Cain first, then anyone else is free to join. :) Let's have fun!
Emily yawned on her way to the school cafeteria. Man, it was such a rainy day, and she had to take a really, REALLY long detour and pass through several buildings just to get some lunch. Emily liked the rain, but she hated it when she forgot to bring an umbrella, which was something very often. She pulled her jacket close, as she wasn't used to this cold yet. San Francisco was a ways up from Long Beach, and obviously also a ways colder.
She shivered lightly. Man, she'd really be looking forward to December at this rate. Heck, it wasn't even close. "... so cold. I dunno when I'm gonna get used to these temperatures."
And with her having been feverish since birth, that's saying something.

Cain was truly an awkward sight that day, as he stood under the shelter of a building, his eyes staring upwards at the dark rain clouds as they continued to cry upon the city of San Francisco. He was wearing a blue hoodie, a white singlet under that, and a pair of black cargo pants. For footwear, he had his Nike Overplay IVs. And what really made him more awkward was the umbrella in his hand. Did he not know how to use an umbrella? Such a question would be the first thought that would come to every passer-by's head, though Cain would simply ignore the glances.
He was too deep in thought to care. Too deep in thought in what has been going on with him the past few weeks. First, he was reunited with Leanne, his long lost love. After that, he had fought against Gabriel, who utterly defeated him, and a couple of other stronger fighters after that, like Matrim, Stu and Travis. And the most impressive moment, though, was during his battle with Mr. Orange. He would have thought that he would survive that ordeal. Cain never thought anyone could be that powerful, but it seemed that someone succeeded in reaching that level. And it made Cain excited. It meant that he too could be that strong.
"... so cold. I dunno when I'm gonna get used to these temperatures."
He was pulled out of his thoughts as a voice came from his side. Turning his head, he found himself looking at a white-haired female who was holding her jacket in, obviously cold from the rain. He stared at her peculiarly coloured hair for a moment, before realising how hypocritical he was being. He had blue-coloured hair, for crying out loud.
Raising the hand that held the umbrella, he opened his mouth.
"Umm... Need an umbrella?"

"Umm... Need an umbrella?" Emily looked towards the voice. It was a boy with blue hair. A very unusual hair color, even for Emily. Otherwise, he seemed normal -- at least by the first impression. Emily just smiled and shook her head. "No. I'm fine. I just need to get used to the colder climate."
First impression? Quite nice actually. "Thanks for the thought." She smiled at him, thankful that someone could be kind to a stranger within the confines of the school. Things have been quite wonky for the white-haired female the past few days. If anything though, she could use a good warm-up for the day. Nothing better than a good old fight in the gymnasium, but who to right? That's the question.
Oh well~

"No. I'm fine. I just need to get used to the colder climate. Thanks for the thought."
Cain nodded his head, lowering the hand that held the umbrella. His eyes stayed on her, however. She was pretty adorable, and having white hair only made her seem more attractive. She pretty much had the same trait as he did, where despite having odd-coloured hair, no one actually laughed at them for it. You see, their coloured hair contrasted well with their skin and their eyes, so it only made them look more... Unique in a good way.
At that, he looked out into the rain once more, wondering when it will ever stop. True, he had an umbrella and all, but that did not mean that he had to face the rain, right? Besides, the girl beside her might need a little help going somewhere, so he would be there to help her, at least.
"So, uhm, where are you heading to?"
He asked, giving her a hospitable smile.

Emily's answer was simple. "The School Cafeteria," She answered, resuming her walk. "Care to join me? It's about lunchtime."
She had a smile on her face, but she was still quite cold. God forbid she would think of using her Qi for such menial a purpose as trying to get warm. Her Qi drains off her energy too quickly, and might even cause her to lose her senses. Literally.
"It's quite cold all of the sudden, don't you think?" She told him, should he follow her as she went on her detour to the cafeteria. "Does it snow here in San Fran during the winter?" It was an honest question from someone whom had never stayed here long enough to find out. They passed by the covered pool and the Covered gymnasium. Food first before fighting, she supposed.

"The School Cafeteria, care to join me? It's about lunchtime."
Cain glanced at her, before glancing back at the rain. Well, it wouldn't hurt now, would it? Besides, he felt a little hungry himself, if not starving. He turned back to Emily, before finding that she was already walking away. Cain's eyes widened a bit in slight shock, but he soon recovered, the male pacing forward to catch up with the white-haired female.
"It's quite cold all of the sudden, don't you think? Does it snow here in San Fran during the winter?"
Cain looked at her for a moment, giving a soft smile as he shook his head, before following it up with a shrug, a simple body gesture that meant 'I don't know.' Of course, to prevent further confusion, Cain would verbally convey the message too, as he replied.
"Uhm, I don't know. I only moved here five weeks ago, and I haven't experienced any snow."
And wow, how could he have forgotten? Being the social individual as he was, despite being clueless about a lot of things, he was surprised that he had forgotten the first thing to do when meeting a new person. Self-introduction! Cain stuck out his right hand for a handshake, taking note not to squeeze at all as she took his hand.
"My name's Cain, by the way. Cain Alexander. Nice to meet you."

"Oh, I guess I've been here longer than you have then." Emily looked at Cain, smiling. "I'm Emily. Emily Delos Santos. A pleasure."
The two kept walking of course, the canteen wasn't so far off from where they were but the rain was still quite harsh. Emily was slightly disappointed that she wouldn't know if there were some things such as snow here in San Francisco. Maybe she'd ask Ryuu about it next time they had fighting practice. Emily was thinking he had lived in San Francisco for a long time, so she guessed: yeah, she'd ask him.
"How are you finding the school so far?" She said, "You must have met a lot of new people already. What school do you come from?" That was usually the case for most transfers and new students.

"Oh, I guess I've been here longer than you have then. I'm Emily. Emily Delos Santos. A pleasure."
Ah, Emily Delos Santos, huh? That was either a Mexican name or a Filipino one. Or Spanish? Cain listed the possibilities in his head and one by one, assessed them. Well, she could not be Mexican, for she lacked the accent to be one, nor that fiesty attitude that was common among most Mexican. That meant that she was Filipino? She did have that faint Filipino accent. Nodding his head in acknowledgment, he returned the smile. Well, it seemed that neither did she stay long enough to know if it snowed here or not.
"How are you finding the school so far? You must have met a lot of new people already. What school do you come from?"
Alright, one question by one question. Cain smiled for a moment, organising his thoughts as he focused on the first question first, before realising that he could answer both first two questions at the same time. And the third question came soon afterwards. With a smile, he replied.
"Well, it certainly has its share of interesting people, like Gabriel, Travis, Stu and Matraim Gallagher. Too bad I met them in quite painful circumstances. Haha. Other than that, the school has been awesome. And I was in New York's 552 for my freshman and sophomore year, spending 3 months of my junior year in Point Hope in Alaska, before finally moving here. Are you a transfer too?"

Well, it was most certainly surprising that Emily knew all of those Cain had mentioned. Well, guess this guy had gone places after all. "So you know Gabe, Travis, Stu and Matrim as well. Small world, isn't it?" She laughed, "I met the four of them in far better circumstances, though I did meet Travis and ended up having one heck of a fight."
Emily laughed, looking back. Yes, that fight was a particularly interesting one, as Emily had been really pushed to her limit on that one. "They're all quite powerful fighters, I must say. Wait - 552? The PHS 552?"
Emily blinked. Well, she had heard of 552 students from way back on 259, and though she knew a few of 552 transfers, Cain would be the only person Emily knew to be from there. He also spoke of a "Point Hope" in Alaska, if she was correct, David was from there too. "Yes, I'm a transfer. I come from Public High School number two-five-nine in Long Beach. You know, that school with a buncha students that got kidnapped a few months back."
Way to refer to yourself there, Em. "I've heard of those schools, are there a lot of powerful students there too?"

"So you know Gabe, Travis, Stu and Matrim as well. Small world, isn't it? I met the four of them in far better circumstances, though I did meet Travis and ended up having one heck of a fight."
Cain chuckled. Yeah, Travis, that amazingly strong guy that, throughout the fight, had been doing nothing but knocking Cain around, literally. In fact, the first hit had thrown the blue-haired junior out of his feet, before sending him to the side, and there, he was brought down to the ground, before being thrown backwards. Yeah, Cain could remember the whole sequence of how he had become a rag doll.
"They're all quite powerful fighters, I must say. Wait - 552? The PHS 552?"
Cain turned towards her. He had not expected that kind of reaction. Though, he had to wonder, which 552 was she thinking of? The 552 that existed now was but a shadow of the past 552, but despite that, it still held its reputation as being the epitome of the effects of the Corporal Punishment system, be it positive or negative. And Cain had been the head honcho of the new 552 while he was there.
"Yes, the reformed 552." "Yes, I'm a transfer. I come from Public High School number two-five-nine in Long Beach. You know, that school with a buncha students that got kidnapped a few months back."
259? 259?! Cain almost stopped in his tracks, his eyes fixated on her for a moment. Was that not where Chrynos completed his education? At that, he could not help but ask.
"Long Beach, California? Wait, you don't happen to know anyone by the name of Carlos Khundar, do you?"

Reformed 552? So that meant what? Emily just blinked. She knew little of 552, and only heard of it as a school were there were a lot of strong students. "Long Beach, California? Wait, you don't happen to know anyone by the name of Carlos Khundar, do you?"
Emily thought for a bit - Carlos Khundar? While that name sounded somewhat familiar, she couldn't put that name onto any face she remembered. "I'm not so sure." She said, "Does he go by any other name?"
Well, if anything - she's only met this guy once.

"I'm not so sure. Does he go by any other name?"
Cain looked forward for a moment, placing his hand on his chin, rubbing it in deep thought. He knew Carlos had another name, but it was a name that he had dropped when he graduated from 259, so he no longer went by the name. It was Latin, though, Cain remembered that well. What was it again? Chronos? Kranos? No, wait. Chrynos. Ah, yes. Chrynos. He smiled, turning back to Emily as he nodded his head.
"Ah, yes. He went by the name of Chrynos too."
It was then that they reached the cafeteria, Cain opening the door for Emily.

"Ah, yes. He went by the name of Chrynos too." He told Emily, opening the door for her - which she thanked for and walked in. The canteen was not as busy as it was on a sunny day, but that was a good thing at least. Lesser problems while waiting in line.
Chrynos did ring a bell and Emily nodded. "Yes, I do know Chrynos." She told Cain as they approached the line. "I've fought against him before on 259. Why? Do you know him?"

"Yes, I do know Chrynos. I've fought against him before on 259. Why? Do you know him?"
Cain nodded his head quite excitedly, a wide grin on his face. Chrynos had done quite a lot for him and for the past year, had changed his life completely. It was Chrynos that sent him to Point Hope, dragging him away from the dangers of New York. It was also Chrynos that sent him here, knowing that he would be better off here than in New York. Apparently, turning him into the underdog again would be a good change for Cain, than instead of being the top dog in 552.
"Yeah. He picked me up from the streets of New York and gave me a chance to enjoy life, unlike my father."
His smile slightly faded away as he reached the last few words. His father. The father who had treated him no better than he treated his empty glass beer bottles. The father who made him go through harsh trainings after he found out that Cain had that fighter's instincts. The father who thought of him as nothing more as an insurance were he to get injured, someone who could take over when he got too old. He was not a son at all. As they reached the line, Cain continued.
"Are you going to buy something? 'Cause I'm not exactly hungry. Guess I'll just watch you eat, huh? Haha."

Emily grinned as she watched Cain become quite excited. It seems that Chrynos was a good friend of his, and though Emily never really knew Chrynos all that well - she knew that he did give her a rough time. God, she could barely even remember who won that bout. Maybe one day, they would be able to settle the score.
"Yeah. He picked me up from the streets of New York and gave me a chance to enjoy life, unlike my father."
Emily's smile faded when Cain's own did. Emily couldn't relate though, considering that the person she considered to be a father wasn't really perfect, since he was away all the time - but he was relatively good. It sounds as if Cain really disliked his father, so Emily left it there. "I see."
"Are you going to buy something? 'Cause I'm not exactly hungry. Guess I'll just watch you eat, huh? Haha." He said, as the two approached the counter. Emily just nodded.
"I was just thinking of having a smoothie. Kinda on a diet."
Yeah, Emily was on a diet. Emily wasn't perfect, and her body wasn't miraculously not gaining weight. If anything, she realized she had gained around ten pounds since she got out of that correctional facility. Within healthy range, of course - but still.
