Friday afternoon, it seemed nothing but bright and sunny for Moral Crest High School and little would change that till next week when the clouds began to come in. Gabriel was looking forward to a bit of rain it always seemed to bring his spirits up. He'd kill to have a night out with Olivia in the rain. A small chuckle to himself as he suited up in the white one-piece suit that had been arranged for him and the other members of the newly organized fencing club.
Gabriel sought to fund one for the school, what was a program without the useful facilities of a fencing club? Gabriel could certainly not do without the opportunity for a little crossing blades.
Getting dressed he set aside his gauntlets and gear and decided it be best without the extra weight. It appeared to weigh him down a bit, but not too much. A small grin as he stood at attention waiting for the cards to be drawn for the people to be matched against one another he wanted to see whom he was matched up against.

Well, fencing wasn't much of her forte. Archery, dart throwing or something with projectile items and things the required accuracy would be the sport for Leanne since she had a good eye and aim. Even though she wasn't good at it, Leanne decided to give it a shot, she did have a few lessons back in the day when she was serving the Sevren family. Even her 'Master' Tremblay had a knack for fencing and Leanne would find herself observing on the sidelines.
Either way here she was suited up in the white tacky and skin-tight looking suit. It wasn't exactly a suit, but several pieces that only consisted of the colour white. Little did she know she'd be seeing a familiar face again. However, as she came out of the change room and got her name down and everything she had her fencing mask on already. Never want her eyes to get plucked out, no!?
Leanne stood by the sidelines as they were about to draw cards to determine the next pair that were going to face each other.
"Gabriel Seran versus Leanne Deveraux! Please step up and prepare yourselves." the little announcer guy said as he placed to two cards in another draw.
"Mm surprise, surprise mon cherie." Leanne would say as she'd head towards the designated area.

Leanne Deveraux. Ahh the beautiful Frenchwoman he'd had the opportunity to bump into the previous day, what odd coincidence something like that was to happen. Perhaps she'd taken his talk of clubs to heart. A small grin as he paced his way onto the dueling floor the helmet chastened beneath his arm.
"Bonjour mon ami." he grinned with a competitive grin.
Gabriel paced about the circle shortly sizing the woman up with certain interest. He was amused to see how he would fare against her. Small but more than likely nimble and able to read into moves with a certain determination.
"Match will be gin on my mark!" The announcer commented.
"Best of luck ma belle." A small grin before he hid it behind the mask, and the blade was out wickedly fast.
"En guard!"

Beast!
Well now Leanne knew this man at least had the physical ability to live up to his dreams. At least he wouldn't be so easily targetted like Leanne. She was put in her place back in 552 easily when Jay was not around. Which brings her to the realization that this guy was probably quicker than Cain and Jay, and even the lightning fast Sonia, girl on rollarblades that she had fought back in 552!
However, Leanne had not been thrown totally offguard so she didn't lose a point that quickly! As he went in for the kill for a straight jab, Leanne had shuffled in closer as well and as the jab came close enough when she realized it coming she held her sword upright and found herself doding to her left so that her sword was held perpendicular to his.
If that were successful, she'd quickly twist her wrist in a circular motion which would have her sword wrap around his where the motion would make his sword move with hers simultaneously. Then she'd go in for a jab as well. But judging by how quick this guy was, his reaction time and counters would not disappoint!
"You're fast."

Gabriel went with the quick parries. She'd had some decent skill with a blade having repelled his initial strike and played enough with it to be in control of the situation. Fencing was not merely about strength or speed. They certainly helped with it but the whole thing was about control. Whomever could control or bluff their opponent would end up with the win. This brought the pair onto an even playing field.
Gabriel liked the ideal of it, still he fought her with an air of control. Never letting himself be pulled into a situation as he let her deal with his blade. She'd wrap his about easily until the breaking point came. And there was the jab, this is where the speed played off well. As she jabbed Gabriel thrust into a different direction narrowly avoiding the blade and with the same motion pressed her sword's hilt closer to her center.
"You're not to bad yourself, have some fine sword play there." He replied in a humored tone.
