Sara thought she was doing quite well considering the one glass. Maybe she was slightly more tipsy then she was letting on, maybe not. She wasn't going to tell. So when he offered to get her another glass she jumped on it. "Ya, sure. Sounds good... Please... and thank you."
She popped another bite of chicken in her mouth and looked around for the waiter. Eager much? Maybe a little. Under the table, the leg that wasn't rubbing against his was bouncing on the foot, the restlessness and drink finally kicking in. Another bite of chicken and she set her fork down. She needed to pace herself, or run out of food before he did. And that wouldn't be good. She looked over to him, blushing and giggling again. "You're cute, you know that?"

Nick signaled for the waiter to get the lady another glass of wine. He looked back at her and saw she was rather anxious to get the second cup. He smiled. Obviously she liked the wine. Either that, or she was already drunk off of one glass.
"You're cute, you know that?"[/i]
Nick looked at her suspiciously. She was acting strangely now, and even though the previous statement was true, he was a bit concerned.
"Thanks... you are too... a-are you alright, Sara?"
He returned the compliment like it was a loaded question and asked his question rather slowly. Hopefully she'd tell him as easily as she told him about her earlier.

She continued to smile politely at his expression. He looked a little suspicious, she assumed it was because of the same reason she might look suspicious at a compliment. Because they thought the person was lying. She continued to hold his gaze, oblivious to the fact that he was genuinely concerned about her.
"Thanks... you are too... a-are you alright, Sara?"
Her smile faltered only slightly at this, and she immediately bounced back. "I'm fine." *Giggle* "Why? Does something seem wrong?" *Giggle*
In Sara's mind, she was fine. If he wanted an answer, he was going to need to get more specific. If anything, she was great right now! <3 In fact, the moment she had started drinking, everything became twice as good. It had been a while since she had felt so good. She had been able to avoid indulging in drinking while being alone at home, but now that she had finally given into that craving? She felt great!! She was in for a terrible few days after this... Unless she could just stay drunk forever! =D?!
The waiter placed the second glass in front of her and she smiled up at him, thanking him politely. The moment he was away from the table she picked up the glass and took a small gulp. She licked her lips, looking into the glass and then over at Nick. She needed to slow down... What was she thinking...? She could ruin the whole date if she kept this up. A blush touched her face as she realized what she had been doing and then placed the glass above her plate, hoping the distance would slow her down. Then she smiled sheepishly at Nick.

Nick's speculation was confirmed when she got the second glass and immediately took a sip from it. She noticed him watching her and he put the glass down and smiled at him.
"I was going to say that you seem... whats the word...
He knew the word he wanted to say but it seemed a but harsh. Maybe she was already too intoxicated to care.
"... drunk. Off a single glass of wine."
This whole date had been rather blunt with the conversations, so why stop now? He really liked Sara, and if she liked him the same way, he'd think she would continue to be forward with him. He probably would forgive her anyway, and just be a little more cautious for her because she'd be drunk.

"I was going to say that you seem... whats the word... drunk. Off a single glass of wine."
Wow... He was blunt wasn't he? Her blushed but continued to hold his gaze. Her expression hardened only slightly. The small flame of anger she felt inside was at herself, not him. She should have known better then to start drinking, but now that she had started, she was damn well going to keep going. She would pay for this later, more then enough, when the withdrawal started. Wasn't that enough?
She just needed to calm down... She didn't want to ruin this date. That was the last thing she wanted. Out of everything, she wanted this to go well. It was just going to be a matter now of balancing out her drinking and keeping her cool and hiding the severe buzz she was already supporting.
She tried to lighten her expression as her vision suddenly went all wavy and crazy, her head spinning. Excellent! Let the drunk begin!! "Me...? Drunk off a single glass? No, of course not!" She laughed and took another bite of her chicken. "I'm having a good time, this is great!"

Nick sighed. She wasn't telling him the truth like he hoped, but he decided to let it slide because she said she was having a great time, and that's what really mattered to him. Nick finished the last couple bites of his Fillet Mignon, and downed the rest of his wine, which was nearly empty anyways.
"If you say so, love."
He smiled at Sara and his slumped back in his chair, full and waiting for her to finish her meal. Nick wouldn't have a second glass of wine because he was driving, so he signaled the waiter to get him the check.

"If you say so, love."
Whew. Sigh of relief. And cue the giggle and being called 'love' <3 Sara took another bite of her chicken when she realized that he was already done and signaling the waiter. How long had they been here? It couldn't have been to long right? She picked up her glass and took a small sip. She didn't feel right holding him up like this, so she took one more bite, pushed her plate away and took a larger gulp of the wine. By the time the waiter showed up with the check, it would be gone, so there was no need to rush it. As much as she wanted to.
She sighed, smiling at him, wondering if he had any other plans for the night. Truth be told, she wanted to go back home, get into her pajamas and cuddle up with him on the couch. "So, um. Did you have anything else planned for tonight, or did you maybe want to come back to my place, put on a movie?"

The question shocked Nick a bit. Normally, first dates didn't end up with a late night movie at the girl's house, but Nick could definitely make an exception because they had hit it off so well. He decided to play it off causally.
"Um, yeah, I'd love to. I have nothing else to do and there's no school tomorrow."
Nick hadn't watched a movie with a girl since... well Sam, which was a week ago, but he hadn't watched a movie with a girl who liked him in a long time. The last time was when he was still in England.
"What movie did you have in mind?"
The waiter came with the check as he said this and he open up the check and looked at the bill. It wasn't terrible, but it showed that they had a nice dinner. He stuck the credit card in the check sleeve, and put it at the edge of the table.

"Um, yeah, I'd love to. I have nothing else to do and there's no school tomorrow."
Sara smiled like a kid on Christmas. Ohhh!! That was right!! No school tomorrow! She could live out this hangover and withdrawal in peace! Oh thank goodness! And on top of that, he was going to come back with her! How nice! She let out a nice laugh, and then finished her wine, licking her lips.
"What movie did you have in mind?"
Immediately she came back with "Nothing scary." She giggled nervously as the waiter left the check. She wasn't any good with scary movies, but if that was what he wanted, then she guessed it would be fine. "Unless... You wanted to watch a scary one...? I have lots of choices at home... You'll see." She smiled encouragingly.
She wondered if she should pitch for the check... Was it right..? Maybe she would offend him if she even tried. That wouldn't be good. Not at all. But it wouldn't hurt to ask. It would hurt more if he expected her to and she didn't offer. "So um... How much do I owe you...?"

Nick looked up at her with an eyebrow raised. Did she really just ask that to him?
"Sara, I took you on the date, I'll pay for all of it, don't worry."
Apparently Sara hadn't been on many dates. The guy always pays unless there's some sort of special circumstance. He looked at her in question.
"Why would I invite you to dinner and have you pay for it?" he chuckled.
The waiter came by to take the check and credit card as Nick awaited an answer. He just thought it kind of strange that she wouldn't know such common knowledge. Maybe it was an American thing to do.

She watched him, tensed, as she waited for his answer. Sara wasn't really a date person. She could count the dates she had been on with one hand. The last one had been with Travis. But of course he had paid. They had been living together though, and her money was his money and vice versa. So technically, they had both paid. and the guy didn't always pay either. That was sexist! But her mind was to fogged to call him on it. And to top it off. She had money. Lots. Enough to support herself for a long time courtesy of a hardworking family trying to hide the black sheep.
"Sara, I took you on the date, I'll pay for all of it, don't worry... Why would I invite you to dinner and have you pay for it?"
She leaned back in her chair. She might have been blushing, but her cheeks were flushed anyways from the quickly growing drunk she had coming on, her eyes kind of droopy and sleepy. Not that she was sleepy, she was just... drunk. Lovely~
"Well... The guy doesn't ALWAYS pay... And I just wanted to make sure... I mean, I would feel bad if I didn't at least ask only to find out I was supposed to pay half... right?" She laughed. "I didn't mean to offend you. I'm sorry. Anyways, ready to go? I'll make us popcorn~!" She smiled proudly as though it was the greatest thing on earth that she could make popcorn <3

She had a point. It used to be that it was customary for the guy to pay for the date, but now it was more of a team play. And what she said about being rude and being safe by asking him, was true as well. Nick didn't care to dwell on it, as it wasn't that big of a deal.
"You have a point, love. And I'd like some popcorn; it'd be nice."
He smiled, thinking of them on the couch together watching a movie and eating popcorn. Nick's eyes lit up instantly.
"Buttered popcorn."
And what a strange statement for the waiter to return the check to him to. He thanked the waiter and he got up and went around to pull out Sara's chair and help her up. They would go to the front and he would get his car back from the valet, help Sara in the car, and then for the ride back to her house.

"Buttered popcorn."
Sara's mouth watered. That sounded gooood. Now she was excited. She would watch the scariest movie on earth if she could just get her hands on the butteriest popcorn EVAR. She was pretty sure she had popcorn at home. She would have to melt extra butter...
She was spacing out. She felt the chair move and she stood up, turning back to see Nick. AH~ Time to go. She tripped slightly, a little wobbly on her feet, but she was fine. She knew it would only get worse, but at least she would be at home by that point. She giggled at her clumsiness, and followed back out to his car.
He held the door again for her, and she hopped inside. As soon as she settled into the seat, she was GONE, spaced out as she stared out the window <3 Sara loved car rides.

Nick had gotten a hang of this American driving. He was a very good driver, if he did say so himself. At the next red light, he looked over at Sara. She hadn't said anything or made any noises so far.
She seemed really spaced out. It boggled Nick's mind how someone could get drunk off two glasses of wine, but here was Sara, looking drunk as someone who had been at a bar for a good portion of the night. He felt responsible and concerned.
"Sara, are you alright? You look a bit... out of it..." he said at her with a furrowed brow.
The light turned green and he resumed driving towards their destination.

Sara stared out the window, her mind drawing a complete blank. She always felt so at ease in cars. She could just lose her mind to the scenes passing by. It was a good feeling. Relaxing.
She was pulled slowly from her mind by the sound of Nicks voice. She would have just ignored it, had it been anyone else, continuing to stare out the window, not a care in the world, but then she remembered that she was on a date.
She turned her head to look at him, smiling happily at him. It was turning out to be a good night. She was feeling VERY~~~ nice. "Eh? Sorry? I'm fine." She shifted in her seat, turning to face him. She didn't want to stare out the window and ignore him for much longer. That wasn't right.
"What did you think of dinner? You're having a good time right...?"
