Kate felt like being... silly. That's right silly. She was in a world of confusion, and didn't feel like thinking it through. Who did she blame? Adrian Hanlon. That's who she damn well blamed. Him and the Russian, Cutie. All she remembered of that one's name was Fion, so that's what she was going with.
So Kate was in an empty classroom, on the desks. That's right, her feet were on the desks. She was standing on them like she was on the ground, walking from desk to desk in long strides. Some of them wobbled, but she went on with her strides not faltering.
Yeah, Kate was walking on desk tops. She was wearing jeans, and a t-shirt. That was about it. The blonde felt like doing this, but that was about it. She turned on a heel as the door began to open. Someone was coming to play.

(OOC: Angry Matrim is Angry because that's all I can post. Figured you wouldn't mind since I'm helping you get to 500 =P)
Matrim was pissed off about a lot of things. His conversation with Emily, the news about Travis, and not having anyone he could trust. Leon he thought he could trust, he was wrong. Leon was a liar, and that pissed Matrim the hell off. He was a coward who hid behind a title he didn't earn as far as Matrim was concerned. Matrim's priorities shifted, he was no longer interested in becoming a dragon. As far as he was concerned there was no proof that the title meant anything. If he became one, so be it, but all he cared about was power. Actual power to stop things from happening.
So he needed to vent this frustration and rage, he needed to get it out and he found a classroom which had been empty. At least, he thought it had been, he paid no attention to Kate, he walked in, grabbed a desk, turned around and smashed it against a wall, yelling loudly as he did so.
Why don't I just let it all burn.... let it all burn to the ground and be done with it? Why not? Why don't I just do it? I could do it so easily with my Qi....
It was only then did he notice he wasn't alone in this room. He was breathing heavily as it were, and he turned to see Kate of all people, he sorta just nodded at her, not saying a word. He wasn't embarrassed yet, but he knew if he talked he would be. Mostly he was just really pissed off.

Talk about an interesting reaction. Matrim waltzed right in, and broke apart a desk with a loud yell. Someone hadn't gotten their nap. One eyebrow arched. She had been about to say hello rather warmly, as Matrim was a friend and all that jazz.
Angry Matrim was angry.
"Well hello there Matrim. Something on your mind?"
She plopped down on a desk close to him, and smiled. Well, it was more of a smirk than a smile because she wasn't in the best of moods either. She lifted a hand and tucked few strands behind her ear.
"Or did the desk do something to you last time you were in here?"
She chuckled slightly, and patted the one next to her. It was supposed to be an offer for him to sit on the desk next to her. They could bitch together or something.

"It was born," Matrim said giving an angry look at the desk. He was pissed off, but still managed to joke about it, "I'm pissed off, ya. I'm pissed off about a lot of things, guess with all this extra homework I've been needing a bit more sleep...."
It was a lie, but a clever one, one that was entirely believable. And he would sell it, after all everyone knew him as the brawn over brains type, he played dumb towards everybody, Kate included. The only people who knew how smart he really could be were Leon who wasn't here, and Reira. Still, he was pissed off, "Not to mention that if we don't get the grades of the school up we'll lose all extra curricular which will pretty much make my pillarship useless. No sports, no Varsity Captain. So yeah, I'm a little peeved."
In truth, once again, Matrim could give less a crap about sports. But he played this very well. Always had, always will. Even if he was a little angry, this was exactly how people thought he would react most likely, "How about you, what's with sitting in a classroom all by yourself?"

"It's been a long time since I've been in a relationship. I find myself confused about it, and attracted to other guys when he doesn't give me enough attention, which never happened in the past. He dissappeared for a week and I freaked, because he had just asked me out. No phone calls or nothing..."
Boy did she sound like a crazy lady. Well, Kate was crazy. She had hella lot of problems, thanks to previous issues. The girl laughed slightly. She believed what he said though, of course she did.
"I have abandonment issues. I told him that before we started dating, then he left. So, I say boys are confusing..."
She did frown at something. No after school sports meant no cheer leaders. That she was not kosher with. Her full lips twisted into a scowl.
"That's... not really cool. What do they need? More money? Or they just trying to up the scores in a nation wide educational cock comparison."

"I don't know, I don't care... about the Board suits, not about your problems," He said, finding a desk to sit on. He rubbed his temple with his right hand, "I have issues trusting people so I'm right there with ya, except I've found recently that I'm not very trustworthy. Luckily I put a stop to that, and I'm fixing my shit. Men are evil, just start from there and work your way up. I mean hell, low enough expectations, you won't ever be disappointed right?"
He laughed a little, but his headache didn't go away, it stayed. Still, he chuckled a bit at the statement, "He left you, if he has a reason he was probably doing the whole 'I was trying to protect you' bull crap. Otherwise it's something he thought you'd think less of him for. I don't know, maybe it's something else, maybe he's just not worth your time. Maybe no guy is? Ever considered going with the ladies? Good times man, good times."
He chuckled again, realizing she was probably actually genuinely upset, but he wasn't sure how to talk her through her problems. He thought about this for a bit and said, "Don't forget what he did, don't open up to him any more then you already have until he's proven himself once again. Don't let yourself just automatically forgive him or anything like that. But at the same time don't run off to any other guys right away, because that just pisses everyone off. Trust me."

She listened, and laughed. There was the twinkle in those emerald eyes, coming back to life. Matrim and her, they were friends. They flirted here and there, and fought more often then spoke, but they were friends. He was a guy she could keep at friends and be happy with it.
"Who says I give a shit about what people think about?"
Wasn't that the truth! Kate really didn't care what people thought of her, or if they cared about things. The pale girl sighed, and began to explain a little bit more.
"I really like my boyfriend, he's a sweet heart, but cocky and manly. Which I like. However, while he was gone another guy shows up. Everything about him is... a little weakness of mine or something. From the way he looks to the way he talks and acts. Pushes all the right buttons. Then Adrian shows back up, and the reason why he was gone wasn't even his fault. Hard to do much when a bunch of guys in a black plateless sedan pick you up, and return you without money or anything and such."
Boy was Adrian's father a prick.

"Adrian? So you mean to tell me the captain of the football team, and the captain of the cheerleading squad are...." He looked at her somewhat with a confused expression, but then laughed. He laughed, and laughed, and laughed. In fact he fell off the desk and hit the floor and rolled onto his back, laughing. His hand covered his mouth and his eyes were tearing up. It was just so ridiculous. So incredibly cliche, so incredibly... normal!
He finally stopped laughing, but his eyes were still shut, "I'm sorry it's just.... it's refreshing to hear something for once in my life is normal and makes sense."
He opened his eyes and would turn his head to her and say, "Interesting..... not sure what to tell ya. Just go with your heart, or that part of your brain that controls emotions or whatever. You know? Do what's best for you."

He was laughing, and laughing hard. The blonde had to admit, it was very interesting. Very, normal. The blonde sighed and smiled softly. Go where her heart led her? That wasn't something she trusted. Her heart got her in trouble.
"And yes, I've thought about going to girls. But where guys are stupid and confusing, girls are emotional and crazy. I'd choose confusing over that any day. So yeah."
If only he knew about the jokes about Kate and Linda german porn. That would have probably had him laughing some more. She sighed and relaxed, her shoulders slumping a bit.
"I'll figure it out. I'm loyal if nothing else. But... oh fuck, I don't even know anymore."
She jumped off the desk and sighed again. Boys were so fucking confusing, so very confusing.

Matrim, still just laying on the floor, still incredibly pissed off but at least calmed by that fit of laughter, listened to what she said about being loyal. It was good that she was loyal, he hadn't been. That was his folly, and he had done it a lot worse then Kate, because Matrim was engaged when he cheated on Reira. They were separated for a moment there, but were now back together. He just didn't know where he stood, "Why does a part of me just want to say 'Do what you want, when you want'?"
A very light laugh, one with his mouth still shut came out, but he continued on, "It's common to like other people when you first start dating someone, don't worry about it. In fact if you think about it, worst case scenario you break up, having dated him for not very long. You'd be surprised how easy it is to bounce back to friendship when you were only together for a short time. But whatever you do, you should probably make up your mind soon. Or keep this other guy on the back burner, string him along just in case things with Adrian flop... you know, if you don't feel bad doing something like that."
It was advice he didn't like giving, but Kate was his friend so he'd give the honest option. The one that she might actually like taking. Sure it might be kinda messed up towards this new guy, but what the hell did Matrim care for? He didn't know this guy, he just knew Adrian and Kate. He liked Adrian, and he liked Kate, them together made for a strange couple. But one that he'd probably enjoy seeing around sometime. Hell, it was almost just worth it for the cliche to keep them dating.
"By the way, you better get your cheer leading squad up to standards on this homework thing. I know they may bitch and complain, but I'm instituting academic probation for students who aren't up to snuff. Nobody with poor test scores suits up for game day. Benched in civilian clothing," He said, looking up a the ceiling tile. He felt like a jerk for doing something like this, but he needed to, "If anyone needs tutoring I'm setting up something for all the sports players, the cheerleaders are welcome to join since I consider them athletes just as much as I do the players."

Ugh, that was right. All the fucking homework. Such a stupid thing to do. Over all, it just sucked. It was stupid, and Kate really hated whoever the hell had done it. The blonde frowned, no wait, scowled. To be honest, she had been skipping a lot of classes of late. Her grades weren't really the best sorts of model, least of all someone who was the Cheer leading Captain.
"I'll let the girls and one guy know. We'll start cracking down on the homework and grades and shit, and I can hire out some tutors or beat the shit into a couple of people if they don't get their grades up."
Was she saying a word about her grades? Of course not. She would never give herself up like that. Instead she would be as silent as the grave and work on getting them up so no one would have to know. The blonde wasn't failing any classes per say, but she was average to on her way to failing. Time to change all of that. Stupid school board.
"Of course, I'll make sure it happens. One way or another."

"Good to know," Matrim said, "Just remember, it isn't my job to investigate missing students, but it is my job to investigate bad grades amongst the sports kids if you catch my drift," Matrim said and let out a bit of a lugh at the joke. After all, he was just being honest. It wasn't like he'd get on Kate's case for smacking around her team. How she ran her team was her business. It wasn't fighting, it was discipline. Matrim leaned towards the non-violent approach himself but... whatever gets the job done.
"In any case, I should be getting a list within a day or so from Mr. Purple himself with a list of all those students that are failing," Matrim said turning over to Kate, "And the worse the grades the more time I will they will be studying. Something that I will personally be seeing to myself. In fact I plan to drag everyone to the library at some point, just to make some use of it since I'm sure nobody here does."
Matrim had never thought about it, but the Library would probably be a place to get good sleep, "Damnit I never checked the library!" He called out, and looked over sheepishly, "I uhh.... I like taking naps... around the school.... and not so much since this whole ordeal...."
Damn I should have probably at least tried to sleep there one time before this whole thing happened. Then again it isn't like I could have foreseen all of this.....

The grades, oh the grades. She thought about her small group of cheerleaders, and somehow wasn't too worried about them. Rather, Kate knew she had to bring her own grades up before she started on them. Leading by example and all that jazz. She'd have to start changing that.
"Sleeping in the library? Figures."
Truth be told there was a nerd lying in wait under that pale skin. Back in the day when Kate had been a freshman, before the cheer leading team and all that jazz, the blonde had been a nerd. She had played video games (though she still did), read books, drew, and well, yeah. She had been rather artistic and all that jazz. Time, and events had changed her greatly. Now she was going to have to "revert" back to the way she had been. At least in one aspect of her life.
"Just think of all the places you haven't snoozed in, and should have. A long list of places to sleep, eh?"

"You're right," Matrim said thinking about it. There were plenty of classrooms, plenty of janitor's closets, plenty of offices, desks, hell even the botanical garden had to have a comfy spot to lay down and relax for awhile. Might as well get out there and live the day. And no better way to do that then to go take a spontaneous nap, "You know, that doesn't sound like a bad idea right about now. I bet most of my anger is just a lack of sleep talking to me. Perhaps a nap might do the trick and set me straight...."
Matrim grinned, "You should think about doing the same. Once you're done with classes that is, wouldn't want you skipping now would I? Couldn't have the cheerleading squad captain getting herself on academic probation for skipping. In any case, good luck with the boy situation, and if I were you I'd break up with your boyfriend before you do anything with anyone else. Seriously, even if you have to call him just before something happens or text him saying something as simple as 'it's over' it'll keep you from feeling guilty about it. And it preserves the whole loyalty thing you got going."
Matrim started to walk out of the room with a more calm reserve, he was determined to take a nap in the headmasters office. Hopefully Mr. Purple wasn't there at the moment, because Matrim felt he could definitely get a few Z's in underneath that desk.
"Oh, last second advice. If you're looking for a nice place to nap, check the weather and if it doesn't look like it'll rain, rooftops are more comfortable than you'd think." And with that Matrim headed out of the room. The conversation was pretty much over and he had discussed all he needed to.
