Where was she? The school auditorium. It held memories for her here, sort of. Back at 552, when she had started out as a freshman in high school, Kate had hung out and hid in the school auditorium when she had wanted to skip class. Well, the blonde wasn't skipping class now. Instead, she was skipping her lunch to walk down memory lane.
The large room was pretty much silent, except for her foot steps. And darker than death on the inside with the curtains drawn tightly shut. The blonde walked down the main aisle, looking at the seats and such.
The auditorium wasn't as kosher has it had been before. A fire had been set in here, and she was wandering around minding her own business. That was when she stumbled across someone almost lying on the ground...

"Mommy never loved me"
"Daddy beat me again!"
"Why do I deserve this?!"
"You bastard, let my daughter go!!"
"NOOOOO MOMMA!!"
"Don't let the bad men get me again..."
Omen cried and cried and cried. Her headphones had died today and left her among the most awful kinds of people. Horrible people. Suffering people. Omen had fled until she couldn't hear their voices anymore. She was going to hide until the visions went away. So many voices....so much pain.
How could they live like that?!
Her ebony fingers clutched at her head as if she squeeze the ugliness out of her brain. Her forehead touched against her knees as she curled into a tight little ball; all she wanted was for it stop.
In a wracking sobbing voice Omen began to sing a song to calm her down, it was one they played for her over and over again in Europe when she was frightened and couldn't understand what they were saying.
"Mary had a little lamb, little lamb, little lamb.
"Mary had a little lamb it's fleece as white as snow.."
It had been funny. It's fleece as white as snow. She too knew the shame of that lamb, to be abnormal...and white. Her eyes were white and o longer worked....even her hair had betrayed her. Omen, Little Omani, was now alone but never forgotten.
Who could forget a freak?
Omen couldn't even have friends. She was doomed to live alone and she kind of liked it that way. Trees were never raped. Rocks were never beaten and the animals did not invoke her power. Maybe that was what she needed...and animal friend. Some kind of dog or cat or maybe even a bird to at least have some companionship with.
Black fingers unloosed their hold on her snowy white head. If she could a seeing eye dog...or something. Maybe things would start to look up.
Then she heard footsteps.

In a room like this, the sounds of some one crying could be heard just about anywhere. So when Kate suddenly heard it, both eyebrows rose. What the hell? Was someone hiding out in here crying? What happened to the good ole fashioned crying in the bathroom thing?
She walked around til she figured out exactly where the hell the sound was coming from. The blonde looked around, and spotted some girl with dark skin and white hair just... crying. Those emerald eyes glanced around, as Kate had no idea what the fuck that girl was doing in here.
Bathrooms were the better places to be while crying. People expected it there.
"Ummm... you okay?"
Yeah, she was a bit off guard and all with this scene suddenly taking place instead of her happy memory lane and all that jazz. It just confused the hell out of her why someone would be crying in the first place. In public, crying was a bad thing. It showed weakness.
