Bump In the Night (Open)

[Gabriel Seran]

Reven laughed in the darkness appearing almost omnipresent as he moved about the many cells in the dark using the current as his lifeline. However powerful he was in this form it was not as powerful as he needed to be, once he was self resilient he'd be a true monster. Every few steps he'd drop something or clang the bars of a cell behind or in front of Ryuu for dramatic purposes.

"Me... well Ryuu I think you should know that well enough" The smile appeared in the dark before disappearing completely, the dark voice now reappearing behind Ryuu only a few meters behind now, "Plans you see are flawed, so lets just play this little game by ear..."

With a swift swoop Reven used an electrically charged pipe to sweep beneath Ryuu's feet in the dark, it would give off a small swoop noise and a spark against the ground as it made contact but whether or not it made contact with Ryuu was still undetermined.

[Ryuu]

The chilling laugh that echoed throughout the prison made Ryuu not shiver in fright like a puppy cowering in the corner from its master, but instead made him frown, just what was going on here!? Every so often, Ryuu heard the sound of objects being dropped or the sound of bars being clanged against from both behind and in front of him, increasing the tension hanging in the air. "Me... well Ryuu I think you should know that well enough." Ryuu saw the smile appear before disappearing completely into the darkness once more. "Plans you see are flawed, so let's just play this little game by ear..." Ryuu whipped around, the voice had come from a few meters behind him, as Ryuu's gaze slowly rotated around, trying to see where Gab... no, not Gabriel, this was not Gabriel. Whoever this was, was someone else. Ryuu then heard a swooping noise as he saw sparks come out of nowhere as a pipe tried to sweep Ryuu's feet out from under him.

Ryuu reacted immediately, and moved back, though the pipe did make contact with his right leg, sending a jolt of electricity through his leg, making Ryuu wince and growl in pain as he landed. Gripping his leg as he landed on his left knee, Ryuu tried to stand up, trying not to put too much pressure on his leg. Damn it... my leg... Ryuu then began to regain feeling in his right leg, though the electricity had temporarily shut the nerves in his leg down. Not a good thing. In the scuffle, Ryuu had dropped his flashlight, it had broken apart, useless now. But Ryuu was not completely in the dark. He still had his Qi to use. But Ryuu didn't want to use it, not unless it was necessary. In this case though, he felt it was necessary. Activating his Qi, he engulfed his hands in flames, lighting up the small area around him, though everything else around him was in complete pitch black darkness. Ryuu's red eyes roved back and forth, trying to see where the assailant was, and so he could react quickly to any attacks sent his way.

[Gabriel Seran]

The metal pipe connected into a vital area Reven had been aiming for. He felt the reverberation of the pole slide up his arm, good now onto the next ploy. Gabriel thought the madness was locked away, if only but for a time, though in his primal subconscious he wanted this. This pain unto others, it felt good, his anguish finally solidified and released.

Reven backed away in one slow cold movement watching how Ryuu would deal with the fragmented pain. Back from the shadows the flame sparked. Ryuu was now an easy target in the dark. A lightning bug easy pray for an observant hawk. Reven paced about the room in a circle he knew that he had limited vision but at least it was some vision rather than none, he'd strike fast to get anywhere.

"Ryuu....Ryuuu...." The dark voice chanted gently, "It seems you've been hiding something from Gabriel, this power of yours, potential..."

With a swift move Gabriel hurled the pipe through the air and it made the same noise as before, echoing in the dark. In the same instant Reven swiftly shot across around to Ryuu's back side aiming two savage punches in his back and a knee in his gut. Once his attack ended Reven would retreat back to the dark corners.

[Ryuu]

The minute the piped struck Ryuu's leg, he saw Gabriel back away in a slow cold movement, once Ryuu managed to get up, he activated his Qi, as the flames lit up his face, he knew he was now an easy target in the dark, his flames acting as a beacon, but Ryuu had little choice, this was his best bet in being able to react to any attacks. "Ryuu....Ryuuu...." The dark voice began to chant gently, as Ryuu looked around, his guard up, "It seems you've been hiding something from Gabriel, this power of yours, potential..." "I could say the same for you," Ryuu replied, his voice calm, "Electricity? What are you trying to be, a human light bulb to my human lighter?" Ryuu then heard the sound of the pipe clanging, though the sound echoed throughout the darkness. Ryuu then saw from the corner of his eye Gabriel swiftly shot out from the darkness, aiming two savage punches at Ryuu's backside.

Reacting instantly, Ryuu whirled around, first dodging one punch, and then caught the other in his left hand, gripping onto Gabriel's fist, burning it. Then suddenly, Gabriel's knee came out of nowhere, Ryuu snapped his right hand out and caught it, burning through the material of his pants to his knee, though it did come with a price, his hand was sent into his gut, knocking the wind out of Ryuu, and burning a hole in his jacket, as he released Gabriel's fist from the sudden sharp pain. As soon as his attack ended, Ryuu saw Gabriel slink back into the shadows once more. "Damn... it..." Ryuu muttered, the pain had been intense, despite Ryuu being able to react to it. Gabriel was strong, stronger than the last time they had fought. "What.. the hell... are you trying to prove?" Ryuu said in between breaths. "We both... have powers that neither one knew of... so what's... the point of this?"

[Gabriel Seran]

Gabriel backed away, the layers of his clothes smoking from the heated contact. The flames left scars upon previous scars, something about this place was too reminiscent of his time in the British underground. Those years of torture and abuse left him scared and created who Reven was. The sick demention of Gabriel's mind.

*Flashback*

"AHHH NOOO!!" The wailing voice of a young boy chained to a wall shot out.

He was young, about the age of fifteen or sixteen, the flank of his back exposed to the air. Sweat pooled at his back as the dry air massaged his features. A thick lash of gore extended a ridge out of his back as a whip came down with a crack. The bellowing howl once again. Gabriel's body was pressed along the wall bound by copper chains that left their marks as well.

"That's what happens when you don't fight to your potential young Seran, thats the reason your parents died." An elder monk cackled in the back, his hand patting the back of the younger priest wielding a whip with serrated edges meant to dig deep into the flesh and tear loose skin from bone.

Gabriel's eyes bled over, changing or the very first moment, a thick gold almost beautiful in a sick way.

CRACK, The whip sounded against his back, this time around there was no wail of pain. He laughed now. Gabriel's chains broke with a swift jerk and Reven was let loose on the world.

*End Flashback*

"Trying to prove?" He laughed again still moving constantly, "I am the only one here that will come out above the rest..."

Reven ran this time bluntly forward, swift and unaltered though in the last moment he slid to the floor in an exaggerated move. A hand reached out for the pipe and shifted it up like a javelin aimed to stab at the chest. While in the same move Reven's leg would shoot out to trip Ryuu.

[Ryuu]

Ryuu watched, breathing heavily as sweat ran down his face, as Gabriel back away, his clothes smoking from making contact with the flames engulfing Ryuu's hands. "Trying to prove?" Ryuu heard him laugh again, his voice sounding like it was coming from every direction, as Ryuu's head moved back and forth, moving constantly, "I am the only one here that will come out above the rest..." He then heard rapid footsteps behind him and whirled around as he saw Gabriel had ran forward, his direction of movement swift and unaltered, as he slid to the floor at the last minute. Ryuu unfortunately, could not react in time, not because he didn't see it coming, but because he did not expect Gabriel to slid. Gabriel's leg shot out, connecting with Ryuu's leg and tripping him, his arms shot out, as he attempted to catch his balance, to no avail.

Pitching forward from the trip, Ryuu let out a short gasp, as he slowly looked down, and saw something sticking out of him. He had ended impaled on the pipe that Gabriel had held up like a javelin, giving him a shallow stab wound to his chest, just missing his heart. But Gabriel had stopped charging the pipe with electricity, it was now just an ordinary blunt pipe in every sense. "..." Ryuu tried to speak, but no words came out, as he fell to his knees, blood flowing from the wound down his torso. He then looked at Gabriel, shock on his face, before he fell backwards with a dull thump onto the ground, blood now flowing freely from his wound. His eyes clouded over, he fell unconscious, as he stared to the side. The flames around his hands disappeared, throwing everything into pitch black darkness once more, which is all what Ryuu would being seeing for a good while...

[Gabriel Seran]

The pipe connected with malicious damage, barely missing the heart, something inside Gabriel forced Reven to stop it. At least he was strong enough to do that, save the poor boy a gruesome death in an abandoned prison. Ryuu didn't deserve that death. The blood trickled down the pipe freely, a bit tipping Gabriel's face the rest finding itself crusting over his palms. Ryuu's body would pitch over suddenly to the floor at a fallen angle. Reven stood to attentive height smelling the air as if something had poisoned the meal.

Reven gave the unconscious boy a stiff kick to the ribs, "No sense in letting you die, just yet." The evil smile faded becoming one of pain.

It ruptured through him much like a seizure, convulsions ran up his body at terrible speeds aching for a sudden release. Finally they came out in large gasps of air, in screams.

"Not again....Stop this...Why won't you die!" Reven moaned in deep pain, "Get out of my head!" Gabriel finished feeling consciousness finally.

His hands peeled away from his face and crawled himself towards Ryuu's body they were covered in the boy's blood. Gabriel's body shook with slight tremors of inner pain. He cried, in pain, what he was doing couldn't be forgiven, his sins were far to great and if he didn't get help soon, they'd be the end of him.

A few minutes later Gabriel carried Ryuu out to the docks so that Ryuu could be transported to the mainland for operations, Gabriel however made way to disappear. At least for a time.
