"I see."
Seemed like she did not want to delve into that topic of fathers any longer. He smiled. He too did not want to converse any further into the issue, so he simply shrugged it off his shoulders. He had known from experience, and from hearing other people's stories, that parents were one of the most common cause for their violent and unreasonable behaviour most of the time. At that, she continued, as Cain failed to reply.
"I was just thinking of having a smoothie. Kinda on a diet."
Cain's eyes widened as he made a quick unnecessary scan of her body, quite surprised at her decision to go for a diet. He stopped in his tracks, a soft chuckle escaping his lips as he scratched the back of his head.
"You're joking, right? You don't look like you need to go on a diet. You look the perfect shape to me."
Cain replied, another chuckle emerging from his throat.

Emily shrugged, giving her order of a Mango-peach yogurt smoothie to the lady on the counter and sighed. Well, Emily was quite conscious of her own physique - though, she was not anorexic by any means. "Well, I won't stay that way if I keep on eating as much as I did the past few days." She laughed. "I've been working at this great cafe since last month, and they allow us to have whatever we want when we're hungry. I realized I've been eating a bit too much the past week, so I decided to cut down a bit for the meantime."
Emily chuckled, taking the drink from the lady as soon as it came and paid her bill. Ah, yes. This was a much better canteen than they had at PHS259, and they sure look cleaner - or at least, from where the students can see at least. "It's tough to fight on a full stomach too." She chuckled, "... knowing the students here, I'd be challenged to fight a lot."
Well, Emily wasn't the kind of girl that looked tough from the first view.
Maybe a demonstration would be in order?

Cain nodded his head slowly, understanding her quite well. After all, who could resist the offer of free food, much less free food from a great cafe. That was indeed a great bonus to work in the cafe indeed, even if it was as unglamorous as mopping the floor, or worse. Smoothies and lattes were the best drinks ever invented, or at least, that's what Cain thought. Cain looked at his body at that moment then. Ever since Chrynos had hired him, Cain had indeed been eating a lot more than he usually had in the past. And despite that, he realised, he never seemed to grow any fighter, though he did grow in terms of muscularity.
"It's tough to fight on a full stomach too. Knowing the students here, I'd be challenged to fight a lot."
Cain flinched at the sound of the word 'fight', a smirk coming up on his face as the enthusiastic fighter turned to look at Emily. She was a fighter too? From her body figure, she did not seem like it. However, Cain had come to learn never to judge a book by the cover. At least, that's been the case for Cain the past few months, where he had been beaten in every single one of his fight.
"... Challenged, huh? Yeah, that would be a great thing to have right now."
Cain replied slyly, the tone only helping to get the secret hidden message across, that smirk still on his face.

Oho, looks like the fish caught onto the bait. Emily smirked inwardly as she sipped her drink, leading Cain back out and then they would walk the same path they did before. "Gimme a moment, lemme finish my lunch first." She chuckled. That was meant as a joke though, but of course - she was actually eager to fight right now.
In her excitement, she finished her drink as soon as they arrived at the Gym. Emily stopped and stared at it before looking at Cain. "... What do you know?" she said, "An unoccupied gym, great place to fight on when it's raining like this."
Oh, the subliminal messages!
