Break sat at the bench press, towling some sweat off his face. His muscles where sore and a little more bulged than usual, made him felt manly and strong. He laid into his last set. 250 lbs seemed like a lot to rep, but when your max is closer to 400 its more of a warm down. He laughed to himself, show me another sophmore that strong and I'll kick his ass.
He began again, his breathing even but a little labored. The clink of the weights filled his ears between the throbbing that pulsed in his temples. Man he felt alive!
He hadn't been hyper aware of anyone else in the gym but something suddenly drew his attention to another member, simply working... but with such dedication... who was this?

Aedon ran to the gym early on, about 5 in the morning. Yes he was an early riser and paid close work to details especially in his training workouts. He needed to attune himself to become better in all aspects. School was in fact one of them he paid more so attention to others this gym time was simply his break. He sat aside at the benches and placed his max there about 340 lbs on the bar already. He pressed it with vigor. And it burned everything hurt by the end of the first set. Still he slapped on another plate worth of weight. 385 lbs. He was tired sweat dripping from his brow and his face revealing the pain. Teeth clenched and his biceps squirmed.
Aedon let out a small groan getting the bar up, once. He felt the tendons stretch behind his skin. Twice, he felt the muscles expand. Three times, he began to feel them tear. A loud cry, four times, The bar was up again with a slight shift in the air. Five times, it came down with a clank on the metal holder.
Exhausted but not yet dead Aedon stood and wiped away the layer of sweat at his head. The white tank top had its own sweat marks on it as well. Guess it was time to change soon. Good thing his sweats were in good condition. Aedon walked lazily to the wall and placed a hand there to rest taking in a deep breath.

Victor watched with waning interest. The kid was maxing, and that was cute, he wasn't weak, per se, but wasn't the strongest either. still he looked almost half dead after that intense first go. The kid dripped with sweat, leaning against a wall. Victor walked over slowly. "hey man, nice set" he said with a smile, wiping his hands on his towel, he took a spare towel from his gym shorts he was wearing and held it up to him. "wanna wipe all that off?" he asked, goodwill shone in his blue eyes, victor liked the dedication that exuded from this kids attitude.

Aedon looked up and caught his breath with a calm sigh.
"Thanks..." He was a man of few word and liked to keep to himself.
He used the towel quickly an used it to wipe away his brow and to shake off the small droplets forming on his arms. It felt refreshing like a weight had been lifted from his chest. There was no longer any sting of weakness holding him back. There was one however, something in the back of his head telling him to work harder, train at a new max that he could do better. And he agreed.
"Sorry, um I'm gonna get back to work." Aedon walked off awkwardly unsure of how to relate in that situation. He strode over back to the weight room hitting near the dumbbells picking a likely weight off the floor without much trouble.

The kid wiped himself and walked off, awkwardly almost, hitting back up on some dumbbells. Victor got the vibe he was a little anti-social, but he wasn't giving off a vibe that he was annoyed or completely wanted to be left alone. victor walked over casually to the dumbbells and picked up his own set. "I haven't seen anyone work that hard since..." he stopped short thinking of himself back when he was that kids size. Victor laughed a little. "you know, that'll make you bigger but you won't get much stronger unless you start lowering your weight and doing more reps... it builds endurance, makes your muscles more useful, and less showy" he explained, trying to be helpful. The kid wasn't showing difficulty, but the weight could be substantially more suited for him if he didn't overdo it.
