So, the last time that Kate and Nick hung out they had been kicked out of a bar. And true to the blonde's word, she had bought the damn place. It was pretty cleared out at this point, all the basic furniture and people having been removed. The lights were all on and it didn't look very club like. And since they had history here, Kate sent a text to Nick asking him to meet her here. It was the middle of the day and the club wouldn't be open in the least bit. But she was asking him to meet her here anyways. Might be fun to bounce some ideas off of him.
Kate was wearing tight dark washed jeans, and a white silk dress shirt with black strappy heals as normal. The pale girl had her hair in a braid, which laid on her right shoulder. She held a clipboard in her left hand and a pen in her right. Her boys were standing around guarding the place and such. They had instructions to let Nick in when he showed, and to let him know where she was. The blonde was writing down ideas to change the paint color and what not. Doing her normal thing.

Nick's phone buzzed while he was working in his father's studio by himself, using the soundproofed recording area to record a riff he had come up with as to not forget it. Nick had been neglecting his drum practice to get better at the guitar.
He put his Ibanez down and walked over to pick up his phone which had a new text message. It was from Kate!? He hadn't talked to or seen her since their night at the club. When they had gotten abnormally drunk.
What surprised Nick about the text though, is that it told him to meet her at the club at which they had gone to that night. During the middle of the day. Nick shrugged to himself and texted her back saying he'd be there in a half hour.
He shot out of the studio, ran upstairs, got naked, showered, and put on a pair of jeans and one of his tight black shirts. No hoodie today, as it was rather warm outside. He slid back downstairs and grabbed his necessary items. Wallet, phone, and keys to the townhouse and the BMW, which his father had left him today.
Nick arrived at the club five minutes after he said he would be there, but no matter. He parked, and went up to the door, where Kate's body guards were standing, them letting him in right away. He entered the club to see that there was complete remodeling being done to the place, Kate standing right in the middle of it. He could tell because she looked good today. Really good. Like she had gotten a beauty boost of some kind from the last time her saw her.
He walked up to her and smiled widely.
"Allo, love. Miss me?"

Kate grinned slightly. Boys with accents would never get old. The blonde lifted an eyebrow just slightly and smirked at him and his little comment. The pale girl just grinned at him and nodded to the blank canvas of an area.
"Maybe, maybe not. I'll let you decide. I thought you could help me out, figuring what to do with this place."
The pale girl stepped closer to him, showing him the clip board. It was a detailed list of options. As in, spaces for paint, different chair choices, booze, DJ booths, etc. She just had to check mark next to them, or fill in certain choices and the list could be sent off and everything would be purchased for her. Simple work and all the foot work would be done for her. Life was nice when you were rich.
The hand with the pen lifted and she moved bangs out of her emerald eyes. There was a slight twinkle there as the female smiled at him. In fact she handed the clip board to him.
"Any comments or ideas?"

Nick starred at her with a look of non-belief.
"Kate. Did you really go ahead and buy this place like you said you would? I might have been drunk, but I can definitely remember something as bold as that..."
He already knew the answer when he asked the question, but he had to hear it from her mouth. No matter the answer, he would turn towards the empty scenery, and look around at it.
"Well... It was a pretty nice place, I thought... well what kind of people did you want to attract?"

Was it that shocking really? The idea that she had bought this, maybe on a whim or revenge on the now-fired bartender, or what not? She was Kate McHallin, with almost endless money. She could have almost anything she wanted. Including the expensive cars parked out front and the designer clothing she wore, and this damned night club.
"Nick darling, this isn't the first club I've bought. I own chains of them and businesses, and what not. I run them all. I make all the big choices and decisions. I am the last McHallin left, it's all mine. And I make money out of these places easier than it takes someone to take a shit."
Maybe a bit graphic, but she wasn't being mean about it at least. Just factual. In fact she was saying it in a matter of fact sort of way. She looked around and grinned though.
"I want to attract the scenesters, the people who are stupid and spend oodles of money in these sorts of places. Rich people, and wanna bes man. They'd shell out cash like no other."

Nick chuckled at her poor but humorous analogy. Nick really didn't know how rich she actually was until right now, him looking about at the once elegant night club, now being remodeled by the one and only Kate McHallin.
"Hm, I guess I never fully realized how much you could do."
He turned to her and smirked oddly, realizing how weird that must have sounded.
"But why call me down here to get my opinion? I don't have any taste in this stuff and I'm surely not a scenester." he asked as he turned back to look at his surroundings.

Kate tapped the end of the pen on her full lips, as if thinking why she had even called him down here. The blonde chuckled just a bit, going down memory lane for a touch.
"We have memories here, and you're a friend. Why wouldn't I call you down to bounce ideas off of you?"
She chuckled a second time, then walked out to where the dance floor was. The wooden floor was completely empty, and one of the guards was poking around with the lights, checking to see which ones worked and which ones didn't work. Some different colors flashed on the pale female, lighting her up.
"Don't you think that would be a good enough idea? Or would you not do the same if you were in my shoes?"
She lifted a high heeled foot as a joke, as if to suggest that he should try and fit his feet in her high heels. That would be funny indeed.

Nick smiled at the blonde's enthusiasm. He enjoyed spending time with her, it was fun for him and hopefully her too, he thought.
"Well, if I had a friend as cute as I of the opposite gender, I would invite them as well." he joked.
He smiled and walked over to where Kate was on the dance floor. He would motion his arms in a way to insinuate that he wanted to dance, and if she let him, he would lightly grab her side and clasp her hand in his and begin to waltz with her. As they glided across the dance floor, he would continue to talk to her.
"Now, if I had to remodel a night club, I would make sure that the bar is fully stocked with the best quality alcohol, the most knowledgeable bartenders, et cetera."
He would spin her around under his arched arm, before resuming position and continuing once more.
"The DJ must be the center of the club because he is what creates the mood of the entire place. I prefer dance or electronica. And the feeling of the place needs to keep you wanting to come back for more."
At this last sentence, he would dip Kate and move in towards her face, and smirk before bringing her out of the dip and backing off bowing towards her to signal the end of their little shuffle.

The moment he started dancing Kate was a bit surprised, she went along with it as best she could still holding a clip board in her hand. There was a smirk on her lips as he dipped her, and once that was over she stood on her feet and flipped her braid over her shoulder once again.
"The DJ booth in the middle would be a good idea. Kind of like an awesome island of music and all. We'd need to make it rather interesting looking though, with glass panels and such."
She was already writing the ideas down. The club would be taken in an entirely different direction, but the blonde thought it would be a good one. More futuristic and punky than anything else. It would certainly be a good spin on the clubs around here. She'd have to rename the place. The Waterfall just wouldn't work for that theme.
"I'll certainly be hiring new bartenders."
It was a hint of sorts. She was serious about her promises and what she said. That bar tender wouldn't find any work in this area any time soon. Unless he groveled and apologized to Kate. And even then it was a maybe.

"I'm no good with decorating. I'm more of a music man myself. If you couldn't tell."
He could imagine a DJ in-the-round. It would be pretty cool if the booth was moved to the center and the dance floor expanded to encircle the DJ while he did his thing from every side.
"I don't really think I'll be much help unless you want me to be your yes man; your personal adviser. Remember, the first time I went to a club was the time I went with you."
He looked at her with smirk, remembering how drunk they were and how they had still beat the shit out of the bouncers.

Personal adviser? Well, wasn't that an interesting idea? She had a billion of those for each company. They helped the CEOs with their every day work. The blonde just grinned for a moment, quickly checking off choices that would be good for the club. Dark marble floors, moving the light setting around which would mean rewiring shit to a whole new spot (yay for that!), and of course figuring out the right shape of the booth. Circle? Octagon? Triangle? Something to that degree. It'd be interesting... and clever. Might even match the bar to it almost.
She flipped some paper over and started to do some sketches, trying to figure out what went where and all that jazz. The pale girl stopped for a moment and offered Nick a very warm smile.
"Thanks Nick."
Sweet and friendly. He was helping by a lot. Some times it just took a new look at things to get the creative juices flowing.

"You're very welcome, love."
He looked at her and smiled. She was looking very professional today. Well, more professional than he had ever seen her. It wouldn't hurt to compliment, right?
"And you look very lovely today, by the way."
Nick liked how his accent rolled off the compliments when he made them. He thought it added a little something extra to the sincerity of the whole thing. He smiled wider, blushing slightly at the fact that it actually came out of his mouth. She was a friend, not one of the girls he chased after. Or so he had thought...

That eyebrow arched once again. Was he hitting on her? Honestly, was he? She had thought they had drawn that line in the sand last time they had met. She had Adrian, and Nick and Kate were friends. That had been the understanding at that point, before all that drinking had happened. Which of course was a good thing. Adrian... Well, truth be told ever seen the boy had lost his money things had changed. Not because Kate liked a man with money, but rather because it had taken the fire out of Adrian. There wasn't any pep in his step, or anything like it. The thing that had brought them together, that had interested the blonde was... gone.
Which of course put her a bit off as her smile faltered for just a second. Hard things to realize, coming out of nowhere. She bent over that clip board, suddenly double checking all her choices. It didn't change what Nick had said however.
"Thank you Nick. I do try."
She chuckled, playing it off as a joke. Between friends. Because that's what they were right? Friends?

Nick chuckled as he went over to sit on one of the still intact bar stools.
"Psh, you don't need to try, Kate. You know that."
Apparently he was flirting with her. He didn't really know why, other than that was who he was, but he couldn't help himself. Nick knew she was seeing Adrian, with whom he thought he had a class once but still hadn't met, but there was always that half of him that didn't care if the person he was flirting with was taken or not.

Yup, that was flirting. He was flirting with her. Lots of boys did, to be honest. So many... but that's what came with being pretty, right? Or the captain of the cheer squad? Or rich? Or a billion other things... right? Her gaze went back to the dance floor, and a grin broke out on her pale face.
"You know... we could turn this into something different all together," Never mind the fact that the Reapers would be meeting up here. Meetings would be taking place. But of course, Nick wasn't a Reaper, so Kate didn't tell him that little factoid. "If we turned this place into a fight arena. That would be funny as hell. The dance floor is the dueling grounds n' shit."
The idea made her laugh and think about fight club. Man, that would be awesome. To have an actual fight club. Kate felt the urge to fight. Why? Because she loved the rush she got when she fought with people. The female smiled at Nick and lifted an eyebrow.
"Well, what do you think?"
