OOC((Malix First))
"Aw son of a bitch!"
David looked down warily as his books, which seemed to have been held securly in his hands, splattered against the floor, sending papers and tests and homeowkr everywhere. It had been a long week for the you Blaze, a week of carefully laid plans and secure friends. He worked hard for this school yet none of them knew about it. Thats not to say rumors hadn't been floating around. Most knew that he was at least involved with trying to make this place better, and that he was one of many who were Ex-Pillars. He gained respect, but was also a target. Or maybe he was just paranoid, he didnt know. He bent down, beginning to clean things up.
His first three classes were horribly boring, so i won't get into those. His last one was what he looked forward too, and because of it it seemed like everything went wrong in the day. First a glass of spilled milk. Then a shattered mirror on his Roadrunner. Now spilled books. they weren't huge problems, but when piled on top of one another things started to egg at you. It didnt help that every individual walking by him stepped on papers and didnt bother trying to help him pick them up. Not to mention the beatdown that was going on somewhere within the few hallways around him- he could hear grunts and yelps of pain. He took a deep breath, grasping his annoyance with a firm grip.
He had to stay in control.
So, he just fumed silently, trying his best to prevent further damage to his school books and papers.

(OOC: The ol' dump stuff in the hallway maneuver...always a good decision!)
*CLICK*
Malix couldn't help it. She loved photography. It was an art. And art that doesn't capture and convey some emotion is dead, lifeless, worthless.
She snapped the photograph of the male student picking up his papers on the floor and struggling with something inside. His face just said it all. "This day sucks," is what it was saying. Sympathy invades all her senses.
Malix tucks the camera away in her bag and kneels to help pick stuff up. Oblivious to the fight or other dangers that might be lurking in the crowded halls, she collects together tests and homeworks scattered about, some now bedecked with dusty shoeprints in addition to their inky contents.
Malix comes upright and sits back on her heels. "Are you all right?" she asks as she offers the pile of papers. Her expression is open and concerned.

OOC((Why thank you. I do try and be original =D))
David looked up, eyes a little wide as a flash temporarily blinded him. Did she just take a picture? He blinked, clearing his eyes of the small dots in front of them. He looked over to the girl as she helped him pick up his stuffs, smiling a little at the sudden helping hand.
"Yeah, i'm okay. Just dropped ma shit. Excuse the french." He said with a smile. David wasn't generally one to swear so much- usually he did it hardly at all. Yet today just seemed to get on his nerves, and this seemed to be no exception. Then again, she was charmingly good looking and seemed to be nice enough so, deciding to cool his anger and see where this went, he finished picking up his papers and spoke.
"Thanks for the help- everyone around here only seems concerned with trampling my work instead of helping me pick it up."
He stuffed his things in his locker and, deciding to wait until his final period to go to class, opted to skip for possibly the first time in his life.
"Would you like to join me for a walk? I'm feeling in need of some serious oxygen right now..."

(OOC: You're welcome! I like to give credit where credit is due!)
Malix nods silently, forgiving his 'french,' and helps finish the cleanup. "Hey don't worry about it, we all gotta stick together," she says when he thanks her.
Once that's done, Malix stands up and dusts the hallway dust from the knees of her slacks, and adjusts her bag so that it hangs more comfortably from her shoulder.
Hearing his invitation, Malix thinks for a moment. She is all out of classes for the day, and had planned on working on a project during this time...but sometimes you had to roll with the punches, and she decides she can let herself go for a little while and hang out with this guy instead. He seems like he could use a little comraderie. She could use it too; after all she still knows hardly anyone here...and the way Malix reckons it, knowing people is as important as schoolwork in such a dangerous school.
Malix brightens visibly, her decision made. "Sure, but about that oxygen...How serious are we talking here? Tank-and-breathing mask-serious? CPR-serious?" she says lightly.

OOC((Thank you thank you.))
David laughed.
"CPR? I wish!" He said, giving a little wink. "Nah, just the good old fashion, world grown outside oxygen." He started forward, putting his hands in his pockets as he did so. He couldn't help it, but after his statement about wishing for CPR, his thoughts went straight to Bastille. His mood went back to slightly downcast, his eyes turning toward the ground for a moment as he thought about her. He was lonely, to be sure, but he guessed that was best since he wouldn't want anyone who got involved with him to have the kind of mental stress he would bring. David was a bearer of couls to people he cared for, or at least he thought he was. He had never actually been with another girl long enough to say how he would act arounf them when they were alone.
He shook his head slightly as he was wont to do, clearing it of thoughts that regarded his female companion or lack there of.
Turning his attention back to the girl he put back up a friendly smile.
"So, how long have you been here?" He looked her over, not in a way like he was checking her out, but like he was just looking over her body for something. "Not very long i'd say, but your severe lack of injuries." He turned to face forward. "Where are you from? Transferring from another school around here or...?
David reached out, pushing open the side door to the school with little effort, popping out in the courtyard and gardens area. It had been a while since he had been out here- not since he asked for Nicholas Constantines help in a war that didnt look to be ending anytime soon. He kept his pace slow, making sure the girl could keep up with him.
Being a foot taller then someone kinda had that effect.

Malix extends her arms out to the sides and poses nonchalantly as he looks her over. "Oh, not very long at all. I transfered in from a regular high school in a neigboring town about a week ago," Malix says in answer to the student's questions. She follows him, and slips out the door behind him into the courtyard, where the afternoon sun plays lazily across the turf, obscured occasionally by the partly cloudy sky.
His comment about "severe lack of injuries" sticks in her mind, and for the first time she is a little worried. She is not afraid to fight and knows how to...but something in the knowing way the boy had made the comment a part of his introduction told her that things here were worse than she had initially though.
What had she gotten herself into?
Anyways, as they exit the building and traverse the short staircase to ground level she gives her companion a once-over of her own. He certainly is tall, really tall, but manages to not be lanky somehow.
Malix quickens her pace, getting a few steps ahead of him, and streches her arms out and up. She breathes deeply, and then exhales, swinging her arms back down. "Ahh, oxygen!" she laughs. "Delish!" it really was a pretty nice day today, and Malix now hardly believes that she had even contemplated the idea of staying indoors on such an afternoon.
Then turns to the guy. "Now get your fill before I use it all up..." she says warningly, her eyebrows furrowed in mock-sternness.
Then she laughs lightly, and falls back in step with him. "What about you, what's your story?" she asks casually. The weather has put her in a great mood for conversation, and she isn't just asking for something to say; she's genuinely curious about this person.

(OOC: if I'm too late just let me know and I'll delete this nonsense)
On a bench in the middle of the garden area was break. Clad in an unusually nice outfit today he wore a button down shirt with the cotzacon striped up and down it. The spanish design oddly fitted the white boy. His blonde hair was down for once, not its usual faux hawk, but rather a calm charming bangs a little in the face look. in his hands was his guitar, his ovation celebrity, its bright flame colored body glinted in the sun as he fingerpicked out a simple melody. "everyone knows I'm in over my head..." he sang as he picked out each bit. He looked off, thinking while singing as he usually did. oh look, redhead and... my he's tall... and where have I seen him before?
Break couldn't recall where he'd seen the man before and decided to find out. He got up, strapping his guitar across his back johnny cash style and walked over nonchalantly. Break didn't stand out much today, so he may have been unnoticable as he came forward with his big signature grin. no reason not to be straightforward about this...
"Hey there" he said, realizing he'd interrupted their conversation he added. "excuse me, but you seem familiar... have we met before?" he asked this straight to david, his blue eyes locked at david's, for once he wasn't hitting on the chick at all, though he did acknowledge her with a smile and a nod.

If David had a dime for every time he was asked his story he would be damn rich...well, ok, maybe not damn rich, but he might have a fifty Dollar bill!
He took a deep breath, turning it into a sigh.
"Well, i-" He was cut off by a boy who stepped forward, asking him if they had met before. David paused, thinking for a moment. "I'm not exactly sure...you seem faintly familiar." He pointed with a thumb to himself. "David Blaze ring a bell?" He didn't know if the boy heard of him or not and though it didnt matter to him if the kid did it would be far more helpful and far less work. He was still trying to gather his thoughts so he could talk with one person who totally threw him off- The female- and now he had another kid who walked up like someone who wanted the best but often gave the worst, asking him to place a name to the face he apparently remembered.
It didn't occur to him that this was the kid who had been running, or trying to, with him and Ryuu and Trizen after the individual who shot Em in the gym- he didn't take the time to implant the face in his brain. Everything at that moment was still a blur to him and it hurt his head to think about it. He placed his hands behind his head and looked up at the sky as he waited for a reply, trying his best to gather his thoughts and his will.

(OOC: Yeah "Break" I got no problem with you joining in, and it doesn't seem Blaze does either, so we're good to go)
Malix is pretty surprised by the sudden interjection of another student. Apparently, it was of enough importance to the newcomer to interrupt a private conversation in order to assert the fact that he recognized her new acquaintence here.
However, to try and label her emotions as 'miffed' or 'annoyed' is a bit of a limiting thing. Language is a very crude device, especially when used to describe emotions or thoughts. Very few people think in complete sentences or completely sequentially, so trying to capture the entirety of a thought process in words is akin to holding one section of a flowing stream still and examining it; the water simply flows around one's hands and is gone. Certainly interrupting is inconsiderate, but it's also unexpected and therefore interesting...but only to those who confuse raw stimulus with true experience. Which Malix does soemtimes!
Yes, Blaze was the guy's name. David Blaze. He had said it to this blond guy with the guitar over his shoulder, almost as if the name should have been known. Maybe this Blaze thought he had a reputation around these parts...and perhaps he did; Malix could hardly say for sure since she is fresh to this territory and vice versa.
After an awkward pause, Malix speaks. "Oh you guys go ahead, whatever," she says. She sits on the grass and plucks idly at the hem of her pantleg. She was clearly about to become the third wheel here. She's not at all upset; that's just how it goes sometimes.

Break looked about, the redhead had walked away and was picking at grass, and david was attempting to be as polite as possible. Break went a little red in the cheeks, clearly he'd interrupted something important to some degree. "The name doesn't fit, but I think I remember you from right after trizen and ryuu's fight... when we where chasing the girl who shot emily..." Break said easily enough. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to interrupt you guys, I just wanted to..." he trailed off, uncertain what he'd wanted to do. He smiled, and nodded, he held out his hand for a shake "it was nice to actually meet you, I'll be on my way" he said, his eyes widening in a comic manner, he was trying to be smooth and funny to get out with the least amount of awkwardness possible.
