IZ MALL THREAD. Join if you guys want. ^_^ Three's a party! =DDD
Now, Emily wasn't exactly like other girls of the modern age. If anything, she was old-fashioned; traditional, if you would say. Decorum? Emily always minded it. She almost always did her best to act appropriately. Refinement? Emily had that in action and in speech. Grace? It was there. And in spite all of this, she was not perfect. She was insecure, and most of all... short.
Quite short, even for an asian.
In spite of her height, Emily stood out from the crowd with her white hair. Even as she walked across the grocery store looking for foodstuffs to buy and take home. Emily couldn't make up her mind though.
Tuna or Salmon?
Oh, choices! Choices!

((HOPE YA DON"T MIND IF I CRASH THIS THREAD MMMMKAY))
Stu didn't shop often. Normally he just ate out. But then again, everyone liked a home cooked meal.
Unfortunately, Stu didn't really know how to cook. Or what ingredients he'd need, let alone how to prepare anything that wasn't already prepared.
That's why he was in the fish aisle. He could always just fry up some fish, throw in some chips, and it'd be a right proper meal for any englishman. He sized up the fish, not knowing which one he'd like the best.
He saw Emily searching as well. They had met a few times, each on a different outting. The first was a fight, her, Adrian, and Unfettered. Two of those three became good friends of his, accomplices in his travels. But Emily had really fallen away to the side.
That was until Gabriel gathered them all. He hadn't seen her since that night, in any real capacity anyways, a few glimpses her and there throughout the school.
He waved genially, "Hi Emily, its Stu!" He'd be kinda embarrassed if she didn't remember him, but then again, the first time they met he was a pretty different person. A bit more... crazy?

[[OOC: Sorry for the wait!! o___o;; I was busy yesterday!<3 Sorry sorry sorry!]]It seemed like food was always on her mind! Well, not really, there were other things floating around up there! it's just food was the most important, most of the time! After all, you need to eat in order to be able to... get hopelessly lost, right? Right! She wasn't going to let anyone else let her think otherwise. Its not like the girl ate a lot! It's just she liked food, within reservation of course! She'd not snack through out the day, unless it was necessary! Unless seen necessary, Nova Bryant stuck to the three meals and made sure to do a lot of walking! But of course, having a single middle aged woman without a family.. or anything like that! it lead the kitchen to be bare! Why? Since most of the time she was working or eating out with friends, if there was time that is. So, a healthy meal seemed to be hard to obtain! At least for Auntie! Staying with the woman was free at that point in time, since she was still new to the city and looking for a job, so Nova had to think of a way to repay the woman. Right?
What better a way to say: Thanks for letting me stay here Auntie!
With a home cooked meal?
But that required two... three things!
One: Grocery shopping... Two: Finding a grocery store! and Three: Money!
All of said things were easily done! Nova had saved a lot, there for she had money to spend on groceries! Though, the location of a grocery store was another story... but one she was willing to jump into! Yes, this tale of Nova takes place in a grocery store! After being lost for a few hours, the girl had finally decided to....Ask for directions! Which was indeed a big step for the girl, since she was usually so nervous... It was a little different in seemed, perhaps she had more confidence instock that day! Whatever it was left Nova feeling great! Like she could do anything! Conquer anyone! it was grand! So, after getting directions, getting lost for another hour and a half, and the finally getting to said mall with grocery store attached... Nova was ready! Yes, ready to face the mall and all the horrors it had in store for for her!...Then, all she could think of was some catchy tune from her youth, something she had probably heard in a television show way back! Whatever it was, seemed to keep her happy and not nervous; so it was allll goood.
You'll never take me down! You're never gonna take me down...What was the rest? You'll never stop me...I've got one foot off the ground...Drat!
Perhaps, she didn't know all the words or even the right tune it went too, it still played a little part in keeping her looking up and wearing a genuine smile on her face! That's really all that matter, right?
So, upon entering the grocery store, the tanned girl grabbed a cart and began her journey! She already knew exactly what she was going to make! Salmon fillet with scallops, though what ever was to go on the side, would probably be decided later. For at that point in time she was completely clueless as to what else she wanted to make."To the Fish department!" Nova cheered happily, as she started to walk a little faster; chuckling to herself all the while as she walked. it was quite fun not to worry too much about what people thought and said about her! After all, what were the chances of ever seeing them again, right?
She got to the section and looked around, after interrogating the clerk for a while.. he finally was able to help her pick the perfect pieces of salmon for her auntie! As the young man handed said wrapped up fish down to the girl, she started to walk away, thanking the man and smiling as she turned to look ahead of her once more. Yes, once to notice the: Caution! May be slippery sign that stood beside her at the time. Ha! not gonna be klutzy today!! ha ha ha.. nothings gonna get me down today! The girl laughed within her head.
"Hi Emily, its Stu!"
Though as she was off in her own mind laughing...about not going to be a klutz, a kid ran out in front of her. Darting towards the lobster tank the kid crossed her path, Nova had to swerve and she slipped on the wet floor, she pushed her cart a little too hard and it went flying towards a young man and a short girl with white hair.
"Look out!" Nova called out as she fell on her face.. On the wet ground.
Seee, when you get too confident, you get careless! That usually leads to bad things, especially if you celebrate and space out. Nova Bryant learned that the hard way...always!

Emily looked at the fish, sitting there in the bed of ice in front of her. Should she buy it pre-cut or whole? Oh, the choices. Well, considering her own finances, buying the pre-cut one would be more economical. I mean, let's face it. She wouldn't eat a whole tuna by herself - and God knows she'd die of mercury toxicity if she ate it for a week straight. Yeah, she took a pack of pre-cut tuna and salmon - half of a kilo each.
"Hi Emily, its Stu!" A familiar, masculine voice called out from nearby. Yes, Emily remembered him - but he was certainly not this cheerful. Emily was about to open her mouth to greet him a good day when she heard a cry from behind.
"Look out!"
Oh man, a runaway cart. Emily quickly jumped back, knocking down a tarpaulin stand and herself, actually - landing on the floor. "Ow, ow." She said, pulling herself together and checking her groceries. Yup, they didn't fly to wherever at least. "Oh, man. This just wasn't my day huh, Stu?" She laughed, before standing up, taking her basket with her. Emily ran quickly towards the girl. "You alright?"
Wow, this girl was a total klutz. Though Emily was slightly clumsy, it didn't happen really often. Emily gave a hand to the girl, hoping to help her up. "Here, let me give you a hand."

Stu ran towards Emily, and then suddenly was alerted to the presence of an incoming cart. He jumped forwards slightly, landing on his toes and trying to lean out of the cart's way. Emily knocked something over before running to the girl's aid.
Stu quickly landed back on his feet, lashing out with one hand to grab onto the handle of the cart, bringing it back to him before it could crash into anything. He let out his breath in a long exasperated sigh, pushing the cart around and back towards the girl who had launched it at him.
"You alright there, twist? Took quite a nasty spill there."
He offered a hand next to Emily, smiling at them both, toothy grin that beguiled many a person.

A good way of meeting people always seemed to be taking the klutz's path! Though of course, it was all accidental, she never meant to almost hit people with her cart; it just kind of happened. While being face fist in the ground, she heard some noises, something falling.. the voices of the strangers. Though she wasn't really paying too much attention to it all, she was more so focused on getting up. Well, she managed to get onto her knees, looking up at the trouble she had caused. Not again.. Nova thought to herself, as she brought a hand up to her head. It hurt a little from the collision with the floor..Nothing new. She always seemed to be falling on her face! It just seemed to be apart of life for her.
"You alright?"
It was the white haired girl, Emily if that's what green hair had called her. Nova merely nodded at her, wearing a faint smile on her face. "I'm sorry about that." She felt really guilty for causing the pair trouble. She saw the green haired guy, Stu? was it. He was bringing back the runaway cart, which was rather nice. Then he too offered her a hand up, which was also rather nice. It was kind of like being in the twilight zone! Perhaps, it was the reverse mall! where only good things happen, opposed to the usual rule of a mall; where most things go wrong.
"Here, let me give you a hand."
"You alright there, twist? Took quite a nasty spill there."
Twist? Nova was confused as to that term, or meaning! Or whatever. They seemed like nice people, smiling away at her, though she almost hit them with her car full'o'fish. The girl merely nodded at the young man with the toothy grin, it was the only way she could think about replying.. without spewing more apologies at them. She accepted their help and pulled herself up to her feet, still wearing a somewhat nervous smile."Thank-you! I'm really sorry about that! I slipped on the floor. But I guess you guys gathered that much from the caution sign! Are you alright miss? What about you?" Nova looked from Emily to Stu, worried about their well being.. while babbling on and on. Nervous habits."Thank-you again! I can't imagine what that cart would have hit if you didn't stop it!" With that, the tanned girl had to stop her chatter, she didn't want to drive the nice people mad.
White, green, black and purple.. There seemed to be a gathering of those with strange hair. What were the chances?

Emily smiled at the girl, "Well, I didn't get hurt - so it's okay." she said, pulling her up as soon as she accepted. Well, she looked like an interesting person; a klutz, but honestly seemed to be radiating with optimism and happiness that is rarely found amongst their age nowadays. Emily herself, was a rarity; as was Stu, who had an aura of a punkster - but a rather good, yet slightly badass one. Quite strong as well.
Would be wonderful if she got him to side with her. Then again, Emily quickly realized that she never really spent that much time with Stu to gain influence on him. We'll just have to see what comes, and hopefully the winds would favor her today.
"Hopefully you didn't sprain your foot or something, mm?" She said, looking at the girl's leg. "Does it hurt? Maybe you should wear some rubber-soled flats."
Talk to the girl who was wearing ballet slippers all the time, oh boy. She looked at Stu and smiled, "I'm quite surprised at seeing you here, Stu. Out for a bit of shopping as well?"

Stu rubbed his head as the girl blathered on. He really wasn't following her speech much, and was very relieved when Emily finally mentioned his name.
"Oh! Yeah. I don't normally go out much. I was actually on my way to make some Fish and Chips. Not normal for me to cook, but I figure I should at least learn to, aye?
Perhaps you two would like to join me? Or perhaps help this poor soul... bloody impossible for me to learn how to cook, but I'll give it a right proper try. A right college try."
He laughed. He sounded funny, not normal in a social situation that didn't involve him getting into a girl's pants or hurting someone.
Oh well. Like he said; first time for everything.

[[OOC: Sorry sorry! I've been a wee busyish D: and post powa lacking! So, sorry for the wait and the quality! the next will be better @___@;;; <3 ]] "Well, I didn't get hurt - so it's okay."/color]
Nova was so very relieved that the nice girl hadn't been harmed in her display of kultziness, after all it would probably hurt a little? Getting hit by a cart and all. Nova smiled down at the girl. With that the girl straightened her clothes, still wearing a smile as she did so. Though she was beginning to feel a little embarassed about her babbling, it was a habit she needed to get rid of, since it was probably scaring away many people! After all, no one likes someone who goes on and on about nothing! The girl would have to work on it later, for sure!
"Hopefully you didn't sprain your foot or something, mm?"
She watched as the white haired girl looked at her leg. It didn't hurt, she was fine; as far as she knew. Nova had earned herself a great resistance to pain caused by klutzy happenings, or anything in general. Yes indeedie! The girl was fine and ready to continue on as if nothing happened.
"Does it hurt? Maybe you should wear some rubber-soled flats."
"No, I'm fine." The tanned girl chuckled a little, smiling a little more, "Thank-you for asking! Rubber soled flats? I'll have to look into getting a pair! Thank-you for the advice." She spoke a little softer, feeling quite embarrassed about her actions and words. She could have worded it better, but Nova wasn't going to start babbling. Yes, she was going to try and control it.
"I'm quite surprised at seeing you here, Stu. Out for a bit of shopping as well?"
The awkward American girl watched Emily as she looked over at the green haired young man, remaining silent as they spoke to eachother. Ever wondering if she should walk away, was she unwanted? Had she overstayed her welcome? Once again, the girl was a little nervous, not knowing about how to deal with strangers and all, she was afraid of not fitting in or making them dislike her. Nova always worried over foolish things, she knew it all too well; but it was who she was.
"Oh!
Was I invited too? He said 'two' didn't he? y-yeah.. but it could ahve been a mistake! Oh shut up.. Once more, the girl was twisting her ring around with her thumb, she was a little nervous. None the less, she smiled away, feeling really happy that Stu had invited her too to tag along! That alone was making her feel a little more at ease.. to be included! Such a wonderful feeling you get when you are welcomed into things, even with strangers! Nova smiled at the young man and the girl, it was her answer. She was too excited to agree to going in the fun, but the girl nodded once she was able to contain her excitement a little.
