that could be made at that question were almost limitless. The shield tried very hard t silence the other voices before Roxy spoke again. Clarifying that she wanted to know where he wanted to sit and not whether he liked face to face or not. He looked over at Roxy and spoke in his more normal shy tone.
I'm a...I'm good anywhere between m-middle and the back." He replied before asking her own preference.
"Which...do you prefer?"

Roxy could feel him tense up at first but not reject her, so she kept her arm there seemingly unaware of his facial expressions since she turned her eyes towards the way they were walking rather than focusing on Pine.
“Well I guess it depends on who’s sitting behind you and wither they like resting their feet on the back of your chair or not.”
She shrugged slightly.
“The back would be nice, wouldn’t have to worry about anyone behind you, and should the movie be a flop we can always make faces at those in front of us.”
She laughed lightly at her joke. The thought of him lightening up to do something so childish seemed out of wack. Sure she would be known to have done such things with her girl friends back in the day but his demeanor that she gathered so far clearly suggested that he wasn’t that care free.
“I’m joking of course. Thou I should give you fair warning ahead of time. If your unsure if I am serious or not just feel free to ask.”
By now the two had visited the snack bar which Roxy passed up and given their tickets to the usher directing people in the right direction. After getting their half back they made their way down the hall.
Roxy pointing out some movie posters that she wouldn’t mind seeing or if she heard they were going to be good or not.
Moving towards a door which was propped open, Roxy let her arm drop from his as they moved through the single door way. It was still a bit early as the crowd was sparse in the large room. Most of the middle was occupied. Leading the way she took Pines hand without much thought and guided him towards the back row corner since he seemed pretty open about her choosing. Letting her fingers loose, she turned and made herself a seat between the wall and the next seat where Pine would occupy. She didn’t want him feeling trapped should he be up against the wall hence why she sat up against the wall.
Smoothing her skirt she smiled in his direction.
“It seems like its been ages since I went to the movies. I tend to just wait until they come out on dvd. Except for those that seem to peek my interest, then I can’t help but splurge and watch it on the big screen. The atmosphere is so much different here than at home.”

Her response about sitting in the middle was reasonable. There had been a few instances were people had been dumb enough to put their feet up on his seat. Generally an injured foot solved that problem rather quickly. A twisted ankle was a good indication to keep your feet off other peoples chairs and if not then a broken nose never failed. Before Pine could reply Roxy spoke again. Mentioning that if the movie was a flop then they could at least make faces at other people's backs.
Pine's face took a slightly pained expression when he heard this. He was perplexed as to why someone would do that. It was really childish and served no purpose. What was the fun in making faces at others if they couldn't react?
"Yeah...No." Pine began as Roxy laughed. Reaching into the pin stripped sweater Pine removed a large box of jube-jubes. "I prefer projectiles...far more entertaining. Th-that and you can make a game out of it. Fifty points to whoever hits the loudmouth in the front row." He said with a small grin and put the contraband back in his pocket for later.
They visited the snack bar. Roxy passed up getting anything and Pine grabbed a couple of bottles of water just in case. He wasn't sure how long the movie was and if there was to be a double feature so he would like to have them. Two hours in a movie theater isn't so bad but four might make one thirsty. They continued to walk around for a little as Roxy pointed out movies she wanted to see and Pine looked at the show times. He also acknowledged the movies and made small comments here and there.
They headed over to the usher who pointed them in the direction of their movie. Once they made it to the propped door Roxy let go of his arm and they walked in. Pine shook out his arm which had begun to cramp from being so tight for so long. His body and mind still seemed to have no real desire to allow a person that close just yet. He was still in pain by the looks of it and nothing but more time would heal that.
Looking around it seemed like middle was taken. Pine swore under his breath and looked around. Before he could say anything Roxy took his hand and began to pull him up the stairs. Pine's arm yet again went rigid as she touched him. They made their way up to the stairs to the very top where she pulled him to the corner. Now Pine felt a little uneasy, the only time he was ever in the back corner was to....
~Little bit oh fun in the back?~ The voice joked.
~No...~ He replied back.
~Why not she's smiling at you. Also while she was smoothing her skirt I swear I saw a little...~
~SHUT UP~ Pine snapped at the voice and carefully took his seat beside Roxy.
She talked about how she never went to the movies and generally waited for them to come out on DVD. Pine nodded his agreement. The last time he went to the movies was over a year ago and that was just before...before...his minds fought violently to hold down the surge of emotion trying to rise to the surface. It was about here Pine noticed one of those little thugs standing up talking to one of his friends two rows back. The jackass was interrupting the people who wanted to watch the movie.
Pine reached into his pocket and pulled out a deep colored jube-jube that matched the main color of the wall.
"Twenty points for pegging that ass in the head." Pine said and took aim.
He tossed the little invisible projectile into the air and watched it rise and begin to fall. What Pine didn't expect was the kid would raise his head to howl and his open mouth was the landing point for the jube-jube. The kid started to choke, took a step back, fell over the seat behind him, got up and ran out of the theater to the laughing and clapping of several patrons.
"Oops..." Pine began, a smile on his face. "40 points...10 for the skill shot..t-ten for public approval."

Roxy watched as he aimed to make that bet. As the kid seemed to choke Roxy covered her mouth with her hand. Behind her hand she snickered, not trying to laugh as the kid fell over the chair which made things even more amusing. As he ran out Roxy couldn't help the small laughs that escaped. Sure she felt bad that the kid was just embarrassed as all hell but he deserved it for being rude. Roxy believed in karma. You do something shitty and its going to come back at you tri-fold.
She then gave him a few light claps.
"Nice shot that was impressive. I really didn't think you were going to make it to the back of his head, it was luck that you got it where you did. I have under estimated your throwing jube-jube ability. You are thus the master and I, the student. Thou I don't think I'll be throwing any sugar coated candy any time soon."
She laughed again as she settled within her chair. Seemingly still impressed with his aim. It was still a tad early for the movie to start. On screen random movie trivia flashed. Roxy kept her eyes on the screen while directing her voice towards Pine.
"What do you like to do in your spare time. Besides go to movies with girls you barely know."
She smiled. She could guess that he was into music by the way he had met up with her, his own pair of ear buds his ears. And that he had somewhere under that shy/tough exterior, a sense of humor. Roxy liked a guy who has a sense of humor. She liked exciting people and something told her that Pine was not a dull boy. Might have been one of the reasons she invited him tonight. That and because he was new to the school like she was. No harm in hanging out with someone just as new as you were.

Pine heard a small laugh come from his side as the boy ran out of the theater. He looked out the corner of his eye to see her hand in front of her mouth. The small laugh turned into clapping as Pine tossed a jube-jube in his mouth. It seemed like she was impressed by his actions. Though he did have to admit the shot was a fluke. He did not expect to catch the kid in the mouth. It didn't make it any less funny.
"I-I'll take the...fact it was a fluke but you...you don't know what you're missing." Pine said and continued to watch the movie trivia.
It didn't take long before Roxy spoke again. Pine snapped out of his little dream world and turned his head so he was looking at Roxy. Her eyes were still on the screen as she finished speaking. The question was what should he tell her. Pine didn't do much outside of school anymore. Before, Pine had the gang and that meant plenty to do. Now the gang was gone and Pine just stayed in his room and stared at the ceiling all day. He had a quote on the ceiling he looked at all the time. For whatever reason it brought him comfort to look at.
~Have you ever dealt with people who have lost everything in an hour? In the morning you leave the house where your wife, your children, your parents live. You return to find only a smoking pit. Something in you snaps - to a certain extent you stop being human. You have no need for money or glory, revenge is your only joy. And because you no longer cling to life, Death avoids you, The bullets fly past. You become a WOLF....~ - Russian General Aleksander Lebed, Veteran Of Afghanistan
Pine could recite that quote backward and forward at any time from any point. For Pine it was something he could relate to. In one day he had lost his best friends, his gang, and his family. To know others feel the same way brought him comfort.
"Exercise, reading, sleep...Nothing interesting." Pine replied before turning back the screen.
"So what about you...what do you do for fun besides...accompanying...sh-shy guys you don't even know to movies?"

She leaned slightly towards him as she kept her eyes on the screen, keeping her voice to a minimum since the movie was bound to start any moment..
“Frankly you’re the first person I’ve taken the liberty to ask to the movies. So call it something out of the norm for me. Usually I’m the one receiving the invitation.”
She smiled while reading the words on the screen unable to answer the question. It wasn’t a hard question but it was one of those trivial questions that dealt with a movie that you’ve never seen that played back in the day.
“But I like to read murder mystery novels, watch movies, run. Be sporadic, doing things on a whim and surprising people. I like to be loud on occasions, with my mouth or my outfits. I like going to parks wither they be skate parks or state parks. I like listening to loud music and classical. Flipping through the radio, going to comedic shows...and a whole bunch of stuff.”
Roxy could go on and on but she was sure Pine would loose interest quickly. With Pine, he seemed to keep things short and simple. It made things appear studious as if he was hiding something. She was sure it had to do with something he didn’t feel like sharing. She gathered that much from there conversation earlier in the day at the school. She would keep herself in line and try to accept that he liked to be vague.
Crossing one leg over the other she would again smoothed out her skirt. Keeping her hands in her lap and her foot tapping softly on her other leg. She needed to keep moving even if she was sitting still. It was a nasty habit. Even when she talked on the phone she was walking all around her room. Circles among circles, something she did as a child and continue to do today. Her foot bouncing off her leg was barely noticeable and didn’t bother anyone she would continue to do so.
The previews kicked onto the screen as the lights dimmed all around them. The movie was about to start. People all around them would murmur and she could see flashes from cell phones as people would either turn them down or off. She had already beat it to the punch while she was waiting for Pine out front.
Taking her bottom lip into her mouth she sucked on it as her eyes kept on the screen. Showing the newer movie previews with the voice over. She always wondered why they never had a female voice over. They were always the deep sounding voices. Turning her thoughts away from that she watched the previews and gauged wether or not she would want to see any of the movies.

“Frankly you’re the first person I’ve taken the liberty to ask to the movies. So call it something out of the norm for me. Usually I’m the one receiving the invitation.”
Pine's eyes shot to the side to see Roxy had leaned in a little to speak. Yet what she said had brought up Pine's interest. If she was the one getting asked out then why bother to ask him to come along? More importantly, why pay for his ticket? There were a few things Pine knew for sure, the girl was hot, she was not dull, and for some unknown reason she was at the movies with him.
It became a little clearer when Roxy began to talk about the things she did for fun. Two of them stood out in Pine's mind, being sporadic and an enjoyment of surprising people. Both could logically explain how Pine ended up here in the first place. She asked him out to be sporadic and paid to surprise him. No that wasn't right Roxy said she would pay for him earlier. Something about paying for his company. The little voices inside his head laughed at him lightly.
~Prostitute Prostitute you're a dirty prostitute.~[/green] The little voice sang in his mind.
~She's not paying me for sex~ Pine replied.
~Escort then~ The voice corrected.
~Look at her sitting there with her legs crossed and bouncing, the little skirt and the nice shirt, why would she need an escort?~
~Good point...So why are you here?~ The voice asked quizzically.
~If I knew that...we wouldn't be having this conversation would we?~ Pine replied.
Pine sat there continuing to thing about what he was doing here in the first place. One mind on the problem and the other on her moving leg. It wasn't that it was loud or overly noticeable but it was doing a very good job of distracting Pine. Anything that moved in the corner of his eye immediately grabbed his attention. It was a habit that had kept him out of the morgue and he never wished to change it. Until this moment where his eyes kept darting from the screen to the girls leg. By the looks of her face she didn't really notice what she was doing, it was something seemingly natural.
The hand closest to Roxy reached over and placed itself on her knee. Pine then leaned in and whispered softly. "Sorry to ask...but would you mind not doing that....I-It's a li-little distracting."

Pine's hand on her bare knee detoured her attention from the large screen, looking at him and then at her foot. She gave an uneasy look as she mouthed 'oops' tucking her toes behind her calf.
"Sorry. Didn't realize I was doing it. One of my quirks unfortunately."
The rest of the movie seemed to go smoothly. Roxy barely budged, containing herself to an extent but still being aware should she begin tapping her finger or moving her toes. The girl tried hard to make sure she sat still.
As the credits started rolling she could hear the murmurs around the crowd start to grow as people would start to rise and make their way towards the exit. Roxy however, stayed sitting in the chair turning her upper torso towards Pine as she spoke freely and at her normal volume.
"I might just have to grab the DVD when it comes out. I wouldn't mind watching that one again. It will always amaze me with how much special effects they put into a movie. Did you like it?"
She smiled and then stood to her feet, raising her arms towards the sky to stretch out, moving on her toes. They had been sitting for a little over two hours, a girl was bout to become stiff. Most of the crowd was gone so Roxy put her hands on the chair in front of her and turned her eyes back to the screen reading more of the credits waiting for Pines response about the movie.

Roxy apologized for the tapping that distracted Pine. In truth, he wasn't looking for an apology just that she was aware it he noticed it. As it turned out it was one of her 'quirks' and Pine felt bad for asking her to stop. He would be sure in the future to ignore such movements if they came from her. It would be easy enough now that he was he was informed it was not something she did consciously. Pine removed his hand unwillingly from her knee and went back to watching the movie.
The movie wasn't bad of course Pine could see many things from his vantage point. Good because it meant no obstructions during the movie but bead because every little thing distracted him. So when someone picked up their cellphone during the movie or started adding their own commentary they were quickly silenced by a jube-jube to the head, face or phone. In fact, Pine had run out of jube-jubes half way through the movie and had to duck out quickly to get more. Luckily he was able to do so at a slow part and really didn't miss anything. By the end of the movie Pine would estimate about a quarter of the patrons had been hit by hostile jube-jube fire. The only question was, which did he enjoy more, the movie or pegging people with jube-jubes.
The movie ended and Roxy turned to Pine and mentioned how she might get the movie when it comes out and how the amount of special effects always amazed her. As she stretched Pine of course tilted his head just enough so he could watch. She had a very pleasing body to say the least but Pine would not act on his impulses. There were still a few things he needed to sort out before he even considered anything more than friendship with any female. Still he would bet she was quite the monster in the sack.
"Yeah...It was what I expected from a comic book movie no more no less. It was at the level of 300 but was no Sin City. I'll probably head down to China town in a week and pick it up for 5 dollars." Pine said and got up.
He didn't stretch like Roxy did but merely cracked his neck and arched his back. With a little bit of a shake he began to lead the way out of the theater.
"Man I have never used so many jube-jubes in one movie in my entire life." He walked out into the main hall and turned to face his movie buddy.
"So what's next miss spur of the moment? Another Movie? Food? Call it a night?" Pine asked in the closest to a joking manner he could muster.

“Im sure everyone that got hit by one enjoyed them also. I know the cleaning guy will love you.”
She said with a small laugh following behind him from their seats and them moved beside him once they approached the main hall. She tried hard not to giggle when he would launch one after the other. It wasn’t hard to notice his arm jerk from the throw or the grunt, squeal or clink that the small candies caused.
As he addressed what they should do or just call it a night she shook her head and smiled.
“Call it a night? The night is just beginning. And here I thought you were an adventurer. But now that you mention it I did kinda get hungry towards the end of the movie. We can hit the boardwalk see what’s open? I have a hankering for french fries and a milkshake. Mmm.”
She smacked her lips together in anticipation. The thought of french fries seemed to make her belly respond and with her, her belly always won. Now most people wouldn’t think she would eat much since it was after all the day and age of skinny, skinny. But she liked food. She wasn’t about to starve herself for her appearance. Instead she would watch what she ate and thank her parents for her great metabolism as well as her daily run. She wasn’t shy about food or shy about much of anything. So it seemed fitting that the girl would eat anything in front of anyone.
“Then from there we can think of something wild. I was always a better thinker when I have food in my belly.”
She looked towards Pine with a smile. She loved going out instead of being cramped inside a house. Spring was here and it was time to get out and make those hum drum winter blues go away. To hell with cabin fever she wanted out to be carefree and explore.
