OOC: This takes place directly after the fight between Connor and Sara ( I <3 Blind People O= [Connor]) Connor was bruised and battered, but he was able to walk. Thankfully. It had been a good spar, and Sara had come out on top. She was definitely superior as far as fighting went, but then again, it had only been a friendly match. He had managed to hold his own, and so he was still breathing. Then again, she could have just went easy on him. "Well, that was fun. Good thing we get along. I'd really hate to have you beat on me pissed off." He grinned at that. His tone was lighthearted and friendly. After all, why shouldn't it be? They walked away form their little fighting ground before the staff could find them and discipline them. Chances are Sara would receive more than Connor would, as she was the one who had busted in the classroom. But, at least for now, they didn't have to worry about it. They walked together, the fresh air of the day playing in their hair, the soft breeze a contrast to the fight earlier. Everything was at peace. On the outside. Connor's mind was still reeling from all things that had happened recently. He still had yet to visit Gabriel for training, so that was still to be seen what his intentions were. However, he had gone through his situation with Bix. She had still not talked about how the kiss effected her, nor what to think. That, plus his daily training with Suichi, along with the coming situations the Honor Guard was to implement, Connor was more than bothered and confused. His only friend was Bix, the only one he had confided in after the meeting at the warehouse. He felt like he was about to burst on the inside, but remained calm. After all, he didn't know how Sara would react, nor if she really wanted a friendship with the boy. Sure, they got along... a bit. She was the only other student who had seen his eyes and didn't mind them. As they walked together, Connor's thoughts filled his mind. He was quiet as he thought, which would definitely show Sara something was on his mind. Even his energy would give off that something was bothering him. He thought about confiding in her. How would she react? How good of friends were they? He had no idea Sara had wanted to speak with him after the meeting. If he had, then he might have been put at ease. "Um, Sara..." When he spoke, his tone was softer, and showed a bit of being nervous. Less confident than in the fight. But, he was still open. "Were friends, right? I mean... your the only other person I... wow I sound stupid..." He blushed a bit, feeling embarrassed. Sara was so strong, and he didn't want to appear weak in front of her. "I need to talk to someone, and I was hoping I could talk to you."

Sara walked happily along beside Connor. It had been a good fight. He was pretty good. Better then she had expected him to be. That was good. Really good. Made her proud. Swelled her ego :3 She had definitely made a good choice with this one. He was a good guy. And for some strange reason, Sara worried about him. She had a very... limited range of emotions since the kidnapping, but there was something about him. She had been going to mention something during the fight but had chosen not to. Maybe now would be a good time? Although she knew she might just be over reacting about Gabriel's intentions with Connor. But deep down, she knew the truth. And she felt the need to warn him. She turned her head up to the boy. He was quite, which to her seemed odd. Connor didn't seem like the quite type to her, which meant he was probably brooding. His earlier comments had made it seem as though the loss was nothing, but maybe he was pissed about that? She opened her mouth to speak, but before she could, he spoke first. She closed her mouth and turned her head back in front of her. She listened to him closely, trying to pick up what the nervousness in his voice could mean. "I need to talk to someone, and I was hoping I could talk to you."Hmmmmm... Well.... This seemed a little different. It felt like there was something else there. Something she wasn't picking up on. He seemed so... " Innocent. Innocent seemed like a good word, but didn't seem to fit exactly. It didn't matter though. She needed to talk to him to, so it turned out that now was a good time. She laughed, trying to lighten the mood a little. A cute little twinkling laugh. Odd, coming from crazy Sara, but oh well. She made an attempt, that was what mattered. "You can talk to me about anything. At all. Really." She smiled encouragingly. "In fact... I wanted to talk to you to. About Gabriel... I'm worried about this training thing..." She turned her head up to him. She had brought Connor into this, and she had no problem speaking her mind. In this case, there was no chance that he was going to go and squeal on her or anything like that. She had chosen him. Connor's connection was to her, not Gabriel. She was safe speaking her mind. "You need to be careful around him. There's something else to this training... I know it..."

He stopped walking. She wanted to talk to him too? As she spoke, her words were like she could read his mind. It was one of the main things that he wanted to talk to her about. "Yeah... I got that feeling, too. It makes me a bit nervous. I don't know why he picked me. I mean, you're way stronger, so was basically everyone else there. They would all make for better fighters than me. It just... it makes no sense. That and I... don't trust him."
Connor had been worried to say it. He didn't know how she would have reacted. But, after speaking those words, he felt way better. That, and her laugh, though out of place, had put him at ease too. She was concerned for him. It showed. He didn't know why, though. She hadn't come off as the type to worry for another. Not that it was a bad thing. But, she was who she was, and Connor had liked her for it. Still did.
"If things... well, if his plan, whatever it is, doesn't go about bringing this peace he talks of, I can't follow him. I can't see, but I'm not stupid. I won't just blindly follow someone." Yes, it was a play on his condition. He didn't care. "I was hoping that if things go poorly, well..." he still found the next part hard to say. He got nervous when he was speaking his mind like this.
"Sara, I plan to stick by you. Whatever happens, I promise you I will never betray you or your trust. You can always count on me." It sounded a bit more serious than he may have intended, but he wanted her to know his connection was to her, and not Gabriel. He was her friend. He would stick with her, even if that meant turning on Gabriel.
"Well, you didn't pummel me for that, so I can say it went well." He smiled, knowing full well they were friends. There was still something bothering him, something that had nothing to do with the plan, Gabriel, the meeting, or anything like that. It was still his personal issue with a certain girl. A certain girl he wasn't sure he could ever be close to, and still didn't fully understand why.
"Um... this is something of a bit of a different topic. But, something that's been bothering me for a while now. And, I don't exactly have a huge group of friends to turn to. Um..." he really didn't know how exactly to begin. "If you like someone, but they don't seem to like you the same, or even close... um..." the more he spoke, the more he felt like an idiot.
"Wow... this sounds so dumb." He took a breath. "I like her, and she doesn't like me at all the same. What would you do?" There, he had gotten it out. He hoped maybe a bit of insight from someone else might help.

Sara couldn't help but smile as he spoke. She liked that he could joke about his blindness. It made being around fun instead of awkward. Most people would be unsure of what to say and would watch what they said, but with him, she didn't feel she needed to think about offending him. But she also smiled because he was on her side. That made her happy. Until she had brought Connor into this, she had felt kind of alone. Not the most appropriate feeling for crazy Sara, but even crazy people had insecurities D< And although now she was thinking it hadn't been the best for him, she was glad he was involved. She had known no one else at that meeting... Or at least not been on friendly terms with any of them but Connor. And he was swearing his undying loyalty to her =D! Who wouldn't feel kind of smug about that =D?! "Connor, no matter what, you can count on me to. If you need help, don't be afraid to ask for it. Really." She smiled, ending that portion of the conversation. Now onto the next!! Her smile faltered a little at the topic he brought up next. Girl issues? Oh jeez... she wasn't much a girl expert... Girls were... Confusing D= But she would help him as best she could. So she listened to him till the end and then sighed as she thought about it. Did he want some sort of extreme enlightenment? Was she supposed to come up with some amazing words of wisdom? Speak epic words of advice? That wasn't her... She spoke her mind straight up, no hiding things. "You don't sound stupid. At all. Umm... Well..." " Wow... Crazy Sara trying to think about girl problems... OH!! KILL THEM !!! No... That wasn't a good solution for him, he was to nice for that. "Well... what I would do, probably isn't what you would do." She smiled slyly, but continued. "I would... And it sounds harsh, but I would move on. If she didn't want you, it was her problem, and there are a lot of other girls out there who would probably be more then happy to spend some time with you." ; D Although she laughed, awkward conversation was getting awkward... She needed to lighten the mood... ><

Move on. That didn't sound too harsh. It sounded sensible. From Sara's voice, it sounded like she wasn't exactly into this kind of thing either. He nodded with her words. Though he had been hoping for some kind of 'enlightenment,' maybe some incite into the female mind, he had at least gotten an honest, straightforward answer. "No, that's not harsh. It makes more sense then what I was thinking."
He grinned, a bit embarrassed. "If you do the same thing, expecting different results, that is the definition of insanity. Maybe... moving on would be better." He had blushed hard when she said there were other girls who would have wanted to spend time with him. That was something he highly doubted. They had started walking again, with no particular place to go.
"I wouldn't get carried away. Somehow, I doubt that there are too many people in general that want to spend time around me. You are one of the few. Too many people feel weird around me. You don't walk on eggshells around me, though. You are honest, and speak whatever's on your mind. I appreciate that." He grinned at her. "Though the pet name you have for me is a bit much. When I'm stronger, maybe I'll fight that out of you."
He was talking about her tendency to call him her 'blind bitch.' His tone showed he really didn't mind it at all. He just wanted to get off the topic and avoid any kind of pity, self or other. "You know... you make for a pretty good friend, Sara. Maybe the next time we end up hanging out, it can be with less hitting." He grinned. He had very much enjoyed the sparring, and would like to do it again. Everything about him would tell her that much. But, he did enjoy less violent things, to.
Something dawned on him, though he kept it to himself. She had been showing concern for him, and even said that other girls would be happy spending time with him. Did she mean herself? Did Sara... no. He chocked up to reading far to much into it. She had just been reassuring him and being nice, wasn't she? Yeah, that had to be it.

"You know... you make for a pretty good friend, Sara. Maybe the next time we end up hanging out, it can be with less hitting."
Sara smiled, enjoying the slow, easy pace that they were walking at. She liked how he didn't expect pity from her, because sadly, he would get none. It wasn't that she didn't like him, but there was little room for pity in her messed up mind right now. She ALSO liked that he wasn't going into details about his problems. She didn't have time to listen to them, nor she did care so much. Most people, once they started, never shut up, spilling their life stories to a stranger in minutes. He didn't. He asked for her opinion, and upon hearing it, moved on. She liked that. Made things simpler for her.
"I can do no hitting... I think," she replied, laughing. At least she was able to joke about her little anger problem. "This is nice to, I guess." Her tone was sarcastic and joking. She actually really did enjoy just walking with him, spending time with someone who wasn't prodding into her life, and spilling theirs.
"The pet name is cute though, and one day you'll be able to take me in a fight, and I'm not joking when I say I fear that day. I think you're just to hard on yourself, I'm pretty epic you know~" This was referring both to his comment about not many people wanting to be around him and about him losing the little spar.
Sara laughed now, gently slapping at his arm in a friendly, playful manner. To any outsider, the gesture would seem almost sweet, something that couples do.

He rubbed his arm where it made contact, and there was a smile on his face. He was actually enjoying himself out here. Friend to friend, and playful. And, he had understood the honesty in her voice. She actually believed he would be stronger than she was. He doubted it to be possible, but he took the compliment anyway.
Thing was, Connor wasn't sure why she was this nice to him. he had heard stories about her. About how strong she was, and her volatility. She was not to be held down, nor controlled. All in all, he hadn't exactly heard anyone raving about how kindhearted or nice she was. But, she traded wits with Connor, as well as shared her time with him, and actually seemed to enjoy herself with him.
yes, his loyalty to her would be superior to that of his to Gabriel. He would not turn on her, and if she asked him to, he would follow her lead far beyond Gabriel's.
"Yeah, epic you are. I'll get there eventually. And you'll be the first I seek out." He was grinning. It had been a great spar, and he would look forward to doing it again. He also looked forward to fighting alongside her.
