Twas a sunny day in June! The Birds overhead were chirping away, mothers where harping on their young children.. Always yelling at them, for being uncleanly! Ah, childhood! What playful and carefree days! How she kind of missed them! Days in the forest with friends, looking for snail wizards, playing in the mud, climbing trees, running across patches of grass with spiky things that fell from the trees! Yes, childhood, if she could go back in time...that would be the time to be! In the distance, there was an elderly lady feeling some ducks at the pond. Someday, Nova would be that old lady! Though, her hair probably would have gone blue from years of dye'in. Perhaps, the birds would take her in as one of their own! Yes, what a way to live out the days of one's retirement! The crazy old duck lady! Known for following the ducks, and quacking away with them! Also, for the fact, the ducks didn't run from her... Yes! What a wonderful life.
Things were going fine! It was noon, the park was a buzz with life! From hot dog vendors and their chatter, along with the sizzling of the grill.. The lingering aroma of various animal parts squeezed into a tube like thing. Along with, he distant barking of dogs, and the sounds of spandex against spandex and squeaky shoes as joggers made their way along the path that divided the park. One side it seemed to be filled with the old, or in her case, old at heart. There was a lovely pond, where people took paddle boats, to perhaps.. Confess their love? Or even something else along the lines of Romance.
Where as the other side had a playground on it. Children running wild, being chased by high strung mothers, cursing the very day they conceived said child. Oh yes, always wondering how such a energetic kid could be theirs. The sounds of crying, yelling, giggling, shoes on little rocks, and fun drifted from the side. Obviously people didn't know how to keep their voices down, what did they wish to ruin the wonders of the park. Looking up towards the cloudless blue sky, the green eyed girl sighed. Closing her eyes for a moment, to enjoy the warmth that broke through the trees, as it touched her face. It was such a lovely feeling. Long since had the girl cast aside the works of Poe, to enjoy the day. The book remained on the bench beside her, hidden beneath a bag.
Slowly, the smells of unmentionable tube meat made the girl hungry, though the more she thought about its contents, the more she wished she hadn't in the first place. Though for some reason or another, the tanned girl could not stop thinking about them. What was so alluring about mystery junk smooshed into a long shape? What made them so good? Why did people want to eat them? Nova had to admit, once in the past... Childhood to be exact, she once loved the food called....hot dogs. Why? She couldn't remember. Perhaps it was a passing fancy all young children have before being released into the world. Yes, before finding out the contents of said food.
The girl was feeling sick! Yes, sick off the memories of eating such a thing, the thoughts of enjoying them, and of course the smell that wafted through the park from the damn vendor. Leaning forward, the girl looked down at the ground, trying to think of something else.. anything else! Surely from a distance it looked like she was going to be horribly ill. Though, she must have been quite the sight in general, looking off at random things in the park, making various expressions as she did so.
"I just ruined my appetite." The girl said loudly, though she had meant to only said it quietly to herself. Accidents happen
