Bump In the Night (Open)

[Ryuu]

Silence. That's all Ryuu could hear, apart from his own footsteps, which echoed softly against the concrete floor of the famous prison, Alcatraz, located on Alcatraz Island. After taking a ferry ride from Pier 33, near Fisherman's Wharf, as part of a tourist group, 5 minutes into the tour, Ryuu had gotten bored, and as the group walked through the prison, Ryuu had gradually slowed his pace down, letting people in the group pass him by, until he was in the very back, he hung back, walking as slow as he possibly could without having the tour guide see what he was trying to do, once the group had disappeared around a corner, Ryuu immediately ducked into one of the open cells on the ground floor, and waited a few seconds. As soon as he heard no footsteps come towards him to look for him, he poked his head out of the cell, and peered around, first to the left, and then to the right. Seeing no one around, Ryuu was going to take a tour of this prison on his own.

He shoved his hands into the pockets of his black overcoat, along with his black shirt, black track pants, and worn down Converse shoes. Last time he had checked the time, it was around 5:30pm, and if he recalled correctly, the sign at the entrance to the prison said the opening hours of the prison was from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Now wouldn't it be a shame if Ryuu accidentally missed the last boat back to Pier 33? Pfft, yeah right. Ryuu kinda hoped he would miss the last boat, he had read that Alcatraz was haunted, and wanted to see if it really was haunted or not. Ryuu wasn't afraid of very much, hell, he had seen his own mother get killed right before his very eyes. And besides, he had a small flashlight in his jeans pocket, it may be small, but man, it was bright. He walked through the prison, passing the rows of cells, as through the window set high above him, the sun slowly began to set. It would be dark soon, and once it was, the real fun would begin.

Ryuu, as he casually made his way through, his hands now in his jeans pockets, looked like he was taking a casual stroll through Golden Gate Park, instead of the haunted prison, Alcatraz. As he took a few more footsteps, he heard the sound of metal clanging from somewhere far behind him, and stopped and turned around, his right foot in mid-step. As he blinked, slowly, a smirk began to form on his face. It was 6:00pm. Alcatraz was officially closed for the day. The sun had almost completely set, as Ryuu peered out through one of the windows on the second floor. Darkness was settling all across the city of San Francisco, Alcatraz Island included. As he stood at the window, leaning against it, he heard the sound of footsteps echo nearby, and slowly turned his head in the direction of the footsteps.

Alicia was taking a tour of Alcatraz. She had always wanted to check this place out. Still, being with a group of people didn't help the fact that the place was really scary looking. Though she liked being scared, it gave her an adrenaline a simple scary movie wouldn't cover. This tour seemed to be taking away from the horrors of the old prison.

The tour was almost over when she had seen a boy slow his pace. Was he going to ditch the tour? Alicia had to think to herself if she wanted to join him. It would be weird though, because she didn't know who this guy was, but something tugged at her, like and invisible force. Maybe she was supposed to follow him? Who knows right? After all, time can only tell.

She slipped into a hallway while the tour guide looked away. She waited until the group had left and she hurried down the labrynth of halls to look for the boy who may have the same interest of being scared.

Alicia grabbed her cell phone from her purse, because the phone wouldn't fit in the form fitting, light wash jeans she had on. The sime said 5:59 pm. It will seem she was spenidng the night. She then heard the clank of metal and the minute had struck and turned into 6:00 pm. Hopefully she could find that stranger. She would not entirely like being alone in a place like this, especially when there was talk about it being haunted.

She stuck the phone back home into her purse. She put the strap on her right shoulder that had been covered by a navy blue form fitting, zip-up, hoodie. She found a figure of the boy in a room and slowly walked him, but making her footsteps a lot more prominant, because she wouldn't want to accidently scare him.

Her steps managed to reach his ears and he slowly turned her direction.

"Hey...Left behind too?" she said with a nervous smile and shrug while her hands were burried in her pocket.

[Ryuu]

"Hey... Left behind too?" Ryuu turned his head in the direction of the voice, and saw a girl walk towards him, a nervous smile on her face as she shrugged, her hands buried in the pockets of the form fitting, light wash jeans she wore with a navy blue form fitting, zip-up hoodie. "More like I got bored and left the tour," Ryuu replied, shrugging his shoulders, "You can only take hearing this place is haunted so many times, before you get bored and wander off by yourself." Behind Ryuu, the sun was slowly setting, soon it would be dark, and then Ryuu would really see if what the tour guide had said was true, that Alcatraz was really haunted. "How about you?" Ryuu asked, as he stepped away from the window, and moved closer to the girl, his hands shoved into his jeans pockets, "Did you stick around after closing time on purpose, or did you get left behind?" Now while Ryuu wasn't expecting company in his little investigation, nonetheless, he was grateful for it. You never know what things would go bumping around in the night, especially in a prison.

"... right. I'm Ryuu, and you are?" Ryuu asked, as he pulled out his left hand and held it out to the girl in a friendly gesture, he didn't care if she shook his hand or not. Behind Ryuu, through the window, the sun had slipped lower and lower, until only a small sliver of it it could be seen. "It's almost dark," Ryuu observed, looking out the window, "I was hoping to see if what they say is true, that Alcatraz is really haunted. I guess you got caught unwittingly in my investigation. So Watson," Ryuu added in jokingly, "Are you prepared to investigate? One should never be caught unprepared." With that said, Ryuu pulled out the small flashlight from his pocket, just as the sun completely set, throwing the entire prison into darkness. Ryuu twisted the flashlight on, shedding some light through the darkness.

"I hope you're not afraid of the dark... Or potential ghosts."

(OOC; I'm going to give first person a try.)

He turned around to look at me. He then giving me his cause for staying behind.

"More like I got bored and left the tour, you can only take hearing this place is haunted so many times, before you get bored and wander off by yourself." I knew he wasn't staying because he had missed the boat, after all we all knew when our exit was to be and so it was also obvious he and I purposely missed that boat to feel the thrill of ghosts. "How about you?" I simpley shrugged as he carried on "Did you stick around after closing time on purpose, or did you get left behind?" The sun seeme dto be disappearing and soon we would be enveloped in the darkness this building had to offer.

"I'm here 'cause I like the feeling of getting scared... that and I saw you 'sneakily' walk off from the tour." I used the quotation hand signal when I said he was sneaky. I was just pointing out how he managed to be spotted by me, then followed.

"... right. I'm Ryuu, and you are?"

"My name is Alicia... Nice to meet cha."

"It's almost dark," He turned to look out the window, though the lack of light within the building would have been evidence enough to tell her it was getting dark. "I was hoping to see if what they say is true, that Alcatraz is really haunted. I guess you got caught unwittingly in my investigation. So Watson," he said jokingly. I was about to comment on it but he continued to speek. "Are you prepared to investigate? One should never be caught unprepared."

"I'm not going to be some pussy side kick." it was a sad attempt at a joke, but hey, I didn't say I was a comedian now did i?

"I hope you're not afraid of the dark... Or potential ghosts."

"Oh I am afraid, but if I wasn't. Why they hell would I be here?" I questioned while moving closer to him. After all he was the source of light and I didn't want to be in the dark when something creepy happens. "Why, are you?"

[Ryuu]

Ryuu saw her simply shrug when he asked her what her reason was for sticking around after hours. "I'm here 'cause I like the feeling of getting scared... that and I saw you 'sneakily' walk off from the tour." He saw her use the quotation hand signal when she said he was sneaky, she was obviously pointing out how he managed to get spotted by her, then followed after. But truth be told, Ryuu hadn't been trying to be sneaky, when he had ditched the tour, anyone could've easily notice him hanging back on purpose, he hadn't been trying to hide that fact. He then gave his name, as he looked out the window behind him. "My name is Alicia... Nice to meet cha." "Likewise," He replied, as he commented on how it was getting dark, and then turned to Alicia, asking her if she was ready to investigate, as he turned on his flashlight, cutting through the darkness, their only source of light in this entire place.

"I'm not going to be some pussy side kick." "Fine then Sherlock, you can help Sherlock," Ryuu replied, yawning widely, "We'll both be the main investigators, instead of one being the sidekick." Ryuu then began waving his flashlight around in circles, pointing it in random directions. "Oh I am afraid, but if I wasn't, why the hell would I be here?" Ryuu stopped waving the flashlight around and pointed it at Alicia's lower body, as he saw her move closer to him, since he had the only source of light around. "Why, are you?" Ryuu chuckled softly at this, as he began to walk towards the stairs leading down to the ground floor. "Nah, of course not. If I was afraid, would I be here? I don't think so," Ryuu replied, as he began to descend down the stairs, "If I was afraid, I'd be hauling ass out of here as soon as the tour ended... duhhh." Ryuu then walked around, the flashlight playing shadows everywhere, as he ducked into one of the cells, turning the light off, once Alicia got close, he would spring out from the cell, his hood on. "Boo!" He exclaimed, as he heard the sound of creaking metal somewhere behind him. "... Is it always drafty in here?" He contemplated, he didn't know if it really was the wind, or something else...

"Better stay close, because I can't guarantee something creepy won't happen, and your knight in shining armor will come rescue you." The only knight around here, was Ryuu, and even he didn't know what could possibly happen in this prison.

[Gabriel Seran]

Alcatraz Island, it was a horrid place. Walking narrowly through the padded walls Gabriel could almost hear their murmured screams. He could feel that pain, he was a prizoner for a time it was long ago and he was young. Vulnerable that was a thing he could never be again he'd seen what it did to them. He made himself weak to Bastille and he was forced into sense. It was simply lucky he'd faced her rather than someone who would kill to see that chink in the armor. Much like these very walls Gabriel aimed to do the same, keep everything locked within while he protected everything from what was outside. Yet in the same instance isolation was dangerous.

So why come here? To a prizon island, what purpose was there?

Something had drawn him in like a sixth sense of sorts a calling. Not one of those family days where one decides, hmm hey kids lets go check out Alcatraz, Yea!
Gabriel paced down the halls trying to identify with the places here, he searched over the lot looking for something that would bring this strange feeling to rest. On some level he felt like a murder scene investigator searching for the clue to a bloody death. He scaled the grounds finding himself behind the bars of a single cell.

*clink*

Gabriel shot up defensively hearing something clatter to the ground, was someone else here?

[Ryuu]

Ryuu stopped walking the minute he no longer heard footsteps behind him, and nearly palmed his face. Alicia had disappeared to God knows where, and he was alone now. Fantastic. Sighing, he began to make his way towards the entrance, only to remember the door was barred, as he shook it angrily, accidentally dropping his flashlight, as it made a loud clatter when it hit the ground and rolled, stopping when it hit his foot. "Damn it... What a drag..." Ryuu muttered to himself, as he stooped down to pick up his flashlight, only to hear the sound of movement behind a set of bars of a single cell somewhere to his left. Snapping his flashlight into his hand, Ryuu directed the beam of light in the direction of the sound, as his eyes flashed in surprise the minute the light illuminated the face of the person.

"Gabriel? What are you doing here?"

Ryuu lowered the flashlight so it was no longer blinding Gabriel, as his eyes returned to normal. Where one person had disappeared, another had appeared in its place. In this case, the person was one of Ryuu's fellow comrade in arms. Ryuu's eyes slowly swept across his surroundings, he didn't know why Gabriel was here, but all he knew was, not everything was as it seemed. Alcatraz... the haunted prison, the name alone was enough to make some people shiver in fright. In Ryuu's case, it just quipped his interest. "Nothing is what it seems..." He muttered quietly, keeping his flashlight roving around, illuminating the area they were in as much as he could. Let's just hope the battery lasts until opening time...

[Gabriel Seran]

Gabriel's eyes lit up like a cat's when the light passed over swiftly, the emerald hues turned gold. The primal urge to hunt and kill filled him as he inched toward the light with eager need of violence then came the voice.

"Gabriel? What are you doing here?"

He snapped out of the haze his eyes focusing going to their normal hue swiftly. Finally adjusting to the small lighting Gabriel noticed Ryuu there before him. The question however didn't strike him all too suddenly sluggish and out of touch Gabriel paced till he was close enough to reach out and touch him before saying a word.

"i could ask you the same thing... Locked?" He mentioned to the door.

Gabriel had snuck in through a hidden tunnel, one that had been used in an emergency if the guards were to be overrun. Though the faded rooms all looked alike he was unsure as to where its location was now. The haunting rooms felt as if they were barring in on them.

[Ryuu]

The minute the beam of light landed on the eyes of the person behind the bars of the cell, Ryuu took a small step back in mild surprise, for the person's eyes lit up like a cat's, the eyes a golden color. The person inched towards Ryuu eagerly, as Ryuu finally recognized who it was, it was Gabriel. He saw Gabriel snap out of his haze, as his eyes returned back to emerald. It seemed Gabriel was slightly out of it, for Ryuu saw him pace forward until he was close enough to reach out and touch him before he responded. "I could ask you the same thing... Locked?" Ryuu saw him motion to the door, as Ryuu nodded his head. "You could say that, or you could say I stayed back on purpose to see if Alcatraz is really as haunted as they say." Ryuu then trained the light in between the two of them, so that the two of them were illuminated slightly.

"The hidden tunnels. That's how you got in," Ryuu said, since the door was locked, and no signs of forced entry was evident, "The question is, where is the hidden tunnel located, and will we be able to get out before opening time?" Ryuu then began to walk forward, moving the flashlight over to his right, illuminating the cells, trying to find the tunnel. The faded rooms all looked alike, and Ryuu felt like the shadows were pressing in all around them, trying to prevent them from escaping, trying to turn them into one of the souls forever damned and bound to this place. It was enough to send shivers down your spine. "I think it's wise for us to get out of here, and fast. Do you remember where the tunnel is located?"

[Gabriel Seran]

Gabriel didn't recognize it or where they were. his little scene in the cell left him disoriented and slightly laggish though the opportunity at some fun arose, finding the way out. An adventure of sorts, he thought childishly either that or they could wait till day break and let the authorities deal with their them. Gabriel of course wasn't all too fond of getting to spend a night in prison, especially after having to deal with a night in Alcatraz but the night before.

"Non, I don't recall where it is, and unfortunately for us, there is only one flashlight so splitting up is out of the question..." Gabriel theorized openly.

"Here I have an idea..." Gabriel said excitedly at the thought rushing back into the cell to remove a small bulb.

"Ok, check this out," Gabriel reached into his pocket to grab the battery he'd kept on his person since discovering his Qi.
with a shaky start the bulb came to life fairly bright.

"Ahh problem one solved."

[Ryuu]

"Non, I don't recall where it is, and unfortunately for us, there is only one flashlight so splitting up is out of the question..." Ryuu nodded in agreement with Gabriel, he could use his Qi and give Gabriel the flashlight, but Ryuu's Qi could only last for so long before he ended up passing out from his body temperature going too low. "Here I have an idea..." Ryuu looked over as he heard the excitement in Gabriel's voice, raising an eyebrow when he saw Gabriel dash back into the cell, before coming back out with a light bulb in his hand. "What are you...?" Ryuu began to ask. "Okay, check this out." Ryuu watched, slightly intrigued as he saw Gabriel reach into his pocket, and pulled out a battery. With a shaky start the bulb came to life fairly bright, illuminating the area around them a bit more. "Ahh problem one solved." "Brilliant..." Ryuu replied in a low voice, "Absolutely brilliant. I think it's time we split up. You take the left side cells, I'll take the right side cells. If you find anything, give me a shout, or even better, if you have your cell, call my number, likewise for me."

Ryuu would then salute at Gabriel, "God speed my friend." And with that, he would disappear from sight, swallowed up by the darkness. He pointed the flashlight into the cell, roving it everywhere, trying to spot the tunnel. He had gone through about 10 cells or more, before he finally reached the one they were searching for. Moving the flashlight over the cell, he was about to move on, when he spotted something in the corner, and pointing the flashlight there, he saw the entrance. "Gabriel!" Ryuu shouted, but to make sure Gabriel got the message, Ryuu pulled out his iPhone, and dialed Gabriel's number. Once he got through, Ryuu would relay the message, and give Gabriel his location. Ending the call, Ryuu placed his iPhone back in his pocket, and waited for Gabriel to come, hopefully they'd get out before the power of the battery in his flashlight died.

[Gabriel Seran]

Gabriel heard his name being summoned from down the hall, though something was concerned. An itch he could not scratch why was it that the two had come to be here. Coincidence, or Fate. He was to put something to the test. He was going to put Ryuu to the test.

*Crash*

The bulb crashed against the floor with a burst of electrical wattage. Now the area was dark, the noise was loud enough to be heard anywhere in the complex. Gabriel hurried his way to the power box. Something inside him must have been mad now he was so obsessed with fate in a way that mad him concerned God was never a problem after his torture but now it was a constant irritant. Once he'd gotten their his metal appendage grabbed the wiring sending controlled volts into the lighting system and flashed it incessantly. That would certainly startle the boy. An apt test.

[Ryuu]

The moment Ryuu heard the sound of something crashing against the ground, like glass breaking, he whipped around, his hands ready to clap and activate his Qi. What that was however, was the least of his worries. The lights around him began to flicker incessantly, as Ryuu looked around in mild surprise. What was going on? And where the hell was Gabriel? This flickering could only be caused at the power box, which meant something was happening there. What it was, Ryuu didn't know, but he was going to find out. Swiftly making his way through the prison complex, the beam of light out in front of him, Ryuu criss-crossed through the hallways, until he reached his destination, the power box. What he saw, was completely beyond what he was expecting.

Standing at the power box, his arm gripping onto the wiring, was Gabriel. "What the...? Gabriel!?" Ryuu shouted out, as he ran forward, staring at him in disbelief. "How the heck are you not being... A metal limb?" Ryuu began, but then expressed in shock as he saw the metal appendage upon closer inspection. "What the hell are you doing!?" He shouted once he got over his initial disbelief. "I can see you have a metal hand, but what is the point of flicking the lights like this, besides giving the prison a huge electric bill? Your electric bill must be huge..." Ryuu clapped his hands together, just in case. He didn't know why, but something about Gabriel right now, just didn't feel right currently. Gabriel... What the hell are you trying to prove? That you can become a human light bulb?

[Gabriel Seran]

Gabriel turned with an inhuman look in his eyes. The emerald disappearing only to be replaced with a golden tint and a very black pupil devoid of life. It was for his own good wasn't it? Gabriel would see this through to the end however much it pained him to see it. Pain was one of life's greatest advocates, even if the youth didn't understand it he'd thank him soon enough.

"Ryuu....I can't control him anymore... It's time to come out and play." The voice changed mid sentence just as the lights were overpowered with a grand flash of energy and shorted out causing everything to go pitch black.

His weight moved balanced through the cells of the prison without a sound seeing purely through the current of energy he felt in the room Gabriel could see everything in a new sense, a new light you might say. He could feel Ryuu's current too just in front of him now. What was he going to do? For starters he'd play a game.

"tsk tsk, so much potential and yet so confined to your limits... such a waste, we'll see what work we can do with you." The voice was not Gabriel's but a being within him, darker and more sadistic.

[Ryuu]

"Ryuu....I can't control him anymore... It's time to come out and play." Ryuu frowned as he heard Gabriel's voice change in mid-sentence, the inhuman look in his eye was unnerving enough as it already was, but the fact his eyes changed from emerald to gold, and his black pupil was completely devoid of life, well that sealed it. The lights above him shorted out with a flash, throwing everything into pitch black darkness, his flashlight the only source of light now. Damn it... What's going on? Ryuu's brow furrowed as he waved the beam of light back and forth, trying to see where Gabriel was. "Tsk tsk, so much potential and yet so confined to your limits... such a waste, we'll see what work we can do with you." "... Who are you?" Ryuu asked, as he slowly began to back up, trying to put as much space as he could between him and Gabriel.

His voice, it was sadistic, darker. It was not Gabriel, even when the two of them fought against each other, his voice had not sounded like this. It was like a whole different personality had emerged. Pointing the flashlight behind him, Ryuu continued to back up, making sure he didn't trip over anything. Whoever this persona was, was clearly playing a game with Ryuu. "... And what the hell do you plan on doing?" He asked, ready to engulf his hands at any given moment, his gray eyes calm and cool, well, as calm as you could possibly be with such a sadistic sounding person stuck in Alcatraz with you.
