Long day, getting longer, dragging on in an endless memorandum. Sunrise, sunset, it all reoccurred as the same never changing effect. But what kept them from living, people he meant. It was all relative as far as he was concerned. Gabriel sat at the back of a double decker bus riding it seemed more prevalent since a few meetings he'd had there. It was one of the few places he could have some peace of mind, it was always moving just like the sun against the horizon.
*Crunch*
A lurching heave forced Gabriel from his seat finding his body displaced across the roof of the bus. On all fours he looked up as to what could have happened soon enough he rubbed his head still at a downward angle peering down the stairs of the double decker bus.
"Great..." now his peace was a bit disrupted.

Tash was driving home, her Bambino's engine snorting like a racehorse anticipating the starting gun as they cruised behind a bus. Despite the lack of speed she usually craved, Tash was having a good day. Echo by Incubus was thumping slow and mellow from her speakers, there was a breeze coming in from the bay and she had her Bambino back from the shop. She hummed along, occasionally making up a few notes of a harmony or two as the song went along.
Pessimists would cite Murphy's Law. Tash didn't believe in that. She'd just say that shit happened....and you deal or you don't. So Tash was prepared to deal (but not thrilled about it) when the double decker bus ahead of her slammed on its brakes.
Tash hissed and pumped the brakes on her own car and her eyes track quickly: if she keeps this up she'll still rear end the bus. Spinning the wheel and sending her car drifting a few feet towards the empty bike lane to the right, she grits her teeth. It's going to be close and it's still not going to be pretty. The Fastback's tires shriek like an angry dinosaur and it groans as it jumps the curb before coming to a complete stop. All Tash can do is just sit there, fuming. That idiot bus driver. What did they do? Give them all randomized lobotomies before inducting them into public service? Pick an asshole that knows how to drive, is that really so impossible? Apparently so.
She sat there for a minute, calming herself, before she stood exited the car, slamming the door angrily and marching up to the bus, which was stopped. From her spot on the pavement, she pounded angrily on the bus door and a surprised and flustered bus driver opened it for her. She mounted the steps in one athletic bound and was in his face before he knew what was going on.
"Do you see that car out there on the curb? Do you see it, hm?" He nodded hesitantly. "That car costs more than your yearly salary and you've made me jump a San Francisco curb with it. I'm not going to have to have the suspension realigned. More over time for me because it's coming out of my paycheck, not yours. But was I the one who couldn't drive? No ceffo, I'm not. But it sure as hell isn't coming out of your paycheck, and that's not fair. Do you think it's fair? 'Cause I don't."
Out of the corner of her eye she saw a face she recognized. Dark hair and green eyes. She recognized him from the hallways at school even though they'd never met. Vaguely, she thought she remembered his name being Biblical or French or something. Not that it mattered right now, not with her baby on the sidewalk and more money disappearing from some new hole in her wallet. Goddamn, what next?

The voices of angry people swarmed his ears, for a second he preferred death. One voice stood out amongst the rest very forward and violent, close and threatening though not upon his own life. Still Gabriel felt a sense of duty to attend to the matters. He stood and took a look over the edge only to find an interesting looking young woman accosting the bus driver about his yearly income.
Gabriel rolled his eyes knowing he was going to regret this. Placing a hand on the guard rail he hurtled it and landed gracefully on the ground without much effort. Now standing a few meters behind the woman he came to place an arm against the doorway of the bus signaling to make room for him to enter the conversation.
"Excuse-moi, what seems to be the problem?" Gabriel chanted easily to both parties.

A motion in her peripheral vision catches her eye and her head whips around to see the boy from her school approaching. He knows how to handle himself in a fight and she's pushing things and she knows it but right now she doesn't really care. She's starting to see red and her fingers keep twitching. It's rare for her to get so angry, but if there's any way to get a surefire raise out of this girl, it's a threat to her Bambino. Most girls don't get this touchy about cars, but Tash LaVeau isn't 'most girls'.
"This moron might have just cost me my paycheck, that's what." She jabs her thumb at her car. "I'm not sure how much you know about cars but that one on the curb is a classic. It's a 1967 Mustang Fastback. It's just had air conditioning put in, a tire replaced, and it's got a 354hp engine under the hood. I'm trying to save enough to actually paint it so it's not just sitting there in black primer. But from the looks of that it won't be happening anytime soon because ceffe genius here left me no option but to jump the curb. And now my suspension's all jacked up. And you know how paid for everything on that car? I did. Not mommy and daddy - I bought that thing when it was on blocks and paid for everything out of my paychecks. So pardon me if I'm a little on edge, but that's my baby out there. Understand?"

Gabriel stood solid through the woman's "eager" presentation on the fact that she was simply so upset on the matter. Her car was of high value and importance. He gave a slight nod before walking out, in the process pressing her a distance from the driver. Once safe enough he made his way to close the door and allow for the Bus man to evade possible castration. Women were very passionate in their exploits.
"How can we settle this?" Gabriel flexed his mental strain rather than his physical being, he'd rather not have this boil down into something violent, "I can reimburse your losses." He stated matter of fact without much concern.
Though it wasn't his fault he had little concern for what happened to his holdings and he didn't think on the expenses he'd be willing to lose himself. His shares where extravagant, being royalty had very few limits, along with a below ground network of gangs and mafia like extortions. Cars weren't his specialty but he was willing to try opening up new grounds.

His matter of fact tone cuts through her agitation and she takes a step back. The last thing she was expecting was for someone to be polite. Especially someone who had no stake in the matter, specifically. Aside from the fact that he was riding on the bus that had almost wrecked her pride and joy.
"Oh, um. Thanks." Is all she can come up with at first, then she glances back out at her Fastback on the pavement. It's attracting something of a crowd, in part because it's a flashy classic car and also because of it's unusual placement. i.e. - in the middle of the sidewalk. "Well, to be honest, I don't want to take advantage of you like that. Shit, really though, it would help if you knew or could help me find a garage that's not too expensive. I'm on a tight budget right now....but I don't exactly want to ask you to pay, as tempting as it is with my low income. If you might help me with that, I'd be thrilled."

Gabriel smirked expecting something more of a pride filled retaliation, most people around here seemed so concerned about their pride or reputation that they took certain things for granted, Gabriel was one of them. He gave her a quick nod knowing a place in fact.
"Yes, actually I own one myself, I'll take you there if of course you're ride has room for one more, it seems my bus has left me." He said with a faint smile.
The garage in fact was owned by his company, little would she know it was Gang operated and owned, a mafia like following ran the place with strict emergence though a car passing through would change fairly little. He wasn't going to steal the car when he could simply buy it too though it would make fun sport of a chance meeting he thought of what the stakes could be, she'd certainly owe him. All in time, he thought.

He seemed surprised. Probably expected more of a fight out of her. Or something. Well, Tash didn't like to pick fights and she only really got protective over her car. She had reason to: all the work on it hadn't been paid for by rich parents. Every penny that went into the classic Mustang came out of her own pocket and paycheck. So she didn't see any reason to keep going into hysterics when the problem was so easily solved. Pride she had, ego she did not.
"Yes, actually I own one myself, I'll take you there if of course you're ride has room for one more, it seems my bus has left me."
Her green eyes focused on him shrewdly at that. A highschooler with his own garage. Tash wasn't stupid. There was probably some dirty money involved, but she didn't really care. She'd probably owe him, that was certain. But she could deal with that when she needed to. And she didn't need to now.
"You found me a shop. It's my pleasure to give you a ride. Name's Tash. Short for Natasha."
She steps over to her car, walking around it once to check for any further damages. Finding none, she opens the door and slides into the passenger seat, muttering to herself, "Damn bus driver should go back to drivers ed..." and waits for her benefactor to climb into the passenger's seat.

He smiled shaking her hand lightly, "Gabriel Seran, a pleasure Natasha." in his french accent it came out very exotic and Gabriel had a liking for it.
Rather than sticking around for too very long he crawled across into the passenger seat staying calm and collected about himself. His right hand smoothed across the edge of the car noting the fine features to it. With each graze he heard the choppy sound of metal on metal as his hand was felt through the glove.
Such things felt out of reach now that feeling with that hand was far beyond his capabilities now, there would be need for enhancement for a greater achievement to be had.
"All right its just past Pacific Avenue.., to the right." He turned subconsciously towards Tash to give her the directions.

She nods and puts the car in reverse, taps the gas and the Fastback's engine snarls like an angry tiger. Usually she hated being called Natasha...but it didn't sound to shabby with a French accent so she just smiled. They bump off the curb, Tash wincing at the thought of her suspension and then pulled forward as soon as they reached the street. Back on track again.
Pacific....
Still running pretty smooth - hopefully nothing would have been thrown too far off...
"Thanks again for helping me out. It wasn't even your fault but you still offered....Thanks."

He smiled letting the brisk wind hit him, knocking the hair out of his eyes. "I think its best that some people should make a few sacrifices to ensure everything can flow peacefully, it doesn't always take one side to back down to win a conflict, you can always resort to the third party."
He laid back more relaxed now pressing a hand through his hair gently, "Though, I'm sure you would have won in the end or at least given the man a hefty beating by its end. But then who would win in the end?"
Turning to give her a small grin before looking onward with an accomplished smile.

"Starting fights isn't my thing, but when it comes to Bambino, I know I get protective." She shrugs, relishing the humming power of the car beneath her, throwing a glance at Gabriel before continuing. "The guy I bought this car off of had no idea what he was selling. This was a real junker when I bought it but I've paid for all the work myself. Maybe that explains it. Maybe I'm just crazy."
Tash laughs a bit. They brake at a red light and she looks over at her passenger and patron. She wasn't sure what his angle was, but she was sure he had one. There was something in his eyes: intuition told her so. Not that it worried her too much, but still. It was something to keep in mind.
"So I bet I owe you after this, huh?"

Gabriel laughed at her story, he respected the great admiration for the car, it was indeed a bueaty and deserved more respect than any in his entourage. In which case it was worth more due to the sweat and toil she put into it. Certainly a piece of art compared to a hunk of metal and clockwork.
"So I bet I owe you after this, huh?"
Gabriel turned a head over to her slowly and remained silent for a moment thinking it over, she could owe him but what was ther to be indebted with he had about everything a man could want at his age there was little inspiration for more, perhaps friendship would be a good start he could certainly settle for.
"Lets call it even, you're driving, I was headed down to the garage anyway..." liar

"Lets call it even, you're driving, I was headed down to the garage anyway..." She looked at him as they pulled up outside the garage, swung the car into a waiting spot and looked at Gabriel. Uh huh, she thought I'm sure you were headed just that way. Even though you were on the bus to downtown. But it was a nice gesture so she wasn't going to do anything more than raise and eyebrow and smile. It was a nice gesture: and there was that old saying about never looking a gift horse in the mouth.
The engine rumbled and snorted softly like a curious stallion as she put the car into park and pulled the key from the ignition. "Told you I'd take care of you."She murmured to the Fastback, tapping the dashboard with her fingers and opening the door to get out."So we can talk about paying now. Just tell me who and how and we'll talk about how much. I still can't thank you enough."ooc: gahh! sorry it's been forever. i've had so much going on my posting everywhere has been spotty

Gabriel walked up to the car entrance to the garage. The metal sheet protecting it from thieves was unlocked earlier as Gabriel's employees could manage it quickly and get to work this morning. Gabriel knelt down and grabbed the bottom handle lifting it up with one easy tug. Behind it lied a good dozen cars straight off the market line while some of them were still in production not yet sold. All of them very expensive ones any normal person would spend a lifetime to attain a percentage of it's worth.
He gave a small look to her, "Does it look like I need the money?"
Gabriel walked in alongside a bearded fellow. He was Russian by the looks of him scraggily beard tall built features that scared anyone who looked at him. His hands worked repetitively yet with a certain skill on an engine piecing the bits together to make it work to it's best.
"So what's the damage this time Lord Seran?" Gabriel looked up with a small smile at the Russian, just a little damage nothing too definitive..
