Thread title: you little punk.
“YOU LITTLE PUNK, GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE, IM GOING TO SHOVE A HOT ROD UP IT!” When Bastille was perceived as a rather lazy, no a care in the world person…many fresh men who sought to steal her lunch where sourly mistaken. Bastille was legend only because she had trained and been enslaved under Amtrum but with him gone once again and the jacket supposedly passed off she was free to create her own legend. In this department she was sadly lacking. However it was not over yet…
But days like this where indeed set backs. As the neutral observer who was indeed supposed to be above violence and learn to make peace by other means…she was having a bit of trouble. And by a bit…its actually a lot. But food stealing was simply an unforgivable crime. She chased the kid down and had pulled out a loaded gun only to have it removed from campus in no time flat, but a stroke of luck had given her enough time to sneak away from the principle and after the culprit before he took a bit into her sandwich. She flipped down on the scene and smashed her sword into the ground. The kid scrambled and went to run.
“GET BACK HERE!” she screamed going to run after him.
A good note, never steal her food. It’s a complete waste of your time and energy, and in some cases your long saved up money.
Bastille had been able to zoom in front of the kid and slammed her sword into the concrete damaging it a bit but was now set to jumping up and full out jumping the kid. AS she tackled him to the ground she stood up pulling his underwear with her as she used her foot to keep his upper body smashed into the ground.
“RELENQUISH THE FOOD YOU DOG!” her heavy British accent only made her voice more hoarse and angry sounding.

"Better do what she asks," Matrim said, and almost as if by hearing her voice his own accent started to come back to him. It had left him most of the time, replaced with an American one because of the time he had spent in this country. But the fact was that for the better part of fourteen or so years he was living in England, being raised by his family, most of which had a British accent. Still, something about hearing a British accent was nice. Not to mention the girl had hair he had never seen before, it was strange and very.... original. Wait a second....
"I think I've seen you before..." He said, walking in on the scene and looking from her to the kid, "You went to 259.... I think.... I think I saw you out on the track field or something.... I'm afraid I didn't catch your name though...."
Matrim also took a look to see she had a weapon on her, "Ordinarily we Pillars get upset over fights on campus, but all I see is someone punishing a thief, am I correct?" Matrim said kneeling down in front of the kids face, "Give her back what you took from her now. Or I'll turn my head away, and when I turn back and see a dead body, I'll have to assume it was a tragic accident."
Matrim grinned and looked up at the girl, "My name is Matrim Gallagher, what's yours?"

Crimson hues glided up towards the pillar. She was in a bit of a funk, since it was indeed the pillars who had about half an hour ago confiscated her gun. She wanted to cry over that…a gun was a precious item, and very expensive. But a loss was a loss…sacrifices must be made to obtain nutrients. Her hand dropped the kid as he weaseled the lunch to her his arms shaking form her trashing. She snatched it up and took it without acknowledging much. She remembered the towel fight at 259…that was fun…but her memory was jaded as to this young man. She took her booted foot off the kid.
“Bastille. Bastille Alana Cunningham…nice to meet you” her voice was once again monotone and rather bored sounding but she held out her hand for him to shake it. She removed the go-gurt from her lunch pale and stuck it in her mouth.

“Bastille. Bastille Alana Cunningham…nice to meet you” Matrim shook her hand quickly and rose up. The kid seemed a little shaky, and Matrim narrowed his eyes towards the kid who seemed glad to be freed from his captors foot. She seemed to be eating one of those on the go yogurt things. Matrim was never much for yogurt. He liked his fruit in it's actual fruit form. Banana's, apples, oranges, you name it. He liked those healthy foods in their raw state.
"Likewise," He said, "You know, if you are interested in sports you should try out. You seemed to be rather good at handling that kid, and I can see you like swords.... fencing. We don't have a fencing team. How would you like to have one?" He said, "Then again with no weekends and all the homework we've been getting lately I suppose it might be hard to pile on.... but given that things calm down before too long, is that something you would be interested in?"
Sure Matrim was a bit of a chatty guy, but he meant well. After all, he didn't know a damned thing about this girl, all he had to go on was the sharp object that she stuck in the concrete as well as the fact that she seemed to be rather serious about her lunch.
Her eyes.... their red. Strange....

“nah…thanks though, im busy and rather lazy…ill leave a fencing team up to someone more enthusiastic about it…besides I cheat and use gymnastics in my style…forgive me for sounding cocky but a bit advanced for small poke”
She had thrown her arms behind her head and was leaning back slightly. Her eyes looked bored and closed after a minute her stance being that of nonchalant once again. She shrugged and opened her eyes again to look at him. A fencing team would be fun, but he was right…with all the extra hours. School was getting pretty time consuming. But this guy seemed like an interesting pillar… not like the other stingy ones she had so much seducing to get the chance to get her lunch back, not that she did much..she wasn’t a whore. But she could tell this guy wasn’t taken in by such childish antics. She was quite curious about this one too..and wasn’t he hat Serans gathering the other night? Something of which she kept her lips rather tightly sealed.

"On the contrary, I like a person who has a lot of self confidence," Matrim said. He was rather starting to like this person, especially given her attitude. She seemed like the type who would make a good fighter, such a shame that he couldn't fight on school grounds or he'd ask if the girl was up for a sparring session. He was always looking for another challenge, someone to help him get stronger, someone he could help get stronger, a rival of sorts. But he wasn't sure if she was all the strong. It wasn't like he could gauge her on this encounter.
"I don't suppose you're interested in any other sports team like track and field or gymnastics?" He asked, shrugging slightly. It was a stretch, but what the hell might as well go for broke right? After all, he was always recruiting for sports teams. Strange though, it always seemed more like he was a sports agent for 42 than he was an actual Varsity Captain. "And if you have a moment maybe we could go back to the cafeteria and find a place to sit. I'd like to know your opinion on the schools current situation.... what with this Purple guy adding hours of homework and taking away the weekend. I could use a fresh mind to pick at... "
Not like I'm not human, I may be a pillar but I'm still clueless as to finding a solution that would get this guy off our backs and get students to stop rioting.....
"If you aren't too busy... that is."

“not…let the interrogation commence” she said lunch sack in hand she walked slowly to retrieve her sword and sheath it, the followed him to the cafeteria. She had shook her head at the sports questions and given him the ‘sports are idiotic and a complete waist of my time’ look. She walked slowly a hummed to herself as her bored expression only changed with the movement of her mouth nibbling at the yogurt tube. When they reached the lunch area she sat down and sat her lunch bag down, protectively, in front of her.
She finally looked back up at him. “alright now the questions again please…im rather short on short term memory space so er…im not quite sure what you asked.” She said quietly and continued to nibble her yogurt. This guy was strong...she could tell. Of course no pillar was ever weak…Bastille knew in a fight she would be able to hold her own for a little while and that cooled her urge to go off and train her ass off…….again. Ever since Amtrum had passed his coat elsewhere other then her arms…she took it as a sign that her body was in serious need of improvement.

"Well, the sports one you answered," Matrim said, recalling the swing and a miss after finding a place to sit down. He then thought about a better way to word the question since he was going to ask her, "The situation with the school board, thoughts concerns? Are you one to take up arms and riot or would you rather seek for a peaceful solution from both sides? Believe it or not I've heard a lot of ideas... one of which was to create an army run by the Pillars... and believe it or not that came from somebody who wasn't a pillar. It was quite disturbing to hear actually..."
Though having your own personal army definitely had it's advantages.... like a ton of them..... except for the whole being abused by a power hungry pillar thing.... if only there was some way to know we wouldn't get all power hungry out of nowhere.
Unfortunately there was no way to know if the other pillars would. He knew very little about Linda herself, while he knew a little of Damien. That is... he thought he did. The guy was a bit strange, and freaked Matrim out. Yet at times it seemed like... almost like a sinking familiarity. Something like a past life connection, or maybe something in common he hadn't figured out yet. He just got that feeling for some reason.

Bastille shrugged and fiddled with her juice box. She then placed it down with a tap and sighed turning back to face him a little but keeping her natural bored expression. He face didn’t even wince at the question. Really she knew a lot about the current events however she could care less about any of them…all of them seemed rather childish. But it was not her place to intervene nor take a side. Sure being neutral could be looked upon as bad, but being not involved…well no one could see that as anything. But unfortunately she knew what was going on and therefore had some involvement. She would resign this notion however, it was of great hindrance to her to be linked to such a mess-waiting-to-happen.
“I think close to nothing of it, it is the school boards choice to do such things, and it is their school…it is our job as students to obey them…as for riots, I am neither for nor opposed. I have a taste for action, and I do so enjoy to see people standing up for what they believe in…however if childish and naive in notion then I am sourly bored with the whole ordeal…I choose to watch, nothing more nothing less..” she said bluntly and went to sip her juice again.

Matrim was thrown off by her answer. It was.... beautiful. He nearly wanted to cry it was such a great answer to his question. If only more students were like this one! Someone who wasn't necessarily against acts of violence so much as the acts of retardation such as rioting. As if you'll riot and people will go, 'oh shit! They rioted... I guess we'll have to reverse our decision. Damn it all to hell Frank, how did they know that rioting was our kryptonite!'. Although, Matrim liked ending the riots. Because, hello, he loved fighting.
There were plenty of students walking around campus with burn wounds to prove his point.
"Good answer," Matrim said, "A taste for action? So, are you a fighter then? I mean, I see the sword use and how you took that kid out. But there is a difference between a person who can fight and a person who enjoys fighting."

Bastille smirked and shrugged again. She had continued to opening her sandwich and was about to eat it when he asked. She set it down and went to look at him with her arms crossed. She wondered why all the questions about fighting…wasn’t there plenty of other questions that could be asked…and probably of more interest.
“well, let me put it this way…I never enter a fight without having a definite goal to gain from it. In all actuality I cant say if im a good fighter, depends on whom im fighting…as it stands im am both a fighter at heart, and in a matter of pride, a good fighter. They can be the same at times.” She said as-a-matter-of-fact like. Her smile was small and she went next to bite into her sandwich waiting for the next question. This was interesting…in turn she was going to have some questions for him as well. Strike that she would ask one now..
“but let me ask you this…what makes a good fighter or one who is a fighter?”

“but let me ask you this…what makes a good fighter or one who is a fighter?”
"Well I suppose it's different for everyone, and what terms they prefer for each definition. But, mine would be that a good fighter knows when to fight and when not to fight. A good fighter can keep his or her mind in the heat of a moment and not lose him or herself to the action..." He said, his eyes looking down at the table as he thought about the answer, "A fighter in general, someone who fights on no matter what. Somebody willing to stand up for their beliefs. Of course, I would never think somebody wasn't a good fighter for being persistent... huh, guess this question was a lot harder to answer then I originally thought..."
Matrim laughed a little at the question. Realizing that sometime he could be a little of both definitions. He was really strange in that way, it all depended on his mood but sometimes he would find himself looking for options other than fighting, and then he would turn around and want to punch his way into solving something. It was just so much more simpler when you could hit your problems away...
"So Bastille," Matrim said, enjoying the fact that she had smiled for a moment, even if it was small. "Tell me about yourself, so far all I know is you can hold your own, you've got self confidence, you like food, and you have red eyes. Not much to form an educated first impression."

“ahh, well now now…trying to get to know our student body are we?”
Her eyes narrowed and her lips formed a coy smile. She rested her head on her elbow and leaned into it thinking about it for a moment it was a rather hard question to answer. Not like she had things to hide, only a time limit.
“basically like everyone else here, I have my own sad sob story to tell…but that’s unimportant. Really no one cares as to who I really am. Im an ex-assassin (recently rehired but that was info unnecessary to be spilled) born and raised in Lincolnshire England. I was brought up in a rich family, shit went down, ran away to live here. I live a solid life simply watching…I prefer it that way. I like to believe I’ve learned everything I can from actually partaking in battles…im trying to step back a bit now. Besides this schools full of world ruler wannabes or mystic hero die hards…im neither…simply an observer. Does that answer your question?

"Ex assassin huh?" Matrim said, and laughed a little it at the thought of it. Killing someone for money, it kind of reminded him of Lina, and how she was a part of the mob. How she was the shoot em up kill people type like that, except with assassin it was more of a one person deal. You didn't have a team usually, and you usually didn't take on large groups. So it'd be a good gig for somebody confident in their own skill. Still, Matrim couldn't see himself being paid to do something like that. "Guess that's a pretty good paying gig..... and yeah, that answered my question."
Ok so let's run the list shall we? Likes food, likes swordplay, likes money most likely, prefers solidarity and being left out of stuff that does not concern her, comes from money, has fought enough to be a good and skilled fighter, is most likely good at killing since she's still here today....
"All in all I'd say you're a pretty scary person that I really don't want to piss off," Matrim said with a smile on his face. He was quick to catch on to how people operate, and this was one of the few things he was really sure about, tying up loose ends, and making sure that he wouldn't have problems with someone, "So if I ever do something to piss you off, just tell me and I'll fix it. Because I'd rather not piss off someone who is a professional killer."

“well…” She leaned in smirking coyly.
“usually giving me a four star meal makes me very happy, im not a big fan of money but I don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. And besides…most of the people I killed had little to no fighting experience…here im just like all the rest of the small fry...probably easy to beat from someone of your standards as well…don’t get me wrong. Im very confident in my skill…” she said stealing the persons at the table behind hers fries then returning to nibble on them, facing forward. She grinned. She then pointed at him with a fry and returned to a bored look.
“but what about yourself? Your history…and what kind of person would a pillar be if he continuously asked his students personal questions…is it a fear tactic or does getting to know them help you in someway?” she was curious.
